Rachael is a godsend to those lost in the midst of wedding planning. Her expertise and experience in guiding couples made her invaluable through the entire process. Highly personable and responsive, she knows where to offer suggestions (whether it was adding an extra flair or NOT cluttering the venue with extra decor) and also how to calm our nerves. We opted to work with her after we lost our progress on wedding planning due to the pandemic. Over the course of about a year, she helped our wedding planning process go so smoothly, it felt almost too easy at times! Her presence was crucial on the big day, from tracking down stray party members to transporting items throughout the venue. Her sense of humor and industry expertise made the entire process fun rather than stressful. I cannot recommend Rachael enough! THANK YOU RACHAEL!!!

Rachael was amazing! She helped guide us through all things wedding related leading up to our wedding and was the best coordinator the day of. Any problem or issue or question we had, she gave us a solution. She was fun and attentive and so incredibly sweet. I’d recommend her over and over!

My husband and I just got married on May 4th and did a Star Wars themed wedding. Everything was beyond perfect! From the time that we initially signed the contract (last year), til the evening of the wedding, Rachael was attentive, caring, and listened to our vision. She gave solid recommendations and provided us with ideas we hadn't even thought up of.
We even went through a part where one of us lost a job and she was more than willing to adjust the contract to meet our budget.

I don't even know where to begin with how incredible of an addition Rachael was to our planning process and day of execution. We hired Rachael about a month our from our wedding as our Day of Coordinator. From the minute I got off the phone with her after our initial consult, I knew we needed to hire her. Her candor, professionalism, and personality really sold us initially but after our first planning meeting I knew that she was exactly what we needed to execute the day flawlessly as her organization and level of expertise was nothing short of impressive. After every planning meeting we had with her and our other vendors, my husband and I would look at each other and just say thank the universe we hired her, and we couldn't imagine handling the last steps without her. I definitely lean more into a type A bride, and we also DIY-ed a good amount of details for our day, bringing in - no lie - 20 boxes of items that the staff had to lay out. Rachael made sure all of our details and wishes were met and executed even better than I could've imagined. During our rehearsal, she was organized and professional and kept my very outgoing family in order without being rude. The day of, she was patient and on top of everything, going above and beyond with her 911 kit, being a seamstress to both my sister and I (my sister's belt broke and my bustle also snapped), always making sure my husband and I had a drink and some food. She truly was a key component in making our wedding day so stress-free, providing 24/7 feedback on any questions that I had and just making sure we didn't worry about anything. I cannot recommend her enough!! Thank you for making our day so incredible.

But I just wanted to jump on here to say Rachael was an absolute blessing to my husband and I. I absolutely could not have planned my wedding day without her, she was also there for me the morning of up until cocktail hour and she made sure everything went smoothly. If you are thinking of having a planner or day of coordinator, Rachael is amazing!
Rachael was a great month before/day of coordinator - as a crazy type A bride I really needed someone like her to assure me all was okay and offload some last minute responsibilities. I so appreciated her master schedule and confirmations with vendors allowing me to feel a lot less stressed leading up to the wedding. The day of she was amazing and took on additional responsibilities when our bridal attendant was MIA. So thankful to Rachael and can't recommend her enough!

I have to say..I had the most perfect wedding BUT it was NOT because of Rachael. Let me drop the saying of the day right here “where is Rachael?” “Have you seen the wedding planner?”
I hate writing bad reviews but I wasted my money on someone that basically only said my “unplugged ceremony” speech, that I made, to the crowd.
Let me preface, I hired Rachael for month of planner. My venue was Crystal Plaza + my Bridal attendant at CP was Marianne. (Read my review about Crystal Plaza I will go in detail of everything that my bridal attendant was to me that day that Rachael was not)
I've always been anxious/type A so of course I had everything already mapped out and planned to handover to Rachael. I made my day of schedule (which she had problems with and kept tryin to tweak even though it was what my photographer suggested) I made the processional order (which a groomsman overheard that during the rehearsal someone said what’s the order to her and she said idk the bride made it….we had to refer to my document to find the order) I had sent Rachael a Details and Decor PDF of all the decor/signs and how and where I wanted it to be placed + organized. Apparently she didnt go to the reception hall to check if the plating or arrangements were how I wanted. Instead, my mom was down there organizing the favors +setting up the tables. Again, not my mom's responsibility.
I only saw her at the beginning when she came late (and inappropriately dressed for the venue) and at the end of her “time” @9pm when she left. My bridesmaids kept asking me the whole day where was Rachael. They asked her to steam my wedding gown, not only did she not bring a steamer of her own she tried to tell my bridesmaids to do it. My mom asked Rachael herself to steam the front and she did not. They said she was dismissive. She wasnt there for my firstlook pics. If it wasnt for my Bridal attendant from CP who was by my side the whole time holding my dress and dabbing me with a cold towel, I would have been LIVID that my hired weddingplanner wasnt the one doing that. Wheres Rachael? At the ceremony you assume that the wedding planner would fluff and hold your dress and long veil while you walk down the aisle so it it’s long and extravagant, not Rachael. Never assume anything wedding planner related when it comes he. A aunt of mine noticed that Rachael was not in the room during the ceremony!What wedding planner is not keeping an eye out for everything during the ceremony!?? Before the ceremony, my mom asked Rachael where the unity candle was, and when she didn't come back, the husband of my florist ended up helping my mom look for the candle, found the candle and set it up. Rachael never updated my mom that she couldn’t find it. It appeared to my mom that Rachael didn’t even go looking for it.
My cousin told me that she over heard that Rachael was looking for a Diet Coke during the time of when she should have been looking for the candle. In fact when I was asking my cousin about this interaction, another cousin of mine said “oh the Diet Coke and Sandwich lady!” Excuse me? to have people reference you as the diet coke and sandwich lady instead of my wedding planner really says a lot.
The bridesmaids said whenever they tried to look for her for something they ended up doing it themselves. My friends were like “oh i’m so impressed you have two planners” I said “no. the girl by my side the entire night was the bridal attendant NOT my wedding planner. I never saw Rachael.”

