I would highly recommend using Gilbride for your wedding transportation. Kevin went above and beyond for my husband and I. He comes prepared for every situation. For example: as we pulled up to church and my nieces bow ripped off the back of her dress he had a pin ready and she was fixed in no time. He greeted us after church with champagne for the bridal party and came to save me with his umbrella when it began to rain. We had a blast on the trolley and an unforgettable day. We loved working with him.
To say I am disappointed in my experience with Gilbride Limousine, Kevin in particular, would be an understatement. My in-laws graciously paid to have the trolley for our wedding day, and Kevin was wildly disrespectful to both my mother- and father-in-law and to me, the bride.
About a week before our wedding day, Kevin called me to discuss the wedding timeline. I told him our plan, and he immediately went into a tirade about how it wasn't going to work because we planned to do our receiving line and take family photos at the church. He threw out lines such as, "you school teachers are all the same, you think you can run the day, but if people want to go to the bathroom or have a smoke, they're going to do that" and my personal favorite, "I have a lot of other things I could be doing today, but I've wasted the last 30-45 minutes of my time talking to your mother-in-law and now you" (followed by an abrupt 'click' of the phone). It seemed as though since we didn't acquiesce to his request we were not going to receive the respect and kindness that we had received from every other vendor for our wedding day.
Kevin was our driver the day of the wedding. He seemed to be in a better mood and I almost couldn't believe that he was the same person who was so nasty on the phone the week before. I do have to admit, though, that we found him to be quite obtrusive. He refused to let my maid of honor fix my train as we got out of the trolley, sprayed my entire dress and veil with static guard without asking right before I entered the church (which, I totally understand the intention, but I also didn't want to smell of static guard when I walked down the aisle.. not to mention the fact that my father has COPD and has a sensitivity to such things) and refused to let a good family friend, whom we had made arrangements with, fix my train once we were in the church citing the fact that it was "his job."
We left the church by 3:35, receiving line and all. When we got to the reception venue, the bridal party went for photos. We finished our bridal party photos by 4:10, we had planned to go back to the trolley to snap a few more pictures, but Kevin was gone and all of our things were left on the curb even though he was contracted to be with us until 4:30. When my mother-in-law called today, he told her that he asked the groom, and then changed his story to asking the bride, if it were okay for him to leave. (Neither of us spoke to him about his leaving.) He then proceeded to hang up on her.
I had a large wedding party, so when I first spoke with Kevin I was worried about having transportation that would accommodate everyone. The trolley was absolutely perfect and Kevin was great to work with! He gave us suggestions for timing, as we were unfamiliar with how long everything would take, and everything worked out perfectly. The day of the wedding he had everything for me: tissues, mints, water. He even came into the church afterwards to bring me a water. On the trolley, we were able to play music on our iPhone and I loved the touch of allowing us to ride on the back balcony area of the trolley throughout downtown. I would 100% recommend using Gilbride Limo for a wedding!
We weren't even going to GET a limo; because we did things a tad unconventionally. Where we had our venue, they had a beautiful outdoor gazebo area where you could have your ceremony. My fiance then, wife now, has an uncle who is a minister. So we figured, the WORST part of every wedding is going to the church at 1 and then reception at 5 or 6. So we saved everyone the trouble and got married outside the reception area, in the gazebo, at 5 and cocktail hour started at 6, a mere 50 feet away. Well, every limo company we called told us "sorry, we'd still have to charge you the minimum of 5 hours." Just for an hour of pictures prior to and the ride from the hotel to the ceremony/reception!!! They wanted THOUSANDS for such an easy/quick task. Well Mr. Gilbride was a TRUE GENTLEMAN if there ever was one. He only charged us $500.00 for the custom job that we needed. Saved us a TON of money or the shame of not getting a limo at all out of stubborn pride...Lol. I just couldn't justify $1000+ fora ride from hotel to pictures to reception, which would have been like 2.5 hours TOPS. (We had the hotel shuttle to take us back to hotel at end of reception)
Kevin Gilbride, and Craig (the driver) were both fantastic! I highly recommend Gilbride Limo. They were helpful over the phone, very affordable and a pleasure to work with. The day of the wedding, Craig, the driver was not only a great driver, but he was helpful getting me and my dress in and out of the car, he offered us all water and mints, he was patient. He was everything you could ask for in a driver. I highly recommend Gilbride Limo!
we had excellent service. Timely and helpful. The driver helped me into the church and fixed my train before I walked down the aisle it was a hot day and he brought be a water and held a cool cloth to the back of my neck. He went above and beyond and made the say that much better.
I chose to have a trolly instead of a limo so we would have something different for our special day. Everyone loved it and the pictures turned out so cute! The driver was helpful with getting on/off the trolley and will play your cd's if you take them on the trolly with you. He provides a bottle of champagne for everyone along with plastic cups, and a few bottles of water. We took along a small cooler filled with ice and beer for the wedding party. He makes sure you are on time for the church and the reception and knows his way around Scranton! Would use again!
How do I even begin to explain how great the service was? Kevin, the owner and our driver for the day, was beyond incredible. From the moment he showed up at my parents' house until we arrived at the reception he was there every step of the way. When the girls were dropped off at the church, he wrapped tissues for each of them to place around the stems of their bouquets incase they were needed during the ceremony. In the back of the church, Kevin sprayed my veil and dress with static guard. He also made sure the aisle runner was secured under a mat and told each girl when it was their turn to start up the aisle. Upon exiting the church, he had a bottle of water ready for my husband and I prior to the receiving line. After the church, he had champagne ready for each of the attendants. When we stopped for pictures, Kevin carried my bouquet and the back of my dress the entire time so that I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. He was even prepared when one of the bottom layers of my dress snagged to cut the fray away. His service was more than we could ever ask for or expect from a driver. He was completely genuine.
