Cheryl was the wedding planner for daughter’s wedding in March 2024. She was a pleasure to work with and keeps her cool in any and every situation. Without her guidance in every step of the way it would been impossible. Rohit was a pleasure to work with as well. Thank you Cheryl and Rohit for all your help! Cheryl is incredible at her job. She juggles multiple clients but when we spent time with her it felt like she was only working with us. She has an incredible eye for the details and has access to really good vendors. Our event was huge, but she broke it up into bite sized pieces for us to tackle one thing at a time. My (now) wife and I both work, and I don't think we had the bandwidth to plan our wedding without Cheryl helping us out.

Before we booked Cheryl, she told us her goal was that on the day of the wedding, both us and our parents/families/wedding parties should be fully present, be able to fully enjoy the events, and not worry at all about any planning or logistics. And she delivered! We are forever grateful for their love and effort, as we know there was no way our wedding would have gone so smoothly and been as enjoyable without them. A few ways in which Cheryl really stood out: 1. Cheryl was like our guardian angel. When our plan for groomsmen kurtas didn't work out, she stepped up in a completely unexpected way to make sure we were able to get excellent quality, matching outfits that fit on time. This was not in her scope as a planner and shows how fully invested she is in taking care of her clients! 2. Cheryl is excellent at making a timeline and keeping things moving according to schedule which took so much pressure off of us. For example, she saved the day on our Mehendi night when one of our vendors forgot a key part of our program, but no one ever would have known because she managed everything behind the scenes! Thank you Cheryl for being so on top of it! 3. We could lean on Cheryl due to her immense experience and great judgment. There were many moments when indecision and anxiety set in, but Cheryl was always reassuring and always had a plan which we are so appreciative of.

Working with Cheryl and her team to plan our Indian wedding weekend was the single best decision we made during the planning process! Glitzzy Events came highly recommended when we were researching wedding planners for an Indian/fusion wedding in Austin and it's clear why: Cheryl is extremely experienced and knowledgeable on all things wedding related in Austin, the relationships she has made with local vendors is invaluable, and she has successfully navigated this industry pre- and post-pandemic. The planning process was pretty organized, we met for regular zoom meetings, Cheryl had an overall timeline on when to complete certain tasks (when to book venues/vendors, send the save the dates out etc.) and helped us with vendor contracts. She and her husband, Rohit, came with us to visit venues, answered all of our questions and put us at ease. The Glitzzy Events team was incredible during the wedding weekend itself. They took care of all logistics so we could enjoy the events, spend time with our family/friends and actually EAT during the reception (which is unheard of!). They navigated a huge curveball that the weather brought us like pros (because they are pros) -- the wedding and reception went very smoothly despite the unexpected cold front with rain. We are truly grateful that they handled everything so that we, and our family, could enjoy all of our events without being stressed out!

We just got married in Austin and can’t recommend Glitzzy events highly enough! Since my husband and I live in California, we were so happy Cheryl had shortlisted a fantastic set of Austin vendors that she had personally worked with and trusted — this saved us so much time, research, and gave us priceless reassurance. Cheryl and Rohit of Glitzy Events did an outstanding job at planning, organizing and executing various events at our son's wedding in Austin, TX. Cheryl and the entire Glitzzy Events team were a joy to work with! My husband and I had incredibly unpredictable work and school schedules and Cheryl was available to meet regularly at hours that worked for us (and was flexible if meetings needed to be rescheduled). It's hard to put our wedding experience with Cheryl and Rohit into one paragraph, but it really was the best decision we ever made. We started our planning with the date about 6 months out, but Cheryl was on it from Day 1. She was able to help us book vendors last minute and coordinated with everyone to make sure everything was done on the big day. She met with us once a week to answer all of our questions and was available for any other issues that arose. I think we really saw her abilities about one month before the wedding when we started having some issues with the venue, but she quickly stepped in and made sure the day was seamless. I have heard numerous stories from people on how stressful the month prior to wedding day is and Cheryl definitely helped alleviate a lot of that. We truly didn't see Cheryl and Rohit as just a "vendor" because it felt like they really wanted the wedding to succeed as much as a family would. There are so many small details you think of as trivial but can be so vital to the actual wedding day. Cheryl and Rohit did so much work behind the scenes that we aren't even fully aware of but it shows on the execution of the actual day. Cheryl is hard to book as she has created a niche within the desi wedding community so if you are lucky enough to book her then rest assured that you will have a wonderful experience.

