Our wedding was perfect and we can’t recommend them enough!

. Since I live in WI, I was unable to familiarize myself with the area. I scrolled the Internet, feeling anxious, searching for just the right place. Then a photo of Gorges Beer Company caught my eye. It showed a sunny social room with a large bar and glass garage doors opening onto a patio with lovely mountain views. I immediately called Gorges to learn more about the facilities. Travis, one of the owners, answered the telephone. From our first conversation, he was knowledgeable, upfront and willing to accommodate our needs. I found It very reassuring that Gorge Beer Company had a lot of experience hosting all types of weddings. Since our guests were from out-of-town, I decided to add an After-Party following the reception on the second night. I worked with Kelli, the Catering Manager, to develop the menus for the three events. Kelli is creative, detail-oriented, personable and in a word – AMAZING! I loved her enthusiasm and unique ideas to make my food selections special. We decided the rehearsal dinner (family members) would start with an open bar on the patio with passed appetizers. Gorges provided bistro tables, string lights and cocktail hour music (and the beautiful view!). The gathering room was arranged in a U-shape with banquet tables covered with tablecloths and place settings (provided), candles and centerpieces (mine). Once everyone was seated, we did toasts and played the bridal couple’s wedding “story” on the video monitor supplied by Gorges. The bartenders (2) and waitstaff were efficient and professional. Once dinner was completed, the rest of the guests arrived for drinks and a buffet. It was such a fun night! It gave families and friends a chance to get acquainted the night before the wedding. The next day was a busy one with the ceremony and reception taking place across the toll bridge in Stevenson, WA. Kelli was so kind to make cupcakes and personally deliver them to the reception hall. Around 10:30pm that night, guests travelled back to Gorges Beer Company for the After-Party. They enjoyed a light buffet of sandwiches and drinks as they socialized and played foosball on the main level. For all our events, Kelli was on top of logistics from start to finish, which I really appreciated. It allowed me to focus on guests and having fun. The staff took great care of everyone; the food was delicious, and the drinks were perfect. Travis and the other owners of Gorges Beer Company can take great pride in their team! I highly recommend this vendor!

staff. Travis was so responsive to every question and email that it made planning a breeze. The staff were so helpful and friendly during the dinner that we felt special. We loved how easy-going everything was and that we could personalize any aspect of the event to make it ours. We were suprised how good the food was and the amount of drink options the bar had. We couldn't have chosen a better, or more unique, place to have our rehearsal dinner.

I would recommend Gorges Beer to others hosting a wedding in the Columbia River Gorge area.

ges Beer Co and had an absolute blast! The food and drinks were awesome and the event space has such a fun vibe to it! The rooftop patio was awesome to hangout on all night! Everyone was so easy to work with and our guests had a blast!

here was a lot of good to say, the negatives are what we think will bring the most value to future couples. These are easily fixable issues by the management. Day of the wedding: -Event space & bathrooms were not cleaned prior to us setting up the morning of the wedding. -Continuously empty water stations during a heat wave causing our guests to complain. -The dinner buffet food trays went empty halfway through the food line and the staff had to go to the brewery to get more food in a van and drive it back to the tent. It was embarrassing for us that our guests couldn’t get food. -Management did not tell us that the indoor brewery portion would be closed all day (Saturday) for a private event. We had guests show up early to have a beer and were turned away at the door. -Short Staffed – they had 4 employees working our event of 100 guests. A staff member told us that two employees called out, so they were short staffed. We do want to give a “Shout Out” to the staff working our event. They were awesome and we appreciated all their hard work. Post Wedding: -Travis Preece, the owner, sent us an email claiming we caused “1-2k” worth of damage and he doesn’t have our wedding insurance policy. (We emailed it to him 3 months prior in April). We addressed how we didn’t agree with most of the photos in our response. He claimed that the bride “lied” about having wedding insurance and that we should just pay him $580 and be done. We reiterated to him that the policy was already sent to him in April and that we hope to have a beer there again someday. His last response was that he found it, and he “never” wants to speak to us again. For future couples, even though the venue and location are beautiful, the Gorges Brewery is not a 5-star venue & the owner needs to work on his professionalism.

ges Beer Co. is also a great venue for any event. They were incredibly collaborative and accommodating when we had requests that went outside the scope of their typical event package. I highly recommend!

ption. We had a private bar, shuffle board, giant checkers, and space to mingle. The service was exceptional and Gorges worked with us to make sure that all of our guests with dietary restrictions were all set up. They helped us create signature cocktails which made the evening really special. The food was incredible! My husband and I were blow away by the quality and taste of the menu that Gorges helped us put together. Our guests could not stop raving about the steelhead that was served. Our dinner was served family style and we did not have assigned seats, which made it nice for our guests and family to mingle and talk. We loved our experience at Gorges and highly recommend it if you are looking for a venue in the Gorge.
