Kate and Tristan at the Rice Mill with Good Food Catering were beyond exceptional! We used them as our wedding catering and received nothing but glowing feedback from our wedding guests. I absolutely loved our wedding food and the customization of our package.

Attended a wedding Good Food catered and booked them the same night for a party we were having. They were amazing! So easy to plan with and the food was great! The attendants/chef were very professional and personable. Contact Kate and Tristan for wonderful planning!

Good food catering did both our Rehearsal dinner (SC Society Hall) and our Wedding reception at the Historic Rice Mill. We went with their Italian style buffet (but family style) for our rehearsal and Southern/traditional for our wedding night. Everything was incredible and people who don't typically eat salmon or eggplant raved about those two dishes especially. We had a beautiful farmer's market and cheese display to start and petite fours to end the meal. We followed our rehearsal dinner with a two hour cocktail event that their servers stayed to cocktail and return glasses to the bar. For our wedding we enjoyed crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, and stuffed mushrooms for passed appetizers. We started the meal with a local green salad and our guests could choose from Ny strip, Shrimp and Grits, Apple braised Chicken, or Vegetable Napoleon. The portions were huge both nights. As good as the food is from Good Food Catering, the service is even better. Both nights their team was the same and we knew them by name. We can't recommend Good Food Catering enough!

Good Food Catering knocked it out of the park with both their amazing food and their professional service! Throughout the wedding planning process, I had a million questions and tons of changes to be made along the way (including postponing my original date due to covid) but their planning team handled everything seamlessly! Tristan, who was my main point of contact, always responded to me promptly and had great suggestions along the way! This made things so easy on me during the stressful wedding planning process. On the actual wedding day, their service was AMAZING. All the servers were incredibly friendly, quick, and professional. We used their bartending services (we provided our own alcohol) and servers for passed hors d'oeuvres. We opted for the chef-attended stations, which was great because it wasn't as "casual" as a buffet but not as formal as plated meals. This gave our guests flexibility to choose which meals they wanted and go up for more serving, which they did because last but not least, the food was AMAZING. My guests couldn't stop raving about our food! The Coq au Vin chicken and Beef Braised Short Ribs entrees were particular hits! Both were so tender and delicious! Their food is top-quality and prepared by local chefs, so you get Charleston restaurant-quality food! I would definitely recommend GFC for your wedding!

Cannot say enough good things about GFC! Planning staff, specifically Tristan who put everything together for us in just two weeks as well as Kate, were outstanding in their quick responses, professionalism, patience and kindness. On event day, the staff led by Ms Olympia was prompt, knowledgeable of the details, friendly and helpful. And the food was fantastic!! Mini lobster rolls, bacon wrapped scallops, oysters and filet Mignon were the most notable dishes but all was amazing.

Overall, we had a positive experience with Good Food Catering for our wedding. Everyone at our wedding commented on how amazing our food tasted! We went with passed apps during cocktail hour and 2 chef attended stations and a sushi station for dinner. Everything tasted amazing! We got married during the COVID 19 pandemic and Good Food Catering was good about putting into place a sanitation plan for keeping things clean and following guidelines. We did have some trouble reaching them initially during the shut down, but once we got back into contact with them things went smoothly. Due to the pandemic, our guest count reduced significantly to just our wedding party and parents and they were flexible with allowing us to reduce our guest count given the circumstances.

Extremely disappointed in this company. My wedding was scheduled for 3/28, planned around my spring break as I am a full time student at a medical university. The corona virus hit, my venue cancelled, forcing me to cancel my wedding. GoodFood only offered me $1,243 out of the about $5k I paid them. They had minimal regard for the fact that the cancellation of my wedding was out of my hands and postponing was not in option in 2020 for me, given my schedule (which includes summers). I would never recommend this business, because when it comes down to it, they will do what gets them the maximum profit, with no regard for how it will impact their client. We are devastated that our wedding was cancelled only 2 weeks prior, and now we are left with no funds to even have a honeymoon or elopement. Very disappointed in Good Food catering.