t the end of the night, hugged me, and tipped me, saying "You're the best at what you do!" You and I spoke regularly throughout the day, so I honestly do not understand how you could think that I did nothing.
Since there are so many untruths in this review, I can respond to a few:
1. I did not arrive late on the wedding day. I arrived exactly on time, and then spoke with the maitre’d downstairs about schedule, décor setup, and updates for about 15 minutes before heading upstairs to you. I also checked everything off exactly as you wanted it on your decor list. Your mother wanted to adjust a few things, and you had specifically told me that she would do that in your notes, so I didn’t see the problem there. I also stayed a full 40 minutes past your contracted time at the end of the night so as not to interuppt formalities.
2. I helped your bridesmaids and guests with dozens of requests, including dress tape, scissors, safety pins, bobby pins, hairspray, lotion, more water in the suite, etc. I steamed both of your dresses twice and your mother thanked me after I told her it was done, so they were aware that I did this.
3. I have no idea how you could think I wasn’t there at your first look. Both of you know that I organized the groomsmen, helped pick a spot for the groom, handed you your vow books and bouquet, carried your veil and dress, and oversaw all of your pictures outside, giving timing updates to your photo/video team. I was out there with you the entire time except for when your bridesmaids called me back inside to cut a string off of one of their dresses. I even handed you a tissue at one point when you were crying! I'm very surprised you remember none of this.
4. Your mother asked me about the ceremony candle, so I spoke with the maitre'd and also your groom about its location, and we were told that a member of the family had it. I made sure that everything was where it needed to be for your ceremony. I stood inside the room while the maitre’d fluffed your dress, so I could cue your exact timing with the music. I said “congratulations” to you as soon as you exited and made sure you had food and drinks, so you definitely did see that I was there. Everything was flawless, exactly as you wanted it. Then, I seamlessly organized all of your family pictures so you could have time to yourself, since I knew that was important to you.
5. Your bridal attendant was wonderful, and she and I spoke throughout the day to share responsibilities. She was mostly at your side all day because she was not handling all of the dozens of things I was handling: running the rehearsal and ceremony, interfacing with vendors, working with the groomsmen, setting up decor, keeping track of special items, etc. She was a bridal attendant, and I am a wedding coordinator, so while I do serve as a personal assistant, I also have many other jobs to keep everything running smoothly on the wedding day.
This is not even to take into account all of the pre-work I did for you, including on-site walkthroughs, late-night texts, Zoom calls, schedules and detail sheets, checklists, advice, etc.
I understand that my services were not what you expected. Glass Slipper currently has 80 5-star reviews on The Knot, and you are the first 1-star review in over 17 years we’ve been in business. I believe that speaks for itself.
I truly did enjoy working with you both, and I am glad everything went so perfectly on your wedding day.

Rachael was the absolute best! My husband and I hired Rachael to help plan our wedding reception which eventually was postponed due to covid. Rachael was a part of our nearly 3 year journey. She ultimately led us to the perfect location at the Wave resort in Long Branch, NJ. She was never short on suggestions and advice in those early days. Once plans were settled Rachael helped look over contracts, ease worries, and inspired us. Suffice to say, without her our magical day wouldn’t have been half as much. On the day of our reception Rachael was an absolute pro. Setting up table decor, fielding questions and calls, and the point of contact for all our vendors. I was able to sit back and enjoy the afternoon with my friends without worry. In short, I cannot recommend Rachael enough. If I ever throw another big party I know who I am calling!

