I wanted so badly to be happy with Gerard's, but unfortunately they fell short. I do not doubt that they do good work, as most reviews reflect a positive experience, however I would like to voice the experience my husband and I had. We went in ...to the store a few months before the wedding and looked at some swatches of tie colors to go with the suitcoat. I picked a charcoal gray color, the girl helping us wrote everything down so they would know exactly what to order. A few weeks before the wedding, we receive a voicemail asking what color ties we chose- charcoal gray or bubblegum pink. Bubblegum pink would have NEVER been an option for us. It was never even a color we had considered or mentioned in our first consultation. I appreciate them taking the time to call and confirm, however I do not understand how there could have been confusion on this since we had specifically taken time to go in and choose our color and have it written down in our file for reference. I understand mistakes happen, it wasn't a big deal. After that incident, we were told by a staff member one of our groomsmen had not paid a deposit for his suit. My husband reached out to his friend, only to be informed he HAD in fact paid more than the down payment owed on his suit. We went back to the store to make them aware of this, only to be told, "Oh yes, he did pay I see it right here" while 10 minutes before we were being told there was no such payment reflected. This was embarrassing for us to have to reach out to one of our closest friends and have him stress that his payment was never received. The owner assured us she would be taking the utmost care of us and personally look after our orders moving forward from that point. All of the groomsmen and groom had their first fitting a few months before the wedding, the day of their second fitting, there were many issues with things not fitting them correctly. there were baggy pants when we specifically requested slim fit- they didn't have that written down (big surprise) oversized or shrunken shirts/ suitcoats. And to top it all off they gave my father and father in law the complete WRONG COLOR of tuxedo. Gray suit coat, pants, and black tie and vest... really?? That would never look good together! I understand they have a second fitting for a reason, but for things to completely not fit 3 days before the wedding is not okay, and I would expect better from a top rated company. I really wish we would have had a better experience especially with the money everyone had paid, but unfortunately that was not what happened. Sincerely,