I could not have imagined a better wedding planner for us than Cheryl from Glitzzy Events. She is absolutely the BEST. Through the whole process, she was so patient, flexible, and dedicated so much of her time and effort in setting up a timeline and meeting with us regularly. I needed someone who could help me make all decisions, big and small and Cheryl was the perfect guide due to how confident yet calm she is. Cheryl is good at establishing relationships because of how personable she is and you can feel how much she cares for the outcomes of the events, as well as the experiences of the guests, couple, vendors, and staff. Even though it definitely was not expected of her due to how busy she must have been, she added personal touches to many things such as little decor, having signs ready and set up at events, ensuring we were fed, and other numerous things that could have easily been missed by us during the actual weekend. Cheryl and Rohit with Glitzzy Events are the planners of your dreams. They have different package options that can work with different budgets and needs, their response time is very quick, they take the time to understand your wants, desires, needs, they are never pushy, have excellent vendor recommendations (for people like us who had no idea where to start, that was amazing!), and most importantly, they make it so that you have no stress the day of your wedding! I was very worried looking for a planner as a Queer Indian/White couple who would understand us as a couple and be able to help us make our dreams come true. We couldn't have asked for a a more compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind team!

I first met Cheryl when the bride’s mom, an Austin resident, booked her for our children’s wedding. With all of us scattered across the country, Cheryl kept us on track to ensure that every aspect of the wedding weekend would go off without a hitch. She was in contact with all the vendors to make sure that they would be there on time. She and her husband, Rohit, and their staff were at the venue hours before us and made sure that everything was set up as we had planned, and during the events, she made sure that the timeline was being adhered to. Cheryl was an instrumental component to the success of my son’s wedding in Austin in Oct. 2022. My husband still refers to that weekend, and the perfection of everything going off without a hitch, as the “best weekend of my life”.

Cheryl helped coordinate my daughters wedding. She is an absolute delight to work with. From helping you find the right vendors, helping with negotiating prices to executing everything cheryl and Rohit are there for you. All my guests were amazed at how beautiful everything looked and how smoothly all the events flowed. Cheryl also did the Haldi decor and it was absolutely magical. It was supposed to be outdoors but got moved inside due to bad weather. She made the necessary changes so everything flowed smooth and also looked so magical. When our priest gave us trouble in the last week before wedding she helped us find someone right away . Rohit did the coordination for catering support and he is like a big brother who handles everything so cheerfully. Overall thanks to Rohit and Cheryl my daughter had a memorable wedding.

Cheryl and Rohit are an amazing team! We first met Cheryl 8 years back when she planned my older sisters wedding in Austin and was instrumental in making it such a success. My family is from California and always would say that when it was time for me to get married that I should get married in Austin as well since Cheryl and her team made the whole process so seamless. Fast forward a couple years and my husband and I were living in New York and starting to plan our wedding during the height of the pandemic and did not know if were going to be able to have the big Indian wedding I had dreamed of due to all the uncertainties. When my parents told me and my California fiance that we had to have a wedding in Austin, TX (where they live), we knew right away that Cheryl would be the one to help us. It was the first wedding in my family, so we had no idea what we were doing. And on top of that, I wanted to do everything different from the traditional Pakistani weddings in the US. That means absolutely no hotel ballroom for any event! I wanted a beautiful garden/outdoorsy wedding with the best Desi food caterer in all of Texas. But what I didn't realize was how much extra work that entails, especially after COVID when the whole world was getting married at the same time. We needed a separate vendor for every single little thing possible - plates, fans, coolers, buffet tables, chairs, tents, etc etc. It was insane how many vendors were required to produce two 270 person events. Cheryl took care of EVERYTHING. She and her team handled every single vendor, and they knew exactly who to call and who to trust. Imagine dealing with all of these vendors during a time when every single one of them was understaffed, overbooked, and facing supply chain issues. Cheryl made sure every single vendor was on the same page. Thanks to her and her team, every single vendor delivered on each promise, and I know that was no easy task that just anyone could do, especially during these conditions. Here's an example - just the weekend before my wedding, two guests had fainted at the same outdoors venue I had booked. I was so worried the same would happen to my guests. Cheryl booked us evaporative coolers within just a couple of days before the wedding. I was really at ease knowing that no matter what conditions God threw at us that day, Cheryl would take care of us. The only disappointment I had during my wedding was with how tardy my guests were, which obviously was nothing her team could control! I consider Cheryl to be an angel of mine. Her experience in this space is unparalleled and you cannot go wrong with her. She will make sure every single wedding dream of yours is met!

