Georgetown Ballroom was the perfect venue to host our wedding. Danielle Crowson was our point of contact and our day of coordinator, and she was a dream to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable about each step of the wedding process, and worked with my fiancee and I for over a year and a half, with regular check ins, to get us to our dream wedding. She made recommendations for various vendors, many of which we ended up using, which made communication and coordination smooth.
The venue itself is gorgeous - full of exposed brick, colorful hanging lanterns and vintage signage. Our guests kept remarking how “us” it felt, which was a huge compliment. It’s formal enough to make the ceremony feel special, but also has a fun, casual vibe that hit the mark on what we were looking for when it came to our party and reception. We opted to have a few vintage pinball machines out, which were a hit with our guests, as well as a disco ball, and it was the party we had hoped for!
On to the food - in house catering for us was a big selling point because it was one less thing we would have to coordinate. The food here is INCREDIBLE. We had salmon, chicken, potatoes, beets, and Brussels sprouts for dinner, and everything was perfectly cooked and tasted like it was made in a 5 star restaurant. We still have guests remarking on specific dishes they can’t stop thinking about. For passed apps we opted for pork belly sliders, Mac and cheese bites and Vietnamese spring rolls, all of which were incredible. Finally, we had a hot dog and sausage air stream for late night bites, which was a huge hit and cost effective for us. GTB prides themselves on a seasonal menu highlighting produce and flavors special to the PNW, and they absolutely hit the mark.
We cannot recommend GTB enough. It was our dream to be married in Georgetown, and Danielle and her team made it possible for us to do so. Thank you Danielle for everything!
We are absolutely thrilled with our decision to book Georgetown Ballroom for our wedding. The venue is breathtaking, with its stunning red brick accents and beautiful lanterns. There are countless picturesque spots throughout the venue, perfect for capturing beautiful memories. The in-house florist exceeded our expectations with the bouquets and ceremony florals, adding an extra touch of elegance to our special day.
The real highlight of our experience though was working with Danielle. Her organization and professionalism over the 16-month planning period were invaluable. She brought a calming presence to our busy day, making the entire process a joy.
Our wedding day was flawless, thanks to the incredible staff at Georgetown Ballroom. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the attentive servers, bartenders, and other staff members. We cannot recommend Georgetown Ballroom enough!
We had the most magical wedding at Georgetown Ballroom this June, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of venue! From the moment we booked, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect.
The ambiance and space at Georgetown Ballroom are absolutely stunning. The indoor area has a beautiful, intimate charm, while the outdoor space is perfect for cocktails and mingling. The food and bar service were exceptional. Every dish was delicious, and the drinks were expertly crafted. Our guests are still raving about the food!
The staff deserves special mention. Their professionalism and attention to detail allowed us to focus on each other and the joy of the day. They were attentive, friendly, and truly cared about making our wedding day unforgettable.
We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful, stress-free wedding day. Thank you, Georgetown Ballroom, for making our dreams come true!
Any questions?

BEST. DECISION. EVER.
I was going to wait until we had our professional photos back, but I have to rave about this place. From the first venue tour to the goodbyes on the big day, my husband Joey and I knew we were in fantastic hands the whole time. Danielle and the entire Georgetown Ballroom staff were key in the night going exactly as expected, and they really couldn't have done better in my opinion.
From kindly answering way-too-early questions of mine to accommodating extremely last-minute needs, Danielle never once made me feel silly or stressed. She was such a superstar to work with the entire time, juggled a bunch of plan changes, and all while really helping us remember that this was our day and it should be how we wanted.
If you and your partner in crime are looking for a funky venue with personality, an amazing staff, and yummy food, all for extremely reasonable prices (especially for Seattle), Georgetown Ballroom is your place. This may sound like a paid review but that's just how awesome of an experience we had. Cheers, and congrats to all the future couples who choose this magnificent venue to mark the start of their forever!
The Georgetown Ballroom was the second venue we toured, and we booked it almost immediately upon meeting for a tour--there was never any other consideration or second guessing. Everyone we worked with throughout the process was warm, professional, respectful, helpful, and passionate. From the second we walked into the building, we felt like the Ballroom crew cared as much about our wedding as we did, and that sentiment lasted the entire planning process and throughout the whole day. There were times where our coordinators talked about other weddings they were doing, and I really got the sense that they cared so deeply about every single one.
Nancy was always fast and helpful when it came to email communication, questions, and answers. We planned most of the wedding ourselves, but the Ballroom crew was completely invaluable when it came to actually putting rubber to road. From figuring out timelines to plotting which events to include to managing to find the perfect way to set up dinner to allow for special guests, we felt fully supported and empowered by the crew: we had ideas for the wedding, but the Ballroom team (mainly Nancy!) knew how to take those ideas and make them work for us, the staff, and the guests. We had a ton of special considerations and nontraditional ideas, and we were met with warm enthusiasm and only questions as far as "how do we make this as cool as possible?"
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue or a more capable team for our special day. There was more than one occurrence at the wedding where I had the thought of "Did this thing get done?" or "How are we handling xyz?" but my immediate next thought was always "Oh Nancy has it handled." and every single time, she did in fact have it handled. I'm so thankful that we found the Ballroom, and I know that most of our wedding's success was due to the expertise of Nancy and the team.
If there was a way for me to leave a 10-star review, I would!!!