We are so happy we chose Good Food Catering for our wedding! Jenna was very helpful throughout the process, including listening to our feedback when choosing the dishes, to accommodating our needs when we had last minute adjustments to our head count. The food for both the cocktail hour and reception were delicious, and we received compliments from all of our guests. For the cocktail hour, we chose pulled pork on a johnny cake, lobster rolls, goat cheese stuffed date wrapped with bacon, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp on a chip. For the reception, we chose pecan crusted chicken with succotash, shrimp and grits, and beef tenderloin with asparagus and potatoes. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend choosing Good Food Catering for your wedding!

Good Life Catering recently catered our wedding in October and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, their whole team made the planning experience so easy. The food was exceptional... we are still getting compliments from all of our guests about how great the food was! They are extremely professional and affordable for the quality of catering. They also will change their menu to your preferences and will come up with new food options based on your vision and what you want! We can't say enough about how great Good Life is and we HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them!!

Our guests raved about the food at our wedding! We had their grouper, braised short ribs, and they even assembled a fantastic option for our guests with several allergies. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for 100% satisfaction from their guests!!

Good food catering was delicious and so easy to work with. Classic and elevated Southern cuisine from some of Charleston’s best downtown restaurants yum!! The food and service definitely impressed all of our guests. We highly recommend using Good food catering.

The food for our wedding at the Rice Mill was absolutely delicious. Our guests raved about the food, especially the hors d’oeuvres. We had the lobster Mac and cheese, she crab soup, beef Wellington, shrimp cocktail and stuffed mushrooms. They were all out of this world. They even brought the bridal party a platter prior to our entrance. We went with the low country buffet for dinner with some minor changes. They were very flexible when choosing our menu. They even sent us home with doggie bags which was perfect since my husband and I did not have much time to eat.

Good Food Catering was awesome at our reception at the Rice Mill. We chose she crab soup, bacon wrapped sweet potatoes, and mini crab cakes as passed hors d'oeuvres. We had shrimp & grits, BBQ, and taco station that were chef attended. We also had mini chicken biscuits as a late night snack. All the food was amazing. The guests loved it. Presentation was beautiful & tasty!

I could not have been happier with the service we received from the Historic Rice Mill. My husband and I worked with Jenna Tito and not only did she make the entire process stress-free and easy, but she also made recommendations and helped with aspects of the wedding that were outside of the required role of the venue. The venue was beautiful. We received so many complements. The staff also did an incredible job adjusting for weather. It ended up raining on our wedding day, but that had already been planned for and day-of adjustments were made with ease and care. This venue also provides the catering. The food was incredible. The guests could not stop raving about how good the food was. Thankfully, despite it being a hectic day, my husband and I were given a plate of the delicious food so that even we got to enjoy it. I cannot recommend this venue enough. They made a special day into a perfect one.

Where do I even start? Eve- who you’ll work with if you book Good Food Catering is seriously amazing! I felt like I had a caterer and wedding planner out of her! She goes above and beyond to make everything perfect. We started of course with our tasting which Eve handled. Food was amazing and she helped us pick out our menu, linens, rentals and rent. Passed appetizers, boiled peanuts, shrimp and grits, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, green bean casserole, blue cheese coleslaw and biscuits and an ice cream sandwich bar! She arranged a layout of our venue (down to every palm tree on the property) and made great suggestions based on her experience catering at our venue. Unfortunately our wedding was cancelled (4 days before it was planned for) due to Charleston having to evacuate for Hurricane Florence. It was devastating of course and I’m still dreaming of the day that Eve helped me plan that I know would have been perfection! With that being said I just returned home from my honeymoon to an email from Good Food Catering telling me that they were refunding me for our everything! It literally made me cry tears of joy! And was not something they had to do. Although I didn’t get to live out the day we had planned I would absolutely reccomend them. I could not have planned my wedding from California without Eve.

We had our wedding at the Historic Rice Mill (managed by GFC) and it was PERFECT. Jenna saw my vision and made it come to life. In fact, she made it look even better than what I imagined. It was so perfect and I am so grateful that Jenna was a part of our planning and end result. The food was AMAZING (our guests loved it too) and the presentation was beautiful. We cannot express how happy we are with how everything turned out. Thanks Jenna!