We are so so glad we went with Cheryl & Rohit from Glitzzy events for our fusion Lutheran/South Indian wedding. Our wedding weekend was absolutely PERFECT thanks to them. Everyone knows wedding planning is super stressful, but they made it so easy and fun! They intentionally took the time to understand us as a couple and our families, so they could anticipate our needs before jumping into planning. They were calm and collected when interacting with us, even though there was a lot going on behind the scenes of each event. They were extraordinarily detail oriented, and helped us keep track of everything. They have already built a vast network of vendors specifying in South Asian fusion weddings, which was so important since I'm a first generation Indian in the U.S. and don't have immediate family around to help. They were so prompt in communicating with us, especially when it got closer to the date of the wedding, and followed up with every single vendor to coordinate and make sure our day went off perfectly. During COVID, costs started to sky rocket throughout the wedding industry, and Cheryl and Rohit were transparent with us about this from the beginning. As soon as they found out that costs were increasing, they let us know and helped us revise the budget. When we realized we couldn’t go over budget in certain areas to accommodate areas where we would have to go over budget (like food), they spent time trying to find creative solutions to help us stay within our budget while ensuring that our weekend was beautiful. Cheryl designed and executed the decor for our Sangeet, and it’s an understatement to say that it was a smash hit! Our guests have been RAVING about her Sangeet decorations for months after the event. During our Sangeet and on our wedding day, Cheryl & Rohit made sure we were fed, happy and stress free, and that everything went smoothly on a set timeline. They are incredible event planners, and have organized and decorated other events for us like my mother’s 55th birthday and our house warming (graha pravesam) ceremony. We 100% recommend them to anyone that we know, they are the BEST wedding investment that we made! Truly, our wedding would never have happened without them. Glittzy team planned my Indian wedding in Austin. Cheryl and Rohit are a dream team..the level of respect Cheryl commands amongst the wedding vendors is truly amazing. Cheryl and Rohit Fernandes of Glitzzy Events provided the event management services for our son’s wedding in Austin, TX. They assisted in identifying and selecting all the necessary vendors - floral arrangements, photographer/videographer, caterers, DJ, special events items, etc. Our son's wedding was originally planned to take place in 2020 but due to COVID constraints the event had to be moved to the latter part of 2021. We had heard from others that moving the wedding back a year would be difficult, with additional 'rescheduling' costs etc. associated with the move. However, Cheryl worked with her partners and vendors to make the change easy for us, and with no additional costs or fees. Cheryl is extremely knowledgeable about all the ins and out of wedding planning. She has great working relationships with vendors and is wonderful at communicating and coordinating with them. We must say that the Glitzzy Events team (Cheryl) really delivered beyond expectations - the coordination and scheduling was seamless and excellent on the day of the event - especially with our complex and multifaceted Indian wedding. She was present with a constant smile and calm demeanor which helped us enjoy the wedding knowing she would handle anything. We highly recommend Glitzzy Events/Cheryl for any event coordination.

