The food was amazing. Everyone at my wedding raved about it, saying this is the best wedding food they have ever had. The staff were great and very kind as well.

Gilmore was the required caterer at our venue (Baker Events, Holland, MI). The food was delicious and portion sizes were decent. They worked with us for guests that had dietary restrictions. Alcohol packages were very pricey in our opinion but the food prices were comparable to other caterers we looked at.

We have zero complaints about the service and quality of food that was provided by Gilmore Catering. Everyone that we worked with went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. The provided the bridal party with a plate of the passed appetizers at the head table that were missed because they were busy during cocktail hour. They were accommodating to last minute requests and dietary restrictions that our guests had. service went quickly and smoothly. We were so ecstatic that we were able to sign a waiver to take over leftover food (it even tasted good the next day for dinner). We are still getting complements from guests 3 weeks later that it was the best food that they have ever had a a wedding.

Amazing food & drinks! Only reason 4/5 is that we told the MANY times we don’t want to run out of anything. Even specifically said if they ran out of high noon, white claw or any other seltzer is fine. Then found out around 10pm (bar closed at 11) that they were saying they were out of high noon & vodka. I had to go up with my new husband since she wouldn’t listen to just me (took time away from our reception) to tell them to open more. Even after that they only opened one more bottle which we went through.

AMAZING team to work with!!! Cannot recommend Gilmore enough, they made every step of the way so so easy! Our tasting was amazing, the communication and accommodations were amazing and the team was so nice! A staff member left during our event to go big up something additional for my husband during our dinner service, talk about customer service!!!! And the food was so good, we've got compliments from all of our guests

Gilmore Catering did a fantastic job catering our wedding. The food was delicious (we received many compliments on the dinner selections from our guests) and the staff was timely and professional. Appetizers and a coffee station were very easy to add on to our existing plans. The tasting session we had several months ahead of the wedding offered us a broad sampling of dishes, with plenty of time for us to decide on our favorites. Angela was easy to communicate with and was always prompt in replying to any questions we sent along. Highly recommended - a great catering choice for your wedding/event!

We hired Gilmore Catering for our wedding and the food was SO yummy! One of our favorite moments in the wedding process was the food tasting because it was so good. We received so many compliments from guests on both the appetizers and meals. Not only was the food incredible but the team was very organized, helpful and answered any questions we might've had. Our catering and food was AMAZING. Guests told us we had the best wedding food they ever tasted! We were so excited after our tasting and hoped the food was just as good at the wedding - it was! Gilmore was so easy to work with. They had a portal that housed all conversations through email and documents. We could not have asked for a better day and Gilmore made it so perfect.

Gilmore greatly exceeded our expectations in terms of their menu options, attentiveness to our requests/guest dietary restrictions, food quality, and service/communication. Their entire team was highly responsive, including getting back to me within hours the week of our wedding to see if they could accommodate our guests at an affiliated location as our after-party venue nearly fell through. Our guests raved about the quality of the food, including our pickiest of eaters. If you are on the fence, you will not be disappointed in hiring Gilmore!

Gilmore has great food but terrible communication - you will never get someone on the phone – even when you call multiple times in the middle of their office hours as stated in the answering machine message. They didn’t call back on any of our voicemails, and the number on your order form is just for the office so you don’t get anyone’s personal number for questions (you get your day-of managers number about 2 days before your event). Emailing is not much better as it once took Lori 10 days to respond to an email with multiple follow up messages just 3 weeks before our wedding – email contained questions that I needed answered for my coordinator and the venue. I also had to dispute (unsuccessfully, as I never got someone on the phone) multiple price changes that they tried to tell us were always there or reason why they should’ve been charged from the beginning and there is no document history to track changes made – there was an attempt to charge my card while we were still discussing the final price that they’ve ignored when I questioned them about. All of this is really unfortunate because we got so many compliments on the food and bar service but I cannot recommend Gilmore because of their terrible customer service and the stress it caused leading up to and after our wedding. I’m only grateful that none of our guests had any issues.

Gilmore Catering was the easy choice for our wedding's catering, the entire team helped us through all of the planning! Kim, Natalie, & Stephanie were great in helping us to map out our menus and plan the perfect options for food and the bar. All of the food was delicious, and our bartender and servers were fantastic the entire night. We would highly recommend using Gilmore as your wedding caterer!

Gilmore Catering was recommended by our wedding reception venue, and I can see why! Their food was delicious (multiple appetizers, including spring rolls, a fruit board, smoked pork and potato skin bites, and spinach artichoke dip, as well as a Latin American taco station for dinner), and reasonably priced. Several wedding guests mentioned that the staff were very professional and efficient.