We had our rehearsal dinner upstairs at Rue de Jean because it is one of our favorite restaurants and our first dates! While I cannot comment on the planning side of the event, I can say my husband and I were extremely pleased with the attentiveness and politeness of staff. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere, while it did need some decorating done by by mother-in-law, was spacious with a lot of character.

We had our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding at Vincent Chicco's and couldn't have had a better experience. The food was SO delicious. Everyone who attended literally raved about the food and the service. Tristan was also a true joy to work with and was so helpful every step of the way. We appreciated her responsiveness, professionalism, and knowledge, especially since we were planning a wedding from afar. She even arranged for an early set up for us so we could get our table decor and A/V set up. I'd recommend this venue again and again!

The Rice Mill was our first choice! Jenna was AMAZING to work with and the entire process was seamless. The space is customizable and the catering options were all delicious!

The Rice Mill is a beautiful, romantic, unique venue that was perfect for our wedding!!! We had a sit-down dinner for about 185 people and we used both the indoor and outdoor space! The food was absolutely delicious!! I had the pleasure of working with both Jenna and Eve and they were both so kind, super helpful, and extremely knowledgeable! They made the whole planning process really easy! We planned the wedding from NY, so they were really accommodating and always responded to emails and questions promptly! They were great to work with! Overall, we LOVED the Rice Mill --- it is a FANTASTIC venue that helped make our wedding a truly magical day for us!!

Good Food Catering is wonderful! They provided the catering for our wedding on 04/21/18 at Historic Rice Mill. We got the Best of the Lowcountry menu and it was phenomenal! <3 Very 'Charleston' and got many many compliments on how great it presented and tasted. We didn't want to ordinary wedding meal menu, and Good Food definitely delivered on that. Highly recommended.

My Wife and I had such a remarkable experience here at the Rice Mill. Our coordinator, Jenna was first class from start to finish. We held not one, but two ceremonies celebrating an Indian wedding on Thursday and an American wedding on Friday. There was a lot of commotion, last-minute adjustments, etc. and Jenna and the ENTIRE staff at the Rice Mill adjusted incredibly. I also received multiple compliments from my guests regarding the food, but more importantly the customer service from the staff, and especially the bartenders. Jenna even came in on her days off to meet and work with us as we were from out of town. Truly an awesome venue, and experience thanks to these great people. HIGHLY recommended!

Absolutely gorgeous venue with pretty much the best food I have ever had at a wedding. Outdoor space is gorgeous as well for cocktail hour. Eve was fantastic with helping us easily organize everything without stress!

The Historic Rice Mill, Good Food Catering, and our INCREDIBLE day-of coordinator Eve were all perfection from start to finish. The venue is gorgeous, the food delicious, and the service exemplary. We were a bit clueless walking into our wedding planning and Eve was patient, communicative, and accommodating throughout the process. It's a bit of an undersell to call Eve our "day-of coordinator" because she was active and helpful from the day we called about viewing the venue all the way to after the wedding. Her creativity, warmth, and solution-focused attitude helped us create the perfect wedding day and to feel supported throughout the process. This venue is beautiful and incredibly charming - you won't have to do much to it. And the food is to die for. We did buffet and had 100 guests...there was more than enough space for everyone to sit. We embraced the low country cuisine and our guests were in awe of how tasty it all was. All in all, our wedding was such a wonderful experience. Our guests raved about it from start to finish and we were able to enjoy it ourselves. Eve, the Rice Mill, and Good Food Catering made it easy to create a personalized wedding day that left everyone feeling that they had experienced something special. I can't stay enough about how highly we recommend them!