Cheryl is amazing! We have so many great things to say. We met Cheryl and booked Glitzzy events as our first vendor shortly after finding a venue in March of 2019, for our Indian wedding that was initially planned for Spring 2020 but ultimately happened in Fall 2021. Cheryl was incredibly helpful to our planning process by helping us stay organized with spreadsheets, stay on task, provide vendor recommendations, and beyond that, her connectedness and knowledge of the Indian wedding industry in Austin. She knows the ins and outs extremely well, knows hows to get things done, and is an excellent communicator. Even during our wedding week if a problem came up she knew who to contact to fix it. We were planning our wedding from out of state and as busy resident physicians, so we appreciated that she coordinated meetings during limited times when we could be back home and/or over zoom. She was always available for and patient with our questions and helped us and my parents organize the large details and every small detail to pull off the dream Indian wedding we really wanted including three days of events. Another plus is her business also has decor to choose from, which we used for my mehndi night! She is super sweet and genuinely caring. We also got to know her husband, Rohit, who is also wonderful and owns Sparkle Catering, which we used for our wedding day. She communicated between vendors, facilitated and came with us to meetings throughout the entire process like walkthroughs, tastings, and decor. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything stayed on time and went as planned, and took care of us too like making sure we ate food! We certainly could not have pulled it off without her. Another thing is that Cheryl can withstand any feat when it comes to weddings. About 4 weeks prior to our initial wedding date of April 2020, at the start of the pandemic, we had to do the unthinkable and reschedule our wedding which was a very difficult and painful process, and Cheryl helped us with everything and made it easier by contacting vendors for us. We ultimately rescheduled a second time as well, which again Cheryl helped us with. This extended period of time was challenging but Cheryl helped refresh the planning and keep us on track for what to do on monthly and weekly basis! So, all of this to say - Cheryl is wonderful, kind, knowledgable, will always go the extra mile to help you, feels like she is part of your family, and we couldn't have done it without her. We 100% recommend her for your wedding planning needs!

It was an absolute delight to work with Cheryl and her team at Glitzzy Events for our wedding!! From the beginning to the end, through the pandemic and reschedules, she was our guiding light and support line throughout all the uncertainty. The 5 star reviews don't do Cheryl justice. Our wedding was planned for May of 2020. Due to Covid, we scheduled it to May of 2021. Since the numbers werent going down we ended up going with Dec 2021. All three of those times, Cheryl was there to help. She was the one who coordinated all the reschedules with grace. It is so hard to contact a million vendors to reschedule, thank god Cheryl was there to to that for us. She is extremely organized. She know how to run a wedding! We met every other week for 6 months and once a week for a month leading up to the wedding. If there was any conflicts, she was flexible to move it to accommodate our schedule. We would throw her random things that we wanted in our wedding and she always found a way to make it happen. The actual wedding was perfection. There was no glitch and I did not stress at all. Cheryl instructed all vendors to their correct place and assisted with tear down at the wedding. All me and my family had to do was have a good time. We are so lucky to have had Cheryl there to share this special event with us. She has done my cousins wedding as well so she is now a fixture in our family. I want to now create more events so that Cheryl can plan them!

Cheryl and her team were instrumental in making our dream wedding come true. We had a hybrid wedding (Friday evening Indian ceremony and Saturday evening American ceremony) and there is no way we could have done it all without her. Every step of the way she was organized and a complete joy to work with. From contacting vendors and negotiating with them on our behalf to helping us with tastings to making sure every detail was perfect on both wedding days (and keeping us on track and organized all along the way). On the actual day of the wedding she kept things running smoothly and again made sure every detail was perfect and that our vision had come to life. But the most important part is that she is invested in all of her couples and really becomes family. We are still missing our weekly calls :)