Rachael is the BEST! My wedding was 9/18/22, I booked her as a day of coordinator. Of note, she was far more than just a "day of" coordinator--from when I first booked her, she readily answered all of my questions for all of the months leading up to the wedding. Additionally, in the month or so before the wedding, she was heavily involved, and participated in all of my final vendor meetings. I tried my best to plan everything and be extremely organized for the wedding process, and it was just amazing to have an extra set of hands to keep everything as organized and well planned as I wanted it to be. She was also a great source of comfort and reassurance the day of the wedding, and kept everything running smoothly so that I didn't have to worry about a thing. I am so thankful for all that Rachael did, and I strongly recommend her for anyone considering a planner or day of coordinator!

Rachael was an excellent partner and coordinator for my wedding. It was a true pleasure to work with her and on the day of the wedding absolutely everything was taken care of and went smoothly. She was available any time I needed her and gave me lots of good advice and recommendations of vendors. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Rachael was a godsend for our wedding. We used her full service planning and she assisted us through our nearly two year engagement with all the logistics and details of our wedding day. Not having been to many weddings, it was invaluable to have someone with so much experience in the industry. She offered so much great advice and was very responsive - I'd often receive very detailed responses sent in the wee hours of evening to random questions I asked her. On the wedding day, everything went right from start to finish (or at least from our perspective it did) and I attribute so much of that to Rachael and her assistant's help - as well as the rest of the vendor team she helped us pick. She made us feel like ours was the only wedding she was working on and truly made the day so special. I've already recommended her to multiple friends. She could be charging double her price in my opinion.

Rachel was a tremendous help in going over our plan to make sure the timing for every aspect of the wedding made sense and that we didn't forget anything. She was a big help in meeting with our club manager to ensure they were on board with the menu and timing of the party. We would totally recommend Glass Slipper to anyone. We worked with Rachel for the month in but she was available for any. questions during the whole planning time.

We are so grateful that we made the decision to hire Rachael Citron from Glass Slipper as our Month Of/Day Of Wedding Coordinator! We can say without a doubt that both our planning process and wedding day would not have been as seamless and wonderful if not for Rachael and her associate Shannon. Rachael not only referred us to countless amazing vendors, but she also guided us when it came to reviewing contracts and making big decisions that would impact our day. When we were stuck in a creative rut or needed ideas to make our wedding unique, she would jump on a call with us to discuss different options. Rachael and Shannon met with us and the venue coordinator the month before the wedding and created a master day of timeline that was literally our lifeline on the wedding day. She reached out to all our vendors the week of in order to ensure everyone was aware of where they needed to be and when so that nothing fell through the cracks. Her coordination is truly what helped us feel confident and secure in knowing our big day would be everything we ever dreamed of and go off without a hitch. Shannon came to our Rehearsal Dinner and conducted our ceremony rehearsal in a restaurant with lots of people and not much room, and made it work without any issues! Shannon was also there with us on the wedding day and she was absolutely incredible. We could not have asked for anything more. She kept us all organized, on track, and made sure everyone was where they needed to be at all times. She kept the mood upbeat and made sure my husband and I were always happy and involved in every decision (this was really important to us with all of the forecast uncertainty we were facing). She worked so well with the venue to ensure everything was set up correctly and in the proper place. She must have carried my bag and items up and down from my room to the ballroom about 500 times and never once complained. She is a total rockstar. We highly recommend Glass Slipper and are so grateful we had the opportunity to work with them!

Rachael is amazing at what she does! We hired her from start to finish. From our planning meetings to our first in person meeting, everything was wonderful! She was on top of everything and helped with reminders and payments to vendors. She was willing to step in and help nudge a vendor that we didn’t hear back from. On the day of, she was calming and there for my whole wedding party and family if needed. We highly recommend her for any wedding support/planning you are looking for!

I wish I were having another wedding so I could hire Rachael again. I'm very organized and tried coordinating my first micro wedding on my own on 9/19/2020 - and after that - I realized I needed to hire someone for our wedding reception on 9/4/2021. I reached out to Rachael and as soon as we spoke, I knew she was perfect. She is extremely detail-orientated and very organized. We also had a lot of vendors and she was able to seamlessly create the schedule (as well as timelines for the vendors and my bridal party so everyone knew exactly where they needed to be at what time). She was so helpful throughout the process as well, including when we were picking out vendors (like the shuttle). I didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day because I knew that Rachael had everything under control. If you don't think you need a coordinator, take it from a fellow bride that (1) you do and (2) you should hire Rachael as your coordinator. I will definitely recommend Rachael to my family and friends.