I cannot be happier with our decision to use the Historic Rice Mill and Good Food Catering for our February 2018 wedding! We booked HRM sight unseen as we reside in Houston, just based on the gorgeous photos we saw online, then visited the venue a few months later to do our catering tasting and meet Eve, our day-of coordinator. Eve was amazing to work with - she was on top of every little detail and everything went off without a hitch! During our catering tasting she was accommodating, flexible, and provided great recommendations to help personalize our day. She was always quick to communicate about any and every question I had, and worked with my vendors one month out to create the perfect day-of timeline. I can't thank her enough for her assistance with our special day! I also can't write this review without mentioning the delicious food provided by Good Food Catering. You cannot go wrong with any of their delicious menus or food options. We did passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, and a surf and turf seated multi-course dinner. I had so many compliments on the food! Also worth mentioning is my maid of honor has a gluten allergy, and they were more than accommodating for her to ensure she had a dish she could enjoy as well. From the gorgeous view, to the exceptional service we received (from Eve's coordination down to the friendly wait staff), to the delicious food options, we cannot recommend the Historic Rice Mill enough!

Amazing Work! Jenna was wonderful to work with right from the start! We planned our wedding from out of town, so relied heavily on Jenna's recommendations. She responded to all emails quickly and thoughtfully. It's a magnificent venue (we received so many compliments on the view!), that is enhanced by the remarkable team that works there. Also of note - the food was outstanding. Many thanks to Jenna and her team for making our wedding easy and fun!

The venue was exquisite, especially to see the total eclipse of the sun on August 21, our wedding date. Jenna was FANTASTIC, we couldn't have had a better experience. She was always responsive, shared good ideas on decor, vendor options and had a calm about her that made me feel confident. I am from Toronto so I relied on her for early deliveries, long distance coordination, and meetings. She understood our vision and helped execute it into reality. Good Food Catering was excellent, the only dish we didn't love was the fish. The appys, the filet, and the chicken were outstanding! The ambiance was complimented by the eclipse and we had transformed this quaint old historic building into a romantic paradise. The team was also very accommodating; when we moved up the guest arrival time and opened the bar, it was not a problem. When we extended the wedding an hour the night of, it was not a problem. I would highly recommend this venue and team to help make your wedding day one of your best ever memories. Thank you to Jenna and the team for all your help.

The food was out of this world wonderful! We had a lovely tasting and was able to choose exactly what we wanted to eat for our rehearsal and wedding reception dinner. Our only complaint would be they served the wrong beer during our reception (one we unfortunately did not care for at all) and did not put forks out with our cake. My mother in law had to find someone to scrape up some forks so our guests could enjoy our cake. If you're looking for great food, Good Food is the way to go! They just need to iron out those fine details.

The Rice Mill itself is stunning, inside and out. It was remarkably beautiful, and my wedding was an absolute dream come true. You are guaranteed to have a beautiful wedding if you choose the Rice Mill. The food is delicious, the bar service is great, it offers indoor and outdoor space in one venue, and there is a parking lot in front (be mindful though, we didn't have many people drive and park, yet our parking fee issued by the City was over $300!) However, I have to say that my family and I were quite surprised by a few things during our experience. First of all, I am saddened to say that the biggest negative I faced throughout my entire wedding planning process was the struggle I had attempting to work with Jenna. Perhaps the largest example to describe my disappointment: I hired her and confirmed her as a day-of coordinator (which was a change they instituted during my time between booking and wedding), and Jenna completely forgot I had even hired her. At that point, I was forced to find another day-of coordinator (which turned out to be a fabulous alternative!) - I couldn't entrust that job to someone who didn't even document I had hired her. She was far less than professional throughout the process, even less so after the coordinator conundrum. I have to say, I am truly shocked that there have been so many positive reviews about her services. She certainly does not represent the Rice Mill in a positive way. Additional things to be aware of: there is no bridal suite at the Rice Mill. I couldn't ride in the car in my wedding dress, so I had to put my dress on at the Rice Mill. This occurred behind a screen, in the corridor to the kitchen area. My bridesmaids had to shield me. Needless to say, this wasn't ideal. Initially, I was told we could hang out and get dressed in Jenna's office on the wedding day, but Jenna did not follow up on this. Moreover, the innate loveliness of the Rice Mill made up for lack of professionalism. Just want to make people aware!