When we started planning our daughter’s wedding in October 2019, the first person that came to my mind was Cheryl Fernandes! She is one of the most sought after Indian wedding planners in Austin area. The wedding was scheduled for November 2020. It was going to be a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony and the food for all events had to be completely Vegan. Cheryl was happy and excited to help us with these unique requirements. The wedding planning was going well as per Cheryl’s guidance and then the pandemic started! It put a screeching halt on the wedding preparations. Everything became so uncertain, so unpredictable. Cheryl continued to support us in all our discussions. She cheered us up when we were all feeling very stressed. Finally, we (bride, groom and parents) took a collective decision to postpone the wedding till November 2021. As soon as we reached the decision, Cheryl immediately told us that she was going to drop off the call as she wanted to start contacting all our vendors to get them rescheduled and draw new contracts with them for the new wedding date! She sprang into action and within the next few days worked things out with our wedding venue and got us all the same vendors for the new rescheduled wedding date. Cheryl suggested us some of the best vendors, including photographer, videographer, hair & makeup, mandap, henna artist, saree draping expert, DJ and caterers!! There were several challenges due to the limitations caused by the pandemic. Cheryl gracefully and gently navigated us through all the hurdles. Whether it was shopping for all Indian wedding outfits in the US, or online shopping for welcome bags, wedding favors, decorations, jasmine strings, flowers, Cheryl was our guiding light! Our unique requirement of having vegan food at all the wedding events was wonderfully handled by her. She suggested some of the best caterers who made fabulous Maharashtrian, Bombay Chaat, TexMex, Italian food, desserts and gorgeous wedding cakes (bride and groom’s cakes)…..all completely VEGAN!! The multiple food tastings were totally worth it! The regular scheduled zoom calls with Cheryl helped us all. She kept us on track and things were done in a timely manner. Cheryl was always available for us no matter how small or how big our question was for her. If she did not have an answer for us at that time, she would always do her research and get back to us. Cheryl is absolutely passionate about her work and takes the load off of the parents shoulders. We experienced this throughout the process of two years (in our case due to rescheduling). In the last couple weeks before the wedding, she helped us deal with the last minute challenges caused by the local weather, delayed shipments, last minute surprises, etc. We were completely at ease because we had Cheryl on our team! Her attention to detail is outstanding! I cannot say enough of the value Glitzzy Events brought to our daughter’s fairytale wedding! It was absolutely a dream wedding that our daughter always wanted, full of beauty, grace and warmth. It was a heartwarming experience to see her dream turn into reality. Cheryl and Rohit are absolute gems, incredible individuals with a very calm, pleasant and cheerful demeanor. They personally took care of us (bride, groom and parents) throughout the entire wedding weekend, just like a sister or brother would do. More than wedding planners, they became part of our family. Where do I even start. We booked Cheryl as our full service wedding planner back in August of 2019 and we finally had our dream wedding November of 2021. Cheryl was honestly the best wedding planner we could have ever imagined. She knows the Austin market so well and honestly makes wedding planning such a breeze. Due to Covid and some personal issues we had a few things for our wedding that either fell through or didn't go as plan but Cheryl went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we wanted. When we had to reschedule for Covid our original wedding venue was not available anymore and Cheryl was able to find us a new venue that we ended up LOVING. If you are getting married in the Austin area we highly highly recommend hiring Cheryl! I promise you it will be the best thing decision you make during your entire wedding planning process. Cheryl and her team expertly managed our wedding over a two+ year process including multiple COVID postponements which required significant coordination between guests, vendors, venue, and of course our family. The day of the wedding could not have possibly been more smooth and well executed. When we originally planned to use Glitzzy Events for our wedding planning, our wedding was scheduled for November of 2020. The pandemic had yet to hit, and all seemed smooth. Well, of course, fast forward about six months, and we are working on a reschedule with multiple vendors with no safe date in sight. Throughout all of this, Cheryl was patient, motivated, and, above all else, empathetic. She handled the entire situation with a grace that I couldn’t have even imagined. When you pick a planner for your event, I’m sure you are looking for someone who doesn’t panic at the sight of a problem, and instead, is always looking for solutions. Well, I can tell you that the planning of this wedding these last couple of years threw every problem her way, and she was constantly calm and working out contingencies. I truly never saw her fazed, and there is no one better, calmer, better at their job, or kinder that you would want planning your event. Another thing Cheryl excels at is relationships and managing opinions. Every single wedding is bound to have many opinions tossed about, and that can be quite difficult to sort through! In some ways, it is the trickiest part of putting on an event like this - trying to make sure everyone involved is happy with the end result. Well, Cheryl is a master at taking everyone’s opinions into account and coming up with something that works for everyone. She did this several times during our wedding planning process, and she was a complete lifesaver that way. In the end, the event she planned had something for everyone involved, even including little surprises that showed just how carefully she had been listening and really understanding. That is Cheryl’s true strength - taking the visions and ideas of two partners and their families and really taking the time, energy, and what I can only guess is a natural gift to bring those dreams to reality. When I saw the end result, I was nearly brought to tears not just because it was beautiful and meaningful, but because it was exactly what I had imagined and more, and because it was a result of so much creativity and love from someone who is so good at what they do. If you are feeling overwhelmed with planning your event and you have no idea where to start, if you are sorting through planners and can’t make up your mind, if you are struggling in any way with your event, please read this review and know that Glitzzy Events saved the day for my family and myself during a really difficult time with the pandemic, and they can do the same for you! There is no better decision we could have made! For some specific information, Cheryl planned a fusion wedding for us with Sangeet, Chinese ceremony, Indian ceremony (a task which included conducting a baraat on 6th street, I’m sure no easy feat, though she made it look easy), and a western style reception, so truly there is nothing she cannot do! Cheryl, her husband, and her team will always have a place in our heart, having worked on both my sister and my wedding, and we only hope to have more events in the future just to work with her again!

