Jackie and her team did an amazing job. Their professionalism makes your wedding day easy. She has great ideas and input but also listens to your needs and makes sure they are met. We had some traffic issues so some guests arrived to dinner late and Jackie and her team handled it with no problems. We got compliments on the food and service!

Gil’s Elegant Catering was part of a list of approved vendors for our venue. We are so glad we chose Gil’s with the help of our wedding planner. No one wants bad food! Jackie and her team were superb! Jackie made great recommendations about our food and drinks and was very accommodating when it came down to dietary options and restrictions. We were delighted that they also provided our bar service. After having our tasting (which was delicious), we decided to have a plated salad and three stations, including their famous avocado display. The food for our cocktail hour and reception was excellent! I can’t tell you how many guests came up to us to compliment both the food and the service. They are top notch!

Jackie- THANK YOU THANK YOU! You made our night so spectacular, all of our guests raved about the food stations we had, and how incredible the staff was! One guest mentioned our cocktail hour was one of the best they had ever been to, and no one ever had to wait in a line (our wedding had over 150 guests). I HIGHLY recommend going with Gil's for any event, (especially weddings!). Jackie took care of everything so seamlessly, and was so extremely helpful. She helped plan our layout and even our wedding timeline. Josh and I (and my dad) cannot thank you enough Jackie.

Jackie with Gil's was amazing to work with, not only did she help us with every step of the way, she gave honest opinions on the menu and really helped guide us to make the best decisions! We had 3 action stations at our wedding and picked the mac n cheese bar, avocado bar, and carving station with salmon and sirloin. I had so many guests come up to me at the wedding and tell me how amazing the food was. Everything was so elegantly prepared and plated. Jackie helped me with the linen selection as well to make it a seamless process. Her staff is phenomenal to say the least, they make great drinks, help the guests, and do not miss a beat. We’re so lucky to have been able to with Gil's!

Phenomenal food, excellent staff and service!!! Jacki and Alberto were both a breath of fresh air to work with, we tried multiple caterer's from the venue's chosen list, and Gil's was be far the best. During our tasting and menu selection, and at the wedding, they made sure everyone had everything they needed. I have had many people tell me the food was the best they ever had at a wedding. They were so professional and made sure that all guest felt comfortable during this pandemic by passing each hors d'oeuvres on an individual plate and handing them out instead of guests reaching onto a trey, I can't imagine how many tiny plates they had to wash that night! Thank you to the Chef, Jacki, Alberto and your entire team for your excellence!

Gil's was one of the options for catering we were given through our venue. They were very responsive throughout the planning process, which made it stress free for us. Lots of good food options!

Jackie and her team at Gil's Catering are wonderful. From the beginning of our experience to the end, she made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. Our tastings were so special and well done- we knew we were in good hands. She was so quick to respond to any questions via email, and the whole process really went smoothly. We did have a slight issue with a side item we'd chosen accidentally going to the wrong wedding, but the one we did receive by accident instead was still loved by our guests, so no one but us knew the difference! I'd use Jackie and her team again and definitely appreciate their level of service and the wonderful food they provided.

Mother always said, good food and good music, what the guests will remember. Thanks to Gil's, my guests will remember how amazing the food at my wedding was. We chose stations: bbq (brisket), pasta (2 different kinds), and a crab and latke one. Everyone loved the variety. It was fun to discuss my guests' favorites the next day.

Gil's was our catering service provider. They made it so easy and cost effective for us to have bartenders, work with our food caterer, linens. They were educated on vegetarian food and avoid cross contamination - we really appreciate them respecting this. They did not hesitate when we asked a question, extremely responsive and helped us find ways to cut costs but not service or enjoyment of our guests. They sent us home with a cake tote which was a very nice touch. Their staff were very kind, smiling, and professional. You will not go wrong in having them as your catering service and I would definitely work with them again.

Gil's was absolutely incredible. We booked them last minute (two weeks before our wedding!!) and felt as if everything was under control in their hands. The quality of the food was great, the service was over the top, and the late night bites were absolutely perfect. They were very professional and responsive. I cannot recommend them enough!