Rachael is such a great help and there aren’t enough words to say how vital she was for us on our wedding day. I honestly couldn’t have done everything. She is the warmest and kindest person to deal with, my only thing is I have should booked her earlier to help with working with our venue. She was a big help through our transition of wedding dates, we were supposed to be married I. April of 2020, she worked so hard to help us move our vendors and contracts. We had reached out to Rachael early in our wedding process and she was extremely helpful throughout our planning, especially with the unprecedented COVID pandemic. We booked her as our month of coordinator and whenever we had questions about a contract or about a particular vendor, she was more than happy to answer our questions or look over contracts before our final month of coordination began. During our final month of planning, we began to include her on all our correspondence with vendors to keep her in the loop of things. To finalize things, we met with her at our venue along with our venue coordinator and ran through the day/ hashed out any final details - which went very smoothly. The main reason we had booked Rachael after the first call was that because she is very experienced and is responsive via email/ phone, extremely organized, meticulous, and always thinks many steps ahead with plans already in mind. Following the final venue meeting, Rachael had put together a master timeline of the day, and sent it out to all our vendors. When we had our rehearsal, she directed everyone well and provided master timelines to the wedding party. There was a last minute change for the flower dude and ring bearer procession and she handled it with grace and professionalism. We were not worried at all. The morning of the wedding, Rachael was with the girls getting ready and everyone loved how warm and welcoming she was; she was key in removing any nerves or last minute stress. Additionally, I loved her collaboration with the venue bridal attendants and venue coordinator was seamless & she was always there whenever I needed her - bathroom breaks, time to rest the girls feet from heels, snack breaks, etc. Rachael had her handy dandy emergency kit, which was super helpful in fixing any situation - like creating a new boutonnière, putting broken boutonnières back together, band aids for people, or bobby-pins/ hairspray for the girls hairdos. We felt very comfortable knowing that she had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and she was really helpful in corralling/ moving people between the different rooms. We cannot I stress enough how grateful we were to have Rachael! She was an absolute joy to work with and very trustworthy. She allowed us to just enjoy our wedding day and not have to worry about situations that come up. If you want a trustworthy, highly organized, warm, and responsive wedding coordinator, then Rachael is your girl! We will definitely be recommending her to our friends and family.

Rachael was amazing, immediately upon booking Glass Slipper as our day-of coordinator we felt an immense weight lifted off us. This was absolutely carried all the way through our wedding day. With amazing communication and planning skills, our wedding went off without a hitch.

I cannot say enough good things about Rachael! When planning a wedding, especially out of state, it's tough to know the nuances you should consider and it's tough to find good vendors that are local. Rachael was with us every step of the way sending us amazing recommendations, helping us review contracts with vendors, and truly being our advocate throughout the process. She also helped us navigate the unprecedented COVID cancellations/postponements. However, our wedding day was when Rachael really shined. She was calm and made sure every detail of the day was executed beautifully. Our venue had a "day of" coordinator but that was very basic, we really needed Rachael to be looking out for our interests on our wedding day. I thought I didn't need a wedding planner but after meeting Rachael, I couldn't believe how wrong I was. Go with Rachael for your wedding day, you will not be disappointed!

When we first started to plan our daughter’s wedding, we never imagined we would end up holding the event in our backyard! I only interviewed 2 wedding planners and when I spoke with Rachael I just knew she was the right person. she has a wonderful personality and didn't mind my texting and emailing her a lot. I used her middle plan and we met 2 times. the first to come up with a timeline for the 2 year engagement and other items and the 2nd about a month before to give to go over details, bridal party contacts etc.
she also was willing to come to my meeting the weekend of the wedding with the Maitre d at my reception hall and also with the package we took went to the rehearsal at the church the night before the wedding. the day of the wedding we had her and her assistant plus we added extra hours for her due to the long day. she went above and beyond helping everyone to get ready at my house well the girls and my dad and also have the photographer with the shots in the house. both Rachael and her assistant Crystal were very professional and helped make my wedding run smoothly. it took a lot of the pressure off of me and I can't thank them enough!!!
What can I say about Rachael? We’re kindred spirits. I loved working with her. When we were looking for a day of wedding coordinator I wasn’t expecting a sweet surprise. She also loves Halloween and I wanted to incorporate a bit of a gothic feel to our wedding. When I spoke to Rachael about some of my ideas she really put me at ease and helped me pick out some tasteful décor to create that hauntingly beautiful feel that I wanted our family and friends to appreciate. Rachael is the jack-of-all-trades! She took care of everything from making sure that all our vendors were up to date with scheduling, delivery, and any other last minute things were taken care of. She even made it out to our rehearsal dinner to talk to our immediate family and those in the bridal party to make sure things ran smoothly the day of. She truly is my fairy wedding coordinator!

