Not only was the music perfect, but Kyle helped me so much with the schedule of the day and when I got overwhelmed and asked, he took charge for me and made it all run so smoothly. We had two lengthy phone conversations, one when we first booked and one the week of the wedding (we aren’t from the area) to go over what we wanted and he delivered that and so much more. I can’t thank them enough. If you’re looking for a DJ, stop looking and book now.

ortunately my husband and I didn’t get to dance too much at our own wedding (busy taking pictures and all that), so this feedback is from all our guests, and I’m not kidding when I say everyone was THRILLED with how much fun Kyle and Matt made the reception. They played the perfect bops for the older folks earlier in the evening, and graduated into some ~dance~ music - they really catered to everyone at the wedding! Our family and friends were dancing their butts off! The ceremony music was so stunning, and the transitions were perfect. On top of doing such a perfect job with the music end of things, they also were so kind to my husband and I, all of our other vendors, and our crazy families. They met each request with enthusiasm, and made their jobs look easy. I would 10000% choose Golden Gate again, and you should too!

Prior to our wedding, we filled out a detailed questionnaire that covered all areas of the wedding — what music I would walk down the aisle to, what our first dance song would be, even what song we would cut the cake to! This, along with a phone call with Matt, made me feel confident that our wedding day would go off without a hitch. Matt accommodated a family member of ours who sang while I walked down the aisle by providing a microphone and amp for her guitar. He also accommodated my husband’s love of the Tennessee Volunteers and let him announce the winning score against Florida in front of our friends and family, followed by blaring Rocky Top! It was such a great memory. And the photo booth! We got SO many people complimenting how fun our photo booth was and how awesome it was that you could text/email the picture directly to you after you take it. We also received a link with all of the pictures from the night, which allowed us to truly see how much fun — maybe even too much fun for some! — our friends and family had on our big day! I cannot recommend Golden Gate Entertainment enough. If you want to put on a great evening of dancing, entertainment, and fun, these are your guys!

excellent! He was fun, personable, professional, and had great stage presence. He steered the wedding perfectly with announcements. He played so many greats songs, and could read the room flawlessly. He closed our dance floor so epically, too. We told him afterward that he could not have ended that any better, and he said he just knew it would be the perfect song. People couldn’t stop talking about that last dance and we’ll definitely never forget it. We also got the package with uplighting, the monogram and the photo booth which I would highly recommend. Everyone loved it! It made for such a great vibe and party. It actually thunder-stormed like crazy during our reception and the power went out, but the uplighting from Golden Gate was battery powered so the party went on! They saved the day, how perfect is that! Everything about Golden Gate is high quality and we recommend them 10/10!

Anytime anyone requested music that wasn’t our taste, he always made sure we were okay with it first. They were amazing, and we definitely got more than our money’s worth.

We also had mentioned that we lived in Wisconsin for a couple years and had friends coming from there and he played the badgers pump up song. He was also a great energy on the mic and so professional. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

He turned our bridal party introductions into one of the highlights of our reception with the way he introduced everyone. Once the dance floor was open, Kyle did a fantastic job of reading the room and keeping the party going. We could not have been any happier with Kyle's service.

They were fantastic at communication and answered any questions that I had. If I had to change anything, they adjusted and adapted. Our guest were raving about the music and all of the effects, thanks to Golden Gate! Our wedding day was truly perfect in every way and Golden Gate was a HUGE part of it. I would recommend Golden Gate to anyone and everyone! We are so thankful for Golden Gate Entertainment!

ng songs. I had heard horror stories of brides giving their DJ’s their wedding songs, but they just played their own song choices, or only played guest requests. This was NOT the case with Golden Gate Entertainment! Kyle spent hours talking to me about every song I wanted, when I wanted it played, when I wanted to switch songs etc. – and that was all before the big day. On my wedding day, Kyle and Matt arrived on time and got straight to work. They brought the full setup and coordinated with my venue when needed so I didn’t have to stress at all! I loved the smaller setup for the ceremony, as it allowed the music to be heard and the microphone helped all our guests hear our vows. Then onto the reception… The personalized monogram on the dance floor set us apart from any wedding I’ve been to! The up lighting and large DJ booth filled the space beautifully and added a special ambiance. The photo booth was a huge hit with the guests, and they loved playing with all the props! All my guests raved over the text/email feature of the photo booth which allowed them to have a digital copy of the photos immediately as opposed to trying to keep up with a little photo all night (it was also an added plus getting to see everyone’s photo booth pictures online too!) Now, I must talk about the “Dancing on Clouds” and Cold Sparklers affects… and yes, they deserve their own paragraph! This was by far the coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life!!! It completely set my first dance apart and made for some of the coolest photos I’ve ever seen! They even brought the Cold Sparklers out for my grand exit (even more indescribably awesome photos)! If you want something to brag about from your wedding, make sure you get these two things, because I can guarantee you won’t find another company that does the things Golden Gate Entertainment does and that truly cares about getting everything perfect for your big day! Finally, Kyle and Matt…. They are the coolest and most charismatic people I think I’ve ever met! They didn’t have a single moment of uncomfortable silence or sad faces. They were constantly smiling, singing and dancing along to the music, and always knew the perfect time to hype the crowd up a little bit more. Kyle and Matt truly know music too – They found the most perfect songs to pair with my song requests so that everything flowed! I can honestly say that my wedding would not have been the same without Golden Gate Entertainment!

We found Golden Gate Entertainment through our planner and were already aware of their reputation since our planner had worked at a few of their weddings and could attest to their superior DJ/emcee skills and ability to read a crowd. From our first phone conversation, we could tell that Kyle was someone who absolutely understood our vibe and what vision we had for our reception—it was almost like talking to a friend after not seeing each other for years. We reminisced about the good ol’ days when rap and hip hop was great and he already knew specifically the type of current and throwback music we’d like to hear throughout the night (even by song). The day of our wedding was just as we had imagined and followed what we had spoken about to a T. He seamlessly incorporated our custom first dance song, emceed professionally even with last minute changes, knew how to keep the night going according to schedule, when to slow it down for our older guests, and picked it up and kept the party going the rest of the night. He even let us know that a family member had requested a song later into the night but wasn’t sure if he should play it since it would slow down the mood significantly, and we agreed--nobody wants the dance floor to clear out when you are expecting the night to end with a bang. Kyle was an amazing DJ and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He really helped turn our wedding into an amazing, fun, beautiful celebration! It was extremely convenient that we were able to secure lighting and sound systems with him as well. The planning part was fun as well - he knows weddings very well and has a huge database of songs to select from. Even for songs that he'd never played, he never batted an eye at finding them! Matt, we are so thankful to you for making our wedding day so incredible - I cannot recommend him enough!! We debated long and hard about getting live music vs a DJ, and I have never thought twice about choosing Matt. If you want a down-to-earth, easy to work with DJ who will take any stress out of the music part of the wedding - choose Matt!

Matt ultimately delivered the best wedding DJing we could have asked for.

I cannot emphasize enough how important this was to the success of our night.