We got married at Georgetown Ballroom and the entire experience from Day 1 has been nothing short of spectacular. From the very first email we sent, we were partnered with Nancy Neyhart to help us execute our perfect wedding, and she went above and beyond. Her commitment to service, communication, kindness, and honesty were so helpful as we planned our wedding. We loved having a single person throughout the almost year-long process that we could rely on and build a relationship with.
The venue itself is spectacular. It was colorful, spacious, bright, and funky, all perfect for a March wedding in Seattle where rain was always in the cards. We were able to visit several times, including an impromptu walk-through with our parents to show them the space long before our wedding day. A lot of other venues we looked at would have charged for an extra run-through, but Nancy was so welcoming and even gave our parents the same magical tour she gave us.
We also got to visit for a menu tasting which was a fun evening that we turned into a date night. Catering was included in the booking, and the food was fabulous! We went with a taco bar and our guests raved about how different and fun our food was to the average wedding. The price was absolutely fair and in-line with caterers we had been researching before booking the venue.
It never felt like GTB was nickel-and-diming us. Every decision was ours to make, with no hidden charges or fees. With Nancy's help, we were able to create the perfect wedding for our budget, our vision, and our guests. We will be singing the praises of this venue for the rest of our lives!
Thank you thank you thank you, Nancy and team. You exceeded our expectations in every possible way.
We had an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience with Georgetown Ballroom! Nancy, our venue manager, was such a joy to work with. Extremely well-organized, made sure we stayed on top of everything, and ran the wedding itself so smoothly we didn't have to even think about lifting a finger. The property itself is just gorgeous, the staff is all so friendly, and the in-house catering is DELICIOUS. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got from guests on how good dinner was. HIGHLY recommend you book your wedding here!
My experience echoes so many of the positive reviews already said. We had our wedding here (~100 guests) and I cannot say enough good things about both the experience with the planning process and the night of the wedding.
The planning process: Danielle, the event manager, was organized, thoughtful, answered all our questions promptly, and gave us ample heads-up with any deadlines we might be approaching. She had a great group of vendors who she worked with (we went with one of her florist and DJ recommendations- both were stellar).
2. The night of the wedding- I heard from many friends to prepare myself for things going wrong and to roll with it - but nothing went wrong! The event staff at Georgetown took care of everything! The food was delicious (many raves about the meal and the appetizers), and the drinks were equally good (a wide range of options + our signature cocktails - the Jolly Roger and the Orange Mojito). The groom and I were able to dance and enjoy the time with all of our guests, knowing that everything was taken care of.
Finally- the venue itself - it was gorgeous and exactly what we imagined for our wedding day. The location is great, just down the street from some fun after-party bars. I cannot recommend Georgetown Ballroom enough.
We had our wedding here (90 guests) and it was perfect, we honestly could not have imagined it going any better. The venue itself is beautiful if you are looking for an immaculately maintained rustic brick aesthetic. 2 things that really stood out
1. The staff. From our event manager, Nancy, who helped plan the day to the event staff working. They are all such warm and genuine people with great organization and attention to detail. They are also one of the few places in the wedding industry that is so transparent with their pricing and policies which really helps with budgeting.
2. The amount of services offered in-house. They have high quality in house catering and bar services as well as venue decorations and backyard games, they literally had everything we needed for the wedding. The only thing we brought in was flowers
Thank You Georgetown Ballroom!
I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Georgetown Ballroom in Sept. 2023 and I can't sing their praises enough.
We decided to select them for our venue mainly because of the Director of Operations, Danielle. She was absolutely wonderful during our initial conversations - offering us flexible options for everything AND was very straight forward with the cost and expectations. What sealed it was that she sent over a proposal that was within our budget *inclusive* of taxes and fees. No other venue had done that and I really appreciated the transparency.
Danielle was with us every step of the way, offering us recommendations for a florist, DJ, and talking us through the flow of the day. We didn't want a traditional ceremony and we wanted a lot of alone time (my husband gets anxiety in large crowds) and she made everything happen flawlessly.
The day of the wedding was absolutely stellar. I came in with a few items that I expected to set up and Danielle and her team just grabbed them from my hands and made it happen. It was to the point where I was sitting around, just hanging out, wondering what to do haha I had planned some set up time where I would more hands on - but I wasn't needed. I could just relax.
The staff was so so nice throughout the entire night. Every staff member that I spoke with was incredibly personable and also knew answers to any questions that I had - or was able to quickly grab the person who did. The team was so well synced it was impressive to see.
The food was INSANELY GOOD. We went with a family style dinner and everyone, weeks later, is still raving about how good the food was. We might have even had too much food - but the taco truck was a must!!
I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone wanting to have their wedding or host any event.
TLDR;
- Staff is incredibly coordinated and personable
- They are very open about cost and willing to work with your budget
- The food was amazing. 10/10 (I dream about those potatoes still)
When my husband and I first walked into Georgetown Ballroom, we knew it was the perfect location for our intimate, 40-person wedding. This gorgeous venue is full of charm and history and highly customizable for events big and small. We immediately fell in love with the brick walls, paper lanterns and other thoughtful details throughout the space. The food and drinks were excellent -- the chef even helped us make a custom Bob’s Burgers style “burger of the day” as one of our appetizers.
