Golden Glow Ballroom

Attended their holiday markets this year and the venue is amazing and the events were so well done! I have been to wedding in the past and the food is so good!

Golden Glow Ballroom…. stay far, far away from them. I can’t speak for their venue, we just used them for off-site catering. Communication was completely nonexistent with them. We had our tasting last October and it was delicious and we put down the deposit then. That was the last positive experience we had. We were told that linens and centerpieces were included when we booked; months later, when confirming, we were told that there was a “policy change” and they were no longer included. I had to mass email everyone I knew that worked there with receipts stating we would receive those items to receive them. We dealt with probably five different event coordinators, planners, etc. as the turnover rate was very high. When we did talk to new people, they had no idea of our event, what we were getting, what was included, etc. I did not know the name of the person who would be on-site at our wedding until the day before. It took 3 weeks and multiple phone calls and emails to get an allergy list so I knew what my guests could eat. Good idea I did that because they changed recipes and food I had for my gluten allergen family members was no longer gluten free and they would not have been able to eat anything. They did show up on time; however, we asked for parmesan crusted chicken, and got chicken parmesan. The pasta we had definitely had a different sauce than when we had tasted it at the venue. We asked for a caprese salad and received a house salad. The food was fine, but not what we asked for and not what we tasted. Overall, they were horrible to deal with, I would not recommend them to anyone planning a wedding.

A BRIDES WORST NIGHTMARE! RUN! Please save yourself the heartache, stress, and waste of money! I had to replan my entire wedding three times! Management is awful! I mean awful! Garett couldn’t even have the decency to talk to me and I had to deal with Nick whom is an absolutely horrible excuse of a “Manager” could also not have the decency to meet me after destroying my wedding three times! The place is so ran down! Sign out front we were promised to light up with our names…broken. Bathrooms out of order… Carpet absolutely disgusting! Ran out of Diet Coke… Couldn’t get the keg to tap. The Golden Glow made every aspect of my wedding a living Hell! I had to make the best of it but I have the worst memory ever of my wedding! They got rid of my DJ that I worked with for a year and replaced it with a DJ that’s equipment failed multiple times and blantly ignored my whole song list! Forgetting key songs! They called me TWO DAYS before my wedding and said they won’t be using my photographer! I had to fight tooth and nail and get signed access for her to be able to shoot my wedding! They breached the contract for my baker and wanted twice the price for the same wedding cake they contracted me prior to firing the baker I had! They also got rid of the cook and the entire menu we picked changed! People pick a Venue based on these options! My only positives I had from this whole event was my photographer Alicia and Owen a worker at the Glow that was an absolute rockstar trying to make the night go smoothly! Tons of hiccups! Ungodly embarrassing! I was offered a tray a meatballs for my inconveniences! Literally a TRAY OF MEATBALLS! I AM SO HAPPY I AM DONE WITH THIS VENUE! Look at the reviews! Please know they will drag you through all their turmoil they have with their vendors and you will be the middle man of a legal battle mess! The last 6 months of my life they have made hell by effecting my job having to leave to try and scramble and get their issues fixed! If I could save one person from having to go through what we were put through and by having their entire wedding destroyed I pray this reaches you! I would’ve 100% not paid 10k and got married at the courthouse! No sympathy from them either! No refunds nothing but some meatballs! Get real worst customer service! You are at their mercy the second you sign the “contract” the disregard anyways! Never would’ve expected this from the first day we planned with the Glow over two years ago! They lost Jess and their All star team of vendors and are scrambling filling with “bar” DJ’s and unprofessional photographers and truly don’t care either! You’re wedding is suppose to be the best day of your life and we had to grit our teeth and just try and get it over with! Not how this should ever go for anyone!

Glow food is awesome, we used them for multiple caterings over the years! 100% recommend!
