Through Kim's masterful design, vision, and direction, Geranium Lake has become Portland's premiere floral and event company, and we're all sure that her 26th year in business will be another filled with gorgeous flowers and unbelievable beauty.
Our commitment to sustainability and giving back to our communities can be seen through our generous nonprofit program and floral donations.

HUGE thank you to Kim and everybody at Geranium Lake! All of the flowers for the wedding were absolutely beautiful -- the flower arch, bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, corsages -- everything! Our wedding color theme was autumn, and they absolutely nailed what we were looking for. I absolutely recommend them to anybody looking for a florist!
Sarah, Kim, and the entire Geranium Lake florist team is OUTSTANDING! They were the most responsive, hardworking, and creative florists I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Nothing is too big for them, they have SO many rental items and they totally get your vision. They were also the kindest and most fun team. Our flowers were absolutely stunning boho western disco and they knocked it out of the park.
This florist was amazing. They pulled together flowers for our event in just three weeks due to our late planning. Using just my Pinterest board they made everything romantic and lush and emotional and kept it at my budget. They also had a lovely arch that they rented to us and set up and took down which made it so easy on us and our family. They were upbeat and can-do the whole way!! The only disappointment was that the boutonnieres did not hold up for more than 30 minutes which was a bummer for the guys and very distracting as we tried to remedy just before the ceremony. We would choose them again in a heartbeat, just with some better discussion about the guys flowers in advance.
Thank you so much Kim and everyone at Geranium Lake, for the beautiful and elegant florals that you lovingly created for our wedding. Everything turned out better than I expected and your level of service is impeccable.
I'm so happy that our venue recommended you and I will forever cherish the way that our bouquets, centerpieces and other florals brought life and class to our big day!
Talented and experienced florist. Reasonably priced (given their status in Portland) and very communicative throughout the process. I planned without a coordinator, and they were definitely seen as partners in the design process. I changed my mind a few times on florals and design and they were flexible the whole way through. They also had a lot of rentals that we could do through them (fairly priced, too), which made it easier than booking rentals on my own and through another vendor. They met/exceed expectations on some florals (e.g. my bouquet, centerpieces), but other items were underwhelming. Just be clear about what you want and expect, and the rest is easy!
Kim and her team did an amazing job with all of our wedding florals! Our 450+ feet of eucalyptus garlands were perfection, the 11 bouquets & 17 boutonnieres were gorgeous, and the delivery & setup were executed to perfection. Kim was a pleasure to work with and a true professional!
Geranium Lake did a good job--I wasn't blown away however.
Our wedding was in the International Test Garden, so we didn't need any additional flowers aside from a bouquet and boutonnière (not to mention Portland has strict regulations about bringing additional flowers into the garden).
The staff are all kind and creative (especially Larry), and don't just give you an off-the-shelf arrangement. Instead they take the time to sit down and look at various examples, and then work to create a look unique from what they've designed in the past.
A thousand thank you’s to Geranium Lake for the gorgeous flowers on my wedding day! They were absolutely stunning! I was so excited when I saw my bouquet for the first time. It was the most beautiful bouquet I could have asked for. And our head table was so pretty. GL did such a fantastic job executing my vision. Kim Foren of GL was always prompt with emails and ensuring we were always on the same page. I feel 100% comfortable using GL for any of my floral needs in the future. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. I would recommend GL to anyone in need of a great florist! Thank you Geranium Lake!
The two meetings with the vendor went great. First one was with my mom, second with my now husband. We changed our minds a few times, and they were always on top of it. My only criticism would be of the performance the day of. I specifically asked bridal party flowers (groomsmen, bridesmaids, my bouquet) to go to the hotel nearby the venue for pre-ceremony photography. They were there when we arrive...along with the cake flowers and toss bouquet (which were supposed to be at the venue with the table flowers). The cake flowers also looked bedraggled. It took extra time out of a hectic day to have some of our wedding party go back to the hotel to grab the flowers after pictures and put them in the right spot. I don't even know if the photographer took photos of the cake before the ceremony (reception in same location) with the flowers on top. That's my only disappointment. Otherwise, they are great to work with, and really ran with it when me and my husband gave our colors and just do whatever you think will look best. Definitely a surprise from what we first wanted (all roses) but really beautiful.
The owner is charismatic, eager to help, good at putting us at ease through the planning process. There were minor errors in documenting color preferences etc, and types of flowers initially. When viewing our mock-ups we were pleased and only needed to add some willow to the mock-up. We were happy with the two mock-ups we saw (the third was never shown to us). The prices here aren't cheap, but they appeared to be trustworthy and earned our business. All in all- after our last meeting we left confident and trusted all would be what we agreed upon, and they will make it "magical" as promised.
