On the first floor of the building, there is a cool bar and dining area, which can host up to 60 of your nearest and dearest. The second-story mezzanine area is all about comfort, with a lounge set up and TV. Should you wish, an intimate dinner of up to 30 can be held here. The top floor offers up a rooftop patio, bar area, and stunning views. If you are looking for something outside, a tent can be erected on the property, which is able to host up to 200 guests.

Our rehearsal dinner and experience with Gorges Beer Co. was unforgettable. Not only were the food and drinks absolutely delicious but what made it so memorable was Travis and his staff. Travis was so responsive to every question and email that it made planning a breeze. The staff were so helpful and friendly during the dinner that we felt special. We loved how easy-going everything was and that we could personalize any aspect of the event to make it ours. We were suprised how good the food was and the amount of drink options the bar had. We couldn't have chosen a better, or more unique, place to have our rehearsal dinner.
I couldn't have asked for better partners than Travis and Kelly. Back in July, we held a welcome night party for my son Alex and Jenna's wedding at the Gorges Brewery along with servicing the bar at the wedding reception the following day at Cape Horn Estates.
From the start, they were very cooperative and supportive of the event and serviced our needs superbly.
We received many compliments from friends and family who travelled from all over the world to enjoy the celebrations. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile Thanks so much for helping make the wedding weekend so memorable. I would recommend Gorges Beer to others hosting a wedding in the Columbia River Gorge area.
Gorges Beer Co is the best place to host your welcome party! We had a destination wedding so all of our guests had to fly across country to attend. We held our welcome party at Gorges Beer Co and had an absolute blast! The food and drinks were awesome and the event space has such a fun vibe to it! The rooftop patio was awesome to hangout on all night! Everyone was so easy to work with and our guests had a blast!

When we were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted something easy and open that didn’t lock us into a super traditional wedding day. Gorges is, pun intended, gorgeous, and fully supported our vision for a relaxed, easy wedding day. 90% of our guests were traveling in, so the close proximity to Portland and the airport was ideal. It certainly didn’t feel like we were close to the city, though — our guests were blown away by the mountain and river views on the patio. We’re big foodies and love craft beer, and were pleased with both the quality of the food and bev and the all-inclusive packages they put together.
The star of Gorges, both as a brewery and as a wedding venue, is the owner, Travis. His kindness and transparency is a much-needed balm to the stress and confusion of wedding planning. He’s an excellent communicator and problem-solver — the issues we ran into would be resolved by the end of a conversation with him.
If you’re also looking for a beautiful, relaxed wedding venue with incredible food, in a great location, Gorges Beer Co is the venue for you.
I cannot say enough positive things about Gorges Beer Co. We had our wedding at their venue in Cascade Locks and it was absolutely amazing! Travis, Kelli and their team were a pleasure and so easy to work with as well as extremely professional throughout the whole process. I love that personal details offered for your special day (Names above the bar/ choice of beer and wine/ allowed to have an ice cream cart at the venue 😄) as well as they take care of pretty much everything!! The venue is stunning, all of our guests still comment on how beautiful it is there. The food was amazing and overall such a special and fun day!!
Wedding review July 2024
Our experience as a couple from California having a destination wedding at Gorges Brewery using their outdoor tent venue with about 100 guests.
While there was a lot of good to say, the negatives are what we think will bring the most value to future couples. These are easily fixable issues by the management.
Day of the wedding:
-Event space & bathrooms were not cleaned prior to us setting up the morning of the wedding.
-Continuously empty water stations during a heat wave causing our guests to complain.
-The dinner buffet food trays went empty halfway through the food line and the staff had to go to the brewery to get more food in a van and drive it back to the tent. It was embarrassing for us that our guests couldn’t get food.
-Management did not tell us that the indoor brewery portion would be closed all day (Saturday) for a private event. We had guests show up early to have a beer and were turned away at the door.
-Short Staffed – they had 4 employees working our event of 100 guests. A staff member told us that two employees called out, so they were short staffed.
We do want to give a “Shout Out” to the staff working our event. They were awesome and we appreciated all their hard work.
Post Wedding:
-Travis Preece, the owner, sent us an email claiming we caused “1-2k” worth of damage and he doesn’t have our wedding insurance policy. (We emailed it to him 3 months prior in April). We addressed how we didn’t agree with most of the photos in our response. He claimed that the bride “lied” about having wedding insurance and that we should just pay him $580 and be done. We reiterated to him that the policy was already sent to him in April and that we hope to have a beer there again someday. His last response was that he found it, and he “never” wants to speak to us again.
For future couples, even though the venue and location are beautiful, the Gorges Brewery is not a 5-star venue & the owner needs to work on his professionalism.

