They were accommodating to last minute requests and dietary restrictions that our guests had. service went quickly and smoothly. We were so ecstatic that we were able to sign a waiver to take over leftover food (it even tasted good the next day for dinner). We are still getting complements from guests 3 weeks later that it was the best food that they have ever had a a wedding.

ther seltzer is fine. Then found out around 10pm (bar closed at 11) that they were saying they were out of high noon & vodka. I had to go up with my new husband since she wouldn’t listen to just me (took time away from our reception) to tell them to open more. Even after that they only opened one more bottle which we went through.

and the team was so nice! A staff member left during our event to go big up something additional for my husband during our dinner service, talk about customer service!!!! And the food was so good, we've got compliments from all of our guests

The tasting session we had several months ahead of the wedding offered us a broad sampling of dishes, with plenty of time for us to decide on our favorites. Angela was easy to communicate with and was always prompt in replying to any questions we sent along. Highly recommended - a great catering choice for your wedding/event!

ntire team was highly responsive, including getting back to me within hours the week of our wedding to see if they could accommodate our guests at an affiliated location as our after-party venue nearly fell through. Our guests raved about the quality of the food, including our pickiest of eaters. If you are on the fence, you will not be disappointed in hiring Gilmore!

They didn’t call back on any of our voicemails, and the number on your order form is just for the office so you don’t get anyone’s personal number for questions (you get your day-of managers number about 2 days before your event). Emailing is not much better as it once took Lori 10 days to respond to an email with multiple follow up messages just 3 weeks before our wedding – email contained questions that I needed answered for my coordinator and the venue. I also had to dispute (unsuccessfully, as I never got someone on the phone) multiple price changes that they tried to tell us were always there or reason why they should’ve been charged from the beginning and there is no document history to track changes made – there was an attempt to charge my card while we were still discussing the final price that they’ve ignored when I questioned them about. All of this is really unfortunate because we got so many compliments on the food and bar service but I cannot recommend Gilmore because of their terrible customer service and the stress it caused leading up to and after our wedding. I’m only grateful that none of our guests had any issues.

We had Caesar salad, pot roast, boursin chicken, roasted carrots, and garlic chive mashed potatoes. All the meat was SO fork tender, the carrots had this amazing taste to them, think that taste you get on the outside of a burned marshmallow, that very specific taste. The carrots had a hint of that with sweet and savory, I truly can’t describe it any other way. The mashed potatoes weren’t like most wedding potatoes, stiff and gross. They were fluffy and warm and truly amazing. Like, I would go back to have a meal by Gilmore Catering. Kim was amazing to work with helping me set up the bar, providing me options for my vegan friends, helping me select appetizers for a good variety (GET. THE. VEGGIE. SPRING ROLLS. Holy crap they were SO GOOD!!!!)

Charlie made sure everything ran smoothly and brought a smile and a good sense of humor. Kim was very accommodating, crafting a menu that fit our requests and preferences. Couldn't have asked for a better caterer!

n our wedding package for our big day in Holland, MI. With her team of truly exceptional caterers and chefs, we had some of the best food of our lives. And thankfully, we got to eat it too! We cannot say enough how amazing the thoughtful food and drink options were. I lost count as to how many people were raving about it all at the end of the night. Us included. If there's ever a doubt in your mind about hiring a caterer like Gilmore, just throw it out the window. Because they're the real deal, and they do it better than anyone else we've ever seen. A big thank-you goes out to Kim and the team at Gilmore for making our day so memorable. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

I found her prompt, brief, and concise responses very refreshing. If I emailed her, I knew I'd get a response at roughly 6am the next day, it was incredible! - The rest of the staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. - They were very flexible and accommodating with their COVID rescheduling policies (we rescheduled from fall 2020 to summer 2021). The things we didn't like: - Guests who ordered steaks were not given steak knives even though we had specifically discussed steak knives being placed at the details meeting. I know this seems like a small detail, but literally everyone I've talked to has commented on how it was weird they didn't get a steak knife. - They tried to change the bar time the day of the wedding. We had to shift the event time due to a noise ordinance that went into effect between us booking the venue and the event. I think this caused some confusion the day of because we had the event ending and the bar closing at the same time (11pm). The event manager told my mom an hour before the wedding and that the bar would need to close at 10:30 since the event ended at 11pm. We had had a few other conversations about the bar leading up to this that were discouraging (we wanted to open the bar before the ceremony but weren't allowed, etc), so them changing the timeline for the bar at the last minute was very upsetting. We ended up paying the DJ to play for a extra 1/2 hour so that the bar could stay open to 11 (which did break the noise ordinance, but we haven't heard that we've been fined for that yet). - They had a few other strange policies in place that we had to jump through. I understand that they have boundaries that they have to have in place and they have rules they have to follow, but they were the only vendor we had that told us "no" to some of our requests/questions, instead of working with us on some of our requests (which we would have happily paid an additional fee for). Gilmore owns a few restaurants in the west Michigan area, and we'll absolutely still be dining with them, and I will still recommend this caterer to friends and family holding events. I think I'll just be warning people to check the fine print on their contract.

. Every person on their team gave us the care and attention needed to make the day perfect. They were even able to have polish sausage available prepared the way that my family prepares it as it is a long standing tradition of ours! Many of my guests have since told me that the food we had was the best they have ever had at a wedding!

Charlie was our day of coordinator and was a consummate professional: always there when you needed him but never in the way. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, food, or experience.

The communication leading up to the wedding was very frustrating, I was taking to three different wedding coordinators and they got my wedding date mixed up and did not respond to my emails towards the end. We did not get our final bill until the morning of the wedding! So, I had make sure someone got the check to them. After the wedding I went back and checked the invoice and noticed they over billed us.