The people at Gilmore were awesome from start to finish! Their menu is very well organized The food was exceptional and they handled special requests and food allergies/preferences with such grace and expertise. Highly recommend!

When I saw the pricing I thought “there is no way this is going to be good food at this price”. W R O N G! I may be biased because it was my own wedding, but based on our guests reactions as well, I feel like I can honestly say this is some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We had Caesar salad, pot roast, boursin chicken, roasted carrots, and garlic chive mashed potatoes. All the meat was SO fork tender, the carrots had this amazing taste to them, think that taste you get on the outside of a burned marshmallow, that very specific taste. The carrots had a hint of that with sweet and savory, I truly can’t describe it any other way. The mashed potatoes weren’t like most wedding potatoes, stiff and gross. They were fluffy and warm and truly amazing. Like, I would go back to have a meal by Gilmore Catering. Kim was amazing to work with helping me set up the bar, providing me options for my vegan friends, helping me select appetizers for a good variety (GET. THE. VEGGIE. SPRING ROLLS. Holy crap they were SO GOOD!!!!)

Gilmore Catering went above and beyond with our event. The food was amazing -- we did passed appetizers and plated dinner -- the guests are still talking about how good it was weeks later. Angela was amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process and Charlie was outstanding week/day-of event. Your vendors 100% make or break your event and I can't recommend Gilmore Catering enough!!

We got married at Baker Lofts so Gilmore was our caterer. They are incredible. Kim is super responsive and a no nonsense kinda gal which as a bride I really appreciated because I could trust her to have everything right! I got so many compliments from my guests on how good the food was. We all know sometimes wedding food isn’t the best but I was really pleasantly surprised by Gilmore! Gouda smoked potatoes were my guests fav!

Angela and the Gilmore team made our big day so special - and we are so thankful! Angela answered my every question and was so patient and accommodating with changes, additions, dietary requirements, etc. We received so many compliments on all of the food at the wedding, and the service was even more amazing! The servers were so attentive, and even put our food back in the warmer until we were able to sit and eat as the bride and groom. Everything was delicious, presented beautifully and served with attention and professionalism! Definitely recommend the Gilmore team.

Everyone knows food matters at a wedding. Gilmore Catering was beyond our expectations! Kim and Charlie were hands down the best caterers you'll find in the state of Michigan! For weeks after our wedding guests were telling us how much they enjoyed the food- from the rehearsal brunch to the late night Chicago-style hot dogs, Kim and her team cooked up a storm using lots of local produce! Charlie made sure everything ran smoothly and brought a smile and a good sense of humor. Kim was very accommodating, crafting a menu that fit our requests and preferences. Couldn't have asked for a better caterer!

Gilmore Catering we’re amazing to work with! They were so accommodating with all the Covid changes we went through and helped us feel confident through all of the unknowns. We worked with Angela and Lori and both were wonderful. All of the food was delicious. The service was wonderful, and our guests enjoyed all of it!

Gilmore Catering is more than just a catering company. It's a five star meal set for hundreds. Or in our case, at least 92. Kim at Gilmore was an absolute rockstar in helping plan our wedding package for our big day in Holland, MI. With her team of truly exceptional caterers and chefs, we had some of the best food of our lives. And thankfully, we got to eat it too! We cannot say enough how amazing the thoughtful food and drink options were. I lost count as to how many people were raving about it all at the end of the night. Us included. If there's ever a doubt in your mind about hiring a caterer like Gilmore, just throw it out the window. Because they're the real deal, and they do it better than anyone else we've ever seen. A big thank-you goes out to Kim and the team at Gilmore for making our day so memorable. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Excellent selection. Guests were raving about how delicious dinner was. Also they were able to special order my favorite wine from a local MI winery. Lastly, they accommodated our vegetarian and food allergy guests, which was highly appreciated.

The food was amazing! Charlie was a great manager. He and his team got the food out on time, served guests, refilled waters, cut cake, and had great communication throughout the night. Highly recommend this catering company!