Gil's did a beautiful job providing a delicious meal for my daughter's wedding. It was a beautiful presentation. The staff was professional and right there when you need them. Our wedding planner found them to be so easy to work with and they helped the reception go off seamlessly. I very highly recommend them.

Gils was a great choice for catering our wedding! They were professional, and the food was AMAZING! They went above and beyond to make sure that everything was just right on our wedding day! They are true professionals. All of guests were given food and drinks in a timely fashion and no detail was left undone—10/10 recommend!

Everyone at Gil’s was AMAZING!!! The food was so delicious ( we used them for rehearsal dinner and the wedding) and the customer service cannot be beat! Jackie is so amazing and I cannot rave enough about how much I recommend them. An hour before the ceremony she brought in a beautiful charcuterie board to the brides suite for us. All in all, they were so perfect and I would recommend them- 10 stars if I could!

Gil’s was so wonderful to work with and the food was outstanding. For our tasting meeting, we talked through the menu options and variations. If you have your heart set on something, they can execute it! The actual tasting was so great and I have to say the food tasted the exact same way at the wedding as it did at the tasting. We got tons of compliments on the food and would highly recommend them!

Gil's went above and beyond. The attention to detail and desire to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams did not go unnoticed. We had the Gold Buffet and it was absolutely perfect. We received so many compliments about how delicious everything was after our event. We had a champagne tower and they made sure it was poured beautifully as well as made sure my siblings with food allergies had separate, non cross contaminated plates. They were spectacular. I could not have been happier with Gil's. I wish there were more stars to give. After our grand exit, they had prepared snacks for us in our getaway car. They put so much thought into every aspect of our day. I highly recommend Gil's to any soon-to-be married couples. Truly an extraordinary experience and pleasure working with their team.

Gil's was absolutely AMAZING! We had them cater our wedding at the Dallas Arboretum, and I cannot speak highly enough of them. They made the wedding day easy, and the food was fabulous. Delicious food, great display and great service! Brenda was my contact from the day I first requested information, and she was at our wedding making sure it was flawless. If my glass was empty, she was there filling it up. She even gave us a to-go box at the end of the night with some snacks, our wedding cake, and champagne to enjoy at our hotel afterwards! Everything was spot on and our guests raved about the food (and drinks) saying it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Overall, Gil's was one of the best vendors we picked for our wedding and I would highly recommend them!

Brenda and her team at Gil's are AMAZING! Our wedding reception food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and Brenda was so helpful and involved in the wedding day planning. Gil's was the best and I can't sing their praises enough!

Gil’s very pleasantly surprised us! My husband and I actually never even tried their food when we selected them, but I could not have been more happy with the outcome! Every time I think of a wedding I have been to, the food was either cold or dry, and Gil’s was the opposite of that. All the guests I spoke with afterward about the plates food said it was warm and perfect when it arrived at their tables. I would HIGHLY recommend Gil’s as a caterer for any wedding!

Gil’s was really great working with a hectic schedule when we first booked. They were able to fit us in for a tasting and everything was presented nicely and tasted delicious. While the food all turned out great for our reception, the steak entree wasn’t exactly what we had ordered. We loved it anyway, but again, it wasn’t what we were expecting. We were also meant to have a late-night snack of breakfast tacos, but those were never served for some reason. As it was a complimentary part of the package, it was no-harm-no-foul, but still a little disappointing. Overall, the serving staff was wonderful and friendly, everything we had tasted great, and working with Brenda was awesome!

We hired Gil’s for our daughter and son-in-laws wedding! Jackie and her staff were professional and just go a step beyond to make everything special! The good was really great also!!

Gil's did a wonderful job in every way! From my first phone call with Jackie I felt at ease about all of our catering needs! She already knew my venue (an obscure one) in and out and made great suggestions on layout, logistics and menu. Jackie made a point to accommodate all of our budgetary needs as well. We wanted to eat with our parents separately before entering the reception and we were so pleasantly surprised to see a fully set table in a private room for us to eat at and relax for a second after the ceremony. Truly remarkable food and service!! Look no further.