Let me just tell the truth: my wedding was perfect because Rachael made it so! Rachael took care of every single last detail. We worked with Rachael for day-of-coordination, and I am so glad we did. We thought we had everything planned so perfectly, but Rachael just knows things. She knows that schedules are merely conditional promises, she knows that photographers are on a busy mission, and she knows that toddlers need time to get flower-girl ready. Rachael created a glorious, custom schedule and gave hard copies to everyone at the rehearsal dinner; this made all the difference in the world. Even my Dad, who is such a creature of habit, knew exactly where to find his morning coffee, where to go to take the right pictures, and where to find the after-party all because of Rachael's efforts. Rachael helped me into my gown, helped the photos stay on time, and even became a hair stylist when my extensions gave me bad beehive vibes and turned it into a perfect little bun that stayed put as I danced the night away. Rachael was everything we could hope for and more. We weren’t thinking of hiring any type of planner but after thoroughly thinking and imagining how crazy the day-of would be, it only made sense to hire a day-of planner. Her bubbly personality was the perfect fit for our wedding! She was patient, helpful, reliable, and a total problem solver with her awesome tool bag. She was able to quickly fix up exposed bra straps and a fallen tux button within minutes! What we loved the most was that she worked WITH us and was super accommodating and flexible with regards to our timeline and our wants/needs for our special day. She also saved us by recommending a wonderful florist last minute. Our parents and our entire bridal party loved her and gave us glowing feedback on her. She has a knack for keeping people calm and “in the loop” despite all the day-of craziness. She is THE BEST vendor you could have on your wedding list. We would give 10 stars if we could. One word to describe my experience with Rachael- AMAZING!! During the process of planning my wedding, my now husband and I were completely against getting a planner. Aside from the obvious cost of getting one, we figured that we could totally handle it. However, as time neared the date, we both got pretty overwhelmed with all the last minute details. Side note: Having a day-of-coordinator should be MANDATORY lol..and having Rachael to coordinate our day made that even more apparent. We hired Rachael just 1 month before our wedding and she NAILED everything. This was all while being in a completely different state than us. She was patient, gave us super helpful advice, was very punctual with her communication, and didn't waste any time tackling our to-do-list. On the actual day of the wedding -which unfortunately included some rainy weather, not only did she keep us positive spirits, but she helped us to coordinate our back-up plan flawlessly. Furthermore, Rachael's expertise and wedding experience didn't prevent us from having "control" of our day. She was calm, informative, quick-thinking, and was the extra set of hands that every couple should have on their day! I will forever be grateful for that.

Glass Slipper saved our wedding! We were hesitant to book a wedding planner since we already had found and confirmed all of our vendors. I decided I needed to book the day of wedding package because I wanted piece of mind during the ceremony at the church that my venue (only a few blocks away) at the Berkeley Hotel would be set up correctly. We worked with Rachael the owner and Lauren was there on our wedding day. I can't say enough great words about the two of them. Rachael and Lauren put together a timeline going backwards from the end of our wedding to the start and had everything perfectly organized. They made up schedules for the bridal party so they knew where to be and when which was a huge help! They thought of details that I didn't think of as a bride and it truly made a difference. I walked down the aisle on time and everything flowed smoothly from there. In the months leading up to the wedding, Rachael was available for consultation via phone and email if I had questions. She helped me avoid a few crises with vendors and made calls on my behalf. What a lifesaver! If you are thinking you don't need a day of planner, you do! What a great team, I couldn't recommend them enough!
My god am I happy I booked Rachael! We did most of the planning ourselves and were on the fence for a day of planned but finally decided to go for it. We got married at a large estate not normally meant for weddings which meant way more planning and coordination required. Rachael was amazing. She kept me calm when the week of there was slight drama with us potentially not having a tent. She had every detail planned out in a schedule which was shared with all our vendors to keep things moving and on time. She ensured tables were swapped where needed, favors out, name tags in place, drinks in my hand :). She cane to the rehearsal dinner to ensure everyone knew what and where to go and did this all without being overbearing but orderly

Rachel was absolutely amazing to work with! We decided to hire a planner just for the day of the wedding and it was the best decision we ever made. She coordinated with all of our other vendors and was so easy to get in touch with (communication was a huge factor for us, living abroad but getting married at home). We knew we didn't have to worry about the ceremony space being set up the way we wanted... she was on it. (and no worrying about the guys doing their pocket squares wrong :) she made sure everyone looked their best). She also made the ceremony start time and entrances very smooth- again nothing to worry about for us! You don't want to be running around your venue checking on things the day of the wedding- hire Rachel and her team as you can trust them to get everything done for you!

Rachael is an unbelievably amazing wedding coordinator. There are not enough words to fully express how much she helped us throughout the wedding process. The month by month checklist made an impossible task manageable, and made it so wedding planning was not only stress-free but also fun. She answered the endless amount of emails and contacted all our vendors leading up to our wedding.
She's highly regarded in the wedding community and had so many recommendations for different vendors, some of whom gave discounts because they came Rachael recommended!
She helped corral our wedding party during the rehearsal and put out fires on our actual day. Every single vendor showed up on time, the actual ceremony & reception ran on time, and everyone was fed and taken care of.
Can't recommend or praise her enough, everyone commented on how wonderfully helpful she was and all our guests had a great time at our wedding because of her!!!