But what makes Georgetown Ballroom truly special are the wonderful people who work there. We worked primarily with Nancy Neyhart for more than a year to make every detail perfect. Nancy was responsive to my many, many questions, transparent with us about costs and allowed us to tour the venue multiple times as we were planning our decorations and details. Nancy and the team at Georgetown did more than help us plan a wedding -- they helped us share our love story.
And I can’t go without mentioning the massive hiccup Nancy helped us navigate. On our wedding day, my husband woke up sick, and for more than a few moments, I thought we were going to have to cancel. But the Georgetown Ballroom team went above and beyond to ensure everything went according to schedule. Nancy helped keep me calm, and even brought my husband cold packs and ginger beer in his getting ready suite.
We would recommend Georgetown Ballroom a hundred times over for all types of events. We will be forever grateful to Nancy and her team for her care and dedication to making our wedding happen.
Had our wedding ceremony and reception here in May. We loved everything about this place. This was the only venue for us, the only venue we visited, and we couldn’t have imagined a more magical day.
We chose the Ballroom because it is a place with a lot of Seattle history, in a neighborhood we love, and when you first walk in and see the colorful hanging lanterns, the decor, the neon signs, it takes your breath away.
They’ve got it all. Not only did it make our lives easier, but the quality of everything they do is amazing. From the flowers, to the food, to the decor, linens, outside courtyard games, it is impressive. We were lucky enough have a beautiful sunny day so that we could get married outside and enjoy the courtyard space, an added bonus.
We owe the team at the Georgetown Ballroom many thanks for helping make our wedding celebration so memorable and special.
Danielle, our planner - what a lovely and generous person. Appreciated all of her guidance and recommendations. We always felt we were in the most capable hands.
Nancy was our officiant and surprised us with the most heartfelt and funny ceremony speech. It was perfect.
To the chefs: the food was delicious. The food was so talked about during dinner, this bride and groom actually took the time to eat it.
Every single person at the Georgetown Ballroom was kind, professional, attentive and made not only us, but every guest feel welcome and well cared for.
We are still hearing from family and friends how much they loved the space, the food, and the entire staff at the the Georgetown Ballroom. And we all had such a fun time! Can’t wait for the opportunity to go back again, this time as guests!
I booked Georgetown Ballroom for team holiday party for work, and I could not be happier with how everything went. From the initial venue tour until after the event, the level of customer service was exceptional. My contact at GTB was responsive and very helpful. I loved that everything needed for our event could be or was provided in-house – and the quality was top notch. We were able to customize a menu that met all of our needs and received rave reviews from our staff. The venue itself is incredibly beautiful and needed no additional décor – a factor that was very important to me because in previous years at different venues I had to do quiet a bit of decorating. We were also able to incorporate some games to add to the fun of the event. Our team members loved the yard games in the courtyard! The only real concern that I had going into the event was parking, which can be challenging in Seattle. GTB had that covered as well though! They have a few lots available to guests and you are able to reserve a pay lot for a small fee where guests can park when provided with parking tickets. We consider this event to have been a glowing success and are planning on holding future events at Georgetown Ballroom.
We were planning our wedding from across the country and Danielle and the staff at Georgetown Ballroom made it the easiest, least stressful experience we could ever imagine. They were communicative, had recommendations for everything that we could possibly imagine, and overall were just so helpful. All of our guests were raving about the venue and how fun the decor was, and about the food! I feel like sometimes when you are locked into a specific chef or caterer based on the venue, the food is often subpar, but that is absolutely not the case for Georgetown Ballroom! People were literally chasing down the servers for the Korean chicken bites and prosciutto wrapped dates during cocktail hour! And the bartenders and servers were awesome! Jose was the lead bartender and he and his crew made sure that I (the bride) had a drink in my hand and was having a good time all night long! He even came and found me outside and replaced my beer! If you are thinking about booking this place, just do it! You won’t regret it!
The Georgetown Ballroom was the most fun and magical place to have our wedding. It easily accommodated our almost 200 guests with great food, drinks, pinball machines, and a spacious courtyard to relax in. Danielle was especially amazing as the venue coordinator. She was available to answer questions and meet with us as often as needed before the big day. She worked so hard on the day of the wedding to get everything ready and make sure we were taken care of and could relax. We would highly recommend using this venue and working with all the great staff there!
Danielle is a phenomenal coordinator and If you want a stress free wedding, this is your place! The venue is gorgeous on its own so we were able to save time & money on decorations/set up, plus they had a stock of easels, candle holders, cake stands etc so we saved a lot on those little items that add up quickly too. Everything was laid out clearly with no hidden fees and Danielle follows up so fast that the entire process was a breeze, we planned the wedding in 4 months and it was perfect… I’m still shocked I wasn’t panicking at all during this process and it’s thanks to Danielle. Can’t recommend them enough, we had a blast!
We had looked at a few venues and visited Georgetown last. We knew from our very first meeting with Danielle that Georgetown was going to be the venue for us, and that Danielle was someone we could trust. Danielle was amazing every step of the way. She has a lot of experience and connections from prior weddings, and helped us pick our photographer, officiant, and wedding band, all of which were absolutely terrific vendors as well. Danielle was always there for us, and whenever we had a question or concern she would always swoop in to save the day and address any worries we had. Wedding planning is a generally stressful thing to do, but Danielle does everything in her ability to help make it easy for you every step of the way. Additionally, the waitstaff at the venue are incredibly kind and attentive as well. Whenever we had a question or request, they were incredibly patient and genuinely happy to help. Many of our guests complimented the uniqueness of the venue as well as the great service that the waitstaff provided. All in all, words really aren't enough to express how grateful we are for Danielle and the staff at Georgetown -- just know that they are absolutely wonderful and you will be glad you picked this venue!