The food was insanely good! Deborah worked with us on every detail and was so accommodating. We did a seated dinner for 175 and it was like a dream. They had tons of staff who ensured a smooth operation and were so incredibly attentive to us all night. Our guests are still commenting on how good the food was. Pick Gil's!!

Do yourself a favor and CHOOSE GIL'S! They are spectacular from start to finish. Jackie is my hero.... anyone would be lucky to work with her. She even let us do 2 separate tastings (an additional one with the groom's parents) to make sure everything was just right. She was responsible to all my e-mails the menu turned out perfect. Service was wonderful! Our guests were really blown away! We chose stations, and our guests raved about it. They loved being able to try different types of food (we had both Indian and American food) and everything was equally delicious. I have no regrets about using Gil's for our wedding... would definitely choose the again if I had to.

Gil's was one of the vendors on a list that I had to use through my venue, and I definitely wasn't disappointed! We worked majority of the time with Brenda, who put my menu together for me - and it was delicious! We did the Tex Mex menu, and I can't tell you how many compliments I received about how yummy the food was! Gil's was also very responsive to my emails, answered all of my questions, and were extremely nice and professional along the way. I will definitely be recommending Gil's to all future brides!

Jackie, Alberto and the Gil's Team were so amazing to work with. From the responsiveness of emails from the get go, to the personal tasting with Jackie and Alberto, to the grand finale of our wedding, Gil's was absolutely top notch. Their food is phenomenal and very upscale. Our guests are still raving about the passed hors d'oeuvre and the melt in your mouth chicken piccata. Alberto and his team did the best job the day of the wedding. He always made sure my groom and I had what we needed food and drink wise. He was so attentive to our needs throughout the night. Look NO further, because Gil's is the caterer you need to use if you want the best food, drinks and service for your wedding!!

We used Gil's for our wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and it was all so delicious! We received lots of compliments on the food - the fact that it was served promptly and was actually still hot! Brenda was so great to work with, made sure no detail went unnoticed, and was very clear about the whole process! She made the whole planning process a breeze! The night of the wedding, they also had a little to-go box for us with snacks, our cake, and champagne! The team for our wedding was so awesome and we could not be more pleased with our experience!

Gil's was AMAZING. From start to finish, Jackie and her team ensured I had everything I needed and felt comfortable with the options they were giving me. Day of, the Event Manager and his staff ensured that my husband and I had everything we needed. They served us our food, made sure we had seconds, AND even brought us drinks. They checked on us multiple times and allowed us to forget about having to deal with the food and spent more time connecting with friends and family. At the end of the night he even brought us a lunch box of goodies to munch on throughout the night as we left the venue. Definitely the best catering experience I've had and would whole heartedly recommend again, again, and AGAIN!

When I started planning my wedding I knew that one of my TOP priorities was good food and Gil's certainly delivered that! Picking out our menu was difficult only because there were so many fantastic choices. Day of, the food was delicious!! The Mac and Cheese bar was a huge hit with all of the guests and nobody left hungry. The staff was friendly, professional, and courteous. We just wish we had an excuse to get some more of their fantastic tomato pies!!

Gil's catering has been so wonderful to work with. I received so many glowing remarks from my guests on the food at my wedding and how delicious it was. The team was easy and nice to work with all up to the day of my wedding and were so professional and "elegant". I would highly recommend them!