Rachael and Lauren were fantastic and helped make our day an absolute success!! A friend had used Glass Slipper for her wedding so when I realized that working full time and planning a wedding was driving me insane I reached out to Rachael for day of/month of help. I had already lined up most of my vendors but meeting with the team and running through the details of the day helped me to understand which details were under control and which weren't. Knowing that someone else was confirming and coordinating all of the vendors let me relax and enjoy our wedding. In the end we had no major snafus and our day was flawless... or did Lauren just handle the mishaps before I heard about them? I'll never know and that is exactly why I loved working with Glass Slipper!!
Rachael did a fantastic job helping us plan our wedding weekend! She was very thorough in explaining all the preparations we would need to make to be ready for the big day. She has a great list of vendors to work with and everyone we chose told us without being prompted that they really enjoy working with Rachael at events because she is very thoughtful of their needs and makes sure the day runs smoothly for all the participants. It's a great confidence booster when everyone involved is excited and happy to be working together to make your special day, well EXTRA SPECIAL! I highly recommend using Glass Slipper for your wedding I'm very sure you will not be disappointed.
How can I describe Rachael? She has a self-assured and confident nature without being overbearing. She's trustworthy, prompt, and generous with her time. She's enthusiastic and not afraid of a little DIY (in fact, she encouraged it).
A few of my favorite things about working with Rachael:
- She gave excellent recommendations for DJs and photographers, two areas of the whole wedding planning process that I was dreading because it just seemed so exhausting. She was spot-on with her recommendation. How? She knows her clients and she knows her vendors, and makes recommendations based not just on budget and style but personality match. She can read people well and knows who will just make that "connection". If I was to pay myself for the hours I saved by not painstakingly poring over reviews and research to find them on my own, I'd estimate it was about $1000 right there.
- She went above and beyond to help us find an outdoor venue for our ceremony. Ultimately, we went with an indoor option at our reception spot, but she diligently got to work contacting all of the venues I suggested and helped me identify pros and cons of booking them instead of keeping everything in one place.
- We were interested in doing a few "different" things, and with each weird "can we ___?" question we had, we were met with a "yes" or a "no problem". We wanted a spiral aisle (got it!). We said, "no, we don't want a photo booth- let's do a five senses station!"- Rachael and Shannon (her wonderful assistant) waved their magic wands and it was done! We wanted to have a "guest recessional" OUT of the spiral aisle- went without a hitch!
- She also helped us with pre-wedding festivities. She obtained information about getting a picnic permit for our BBQ celebration the day before and helped us arrange for live entertainment AND find a rental company for tables and chairs.
Our day went smoothly, our guests all had such positive comments, and I can't recommend Rachael and Shannon enough. I wish I could do it all over again!
What can I say? Rachael is phenomenal! We worked with Rachael for over a year planning our Oct 2017 nuptials. Throughout the entire process, Rachael was always available to discuss vendors, decoration ideas, and anything I could possibly bother her with. lol Her ability to take my ideas and help turn them into reality is why I would recommend her to ANYONE looking for a wedding planner. She was calm when I was stressed and present when I had to be elsewhere. On the day of our wedding, I was able to enjoy my day knowing that Rachael and Shannon were out there double and triple checking every detail. Glass Slipper is exceptional in every sense of the word. Rachel and her team did an amazing job! We had a very DIY wedding in June 2017, which required a fair amount of logistics and set up, but that didn't make Rachel flinch an eye! She was extremely organized throughout the process and definitely took some of my concerns/stress away. I would highly recommend Glass Slipper Weddings and Events.
AS the groom, i was all over my wife telling her we didn't need a Wedding Planner and it was a waste of money. I told her this for months before the wedding. Man was I WRONG! I'm not one to admit when i'm wrong but here i was. I wedding went seamlessly, and without any problems what so ever. I know we didn't just "get lucky". We had Rachael. She ran around all day putting out all of our fires so we could enjoy the day. Even though our officiant was very nasty to her she took it in stride and acted very professionally.
Guys, do yourself a favor, don't look at the money (even if you budget is tight, it was worth every penny) get yourself a wedding planner. Get yourself THIS wedding planner.
Rachael was amazing to work with. It was so easy to enjoy the day knowing she was there to handle any problems. I can't remember a single thing that went wrong with her there. From the start she had us on the right path with suggestions and deadlines and was available anytime we needed her. It was a blessing that she confirmed with all the vendors particularly because we had a change that was not reflected in our shuttle itinerary, but Rachael fixed that with no hesitation. On the day of the wedding, she and her team were prompt and running between rooms to make sure both bridal and grooms party stayed on time. Oh and she put the boutonnieres on all the guys who were lost on doing so. I can't express how much we relied on her and how perfect the day was. I highly highly recommend her for any event. She goes above and beyond to make the day perfect!

