Laura came recommended with our venue of the LA River Center and Gardens as one of two approved wedding coordinators. We believed we needed to go with one of them. We spoke with Laura on the phone and on zoom, her price seemed reasonable, so we booked her. Her recommendations for vendors were not the best. We went with her vendor Rustic Yards for rentals and he was impossible to get intouch with, but had great products and it worked out at the event. There was a period of about a month and a half between february and end of march where she stopped responding to emails and texts all together. We were worried, but she finally reached out saying she was in the hospital. I asked about there being a backup person to call in case of emergency, who helps her with the business and she said no. After that, communication was better. For my wedding, we DIYed our table decor and had a specific way of arranging everything. I went over the details in person when she picked it up, and I created a 50-page binder that explained every detail for the day of for her to review. My other vendors appreciated the details. It seemed like she didn’t even look over it, because when we showed up to the venue before cocktail hour, everything was a mess. She claimed the wind was going to blow everything away and just put all the menus, name cards, napkins, utensils, candles array on the table and didn’t follow my set up. We asked her to have both of her assistants available to set up, but she refused, saying she could just use one and herself for everything. She also insisted that the catering company be the one who set up the tables and decor and refused to put out the cups or plates. Luckily our caterer worked with us and we paid for THEIR servers to be there an hour earlier to set it up. We had 230 people at the wedding and a lot of tables and decor to set up. Luckily my bridal party went around fixing her decor mistakes. She was unwilling to give instructions or guidance to the vendors on the day of. For example, there were boxes left in the entrance that she refused to move but also didn’t ask catering to move them. When speeches started, she told the bar to stop serving alcohol, which was never discussed. She then blamed the bartenders for not listening, but the bartenders said she was the one who instructed them. As the night went on, she was nowhere to be found. My caterer mentioned her being on her phone in the back for a while. At the end of the night, we gathered most of our personal belongings and decor to take home. After the wedding, I never received a text or email saying congratulations, or thank you for working with me. She was very ungrateful and unprofessional and hiring her is the only regret I have for my wedding day.
We have begun filing a small court case against Laura, who completely breached her contract with us and nearly ruined our wedding day by missing our rehearsal 24 hours before the wedding and ignoring all our calls and texts until that night, with no explanation. She then failed to show up on the actual wedding day. No response, apology, or refund. This is a scam artist, do not engage.
Glamorous Events & Decor made our wedding day a dream. Laura and her staff were remarkable. Laura's recommendations and planning skills made for a flawless event. The decor was beautiful, especially the vintage furniture! I loved it!! --all my guests did too. Thank you for your attention to all the details and making my day a joy!
I can't thank Laura and the staff enough for the service they provided. Our wedding guests could not stop raving how delicious the food was and how beautiful everything looked from the canopy, tables, buffet tables, etc. Laura always responded in a timely professional manner, if not immediately. She always put me at ease, as a bride to be gets nervous at times wanting everything to be perfect. Laura worked hand in hand with the recommended rental company to ensure we had all of the rentals we needed. Thank God, Laura suggested a canopy, as two days before the wedding; it was none stop pouring rain. The canopy saved the grass from getting drenched. Laura and her team were all very professional on the wedding day. They were reliable, prompt, and friendly. Laura is understanding, patient, and flexible to ones needs. If you want to be stress free for your event then hire Laura. Put your full trust in Laura.
Thank you to Laura and her staff for turning my vision into a beautiful event. I will cherish my "Special Day"forever it was everything I ever wanted from the decor, flowers, to cute frames created especially for our guests. It was a pleasure working with you Laura, and your team.
Laura was the day of coordinator for my daughter's wedding. We met w/her a few weeks before to go over all of our plans. She followed up w/all the vendors & made sure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. It was so nice to be able to just enjoy the wedding because we knew Laura was taking care of everything.