My whole experience with this caterer was extremely disappointing to say the least. We were strung along, never a priority, and snubbed at the last minute. To begin with, it took me roughly a month and a half to even get in contact with them about catering for our wedding. Starting early in January, after several phone calls, two messages, and two emails they only got back to us on February 14th. At this point, my fiancée and I both still really felt like the menu and service they were offering would have been perfect for our wedding, and so we were willing to overlook the issues getting in contact, assuming that it was probably because they were just very busy. We emailed them back promptly and received an email two days later assuring that they would have an estimate to us the next day. Four days later, no estimate; so we inquired politely, asking if there was any information they still needed. They got back to us the same day, they were just late with the estimate. We looked over everything, decided to make a few alterations and replied to them the very next day requesting the changes. They replied back that the changes would bring us too far below a minimum cost requirement for the season (something we never saw on their website and we were never informed of beforehand). We understood, and replied to them the same day that we still wanted their services, and wanted to make a few more changes so we could be within budget requirements. This was on February 22nd. Five days later, no reply. So, we emailed them again, politely asking if there was any more information they needed or anything we could do to help. A week after we emailed them again (now over a week and a half since their last reply), and still nothing. At this point, it's March 6th, we've been trying to figure things out with the caterer since early January, and not having the caterer pinned down is holding up other things we need to start planning . So, we called them, only to be told that another (larger) party had contacted them about the same date after they had already begun discussing our event, AFTER we had already been sent the estimate and AFTER we had asked for the changes to be made so we could be within their minimum cost and we could finalize. They had PURPOSEFULLY put off replying just so they could see how arrangements would pan out with a larger event for the same day. Inevitably, the larger party booked and payed their deposit. I would like to point out that we understand wanting to book a larger party; from a business standpoint it makes sense. HOWEVER, this larger party was given PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT, to the extent that we were cut-off from contact with the caterer, and made the back up plan just in case they couldn't book the better paying event. This would have been different if they had heard from the other party before they began contact with us on February 14th, or even if they had been in contact with them roughly at the same time, but this other party made contact WELL after we had been in arrangements with the caterer. Despite our best efforts, prompt replies and willingness to work with the caterer, it is obvious now that we were never their priority. Any contact we had over the phone seemed hurried and dismissive, and their inability to maintain reliable dialogue, as well as their incredibly rude and discourteous behavior in blowing us off at the last minute without any warning tells me that they don't know how to handle their customers.

We had a very hard time picking out our food for the wedding. So many caterers had confusing menu options or didn't really have what we were looking for. Then we met with Brenda and everything changed. Brenda is amazing and she was there every step of the way. Her menus and packages are super straightforward and there is no pressure at all. She did a great job explaining our options and giving her input. For example, we added salmon (based on Brenda's suggestion) for an extra $2 and it was a hit with all the guests. Gil's even threw in a free late night snack for all our guests for booking so early. Gil's won't disappoint. They go above and beyond, the food was phenomenal (many guests saying it was the best meal they ever had) and their service is top notch. And they are extremely budget friendly. Brenda and her team are the real deal.

Let me start with this: the food was delicious! However, it wasn't good enough to make up for our horribly rude staff. We were excited to get our plates at the wedding, but of course could only have about 3 bites. We were promised a take out bag with our food so we can enjoy it- but that did not happen. I would like to caution others about their staff. Jackie is very kind, but meet the person who is going to be at the venue making sure everything runs smoothly. Whoever was ours was not very kind and was disrespectful to our guests. The bartenders were the worst! For as much as we paid, I was very saddened at how uneducated and unkind they were. Double check and do your research (:

When I first started planning my wddding, I knew that the food had to be top notch and spot on and if you want anything like that, don't wait... hire Gil's catering. I am STILL getting compliments on how AMAZING the food was and "who was your caterer?!" Jackie and her team went above and beyond for my husband and I with 5 star service and even made us a to go bag with cake and champagne. Being in the wedding industry myself, I knew I needed the best and that was Gil's. Thank you again so much for the amazing food!!!!

Gil's Catering is by far the best wedding caterer! Jackie Albers was absolutely amazing to work with. She was very organized and very flexible. She allowed us to make our menu truly ours. The food is out of this world! We did the stations and it was absolutely perfect. Almost every guest told me that our food was some of the best food, not just wedding food, that they had ever had. The service was outstanding! The event manager served me and my husband personally and made sure that we had every dish on our menu. They were great about packing up 3 different flavors of our cake in our to go bag. They also had a cheese and fruit plate ready for the wedding party as we waited for the ceremony to start. Gil's was worth every penny and made our wedding spectacular.

