Additionally, the beginning of the video cut off an important moment with the grandmother, further diminishing the value of the recording. Despite raising concerns, no corrections were made and the promised DVD version of the video-as outlined in the contract -was never delivered. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent, and our concerns were not treated with seriousness they deserved. For such a significant and meaningful occasion, the lack of professionalism, care and follow-through in delivering a proper wedding video has caused lasting disappointment for our family

She had to be repeatedly prompted to take key photos, including moments like the father-daughter dance. ​The quality of the work was incredibly lacking. Many of the photos were unflattering, poorly angled, and taken without our family and friends being ready, which is especially devastating for such an important day. ​It's truly heartbreaking to put so much effort into planning a beautiful and perfect wedding day, only to have the person you entrusted to capture those memories deliver such low-quality work with a complete lack of enthusiasm. My daughter is absolutely devastated. We feel this company should not be listed on platforms like The Knot.

on, 1 cocktail hour, 1 dinner reception). We paid over $6K in total for these services. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst contractors we worked with for our wedding. The reason behind hiring GS for all of these services was so that the team knew each other and knew how to work together throughout the day but as the planning process and wedding day itself went on, no matter who was working together at the time, there was no cohesive team. We gave GS 1-star for the following reasons. 1. Planning: Throughout the planning process (18 months) there was confusion as we kept receiving multiple emails from multiple representatives from GS all saying different things even though everything was up to date. 2. Engagement Shoot: We were notified by GS that our engagement photo location was too far for the photographer so we changed it only to be contacted by the photographer privately to say the original location worked better for her, so that's where we went. This shows a clear lack of communication between the office and photographers. 3. Ceremony 1: Following the first ceremony we stayed for post ceremony photos, as usual. This process was disorganized despite a very clear shot list that we provided which is not just on GS but also on our wedding planner, however the photographer seemed lost when all they had to do was follow the shot list. Following these photos, the photographer and videogrpaher wanted "a few more shots." This eventually led a to 45-minute shoot past family photos in which the photgrapher and videographer were constantly fighting over shooting us, showing us that they didn't know how to work together. We missed our entire luncheon with our guests and the remaining wedding day schedule was delayed which caused significant problems that I will explain later on. I am regretful to this day that I didnt tell them enough was enough. 4. Ceremony 2: As stated above, due to the schedule delays, my wife and I had to skip our planned first look and private vows and instead do them on the upstairs balcony of her getting ready room, giving us no privacy. Post ceremony, more photos were taken with family, as usual. We then went outside for photos with our bridal party. The lead photographer went with the groom and the assistant went with the bride. The bride and maid of honor had to then request photos and suggest different shots be taken as the assistant photographer was standing there, doing nothing. Finally came the bride and groom shots. It had just rained so the grass was wet but the photographers suggested we go on the grass anyway. My wife's shoes were constantly getting stuck in the mud and the bottom of her dress was getting dirty. 5. Post wedding video and albums: The wedding video came out ok, there was more expectation than result but I suppose that's on us. GS also sent us album designs for approval approximately 5 months after wedding, after we emailed them asking for any update on the status of the album. Upon review we found that there were duplicate pictures in the album. We had to reject the album and fix the issues. We finally received the finished albums yesterday, approximately 6 months after our wedding. Bottom line, for the price we paid, we did not AT ALL feel like we got what we paid for. For the most important day of our lives, GS swung and missed big time, but I guess so did we for signing with them.

e photographer himself couldn't take straight pictures or angle it well. He had no artistic vision (made us take separate engagement pictures and posed us like high school seniors for example). Only did portraits, not even staged "candid" pictures; no picture of the rings, took pictures of vendors and posters that the venue had hanging?? Super questionable. Like an amateur hobby photographer taking pictures with a phone, but not even doing the basic poses or shots. Editing? Pretty much just Instagram filters. The photographer even brought his wife to our wedding without telling or asking us, which was weird. All in all, it was the main source of our frustration and disappointment; it was so hard to pick what pictures to put in an album because the majority of them were the same or just bad (lighting, frame, vision). Would not have signed if we knew what we were actually getting.