Virginia's on King did a FANTASTIC job for our rehearsal dinner!! I had booked our rehearsal dinner somewhere in Mt Pleasant but then we found out that our wedding was going to be the same weekend as the bridge run so I decided to move it away from the Mt Pleasant area! Because of that, I ended up booking Virginia's on King a little more last minute than I would have liked. I wanted somewhere that was affordable, easily accessible and in the heart of Charleston that my family and friends could be comfortable in. I hadn't tried the food at Virginia's on King except brunch one time a couple of years ago so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. The food was great and all of our guests really enjoyed their meals with no complaints!! We had a guest with Celiac disease and they were VERY accommodating with no issues or questions asked at all! The service was amazing the night of our rehearsal dinner, they checked in with us several times to make sure everything was perfect. The bar setup was perfect and the room was a PERFECT size for about 40 guests! We were all comfortable, the decor was nice and very southern/charleston, and everything else was great! No complaints at all and definitely one of the more affordable options in Charleston! Would highly recommend!

The food was wonderful. I did passed hors d'oeuvres and stations for a day wedding. I also asked for special mini pies. I loved all the food but my favorite was the blueberry mini pie, and it wasn't even on their menu. They really work with you for special orders. I also really enjoyed the mac and cheese and lobster. Also their caprese salad was so cute and served on mini forks.

I don't know where to start with our experience at the Rice Mill because our big day was such a dream thanks to Eve and the beautiful building we held our event in. We are so thankful for Eve's guidance through food (our guests can't stop talking about how good it was) and rentals- and even with questions the day before the wedding. The building itself is just so perfect- we hardly used any decorations and our guests are still raving about its natural beauty. We are so thankful for finding this place and to Eve for making our wedding day the best day of our lives!

The Historic Rice Mill and Eve with Good Food Catering did their absolute best to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Seriously the BEST food, smooth coordination and flow of our day, and great (fast) communication throughout the planning process. Eve made planning from out of town so easy. She also arranged all of our rentals, gave very straightforward and helpful advice, and even stayed super late after a wedding the night before mine to set everything up for our morning ceremony. Could not recommend Eve and the Rice MIll enough!!

Everything about the Historic Rice Mill was AMAZING! We held both our ceremony and reception on site, and we could not have asked for a more picturesque setting for both. The exposed brick, large windows and beautiful views were enough to sell us, but our wedding day (and all of the planning) were that much better when we met the amazing staff! We were lucky enough to work with Eve, who literally managed EVERYTHING - from the rentals and food to deliveries and day-of coordination. Eve met with us on several occasions to make sure everything was planned exactly as we wanted, she came through the day of when I forgot to drop-off important items, and she made it her mission to ensure that all of our guests were having a wonderful time on the night of our wedding. She was genuinely interested in making our night one that we would never forget, and we can't thank her and the HRC/GFC staff enough for all of their hard work!

I had a good feeling about the Rice Mill before our venue tours even kicked off, so it felt totally right when they emerged as the obvious frontrunner. We were working with a relatively modest budget and without question Rice Mill had far more to offer in terms of beauty and wow-factor than other venues in the same price range. Jenna and her team were fantastic to work with and all their help and guidance throughout the process was invaluable. The event itself went off without a hitch just a week after Hurricane Matthew. The Rice Mill Staff and Good Food Catering (their in house catering company) took such care to make it a beautiful event. Strongly recommended!

The food at our rehearsal was fantastic!!! Guests loved it. Venue only serves wine/beer which worked well for the rehearsal. Would be nice if there was handicap access for elderly guests but there is a restroom on the second floor. Communication with the on site coordinator could have been a little better but the venue printed me is for the guests and did come through in the end to make our night special. Thanks!

The Rice Mill was wonderful to work with and a beautiful setting. We had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their big day.