The food for our wedding was AMAZING! We received so many compliments from all our guests about how great the quality was. Gil's provided 3 stations: sliders, mac and cheese and taco stand. The tacos were my favorite but it was all great. They also had a late night snack of milk and cookies which everyone thought was adorable. I worked with Brenda and she was always very helpful! She made sure that they provided all the water and ice since our venue didn't have those items. I think it's hard to feed 200+ people but Gil's did a wonderful job. The one thing I would keep in mind is that we provided our own mixers for the alcohol- that really saved us a good amount of money, but other than that I thought Gil's prices were great.

Brenda, Alberto, and the whole team did an amazing job with our wedding. They were very accommodating to customizing what we wanted and made it happen exactly that way. Everyone has told us over and over how great the food was! Presentation was beautiful, service was great, drinks and food were all great. They did a great job working with us prior to the event and delivered with perfection. Thank you!

AMAZING!!! The team at Gil's Elegant Catering is wonderful. Every guest at our wedding raved about how delicious and fantastic the food was at our wedding. Everyone keeps telling us how awesome the food was. They are a pleasure to work with and can do custom "his and her drinks" and work with you to make sure your wedding is memorable and special. They also were very accommodating and included additional premium brands we wanted to include in our open bar. They also were able to provide alternative options for our vegetarian guests. I highly recommend the team at Gil's Elegant Catering for your event or wedding!

AMAZING experience with this caterer. My wedding was at The Filter Building and this was a pre-approved vendor. The food was delicious (the guests raved about it) and the service even better. I was one of the bride's scammed by Jim Lee Events (who offered incentives for bride's to pre-pay in total so that he could use the money to fund his business). Gil's stepped up and offered me discounts and help trying to come back from that $9,000 loss. I can't say enough great things about this caterer. I'll use them again for an even in the future.

We had a caterer than 10 days before our wedding "went out of business". We had to scramble and find another caterer and had to use them without trying the food. They went above and beyond for us. Gave us a discount because of the drama, created a menu for us that was very similar to what we were expecting and everyone raved about how amazing the food was. Highly recommended. Brenda was our catering manager and she did an amazing job.

Jackie was amazing to work with. We had nothing to deal with on the big day. They always got back to me quickly. All the guest raved about how good the food was.

Gil's catering was very easy to work with and Brenda even had some great ideas we incorporated into the reception. She set up a tasting station for my husbands homebrew and had great ideas for a late night snack and warm drink. The food was delicious and there was a large variety for people with all tastes. We made a great choice and I would definitely recommend them.

We used Gil's to cater our wedding reception. We chose to have action stations. The food was absolutely amazing. We are still getting feedback from our guests that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. Gil's was on time and prepared. They also provided waiters and bartenders to serve our drinks. Everyone was friendly and great to work with. We would choose Gil's for ANY of our catering needs. We highly recommend them!!!

That's what I was told over and over by our guests. It was a real feast! We did three stations: traditional carving station, backyard burger sliders and salad bar. Everyone loved the mashed potato set up at the carving station, and the chicken sliders were a huge hit. The passed canapes were absolutely amazing. My husband and I probably ate more of those than anything. The servers were great. They were bringing drinks and cheese/crackers/grapes to my bridesmaids and I as soon as they arrived. Once the ceremony was over, they rushed in to give us and all of our family wine and drinks. They had plates of food for my husband and I as soon as we sat down at the table. I could not believe how attentive they were. A good portion of that is probably due to Jackie, who we had met several times at that point. She had worked previously at our venue (Old Red), which my florist (Branching Out), and our wedding planner (After Yes). It was like having a real team who knew each other and were extremely comfortable with one another. We had to go back several times for revisions to our order, but it was never any problem. You can definitely get a cheaper caterer, but from the abundance of food at each station (there were root vegetable chips with the sliders, grilled veggies at the carving station, etc.), the late night pass of breakfast tacos with tiny glasses of OJ, and then the little cooler they put in our limo with cake and tiny champagne bottles, Gil's should definitely be something you consider spending a little more on.