If you're looking for someone who is not only talented but also deeply committed to capturing your day in the most genuine and beautiful way, look no further. As paying clients who were let down by their services, we expected understanding, support, and a genuine effort to make things right. To add insult to injury, when we tried to address the issues with the company, they attempted to silence us with a non-disclosure and 25% refund as a monetary offer, seemingly trying to avoid negative reviews. We find this approach not only unhelpful but also concerning, as it suggests that the company prioritizes its reputation over transparency and customer satisfaction. We're sharing our experience to protect the interests of future clients and to provide an honest account of our dealings with George Street Photography. Despite any potential settlement or offer, we're committed to sharing the truth about our experience. Typically the package we chose comes with an album; however, the coordinator who helped us with booking allowed us to do an engagement photo shoot in lieu of the album. We also really liked that we were able to select which local photographer we used. On our wedding day, our photographer Tony truly went above and beyond. He arrived early, ready to capture every moment and detail. His professionalism and calm demeanor helped ease our nerves, allowing us to fully enjoy the day. He was extremely helpful and assisted the men with their ties and even noticed when my bustle wasn’t done correctly which allowed us to fix it before our first dance. We are so grateful for the stunning photos that Tony delivered, which will allow us to relive our special day. video at my wedding? So I called George street and few others but George stood out immediately. Firstly their price was VERY transparent and fair for what I was getting. I was designated a personal consultant who took a LOT of time to get to know me and give me personalized attention. I did not feel like they were trying to "sell me" which a lot of times when I was planning my wedding I felt people were SO pushy. They have a wedding portal that makes everything seamless and easy. The day of the videographer was excellent. He contacted me before and had a nice discussion on what I wanted and made sure everything day of was seamless. I am so pleased with my wedding video and short, they were really well done and to my specifications! I would %100 use them again and recommended them. Do not hesitate!

For example, you can select between brighter or warmer photos; you can select more traditional or abstract photos. It then narrows down to three photographers in your area. You look at each photographers portfolio, however you never get to speak with the photographer directly. We booked with George street in December 2022 and didn't get to actually speak or meet with our photographer till our engagement photos in April 2023. I am giving three instead of four starts because he did a great job at the engagement session and made us feel very comfortable. Fast forward to wedding day, our wedding photographer had not come to scope out spots for bridal party photos or first look locations. This delayed the wedding substantial and made me (the bride) extremely stressed out. Because he did not scope out locations ahead of time he spent almost a half an hour looking around (A VERY LARGE GOLF COURSE) and we didn't get to do half the pictures I wanted. I only got to do bridal party photos for ten minutes, when we allotted 45 minutes for pictures with our immediate family and bridal party. After the ceremony, things ran smoothly. I have not received my photos yet (which is normal since we just got married last week) but I will make another review of the quality of the photos once I get them. If you want a closer relationship with your photographer and better DIRECT communication with your photographer I suggest looking elsewhere. George Street is a third party who finds local photographers in your area and helps you decide on portfolios. You do not get to interview or speak to any of the photographers prior to your shoots, which I would have liked to have known before booking with this company.

However, on the day of the wedding, one of the photographers decided not to show up at all for my getting ready location, leaving me without any getting ready photos, while my spouse had an abundance of them. Lack of Compensation: When we reached out to George Street about the missed event, they refused to provide any monetary compensation and instead claimed that the photographer stayed later at our reception as a form of compensation. This was not what we wanted; we needed those precious moments captured at a specific event (getting ready), not additional reception coverage. Missed Key Moments at the Reception: At the wedding reception, we expected the photographers to document significant moments, such as my spouse's dance with his grandmother. Regrettably, they failed to capture this memorable moment, yet there were numerous unnecessary photos of random guests' children running around. Unauthorized Use of Family Photos: I arranged for a family member to step in and take some getting ready photos to compensate for the photographer's absence. Since we ordered our wedding albums through George Street as part of our package, and George Street did not capture any getting ready photos for me, I worked with George Street to get them to include one specific shot that my family member took in our wedding album. However, George Street not only failed to provide the other desired detail photos due to not sending a photographer to the scheduled event but also inappropriately watermarked and claimed ownership of my family member's photo on their website. Rushed and Unpleasant Experience: When I finally arrived at the main venue from my getting ready location, the photographer who didn't show up at my getting ready venue rushed through taking my photos. The resulting pictures turned out to be of poor quality, failing to capture the essence of the moment. We ended up with over 3000 photos and had maybe 50 that were good. Difficulty in Obtaining Purchased Products: Our package included multiple wedding albums and photo prints, which we struggled to obtain. We had to send multiple emails and make multiple calls to request separate codes for each album or photo print that we had already paid for. George Street did not inform us that this was part of the process. Flawed Website for Album Creation: The website provided by George Street for creating the wedding album continually added extra albums to the cart, making the process extremely frustrating. We had to email and call on multiple occasions for a workaround to even be able to order our album. It also didn't save any progress when making edits, forcing us to start over multiple times. Unexplained Removal of Photos: After finally completing our wedding album, we discovered that George Street had removed one of our carefully selected photos without notifying us. This happened to be the only photo we had of my spouse's dad's side of the family. The website specifically instructed us to add up to 51 photos. We added exactly 51, and then George Street removed one without informing us. We strongly advise future clients to be cautious when considering this company for their photography needs.