Great, unique venue with fabulous food. The team is really great and makes sure to be with you every step of the way! We were able to do customized food at our wedding and they thought of everything.
The Georgetown Ballroom was the first venue we toured for our hunt for the perfect wedding venue, and we fell in love right away. We only toured one other venue before deciding that there was no beating this beautiful space with its eclectic and unique décor and atmosphere. You could probably get away with not having any of your own décor since the venue itself is so decked out with tons of vintage and rustic accents. They even have a super cool “Jolly Roger” neon sign that we knew we wanted to get married under.
The true jewels of the venue, however, is the incredible staff. Danielle, the venue coordinator was always prompt and is dedicated to communicating with you throughout the whole process. We had an unusually long engagement (2 years) but I never got the impression that we were ever bothering her by asking questions. She worked well with our wedding coordinator and helped pull off the most perfect day. The rest of the staff were incredibly attentive, and I felt they all went above and beyond to make sure we and our guests were taken care of in every respect, and I received tons of compliments about the food we had. Our wedding went without a single hitch and if I were to do it all again, I would still say “I do” to the Georgetown Ballroom.
We got married at Georgetown Ballroom and had the best experience. Danielle was so professional and always prompt with email responses and answering any questions we had. We were originally scheduled to get married in Summer of 2020 and they were very flexible when we decided to reschedule to summer 2021. When things were up in the air with masks, guest counts and covid protocol, they were super prepared for any scenario, which made us feel so much better. Day of the wedding everything went smoothly and they handled everything with ease. The service, food and everything was incredible. The space is so amazing and we fell in love with it when we first saw it. It has great flow, with three distinct areas: the courtyard (surprisingly spacious), the ballroom for dancing and the dining area next door). Most other venues we looked at seemed to just be one room with a dance floor in the middle. There also isn't any need to decorate because the space already has so much going on. For our cake table, they set up the cutest display of antiques, which was such a nice surprise. Be sure to book here, you won't regret it!!
A very big thank you to Danielle and the entire GTB staff. We received so many compliments on how amazing the venue is, how friendly and attentive the staff was, and that the food was delicious. Many of our guests are still telling us how ours was the best wedding they had ever been to - and that's largely due to Georgetown Ballroom. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. We so appreciated how Danielle took care of everything for us, the day-of. We actually were able to enjoy the wedding and soaked up all the love that radiated throughout the day. Also, we appreciated how patient she was throughout the whole process - especially given the multiple reschedules due to the pandemic. I highly recommend Georgetown Ballroom for a wedding or event.
We had an absolutely amazing time for our wedding at the Georgetown Ballroom and it was better than we could have imagined, especially given the current COVID circumstances. Danielle was a delight to work with and made wedding planning a breeze. We loved that the food was amazing, the flowers were beautiful, our pups could walk down the aisle, the DJ recommendation was awesome, all of the setup was taken care of including setting out the seat assignments and cake assembly, and we were able to really enjoy our day. We would highly recommend the GB to other couples looking for a Seattle wedding venue.
We got a month to plan our wedding and I am SO Happy I stumbled upon the Georgetown Ballroom, but speaxilly their amazing planner Danielle! From our first call, I knew that this venue and planner were the ones. The food, the flowers and the decor were just absolutely beautiful; and the precautions they took during COVID we’re just FORMIDABLE. A week and a half before our wedding indoor everything was shut down, and they turned their patio into a beautiful wonderland. Although our wedding had to be small, and not much mingling was allowed due to COVID, everyone had an absolutely lovely time. Also, our bartender was amazing!!! 100/10 would recommend!
We were sold on Georgetown Ballroom from our first meeting with Danielle, the Director of Operations. I realized instantly that I could trust her: none of the possible challenges we mentioned (3.5 month timeline, baby on the way, unusual seating configuration, etc.) seemed to rattle or faze her. She is a professionally trained chef who has opened restaurants and managed events at large venues, so she is professional, competent, calm, patient and super supportive - everything I hoped for and needed during a very stressful (and sometimes emotional) period.
Everything about our day went so smoothly and according to plan. All of our parents and family live out of state, and they kept asking us how they could help. We kept telling them, "Georgetown Ballroom has it all under control. Just relax and enjoy the day!" The entire staff was friendly, sincere, and really kind and attentive to all of our guests - we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I read in previous reviews that the food was not your typical "wedding food," and let me just say: Chef Silva NAILED IT. The vegetarian menu in particular is outstanding and made selecting dishes really difficult. In fact, almost every guest I've talked to raved about how delicious the meal was (particularly the gnocchi) and how the flavors left them wanting more. One of my cousins laughed as she told me how she took it upon herself to clear all of the platters on her table just so she could request more gnocchi...only to discover it was all gone! So many friends warned us in advance that they left their own weddings hungry, but that certainly wasn't the case for us. Georgetown assigned a dedicated server to the bride and groom so that we had a chance to eat - not only dinner, but also appetizers while we were signing the wedding license and pre-ceremony snacks to settle our nerves.
