As the former owner of Green Olive Catering, I partnered for years with Rick Gordon, Leslie Lamb and their team to create happy memories through outstanding food and beverage selection and expertise.
Now, I love being on the other side of the desk. My experience working with caterers and event planners has given me firsthand insight into what it takes to organize a successful event and make your wedding truly special.

Had a great experience with Gordon's supplying the beverages for our daughter's wedding on June 17, 2023. Suzanne, Director of catering sales, has event planning nailed and provided succinct info about the operation and choices. Once the wine, beer, and signature cocktail ingredients were selected, the delivery and pick up was effortless. Their practice is very fair regarding charges and we felt that we had excellent value for their services. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and/or use again in the future.

We worked with Suzanne at Gordan's for our August 2022 wedding. Gordon's came recommended to us by our venue While we had positive interactions in person with the staff at Gordon's, we cannot recommend Gordon's due to Suzanne's unprofessionalism.
Communication with Suzanne was extremely challenging. She didn't recommend enough liquor for our event initial, we would have run out if we went with what she recommended. We went back and forth for months over email and the phone, up to the day before the wedding. When she proved that she couldn't recommend what we were looking for, we provided her with a list of what we wanted and the quantity. She fought us on the amounts and what we were ordering even though we agreed to no buyback on what she deem "specialty items''. We had an amazing wedding, but were very disappointed by the bar program. We ran out of tequila, items we never ordered were sent, and the delivery was a mess that our coordinator and my now husband were left to deal with on the day of.
Additionally, high proof alcohol was sent and was used in a signature cocktail, causing our guests to be over served at cocktail hour.
Due to all of this we cannot recommend working with Gordon's, specifically Suzanne, for your wedding.

Gordon's came recommended by our caterer. They were easy to work with & the pricing was reasonable. The team had good advice & was able to help guide us on quantities. Plus it was easy to make changes to our order. I really like that Gordon’s buys back anything un-opened; it helped us feel comfortable over-ordering a little to ensure we didn’t run out of anything during our wedding. Would definitely work with Gordon’s again if we were having an event in the area again.

Our venue (Elm Bank) only worked with Gordon’s for alcohol so we were initially worried that our options were limited but in talking with other couples, we kept hearing that Gordon’s was THE BEST to work with. Turns out - completely true! We really lucked out working with Gordon’s - they provided wholesale alcohol for our open bars with little fuss, with delivery, and they even buy back unopened bottles to save $$. Plus they had a great tasting event at their store which helped us make decisions on which wines and beer to add to our drink lists. Gordon’s is legit the best to work with. If you CAN work with Gordon’s for an event - do it. They are fantastic.

So so so so easy to work with and VERY fair pricing. They dropped off and picked up right on time. Numbers were spot on! If you get to provide your own alcohol at your venue, Gordon's is definitely the way to go to avoid the hassle of doing it yourself!

Leslie at Gordon’s was very pleasant and patient as I figured out my menu for my wedding, and helpful when it happened somewhat last minute that a family member would be assisting in the selection and taking care of the bill. I had a very good experience with Gordon’s!

Leslie is amazing to work with. I don’t drink so I don’t know much about alcohol and she helped with every detail and was always so personable and always answered my stupid questions and returned my calls! My guests loved the open bar and it’s all thanks to her assistance!

We used Gordon's for our wedding this June, and they were great! We had an open bar with beer (4 kinds) and wine (3 kinds) for 65 people, and it was VERY affordable. We're so lucky to be able to use consignment beer in MA. They had access to all kinds of beer and wine and were easy to work with.

We worked with Gordon’s at the recommendation of our venue and had an excellent experience with them from start to finish. My husband and I attended one of their wine tastings a few months before the wedding to pick out a few of our favorites and were able to meet Leslie, whom we worked with to place our order. They were very accommodating on the ingredients for our custom cocktails, had a great selection of wine/beer, and you can’t beat the prices/ buy back policies. They even saved us halfway through the wedding by quickly delivering more liquor when our guests were a bit more enthusiastic about the signature cocktails than we expected. We highly recommend working with Gordon’s on creating an awesome wedding bar.

