We hired George Street for both photography and videography at our wedding. After really enjoying our engagement photos, we were very excited to work with them again. Unfortunately..., the wedding experience and final product fell far short of expectations, especially considering the high price point.
We spent hours creating a detailed timeline and shot list, but later learned the photographer never looked at it. Because of that, we missed several of the most important photos we wanted — including simple portraits of just the two of us smiling, kissing, or standing together, which had been clearly requested and even supported with inspiration photos. The photographer’s posing options also felt very limited, and he repeatedly pushed us into poses we had already said we didn’t like. When I expressed that I needed a short break for air conditioning, I was told “no” and pressured to keep going, which was upsetting on such a stressful day.
On the videography side, there were equally frustrating issues. The groom was never mic’d, so our vows are inaudible in the video. The reception speeches are also echo-y and very hard to hear. For such meaningful moments, this was a huge disappointment.
The editing quality was inconsistent as well — some photos were so over-edited that the groom’s blue suit appeared purple. And while George Street was communicative, the customer service felt mediocre at best. We received duplicate and overly frequent emails, yet the important materials we were asked to prepare — like the shot list — didn’t seem to be used at all.
We invested a lot into George Street expecting a polished, professional result. While we will cherish the few photos and clips that turned out well, overall the experience felt mediocre, and sadly we would not choose George Street again nor recommend them based on our wedding day experience.