We are grateful for all of the hard work, time, and energy Georgetown Ballroom invested into our wedding. Quite simply, we couldn't have pulled off our wedding without Danielle, Nancy, Chef, and the rest of the team - in fact, we were a little sad when the wedding was over because we enjoyed engaging with them so much. Hands down the best wedding planning decision we made!
Response from the Vendor on 04/14/2020
Amber & David- Thank you so much for this fantastic review. It is greatly appreciated and I will make sure to share this with my team. Send baby photos when you have them! - Danielle
Georgetown Ballroom's team made what's supposed to be one of the most stressful days of your life an absolute dream. The staff was incredibly professional, responsive, and capable. Our entire day flowed seamlessly thanks to their expertise. The experience was so wonderful that my husband has said to me several times since that he wishes we could get married again and again.
Response from the Vendor on 01/26/2020
Thank you so much for your kind words. You both were an absolute pleasure to work with!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We got married here last week, and could not have imagined hosting anywhere else. You know that feeling when you're hosting a big event and you feel completely prepared for something to not go to plan? At Georgetown, I highly doubt anyone ever needs to feel that way. Nancy was an absolute DREAM to work with, and her entire team was always one step ahead of me. From start to finish, GTB absolutely killed it. The space, the atmosphere, staff professionalism, the food (yummmm, I think everyone is still dreaming about the hot dog cart), and the bar were all exceptional. If you want a unique with lots of personality, and TOP NOTCH service, don't look anywhere else. I promise you won't be disappointed.
My husband and I were married at Georgetown Ballroom in August 2019. WE LOVED IT. The venue is of course unique and special. The food was spectacular. There is parking for guests nearby. There is on site décor. And there is Danielle, the Director of Operations and Day-of Coordinator. I’m sure we would have loved our wedding just based on the venue, but Danielle is the reason we had the wedding of our dreams. She was always available to answer questions, make things clear, keep track of all the small details, bounce ideas of off, and make sure we were happy with everything. She’s truly wonderful and we can’t imagine how the day would have gone without her.
There are two large rooms, one for dining and one for dancing with a bar in each room. They have a beautiful brick wall with Chinese lanterns, tons of cool vintage signs. They also have a back patio where you hold the ceremony, as we did. It was honestly perfect (though you do encounter some plane noise, which didn’t bother us but did bother some of our older guests). We would pick this venue over and over again without hesitation based on the ambiance and décor alone. They have décor on site you are able to use. There are tons of possibilities if you want to get creative or if you, like I, want simplicity, they have a great baseline for decorations.
The food was, simply, delicious. We had passed appetizers during cocktail hour and family style dinner to encourage guest interaction. I noticed a lot of clean plates and I myself ate as much as I could before being whisked away. We had a relatively good number of vegans/vegetarians/other accommodation plates which were all handled without any hiccups and we were told those dishes were also full of flavor.
We hope to attend a wedding or some other event at GTB to be on the other end! We can’t thank the whole team enough for a flawless day.
Book this place ASAP! We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at Georgetown Ballroom. From the start of the process we knew we made the right decision. Danielle and her staff really care about your wedding, which was a breath of fresh air compared to other venues who had a "take it or leave it" attitude. Planning was a cinch because they are so on top of things, and communication was frequent and clear. Oh, and their food is incredible! I can't emphasize how this was the best wedding food I've ever had. For the day of, we felt completely cared for by the staff. They think of everything, and the day went off so smoothly. If you want your wedding at a venue that truly cares, I can't recommend the Georgetown Ballroom enough!
Georgetown Ballroom was an amazing venue and Danielle Crowson is amazing. She is calm, prepared and incredible at organizing events and making everything easy. The service for the guests was excellent. Wonderful people and beautiful space! The food was excellent as well.
Georgetown ballroom was perfect for our summer wedding.
The venue is breathtaking. There is so much character and charm. The outdoor courtyard was perfect for our outdoor ceremony and late night cocktails. GTB (Georgetown Ballroom) is the most all inclusive and convenient in the Seattle area for the lowest price. My husband and I viewed many venues but after viewing this one and receiving the proposal, we knew it was the one. They even own and set up the decor so that's a pretty big expense saver right there!
The food was perfect. We had many guests come to us and tell us how amazing the food was. Exceeded my expectations as well!
The employees are out of this world. Danielle worked with us through the whole planning process and she is a gem. She's prompt, patient, and reassured me everything was going to be okay in times of stress. The day of the wedding, every single employee was on their game. My husband and I were checked on throughout the night to make sure we didn't need anything and we were okay. The day couldn't have run any smoother.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Georgetown Ballroom and it was nothing short of perfect! The team was amazing and so easy to work with. The venue itself is so beautiful and quirky, just perfect for my husband and I. Also we received so many compliments on the food! It was delicious. Thanks to Marina and all the staff at the GTB for making our wedding even better than we could have imagined.
I really don't even know where to begin when reviewing Georgetown Ballroom. They were such a huge part of our day, and we agonized over choosing a venue for ages! We saw at least half a dozen, and the minute we stepped into the space at Georgetown we KNEW it was where we wanted to get married. I could go on for pages about how just stunningly gorgeous the space is: the exposed brick, all of the amazing historic signs collected from around Seattle and the unique, vintage feeling of the space.