On the weekend of the wedding, having her Friday and Saturday made all of our lives so much easier! She was so on top of everything and kept everyone sane and organized. Rachael was absolutely FANTASTIC to work with- I could not recommend her enough. We were skeptical about hiring a planner however it was the best decision we made out of all the wedding planning. We had our wedding at Sandy Hook Chapel this past weekend--a park so everything needs to be brought in--AND we were planning it from out of state. Rachael helped us with everything--vendor recommendations, booking, answering all our questions/concerns, creating a budget (including recommendations on where we can save/how), creating schedules (for the day of and shuttles), coordinating everything for the day of/leading up to the day of. Our wedding day was PERFECT (we had such a blast because we had nothing to worry about) and she made that happen. She took the stress out of planning and all the day of details. It's such a big day (and expense) you really deserve to enjoy every moment of it and having a planner like Rachael allows you to do that.
I don't even know where to start on my overall happiness and gratitude with Rachel and glass slipper events. From the moment I first called looking for a wedding planner to the second the last shot of alcohol was taken at the reception I knew I had found the best wedding planner in the business. We did the fairy godmother package so we've had Rachel's assistance since day 1 of planning. Her first task was helping us to find the perfect venue and I know I didn't help to make her job easy because I really had no idea what I actually wanted just that I had dreamed of doing a rooftop ceremony in nyc but was on a budget and we wanted it to be in the fall. Well Rachel came up with a list of venues that were ready to meet with us and she did such a great job at reading us as a couple and seemed to know us better than we knew ourselves because when we didn't get the views I had described to her being at venues in the actual city she was ready with a list of places in jersey city and Hoboken that she felt would have the views we wanted. She was so right We chose Liberty house so we had the skyline as our back drop and access to liberty state park for amazing photographs so just after picking a venue I knew she was 100% the one!!!She also gave us a ton of recommendations for our videographer, event designer/florist, photographer,makeup artist, Dj, limousine and offciant and we ended up using almost every vendor she had recommended which everyone had told us how much they loved working with Rachel and I know why!!!! Every vendor exceeded our expectations they were incredible!!! I was also able to call,text, or email Rachel as often as I needed to which was amazing! She helped problem solve, come up with other ideas when something was out of budget,and just gave such valuable advice on how to do things. Her incredible planning skills and knowledge of the business is the main reason why I can say I had the wedding of my dreams!She also did on site appointments including our tasting which I valued her expert opinion when we created our menu. Every single step of the way she was there! She looked over every vendor contract, negotiated prices, talked to vendors with questions and concerns I had and literally did everything and anything to help get everything done when it should be done and kept us aware of our budget and where to save money. The week of the wedding she was on top of everything. She made a time schedule and contacted every vendor to confirm and helped keep my big surprise of a cigar whiskey bar a secret from my groom. She was great at the rehearsal with giving everyone a time schedule and making sure everyone knew what to do when. Most importantly making sure the only thing the bride and groom had to worry about was looking good and being where we were told and getting married the day of! Her assistant Shannon was incredible at helping to keep everything running smooth and saved the day with sunglasses that matched the bridal party lol. Anyone I know getting married I will be recommending Rachel and her company to and if my husband and I are ever planning another event she will be my first and only call I ever make. She was professional and caring and I feel I truly made a new friend out of this whole process which thanks to her was great! If your planning a wedding or a big event/party you need a Rachel in your life!She will go above and beyond what you'd ever expect from a wedding planner. She helped plan me the wedding of my dreams!
Rachael and Shannon were outstanding. They made us feel comfortable and under control from the first day we met. We are very organized and thorough and weren’t sure we needed a wedding day coordinator. But it was worth every penny. They helped make it a smooth and effortless day. We were able to completely immerse ourselves in the thrill of the night because we didn't have to think about anything except having fun.

I was skeptical when Kathleen told me she hired a coordinator. "Do we really need to spend money on that?" and "we can handle everything" was my stance and I really thought I was right. After the big day, I knew I could not have been more wrong. Rachel and Shannon were absolutely amazing and we never would have been able to pull off our event without them. Rachael was an absolute JOY to work with. Glass Slipper has a variety of packages to choose from. I happened to choose the Fairy Godmother Full Wedding Coordination Package. I was able to contact Rachael at any time for guidance. She helped us every step along the way with every vendor and decision. We had several meetings to go over our vision, budget, theme, etc. We were also given a very detailed guideline and to follow to ensure we were on schedule every step of the way. She also broke down our budget and gave us a suggested amount that we could spend on every category.
On the day of the wedding - Rachael and her lovely assistant, Shannon, were with us all day. They made every moment seamless and stress free. Every detail I asked for was executed perfectly. They even jumped to the rescue when some un-expected guests showed up.
All-in-all ... I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner. They helped give me the wedding of my dreams.