The venue we booked for our wedding uses Gilmore catering exclusively, so we had to use them. Things we liked about Gilmore catering: - the food was amazing! It was a perfect temperature when served, and came out quickly and in a timely manner. People also thought the new york strip we served was a filet, it was that good! - Kim was a pleasure to work with. I found her prompt, brief, and concise responses very refreshing. If I emailed her, I knew I'd get a response at roughly 6am the next day, it was incredible! - The rest of the staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. - They were very flexible and accommodating with their COVID rescheduling policies (we rescheduled from fall 2020 to summer 2021). The things we didn't like: - Guests who ordered steaks were not given steak knives even though we had specifically discussed steak knives being placed at the details meeting. I know this seems like a small detail, but literally everyone I've talked to has commented on how it was weird they didn't get a steak knife. - They tried to change the bar time the day of the wedding. We had to shift the event time due to a noise ordinance that went into effect between us booking the venue and the event. I think this caused some confusion the day of because we had the event ending and the bar closing at the same time (11pm). The event manager told my mom an hour before the wedding and that the bar would need to close at 10:30 since the event ended at 11pm. We had had a few other conversations about the bar leading up to this that were discouraging (we wanted to open the bar before the ceremony but weren't allowed, etc), so them changing the timeline for the bar at the last minute was very upsetting. We ended up paying the DJ to play for a extra 1/2 hour so that the bar could stay open to 11 (which did break the noise ordinance, but we haven't heard that we've been fined for that yet). - They had a few other strange policies in place that we had to jump through. I understand that they have boundaries that they have to have in place and they have rules they have to follow, but they were the only vendor we had that told us "no" to some of our requests/questions, instead of working with us on some of our requests (which we would have happily paid an additional fee for). Gilmore owns a few restaurants in the west Michigan area, and we'll absolutely still be dining with them, and I will still recommend this caterer to friends and family holding events. I think I'll just be warning people to check the fine print on their contract.

Such great food!

Gilmore was so so great! Our guests were RAVING about the food, and working with Kim & Charlie was such a delight. They took all of our wishes and ideas and made them happen deliciously, and were super Covid-conscious and had a lot of ideas on how to make our wedding safer without feeling like a lame conference. Would 100% use them again— and maybe will for our five-year anniversary lol

Gilmore is HANDS DOWN the best in the biz! They have an incredible array of food to choose from to create the menu for your big day. Almost a year later and we're still getting compliments on the food & drinks that were served at our reception! Their team is amazing to work with & will help bring your vision come to life!

We got more amazing reviews from how good the food was at our wedding than anything! The service was great, the food was AMAZING!! The day-of manager went above and beyond to help us at the end of the night. PS: you can take leftovers home. Don't forget containers like we did. :)

Our food was PHENOMENAL. We had great appetizers, the brie and pear canape, and great dinners, pork loin and Amish chicken with green beans and sweet mashed potatoes. Wouldn't have changed a thing!

I got married in Holland, MI at Baker Events. Gilmore catered the whole thing. Everything was so delicious and prepared just how we wanted. They even let us take the leftovers!

We used Gilmore Catering for our wedding at the BOB L3vel and the food was outstanding. We did a tasting before and got to pick several items to try. We ended up going buffet style and had the ceasar salad, grilled asparagus, Mac & cheese, bbq pork and caprese chicken. Our guests were raving about the food, especially the salad, Mac and pork!

Gilmore was so easy to work with and were able to be flexible with our crazy schedule due to my husband being in the army and us not being able to lock in a date until short notice. Every person on their team gave us the care and attention needed to make the day perfect. They were even able to have polish sausage available prepared the way that my family prepares it as it is a long standing tradition of ours! Many of my guests have since told me that the food we had was the best they have ever had at a wedding!

Fantastic Food! Do yourself a favor and get the smoked pork shoulder, it was tender, flavorful and a crowd favorite. They were very accommodating to dietary restrictions of my wife and our guests, they were incredibly happy with their food (Celiacs, Vegans, Vegetarians, and various food allergies). Charlie was our day of coordinator and was a consummate professional: always there when you needed him but never in the way. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, food, or experience.

Our wedding reception was level 3 of the BOB downtown GR. The space is beautiful, and inexpensive to rent, the room first up to 300 people. They are known for their food, so naturally that was wonderful. The communication leading up to the wedding was very frustrating, I was taking to three different wedding coordinators and they got my wedding date mixed up and did not respond to my emails towards the end. We did not get our final bill until the morning of the wedding! So, I had make sure someone got the check to them. After the wedding I went back and checked the invoice and noticed they over billed us.

We had our rehearsal dinner at HOME in the BOB using the Gilmore Collection. The venue was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend!

Gilmore and Kim provided some of the best chicken and salmon we have ever had! Getting married at Windmill Island Gardens, it was very impressive that they cooked onsite and you could tell by how fresh the food was. As the bride and groom we didn't have any appetizers, but we heard they were awesome as well! All of the employees present the night of our wedding were very attentive and made sure everyone was satisfied. By far the best caterer we taste tested with!

We loved working with Gilmore Catering for our wedding reception at L3vel at the BOB. We received so many compliments on the food and were very pleased with the number of options we had to choose from when selecting our menu. They were great!!