But what really sealed the deal for us was the people: our day of coordinator Danielle was a lifesaver on so many levels, we could not have had the wedding we did without all of her endless help! I (the bride) sent her SO MANY emails and she was always responsive and kind. She helped us make all of the seemingly endless decisions involved in having a wedding, and the ability she and Georgetown had overall to work with our other vendors and make our wedding effortless day of cannot be understated. And the food! My husband and I are huge foodies and we knew having delicious food was really important to us at our wedding, and man did Georgetown deliver! We had guests telling us how amazing the food was for weeks.
I could go on and on, but I'm just going to finish by saying I could never forget how kind the staff were day of. The worked so hard to help us pull off our big day even better than I imagined. And when I was sick to my stomach during a period of the reception, I was constantly visited by staff to make sure I didn't need anything and to grab me some more tea to settle my stomach. They were so kind and made me feel really at home on our big day.
But don't listen to some raving stranger on the internet, do yourself a favor and book a showing! we would book them again in a heartbeat if we were doing things over again. They made our wedding day completely unforgettable.
My husband and I absolutely loved getting married at Georgetown Ballroom. We were looking for a venue that matched our own unique and quirky relationship, and this one was just perfect. Every step of the process was a breeze thanks to our wonderful contact there, Danielle. She is so patient and helpful, and never once batted an eye at the crazy things we wanted to do with the space. I felt she was invested on our big day, and did whatever it took to make our absurd dreams come true. Highly, highly recommend this venue -- you won't be disappointed.
Georgetown Ballroom made our day so easy. The day-of coordinator on-site was super helpful as was the staff. We loved being able to leave the venue mostly as-is and we only had to bring in a few of our things to truly transform the venue into a Fallout Glam-Post-Apocalyptic wedding venue ever!
We discovered this venue during an open house about a year before our engagement. I remember at the time nudging my not yet fiancee and telling him we should keep it in mind if we ever had a ::ahem:: large event.
Fast forward to a year later and we are newly engaged. This space immediately came back to me. We toured several other places before revising Georgetown Ballroom, but I was in love with this space.
The Service: Danielle was a joy to work with. She and her staff let me tour the venue multiple times with my family whenever they visited from out of town. Not only that, but she was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I cannot even tell you how many emails we exchanged before the wedding. Yet she was always super patient with all my questions and requests to change details around.
The Space: Everyone loved the venue and commented on how unique and personal it was. They also recognized as I had, how you don't really need to decorate since the place has such a great personality already. On top of that, GTB had lots of props that they let me use free of charge to decorate the buffet and dessert table as well as the guestbook table.
The wedding was indoors, but I loved having the option of an outdoor space. My guests loved having cocktail hour outside and then being able to roam under the lights at night.
The Food: The food was incredible! Every single thing we ordered was delicious with the spanakopitas and potato croquettes being the big crowd pleasers.
The Staff: The catering and wait staff were professional and responsive. The took care of me and my husband all night, plating our food ahead of time so we had time to eat and continually checking in on us to see if we needed anything else to eat or drink.
I cannot recommend Georgetown Ballroom enough. I fell in love at first sight and it ended up being the perfect place to host our wedding. They made our special day so beautiful and easy!
We had our wedding at Georgetown Ballroom last weekend and it was the the most amazing evening of our lives! The moment I stepped into the venue when researching spots, I knew this was the place for us. Every last detail was absolute perfection. They were incredibly easy to work with, flexible, and professional. Danielle was amazing to work with; she really pours her heart and soul into her job and it shows with every meeting we had! The food was delicious, the decorations perfect...I honestly could not praise this place enough. Thank you for making our wedding day the best it could have been!
We were so lucky to have our reception at Georgetown Ballroom. Every detail was absolutely perfect. Susie was so great to work with and she saw every detail through from start to finish. The food was incredible and still, a month later, have guests commenting on how delicious it was. I will be referring any bride and groom I meet looking for a venue to Georgetown Ballroom!!
We couldn't be happier that we chose to have our wedding at Georgetown Ballroom! Our ultimate goal was to have a fun wedding and the Georgetown Ballroom venue delivered in spades on that goal. The event went so smoothly and we received tons of compliments from our guests on how much they loved the venue. It really is a great place with room to eat, dance, and take a breather outside.
Danielle was immensely helpful throughout the planning process and helped me think through all the details that I would have never thought of on my own. She was also super responsive throughout the process with every question I had. The staff was friendly and helpful the evening of and our event went off without a hitch - Chris and I couldn't be more grateful!
Georgetown Ballroom is a fun and unique place that is definitely one of Seattle’s hidden gems. It is a dedicated event space, so you probably haven’t heard of it unless you’ve been invited to a party there. My (now) husband and I toured several potential wedding venues, but Georgetown Ballroom was the clear winner. I felt something special as soon as I walked in the door and we both fell in love with this place.
Georgetown Ballroom (GB) is the perfect place to host a wedding, birthday party, or corporate event! Here are some of the reasons why we chose it:
1. Location: GB is located in South Seattle and it is really easy to get to from I-5. My husband and I live and work in Seattle, so we were happy that we found a great venue in the city. (We didn’t want to coordinate a wedding located somewhere else, like the Eastside).