Gordon’s provided the alcohol for our wedding & rehearsal dinner. We saved so much money here because our venue allowed us to purchase our own alcohol. The amounts were accurate, however, if you know your guests like a particular type of alcohol, ask Gordon’s to double it – you can always return what you don’t use. We had 3 bottles of Jameson recommended by Gordons, but asked them to add an extra bottle in case. We ran out of Jameson by 8:30… that was really all we ran out of though. Also, the delivery/pickup truck looks somewhat disorganized so check the invoice at delivery. Then before they come to pick up the returns, take photos of everything going back. Our refund was questionable for a couple reasons – first is I specifically requested them to bill me first so I can check it and then charge me (they didn’t). Second, they took back partial cases of beer and then charged us for bringing back an incomplete case (I ended up fighting for the partial case refund). We also by accidently (allegedly in my opinion) left an open bottle of Tanquerey in a box that they didn’t leave it behind and charged us for. It was on another floor than the actual bar with all the other unopened liquor so I guess that will forever remain a mystery. As far as working with them through the ordering process, Leslie was very short on the phone (almost like I was annoying her by calling), but efficient and got us what we needed so you have to take it for what it is I guess. I got to work with Sarah at the end of the process though and she was very easy to work with and thorough. Couples wine tasting event was very good. Bottom line is they got us what we needed within budget so I would use them again, just be more aware of some things.

Great selection, and quick responses. Also very reliable if your planning on bringing in your own liquor. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars- at the end of the night there was no communication with where the extra open bottles would be kept. They put the alcohol in a guests' car when the plan was we would pick it up the next day. A little communication and clarity would get them 5 stars.

Gordon's Fine Wine & Liquors was great to work with for our wedding reception. We called for a price quote and they are very flexible and customizable depending on your needs. We had a 50 person wedding reception and provided those details and based on their experience, they come up with a recommendation and a quote estimate. They provide the delivery and will also purchase back any unused/unopened bottles (they do the pick-up as well) and do not charge until after the event for the actual cost based on consumption. Very easy to work with.

I spent 6 months planning a fairly large event (not a wedding, but a surprise party), and every vendor I used did an amazing job except for Gordon's.
First, the good:
They were easy to deal with on the phone, and they deliver right to your event and pick up the unused items after so you can be credit what was not used. They are a bit old-fashioned. I'm not convinced they've heard of email, or sending paperwork or a confirmation or anything of that sort. Everything was done over the phone and verbally agreed on, which is fine, but not what I'm used to.
Now, the bad:
They DID NOT deliver one of the key items we ordered, did not contact me in any way to let me know it wasn't going to be delivered, and seemed completely surprised after the fact when I called to inform them we did not get everything we ordered. When I asked them after the fact what happened, the response was "I don't know." Unfortunately, the item not delivered was one of the main beers that the majority of people at the party would have wanted. Perhaps if they sent a summary, a confirmation, or anything of the sort and ran their business a little more professionally, they wouldn't have messed this up.
I personally would NOT use Gordon's again for beverage catering, and I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a beverage catering service.
This is apparently the way they do business and didn't happen only to me. See several reviews on Yelp that indicate a history of this type of thing. I wish I had researched them more beforehand. DON'T LET GORDON'S HANDLE YOUR DRINK CATERING!

My husband took care of the liquor order. But all he did was call, told them how many people we were expecting, what we wanted for liquors and beverages, and they delivered it and then some to our venue. They picked up any unopened bottles and only charged us for the opened ones. It was great because we just got the bill in the mail and there was no going back and forth trying to figure out pricing. They are professional, knowledgeable, and flexible. They are also very budget friendly.

Gordon's was great - it was so easy to place our order, and pick up and drop off was hassle fee. For over 100 guests, our bill was less than $1000 even with a limited full bar.

We used Gordon's for the open bar at my wedding and it was so easy! They were spot on with their amount recommendations, they even let you return any unopened drinks if you don't use them at the wedding! It was a lot more affordable than I thought it was going to be, as well.

We used Gordon's for our wedding at the Codman Estate. They deliver the alcohol (and all other beverages) the day of the event and they "buy back" anything you do not use at the end of the night. Payment is convenient too--You can opt to receive an invoice a few weeks after the event or pay via credit card.
The catering manager is so nice and helpful as well.

This was one of my least favorite experiences. We were very displeased with their services and would not work with them again. All of our other vendors were willing to work around our schedules, budgets, and tastes for us to be happy, but we had to argue our way into what we wanted. All in all, the quality and value were great, but I would never want to work with anyone that was rude, pushy, and disrespectful.

We used Gordon's and their suggested bartending service, Premier Bartending. Both were by far the best vendor to work with! They let you know what you need and you don't pay for what you don't use! We did wine & beer and had a cash bar, which the bartending service handled. You can pick basically any wine or beer as well! Would totally recommend if you're in the Boston area!

We did our liquor on consignment from Gordon's. They were very easy to work with, though did get a few things wrong (fortunately not fatally wrong) on our order. We also had to send for additional provisions mid-reception (our people are beer drinkers - which we failed to note while ordering our supplies), and were able to procure additional supplies in the middle of everything with absolutely no hassle.
The service is good - the people are nice - the selection is amazing. Recommended.