Cheryl was much much more than a wedding coordinator, she was our lifeline!! Our wedding was originally supposed to occur in June 2020 but for obvious reasons that didn’t happen. Cheryl was there with us throughout the whole stressful situation, providing support and helping us navigate through the whole process. We ended up delaying the wedding a year later and had it in June 2021. It was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, truly our DREAM wedding due to the ton of work Cheryl did. She was very much our fairy godmother and we can’t imagine how more stressful and difficult it would have been had we not partnered with her. Cheryl provided us with her undivided attention and support from the day you initially contact her to the day we said “I do”. No matter how busy she is with other clients she always seems to find a way to make you feel like you are her only one (I swear she doesn’t sleep!!). Cheryl, Rohit and the rest of the glitzzy event team were such a blessing to Ravi and I as we started planning our big fat indian wedding. From the beginning Cheryl was so attentive, easy to talk to and sooo organized! She scheduled out meetings once a month and than weekly as we came close to our wedding date. This made it so stress free and easy as me and Ravi both worked full time jobs. I can honestly say i felt very little stress throughout this whole process despite planning a wedding in a middle of a pandemic. On the days of the events, Cheryl and her team worked through early mornings and late nights to make sure our families and us didn’t have to worry about anything. And we didnt! We genuinely believe we have had the wedding of our dreams and could not have happened without this team. We cant thank her enough. We had a great experience with Cheryl and Rohit! We would like to thank them for the wonderful event they organized for us. Everyone really loved the decor and setup over there. Due to the rain and cold weather, they had to move everything from our originally planned outdoor venue into the house but it still turned out to be a great event and has left a beautiful memory in our hearts. Everything from the initial planning to the final event was a smooth and seamless journey. All the vendors suggested did a fantastic job and everything happened in the timeline decided. I can’t say enough about Cheryl and Rohit. I remember the first time I spoke with Cheryl on the phone and we had an instant connection!!! I knew immediately she would be the one to help me plan the most important day of my life. I remember telling her my vision and she knew immediately which venue, photographer and videographer I would like. Of course I did my homework and looked into every other option to make sure I was making the right decision. Ultimately, Cheryl was right! I chose all of her vendors and venue selection and I couldn’t be happier! She has a way of knowing what you are looking for and makes sure to only pick the best options. Cheryl helped me and wife plan an amazing wedding! We had a fusion Indian/American wedding and Cheryl knew about both cultures and wedding styles very well and did a great job infusing the two. Since I had been living in another state during the planning, having Cheryl was very helpful and took a lot of stress off us! She helped schedule all of our events in the planning phase, making sure we did certain things at the appropriate time, had a lot of great vendors to choose from Cheryl schdheuled weekly meetings for me and my wife and the parents to talk through things like budget items, certain things we wanted, and feedback on our ideas. Cheryl helped a get an amazing venue for the wedding and her relationships with the venue really helped on the pricing, plus her relationships with the other main vendors, like the Indian food, the decor, cake, music, and the hair/makeup. The week of she was solely focused on our wedding, taking our calls when we needed and very responsive through the entire process. She made the wedding day very easy and stress-free as possible for us. Cheryl and Rohit made sure we stayed on schedule for both wedding day events, made sure everything was set up perfectly, and made sure to plan for if certain things didn't go accordingly. Cheryl is very detailed in all that she does and made sure it was exactly what we wanted and envisioned for our wedding. Not only did she help us envision the wedding we wanted but helped is suggesting great ideas for our wedding in areas we did not know what we wanted. Overall this wedding would not have had gone as smoothly without Cheryl. We are grateful for her and Rohit for making this special day so memorable, stress-free, and amazing! Any time we were feeling uneasy about anything in the process, she was always there in our court- making sure that our needs were met by our vendors. During the contract process she asked for so many different concessions on our behalf from our venues and vendors that we didn’t even think about. These concessions truly elevated our wedding- making it incredibly memorable for us, and all of our guests. She saved us thousands of dollars with her savvy negotiating skills