2. Parking: Most of our guests have a car, so we wanted to make sure that they had a place to park. GB has private parking lots that they let you use for free. (The other venues we looked at either had no parking options or it cost an additional fee).
3. Indoor/Outdoor space: GB has both indoor and outdoor space! They have two large rooms inside (Ballroom and Mission Theater) plus a private, nicely landscaped courtyard in the back. We did our ceremony in the Ballroom because they have a cool stage that we wanted to use, but there was enough space for us to do it outside if we wanted to. We did our dinner reception in the Mission Theater. We only had 100 guests, but there was enough room for up to 300 people.
4. Décor: GB has a vintage American/Asian vibe and it is nicely decorated (old suitcases, paper lanterns, etc). The only things we brought in were personal items for the guest book table and a couple of tall hurricane candle holders. (Some other venues come completely empty, so you have to spend a lot of money on décor to make it look nice).
5. Bride/Groom suites: GB has two private suites for the bride and groom. They are fully furnished and very comfortable! The suites are located on mezzanines, so you can still see and hear what is going on downstairs. (The other venues we looked at either didn’t have “getting ready” areas or they offered us boring conference rooms).
6. Dance Floor: GB has a nicely sized dance floor which includes a mirror ball and an excellent in-house sound system. My husband and I took dance lessons before the wedding, so we wanted to make sure that we had a suitable place to show off our moves!
7. Food/Drink: You have to use GB’s in-house catering team (except for dessert), but they are amazing! They are good at all types of cuisine (American, Asian, Mexican, etc), plus you get to do a tasting, so you can customize the menu. (It was nice not having to coordinate an outside caterer). You also have to use GB for your drinks, but this was super convenient. They have different package options and they just billed us for the actual number of drinks consumed. (This was so much easier than buying our own drinks, hauling them to the venue, and then taking home random leftovers).
8. Staff: Jerry, the owner, is a really nice guy and does a great job of maintaining the quality of GB. We enjoyed working with his entire staff (Susie, Danielle, Nancy, Angie). They were all friendly, organized, and very responsive, which we greatly appreciated. On the day of our event, I also thought the food servers provided excellent service.
In a nutshell, The Georgetown Ballroom was perfect. The staff was amazing, I couldn't be happier with the way our wedding went.
The space: It is so unique, the only way I can think to describe it is, Art Deco meets industrial Seattle. The space is formerly the mission theater. With two spaces, the main theater is the dining/reception space and the ceremony/dancing is through a large arch. There are two large rooms but you never feel separated from anyone. You have high ceilings with skylights (that they can close if you'd wish). Authentic Chinese lanterns, vintage decor & signs, and lots of exposed brick. There is court yard with Edison lights and trees as well. The venue space really speaks for itself, I kept my centerpieces minimal and didn't need to do any additional decorating. They have their own wired in sound system, which is helpful when looking for a DJ. They have a bar in each space.
Food/Drinks: They have their own in house chef and order their own alcohol. When it came to drinks they had several package options available or we were able to create something entirely unique. The best part was, they charge based on usage. We didn't have to guess how many bottles of wine or kegs to order and end up with a ton left over.
My husband doesn't drink, but they made sure to have his favorite beverage (glass bottle cokes) available for him all night! THE FOOD-- it was to die for, first of all they have almost every menu option you can think of. You can do a buffet style reception (which we opted for), you can do a plated meal for a more formal feel, or even appetizers. You can pick from their menu or they have several Prix-fixed options to choose from. At our tasting they worked closely with us to develop a menu that made both the foodie and the budget happy. We had an amazing skirt steak and rosemary chicken buffet and saw several people sneak back for seconds!
The Staff: The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing but what really made this experience for me as a bride, was the team. All they wanted was my day to be whatever I envisioned and it showed. I had two points of contact who met with me and responded to every one of my emails (I swear I probably sent them 500). They were extremely organized. Helped me shape a day of time line and they had all my vendor contact information so I didn't have to think about anything on my big day.
On the day of, I felt like there was an entire team of genuinely nice people that were excited to be there to help with my day. They even walked through the space with me, had artistic suggestions to really make the few decor pieces I brought really shine. At the end of the night they helped us pack everything up so we can get home.
Parking: They have two private lots behind the venue for parking, it accommodates ~60 cars plus street parking.
This is a five star venue providing 5 star service. My husband and I agree that we couldn't have imagined our day being any more perfect, Thank you Georgetown Ballroom.
What a perfect venue! Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, the staff is unbelievably helpful! Planning with Susie was super easy. They were willing to invent a new menu to match our tastes. They always answered our emails within a day. On the day of the wedding their staff made sure that both my husband and I always had what we needed. They did a fantastic job connecting with both the photographer and the DJ to make sure everything happened when we wanted it to. The ballroom really makes planning a wedding as easy as it can be! I could not be happier!
The Georgetown Ballroom was absolutely amazing! Susie and Danielle were amazing throughout my whole wedding planning process, and extremely responsive when we had questions.
It has the coolest ambiance you could ask for, and they will totally work with you to make your wedding feel just right. You won't need many decorations, as there are cool antiques all over the place! The staff who worked at my wedding were all friendly and efficient. The evening was super organized and went off without a hitch. My guests raved about the delicious food and fun decor! Thank you for the best wedding ever! :)
If you want a truly unique venue that's perfect for both the ceremony and reception, Georgetown Ballroom is a hidden gem in the Seattle area! We had our eye set on several locations, but everything kept pointing us back to GTB. Everything from the beautiful brick walls, private bride and groom rooms to the DELICIOUS food including the braised short rib, made us such a happy couple at the end of the night! They can be a little strict on the schedule to get guests out on time, but everything else was perfect. I would highly rate this venue for any wedding or large party event.