Rachael was simply amazing! Brian and I hired her as a day-of coordinator less than two months until our April wedding. It was late notice but she was eager to work with us and vice versa. Since we had planned and arranged all of the vendors and services, we only needed a day-of coordinator to handle all of the moving parts that day. It was also helpful to have a coordinator since we were planning our New Jersey wedding from Maryland.
Not only was Rachael friendly and accommodating, she was attentive and offered helpful ideas and tips. The week of the wedding, she put together an extremely valuable master schedule which included a timeline for all of the vendor arrivals and bridal party "movements". Rachael and Shannon, her assistant, called all of our vendors to make sure they were all on the same page.

We used Glass Slipper for our November 2014 wedding. I was a very organized bride but I wanted to make sure every single detail of the wedding was perfect and that is where Glass Slipper came in. Rachael was always available to me throughout the whole planning process for advice and vendor recommendations. We had a few unique things happening during our day and she made sure it was all done according to plan. Rachael was our wedding planner for our wedding 9/20/14 and she was amazing! She did so much for us and helped the day run so smoothly. It was nice to have someone to recommend vendors, especially since we were planning from out of town. She was great when someone recommended something I wasn't sure of - for example needing permits for pictures in certain locations. She knew what was necessary and what wasn't, helped make sure all of our details made it to the ceremony and reception site, and handled phone calls, tips, and checking in with vendors on the day of. Her timeline made the planning so easy - I think I'm one of the only people I know that had good things to say about wedding planning when it was over! Our day was so perfect, and Rachael helped it happen!
The title says it all - our wedding was incredibly wonderful and stress free and we know it was because Rachael was there to help coordinate everything. There's so much behind the scenes action that happens during a wedding, something you don't appreciate beforehand as a bride. I was so happy I decided to use a wedding planner and when I interviewed Rachael I knew she was the one that could help make everything happen. I had my wedding at a mansion, not a banquet facility and this requires meticulous detail and coordination - I had a total of 11 vendors! Rachael was there to recommend, manage and coordinate the vendor process while I focused on picking my songs, readings, dress, etc. Rachael was also a valuable resource for any questions I had as a new bride. She is very personable and remains calm, cool and collected at all times. Diane and Walter were my day-of coordinators and they were just as amazing. It was hectic since I was going to have an outside wedding and we had to make a rain call at the last minute. Having Glass Slipper help with the planning and day of coordination allowed me to focus on the important aspects of my wedding, and I did not have to worry about minutia because I knew it was being taken care of. I recommend them to any new bride!
Rachael is so amazing! Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but to plan a destination wedding from 1800 miles away, that's another story. Since I hadn't lived in NJ for over eight years, I needed Rachael's recommendations for vendors, local hotels, etc.
When our flowers were shipped USPS Express - but the Express truck broke down, Rachael tracked down our flowers and still made it to the rehearsal on time. She made sure both the rehearsal and wedding ran smoothly. Her and her assistants also flipped the room for us so we could have the ceremony and reception inside the chapel. Rachael was wonderful!! My fiance and I had been working with another individual who was not meeting our expectations. Rachael was like a breath of fresh air for us. She is very professional and organized, happy to answer all of my endless questions with kindness and genuine caring. Investing in a wedding planner is an additional expense to a wedding budget that can quickly get out of hand, but investing in Rachael and Glass Slipper Weddings is well worth it. Rachael was able to secure us discounts with vendors as well as a refund from a vendor that did not meet the terms of the contract we had with them. I would definitely recommend Glass Slipper!
Planning a wedding is extremely stressful and Glass Slipper Weddings helped make that stress disappear. Rachel was professional, calm, funny and extremely helpful. She answered every question I had and solved every issue that arose. She helped refer vendors, contacted and dealt with everyone involved, allowed me to even vent to her! She handled the rehearsal and day of with ease. I didn't see a sign of stress or worry on her face, and because of her hard work my wedding went perfectly. She even held on to important things we needed for the wedding and made sure they were there. Rachel was amazing and I hope I have another big event so I can use her help again.
Rachael did a wonderful job helping us plan our wedding. She is so nice, personable and knowledgeable, and very professional. We would have been lost without her! I do events for a living and knew off the bat I wanted a day of planner so I wouldn't have to deal with the daily stresses of "what time are the flowers coming" and "where's grandma?".... Rachael was there to take care of it all! She was calm, collected, organized and stepped up when some of the others may have been lacking ;)
She has a wonderful personality and I can't say enough good things about her. I can honestly say my wedding was flawless in my eyes... and those are the ones that count! If you're thinking about a planner and checking out reviews, I promise this one is a great one!
To be honest I was a bit skeptical about hiring a wedding planner, as I wasn't sure that it was worth the money. Both my wife (then fiancee) and I were working a lot of hours, and didn't have the time or knowledge to set everything up ourselves.
Rachael was on top of everything- from day of itineraries for the bridal party to helping my wife adjust her dress for the reception. The recommendations she made for the DJ and photographer were excellent as well.
All in all I'm quite pleased with Glass Slipper's excelent professionalism and organization- My wife and I got married on Sept 8th 2013 and everyone involved had an excellent time.