Such an amazing venue! Everyone was so impressed with how lovely it was

The food was wonderful - The service by Jenna (our coordinator), which included a poor and unprofessional attitude, was not. We were told setup was included on the contract (and had discussions about personal table runners and table number placement) until the day prior to the wedding, in which we were told certain items would not be placed. Her reply was something to the effect of "everyone knows caterers don't do that." I've never been married before and wasn't aware of typical expectations and relied on vendors for specific guidance. I was also confused because the contract stated they do all setup and because we had specific conversations about personal items that she said would be setup. We only had table runners, numbers and favors. I had to ask extended family to run over the morning of the wedding to take care of that. Then the caterers took our bakery items at the end of the reception and bottles of alcohol, which we purchased ourselves and provided. My mom had told Jenna she was going to grab bags to pack up the remainder of cookies (we had out as snacks), to find that they were gone 5 minutes later when she went back with the bags. Nobody claimed they knew where the cookies went. They also didn't serve both flavors of cake, or ensure that there was cake available at all times. We had many guests who didn't get a slice. They also threw out our favors that were on the tables while our guests were dancing. We personally bagged pralines with tags for our guests - not to have them thrown out! I realize not everything goes perfectly, and we expected a minor issue or two to pop up, most of which our guests I'm sure wouldn't realize, but what really stung was her attitude after we addressed our concerns. She disputed every detail and even went so far as to say the florist was talking poorly about me, which A) was completely unrelated and unnecessary and B) was completely surprising - we loved the florist and felt the whole process was easy with the florist! There were no apologies, just disputes and attitudes. With that said, the food was great - compliments to the chef! I recommended if you go with them to ask for someone other than Jenna as a coordinator.

When you book the Rice Mill, I believe you must use Good Food. It was easier for us at least, so we did and boy was it amazing! Note that the price I listed is also for full bar service for about 160 people. As for the food, it was some of the best food I've had a wedding. They have a full kitchen onsite so everything was hot and delicious. We had passed apps during cocktail hour of lobster mac & cheese, baby lamp chops & bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops. We then had two stations, one a full Italian station with chicken, shrimp, and 3 sauces and the second was a pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus. YUM! It was soooo good and Eve at the Historic Rice Mill is so easy to work with. Highly recommend this company for one of your biggest wedding expenses.

The Rice Mill was the perfect venue for us, complete with a rustic look (exposed brick and tin ceilings) and a view of the marina, which made for the best sunset photos. Because the venue is so pretty, we didn't have to spend as much on decorations. Also, Eve was so helpful and patient with us through countless emails and phone calls to select food and set up a floor plan. Food must be catered through the venue, which made me nervous at first to limit our options, but it turned out to be really helpful to work through one vendor. (They also handled the chair and linen rentals for us too.) We heard so many compliments on the food and the crepes were so good that we skipped a cake and served a few flavors of crepes for dessert instead. Overall, if this venue is in your price range, I would highly recommend it for it's beauty and the ease of working with their staff. The only downfall is that you can't safely walk from the venue to any of the hotels that are nearby so we hired shuttles for our guests.

I used Good Food for food and bar and would recommend to anyone interested. Everyone loved the bartenders! They were so kind, funny, professional, fast, and friendly! Good Food also gives you the option to have a mixer only bar which means you provide the alcohol while they provide the mixers and the bartenders. We were able to save tons of money this way - just be prepared to get the alcohol to and from the venue (if there is any left over).

We used the Rice Mill for both our ceremony and reception and loved it. Jenna was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was knowledgeable and very quick to respond if I had any concerns. The best part about the venue is the waterfront view. We got so many compliments on our selection of venue. I would recommend this venue to everyone.