Gil’s was very easy to work with, and they responded promptly when I e-mailed or called them. They’re especially great for a wedding at the Dallas Arboretum because they provide the food at the restaurant there and are very familiar with the facilities. Gil’s was able to customize a menu that fit exactly what I had in mind for my wedding day. The food and the service were both great. My only complaint is that I asked for a build-your-own breakfast taco station (and paid extra for it), and they had the tacos pre-prepared. I shoulder part of the blame for this myself because I didn’t emphasize that the build-your-own aspect was important to me, so I’d recommend being very clear with them if you have any specific wishes. However, that was only a small hiccup in an otherwise great experience!

I am over the top pleased with Gil's! I booked them even before I found out they are the exclusive caters for the Dallas Arboretum! Several of my other vendors also had wonderful things to say about them when I mentioned we had a contract with them. Jackie was wonderful and tailored our menu to exactly what we wanted- a wonderful brunch menu! They offer free tastings and will make something for you if they don't have it out at the tasting. I loved that they took care of not only the food, but the place settings and glassware as well. And I honestly couldn't beat their price! I would have paid much more for the quality of food! Several of our guests told me this was the best wedding food they ever had, people were talking about it weeks after our wedding. Jackie and her staff took care of everything on the day of the wedding, and everything was flawless! They also pack a "to-go" cooler for you with food from your wedding, a couple of large slices of wedding cake, fresh fruit, cheeses, and drinks! Perfect for the get away, since I literally ate three bites during the reception! Overall, I would totally hire them again! They are wonderful!!! If I could give them 10 stars, I totally would!

I liked the fat that Gil's invited us to several events prior to the wedding to try out their food in different reception venues. We were very pleased with the food on our wedding day. Everything tasted delicious and our guests were very happy and very full. They even got us wine that was special to my husband and I for our wedding which made me very happy. I would highly recommend them!

Jackie from Gil’s was so great and very easy to work with. The food was delicious and the cocktails (2 signature cocktails) were great! Everyone raved about how delicious the food was and I agree it was; however, my husband and my food were cold when we sat down to eat and a few of our guests said the same thing. In our contract, we were supposed to receive a cooler with 2 entrees and drink(s) to take back to the hotel after the wedding. We received the cooler and the two wine chillers, but did not receive any entrees…only empty plastic to-go containers. I mentioned this to Jackie in our follow-up email after our wedding and never heard back, unfortunately. That being said, I would still recommend Gil’s for anyone wanting delicious food and great service at their wedding. Jackie is great to work with and is very upbeat and she makes you just as excited as she is.

First off, I have to say that the food prepared by Gil's is absolutely DELICIOUS. People raved about everything we had chosen to serve. Jackie (the wedding coordinator at Gil's) was so incredibly helpful and made everything so much easier than other caterers I spoke with. Gil's also helps with all of the rentals (linens, place settings, etc.) which is another plus. We couldn't have been happier with our entire experience with Jackie and Gil's!

Gil's are true professionals and we were in such capable hands it was unbelievable! We worked with Brenda and she was just wonderful. The elote bar was the talk of the wedding.

Gil's Elegant catering is delicious. Our guests have been giving us rave reviews about our wedding food, telling us it was the 'best wedding food.. ever', 'delicious', and 'went back for thirds'. Brenda worked with us at Gil's and she was a complete doll. She gave my mother and I a private tasting, which was exquisite and comforting. She has wonderful recommendations and earned our complete trust. Her recommendation of doing stations was a genius idea, and the milk and cookies towards the end of the reception was a sweet touch. As the bride, we were fed (plates waiting on our table), a fresh glass of champagne was in my hand all evening, and a picnic basket was in our get-a-way car for a late night treat. They think of everything, and deliver quality service and delicious food!