When my fiance and I walked into Georgetown Ballroom, we knew pretty immediately that it was our dream venue. The layout is perfect for a larger group and made the event flow super well - ceremony right into dinner right back into dancing. Danielle and Susie were fabulous leading up to the big day - always quick to respond to questions, work with our budget, and provide overall support. The wedding day went off without a hitch and we had the absolute best time. Our guests raved about the venue style and how delicious the food was. We couldn't have asked for a better or more upfront/honest experience. We LOVED Georgetown Ballroom so much!
I loved having my wedding reception at Georgetown Ballroom! It's a beautiful, eclectic, and unique venue. With all the cool vintage signs and lanterns, not much decorating is needed. Be careful when viewing... Not all that you see is included... Much of it costs an additional fee. A little pricey, but everyone had a fabulous time.
i absolutely love this venue. the staff is responsive & friendly, the ambience is incredible and it's just a fun and funky place. the only reason it's not 5 stars is because there's no AC in the building. my wedding day was a HOT one and a lot of the guest were really warm during the ceremony. as soon as they busted out the giant fan for the reception, it was much better.
Georgetown Venue has been my dream wedding venue for years, I was so excited to use it!! It was beautiful, and the wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to the on site coordinators. My only complaint is they nickel & dime you for every service (if you want to use their dumpsters at the end of the night you have to pay $200!). However, all of that was worth it because the venue is BEAUTIFUL and fun and it was exactly what we wanted.
The majority of our budget went to GTB. It was well worth it! They went above and beyond to make our day the easiest, smoothest, most comfortable FUN experience. From setting up and signing contracts to the actual day, the staff was so kind and considerate. They thought of everything, and made sure we were aware of all they needed to make the day a success.
There was an additional fee to stay past a certain time, and they helped us clean up and clear out and even suggested a fun bar a few doors down to finish the night. That was where we actually signed our marriage license!
They cleaned up spills on the dance floor, made sure the bathroom was clean all night, found lost phone chargers -- they just made the day so easy and fun.
I can't say enough good things about Georgetown Ballroom. The space is incredible; it's like two rooms in one. The transition of the ceremony space to a dance floor was seamless. There were plenty of restrooms! There are lofts above each room -- we had a getting-ready place for the boys and the girls. And then we had a resting place for little ones! There's an outdoor patio with romantic lighting... It was perfect.
We chose the ballroom as our venue for its fun, festive decor and ample personality. It was a beautiful location for our ceremony, reception, and photos. The staff the night of our event was very helpful and friendly. We did find it difficult to get a hold of the venue during the planning process, but once we did get someone on the phone they were always willing to let us come in and look at the venue as often as we needed. Our biggest frustration was that the venue is priced higher than most in the Seattle area and all rentals (including chairs and tables, which are stored in a building out back) were an extra charge. We knew this going in and decided it was worth the cost because the venue was so unique and required little to no decoration. Overall we were very happy with our choice.
Georgetown ballroom was amazing. Their venue is truly one of a kind. The only reason I did not give them five stars is by the end I was tired of all the little fees. I would rather just be charged a flat rate and have everything included than feeling like I am being nickle and dimed for every little thing.
We loved this venue from the moment we saw it. It had everything we needed. Two separate rooms for recep. & ceremony(so we didn't have to do a re-set), spacious areas for the bride & groom to get ready in, a courtyard, enough parking for guests, in a great area, fun & eclectic style and great staff!
This was a beautiful venue. I didn't have to do any decorating except for my flowers (centerpieces only) and table cloths. Justice (the event planner) was extremely helpful and eased any and all wedding jitters. The only thing that I wish was different was venues proximity to hotels. The closest hotels were either downtown or by the airport. I would recommend GEorgetown Ballroom as a venue for any event!
The flow of the venue is really great and Justice, the person in charge over there is really responsive and helpful. The people that were helping the day-of were a bit invasive and we had some complaints from guests. Otherwise all was really beautiful. I highly recommend Georgetown Ballroom!
Everyone at the GTB was fantastic to work with. And of course the space is gorgeous, but interesting too.
Gorgeous space for a wedding. We had roughly 75 people at our wedding & reception. Having multiple rooms was great for the flow of the evening. The outdoor area was simply amazing at night. We had NUMEROUS people comment on how beautiful the space was. We chose this location because it required less decoration - the pictures ended up being beautiful!
One note: rehearsal time for the event will be subtracted from your total time in the space. We didn't know that up front so it was an expected $200 charge.
Overall this venue is magnificent. GTB has SO much going for it, especially atmosphere, making it where you do not need to do much, our pictures turned out amazing (La Luz Photography). The pro and con of this place is that you can do everything yourself. You can choose your own caterer, bring in your own alcohol, and this saves a ton of money, however is a lot of work. We had around 200 people and seated them on one side of the venue which made it a bit tight, however worked.
This place was the hidden gem I was looking for! The space is gorgeous, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. This is a venue you must see in person. The website does not do it justice.