My bridal bouquet was gorgeous- however my toss bouquet was never brought to us. The boutonnieres were ok, and the bridesmaids bouquets were made with the wrong ribbon colors, etc. The ceremony flowers (pew arrangements, as well as two huge several hundred altar arrangements) were filled with lots of greenery (which is something we DID NOT want- nor did we see in any mock-ups).
Reception flowers: table arrangements had greenery in them, again something we did not want nor did we see in mockups. Since the toss bouquet was "forgotten in their fridge", and no one bothered to bring it to us (the flowers were dropped off early in the day), we scrambled to find bridesmaids bouquets to toss. Terrible. The altar arrangements brought to the venue were placed in dark corners of the head table and hardly visible.
All of these things were noticed while looking through wedding photos (on the wedding day there were too many things going on to notice errors in flowers). We agreed to go over our budget because the owner agreed to give us a payment plan, with interest added on if it's not paid by a certain date. So we agreed to spend of 10K on flowers and rentals through her. After the wedding, we received bills with incorrect prices, billed for items never received, the owner ran a credit card for 8k without verbal permission or contacting me prior to running the card- then refused to return funds until her stipulations were met. Every vendor needs to get paid- I agree- however when you send out incorrect bills, with incorrect products listed, and forget to document thousands of dollars ALREADY paid- it becomes obnoxious. If you want a vendor that over promises and under delivers- go with Geranium Lake.
I had two bouquets made with brooches added in and they looked great. We also did a few wrist corsages done and boutonnieres done as well. We did not have a flower heavy wedding but what we did get was perfect and exactly what I wanted that day. The people at Geranium Lake Flowers are helpful and great at keeping in contact when you need them.
Words cannot say how perfectly Kim captured my vision. I was least excited about spending part of my budget on flowers, but it was the flowers that made me speechless more than any other element of our design. Kim was more than our florist, she acted like our event stylist and pulled everything together so we had a gorgeous site!!
Not worth the money. Beautiful flowers but she didnt do what she said she would with some things.
I honestly don;t know what to say about Kim, she made my day the best day ever! The colors I chose were even better with the help of her. She even brought Gerber daisies from Portland on the plane because she wanted the flowers to be perfect! Even my photographer gave Kim most of the credit for my amazing pictures. I cannot tell you just how amazing my flowers truly were1 She took my vision and ran with it only making it even more than I could have dreamed! Thank you again!!!
I really enjoyed the ladies that I worked with there, I only wish they would of wrapped the stems of my flowers a little better but overall they are inexpensive and truly great
A seasoned florist who helped us enhance our simple ideas which looked beautiful and coordinated better than we imagined
They did a wonderful job with all the arrangements and bouquets. The only down part was some of the flowers had quite a bit of pollen that came off easily.
Kim Foren, the owner, is so amazing! She not only did all of our flowers, but she decorated for the ceremony and reception, as well as coordinated for the entire day of the wedding. Her flowers were absolutely gorgeous! I was so impressed by her portfolio when I met her that I told her to make all of the creative decisions for the bouquets and centerpieces. Also, I would not have survived the stress of a wedding without her coordination services. The day of my wedding was the most beautiful, fun, and completely stress-free day of my life!
Geranium Lake did all our wedding flowers, and they were stunning. The centerpieces looked amazing - we got so many compliments. Kim really understood what I wanted and made it happen seamlessly, all the way around.
Kim is a genius with flowers. We had a lengthy discussion about what colors, textures and shapes I really liked and then she ran with it and did a fantastic job. I mean, I was floored when I walked in day of. We got loads of compliments on the lush arrangements mixed with interesting succulents and artichokes. She put lemons all over the place for pops of yellow and had fun with yellow billy balls in arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres. On top of it all, Kim is very reasonable and willing to work with your budget. I would highly recommend talking with her, even if you are out of state. We flew her out to NY and put her up for 2 nights and still stayed within our flower budget!
Kim and her team at Geranium Lake Flowers did an AMAZING job making the flowers into what I pictured in my head (which can be hard to do).
They were able to incorporate Brian and I's prsonality into the flowers.
I will post pictures soon of the leopard on the bridesmaids flowers and the classic green and hot pink tropical feel :)
Geranium Lake Flowers was one of the best choices I made about my wedding! It's been over 2 years and I still receive compliments and comments from friends and family about the work that they did. From the hand-tied bouquets to the gazebo decorations, everything more than surpassed my expectations. From just 2, in-depth meetings, Kim (the owner) was able to put together a stunning "Shakespeare-meets-the-Renaissance-festival-in-a-garden" look (her description, not mine!) I distinctly remember the moment I exited the dressing room for the first time, looking down the hill at the gazebo covered in ribbons and satin, and overflowing with hydrangea. I teared up immediately, and it only got better from there! I loved the look and my parents loved the price, which included 2, hour-long consultations (including a walk-through of their stock room), along with complete set-up and tear-down.
I think my new cousin-in-law said it best when she said, "They were the best flowers I've ever seen at a wedding!"