Gilmore Catering was fantastic. The food was excellent (try the cheesy bacon grits!) and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend them. The only problem we encountered was 3 pans of food never got put away. I think they probably forgot about them because we found them in the oven, but overall, wonderful!

They made our lives easy from start to finish. We like food-- and the food lived up to our expectations, not just in the free tasting but also at the wedding. We received LOTS of compliments. People devoured the appetizers and dinner. Charlie ran the event and really paid attention to our group, kept us on time, and even helped manage our other venue issues when the venue staff was nowhere to be found. I cannot say enough good things about the catering. Will definitely keep them in mind for future events.

We hired Gilmore to cater our wedding and everything that was offered exceeded expectations. We worked with Charlie and Angela who both did a great job. We continue to get compliments on our wedding food! Not only was the food delicious, but the staff made the entire night go smoothly.

We had approximately 120 people for our wedding and were trying to keep costs low, so we did a "family picnic". Food was all cooked on site and there is a location in Holland nearby our venue where the caterers could quickly travel to in case they forgot something. The caterer, Kim, was conscious of our budget and gave us the choice of purchasing our own disposable plates or buying the plates through Gilmore. There was a ton of leftovers. If you plan on taking them with you, be sure to sign the waiver. Gilmore also did our bar service. Bartender was professional and very helpful.

We chose the Gilmore Collection because they run some of our favorite restaurants in town, and were one of our venues preferred providers, and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent, and was served promptly and professionally by a very courteous staff. Angela at Gilmore was very kind and responsive during the planning process and made everything as easy as possible for us. Gilmore is a great choice.

The food was really good. Honestly, Gilmore was the only caterer that really wowed us at the tasting. We tried Applause and Martha's as well and really didn't care for what we got at the tasting. Gilmore worked with us to provide an appetizer that they typically don't serve, we wanted a Greek Spinach pie and they were able to provide this special request at a really reasonable price. Our plated dinner service took about and hour and a half. but everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I did hear that people did not enjoy the salad we chose and found it difficult to eat in the way that it was presented. ( it was beautiful but difficult to eat). All in all we were really satisfied with the service and everyone said they enjoyed the food.

Gilmore has a reputation for being the best which is why we use them anytime we need a caterer so when it was time to plan my wedding it was a no brainer that Gilmore would be handling our reception. Gilmore was so easy to work with and they bent over backwards to make sure everything was amazing for our wedding. Even when issues with the menu or venue policies arose Gilmore made the necessary adjustments without any additional costs to us. The one thing you will know when you hire Gilmore is that the meal will be great! What blew me out of the water was the high level of customer service that was provided. From the initial planning of the event to the servers at the reception everyone associated with Gilmore made it their personal mission to ensure that my wedding day was perfect. If you are having an event in Grand Rapids and don't hire Gilmore you are crazy!

The food was absolutely wonderful and they were willing to customize the combo-plated meal to fit our wishes and tastes. There were only some minor cons that don't outweigh the pros. The napkins weren't folded how I had requested, there were fewer candles per table than I had wanted (but it looked just as fabulous) and the serving of the food for 165 people went slower than I had thought it would. The first tables that were served were finished eating before the last tables were even served. I got a couple comments that their food wasn't as hot as well.

I didn't go with them because they were a little more than what we wanted to spend.

We used Gilmore to cater our backyard wedding and they did an awesome job. They brought plenty of staff ( we had 2 managers and 3 bar tenders and one staff for every 10 guests). Everyone continues to rave about how good the food was. They are very easy to work with, even when we had last minute menu changes, they accommodated! I recommend them to any bride looking for a caterer

Don't waste any more time-just go with Gilmore. The food was fantastic, but the service was even better. Of all my vendors, they were the most professional, kind, and stress-free.

About a month before my wedding day, I learned that my first caterer, whom I had been struggling to get in contact with for several weeks, had backed out on our contract and would no longer be able to provide services for my ceremony. Feeling clutched and panicked, my wedding planner suggested Gilmore Catering and immediately put me in touch with Kim Lemmen who, without a doubt, not only rescued me, but went well above and beyond my expectations to make my wedding day truly special. From kids to parents to grandparents, I received many compliments on not only the outstanding dishes, but the presentation and service of Gilmore catering as well. For the entire night, I felt looked after by the Gilmore staff as they would check in with me from time to time and as I would see them along the walls, scanning the room for ways to help and assist. Without hesitation, I would recommend Gilmore Catering for any future bride. Many people said it was not only the best meal that they had had in a long time, but hands down the best wedding dishes they had ever tasted. Gilmore will make you feel good and look good--what more could a bride want!?!