My wife and I can not thank GFC enough for what they did to make our wedding night perfect. The flooding from Joaquin made our wedding a little more interesting as a lot of Charleston was blocked off from access due to flooded roads. GFC being one of the places blocked from access. I don't know what they had to do to get to their kitchen, but they braved the flooded streets to be able to provide the food and beverages at our wedding. This really meant a lot to us and not only that but the services and friendliness of the staff was excellent. On top of that the food was to die for. GFC worked with us up until the last few days of our wedding to make sure the menu was perfect. We appreciate everything they did for us and I will always recommend them to anyone that needs catering in that area. Sincerely Drew and Ally

Great venue - loved the scenic views off the back docks. HRM has a lot of charm because it is an old building but, if you are particular about the flow of the room, this would not be the place for you. It is an old building so it is more broken out. It didn't mess anything up for us though. Once this place was decorated and with the big windows with all the boats out back was beautiful. I love having our ceremony on the back dock. It was a very hot day but, the breeze saved our guests. I thought it was very picturesque with the boats right behind us during the ceremony. Very nice to have the ceremony on the back too as it was more secluded and quiet. It was great to have the back docks to for pictures as it is a very great area for pictures and they turned out awesome. Great to have this access right there! They did have tables we could use which was nice not to have rent those but, everything else will have to be rented (chairs, linens, tableware etc.). I did think Jenna could have been more helpful in the process - she seemed very short with us whenever we spoke with her on the phone. I guess I expected more from the management staff as we are their customers and we are PAYING for them but, everything got done and there were no issues so I guess I can't complain. I suppose I just expected more. However, food was great, wait staff was great and the venue was very pretty once all decorated and set up. I loved the venue and the chef is awesome! Bar crew was great to us too!

Even though I felt as if the venue was sometimes nickel-and-diming us with the catering and bar service, the venue was beautiful for our ceremony and reception. You cannot beat the location, they allowed us to customize our bar package, and we received complements on the food as well.

Perfect venue for a reception of 100-150 people. With respect to other comparable locations in the Charleston area, this is the best value there is! The atmosphere was relaxed, the layout is comfortable, building has a classic look that needs little additional decoration (money saver!), and there is a beautiful marina view (great sunset pics!). The event staff was amazing and management was flexible and made the event easy to plan. The menu selection can't be beat! I had the wedding of my dreams and the Rice Mill in large to thank for it.

It started raining minutes before my ceremony and the staff got drenched moving chairs around. Thanks so much for working so hard for us! The view was unbeatable, the food was delicious and the service was perfect. Thanks for a great time!

Working with Jenna at the Rice Mill made the wedding a breeze. She was there to help every step of the way including the bid day. The ambience of the building was perfect and we didn't even need decoration because the site had so much character. Our guests loved the Rice Mill and are still raving about how beautiful it was on the waterfront. As well, the food was incredible. I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. Good Food Catering is the in-house caterer for our reception venue - The Historic Rice Mill. We were able to have a tasting with tons of options and narrowed down our choices. The final result at the reception was amazing! The food was delicious and we received tons of compliments on "the best wedding food"! The bar set up was great and no long lines! The presentation was also beautifully done and service was great. I highly recommend Good Food, they also do off-site catering!

The catering from Good Food Catering was absolutely perfect! We received so many complements on the food. Everything from the appetizers,dinner,dessert, and the late night snacks were fantastic. They have a huge menu to choose from from and they are more than willing to work with you on anything special you may want.

The Historic Rice Mill was our first choice venue to host our wedding reception! We loved the ambiance, and overall feel to the building. There are so many options and ways you can decorate and utilize this site. WE loved that you could have the dancing and music near the bar and have inside and outside places for people to talk and mingle. The food was amazing and our guests were not afraid to share that with us. The servers treated my husband and myself like royalty. They made us plates of food and brought us drinks throughout the night. The air conditioning was kicking for our august wedding and you wouldn’t have even known it was summer outside. It did rain on our big day but that didn’t hinder the photo opportunities or our guests from enjoying the outside covered area to eat and mingle. The Rice Mill is beautiful in photographs either as a back drop or just candid shots. It is pricey, but worth the money!! The only problems we had was our Rice Mill host left during the process so we had to transition to a new person, but it didn’t take her long to catch up to us and our planning. What I felt was the most helpful for me was being able to go over throughout the year and visit the site and ask questions.

Good Food Catering did an excellent job at my wedding. The food they offer is some of the best in South Carolina. They were very professional and catered to me and my husband's needs. We wanted to change some of the drink options for our open bar and they were more than willing to work with us. I would definitely recommend Good Food Catering and would use them again!