and experience- well over what we paid to have her on our team. So many of our guests commented that our wedding was the most well-organized wedding they had ever been to. This is all thanks to Cheryl. With that said, this review would not be complete without mentioning Cheryl’s husband, Rohit. One of the biggest reasons that Cheryl is able to throw herself so passionately into her weddings is because she has the best support system in Rohit. Rohit was there by Cheryl’s side during our entire wedding- complementing her skills with his own, no task too big or too small. One sweet gesture that has remained in our minds is the memory of how Rohit put together a bag full of packed food for us at the end of every single one of our events, giving us a chance to try any items we might have missed in the flurry. You hear so many couples say that they never got to try the food they spent so much time picking out for their wedding, but Cheryl and Rohit would never let that happen. They are thoughtful and caring, always making sure their couples are taken care of. We will forever be grateful to both of them for everything they did for us in the months leading up to our wedding. Cheryl is literally every bride and groom’s dream come true. We got married on February 29th, 2020, with just 7 months of planning prior, and its unimaginable to think about how we could've made our dream wedding a reality without Cheryl by our sides. Planning a wedding for 500 people is no easy feat, let alone a wedding that spans over the course of 3 days. Cheryl worked with us from the very beginning- reaching out to each and every vendor we came up with. Truly, this woman has more patience than anyone we’ve ever met- which is no exaggeration. Most wedding planners we’ve seen our family or friends hire get frustrated when you come close to a decision and then renege- asking to reach out to just a few more vendors, but not Cheryl. She will do everything in her power to make sure that you do not feel pressured and are happy and comfortable with the decisions you make and contracts you sign, even if that means a lot of extra work on her part. There were several times we felt bad, to which she would ease our worries saying, “Don’t even worry- it’s all a part of the process!” We joked with her so many times during the planning- asking her if she ever takes a break. Well, spoiler alert to anyone wondering- she doesn’t. We don’t understand how she can have the same number of hours in her day as the rest of us, but she makes it all look easy. To those of you that are very detail-oriented and particular, she is just the right fit for you. She would make Marie Kondo proud with how organized she is in her wedding planning; no detail goes unnoticed. She was there at almost every single vendor meeting, tasting, etc- never missing a beat. A couple of our vendors even praised how hands-on and present she was, saying they had never seen a planner that was this dedicated before. Without a doubt she was a lifesaver every single day leading up to the wedding, but the week of our events- she was basically a wedding wizard. Every time we looked around or needed her, she was there! We could swear she can apparate, because we don’t know how she is always everywhere at once. We had so many moving pieces during our wedding and it was quite a production, but Cheryl handled it all seamlessly and with a smile on her face- like the classy professional that she is. We had some deep conversations with Cheryl along the way, which just made us love her more and more. A lot of people that are in the wedding industry can fall into a mentality of “well- this is just another wedding, just another weekend to me.” Not Cheryl. Cheryl Fernandez was the event coordinator for our daughter Monisha Konana’s wedding with David Joseph on November 8th and 9th 2019. Cheryl helped us for the entire planning right from finding the venue until the very last minute. All I can say is Cheryl is absolutely amazing and dependable lady who pays detailed attention to every small part of the wedding to make sure we come out with flying colors at the end. Her professionalism, her meticulous planning, striking deals with all the vendors and getting things done on time were just commendable. We had 5 back to back events in 2 days with around 425 guests and the way Cheryl and her husband Rohit executed everything with all the arrangements including the decorations, food, photo/video, DJ and managing the guests was just flawless. All our guests were extremely appreciative of all the arrangements and the smooth event flow. The best part was from one week before the wedding, we were almost out of the planning game and focused on our families and out of town guests. Cheryl and her crew pretty much took everything under control during that last week to make sure everything went smooth. From the day one, Cheryl took our needs and requirements very seriously and worked with us genuinely with lot of personal attention. My husband and I are from Chicago and decided to have an Austin destination wedding. We met Cheryl during one of our visits and we’re so glad we decided to hire a planner.