This year out of our 115 events, we had 2 which were very difficult and which we learned from. Both events had no day-of coordinator, and both had multiple parents making changes on the day of the event (and parents berating our staff). In th...
is case we had a parent demand that our team drop our normal procedure and help set up the dining area 9 hours prior to the event. This is an uncommon request but our team chose to close the pub to focus on making them happy. I think that's amazing! Our team continued to followed instructions from parents which took us off our game. Our team later asked guests to stop drinking and smoking in the parking lot. Instead of respecting the request, a parent berated our staff over it. A parent cut the tent panels open, and after the event we found a other property damage. I’m proud of how our team handled these events and I feel very “papa bear” over the fact that they had to deal with awful treatment and the emotional trauma from how they were treated. I believe it is never necessary nor acceptable to yell at a server. But I also think these issues may have been preventable by aligning on expectations prior to the event. Going forward, we don’t require a day-of coordinator, but we do have a 2-week call with all guests to discuss how to handle challenging guests and to declare a point person to handle conflict. These 2-week calls have been immensely helpful and we have had zero incidents since this event. Ultimately, my goal is that all of our guests are happy, and I take ownership over the fact that we can prevent difficult days through clear communication in advance. I can assure all of our guests that we go out of our way to provide top-tier customer service, and through collaborative planning with our clients we can handle all future situations well so that the couple can focus on what truly matters. Our priority is a happy couple and we continue to take feedback and learn from all events to improve on that priority.
My husband and I had our destination wedding reception here and it was the absolute best experience!! The managers were very flexible and easy to work with - they also worked really well with our wedding planner who was from out of state. They provided chairs to the off site venue and had employees manage the gate for entrance. We got SO MANY compliments on the food - everyone was saying it was hands down the best food they had ever had at a wedding. There was also ample volumes of food for everyone! The staff were so polite, helpful, and attentive. The ambiance on the upper deck was perfect for our small wedding, and they accommodated my request for a family style dinner. It was the best experience my husband and I could have asked for! Definitely consider Gorge's for your next event or wedding!!
I can't say enough about the people here and the venue. From the beginning when we booked both Travis and Kelli were communicative, friendly and so so helpful/accommodating.
Our day was perfect. I can honestly say there were no issues. Everything went as it should have. We had MULTIPLE guests tell us this was the most fun wedding they have been to. And a huge part of that was Gorges Beer Co venue and staff.
We had our event with just under 100 people in August on the hilltop outdoors. The location is so pretty, easy to get to and fun. It felt like our own special little outdoor park. The outdoor bar was a huge hit, the multiple seating areas, the lawn games... I could gush about this place for hours. I wish I could host a party here very year.
Food was so good. Wedding food is normally disappointing, but ours was not. Their food selections are hard to pick from because they are all so good. Our choices for beer and wine were high quality and also included their own beer. Their bartenders were talented as well.
I feel like we were so lucky to find this place.
I hope someone I know gets married here some day so I can experience it again. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.
My partner and I hosted our welcome party for 140 people at Gorges Beer Co. From the beginning the team was responsive, professional and flexible. On the night of the event, everything went smoothly, the food was delicious and the space looked beautiful. Have your event here!
We had our wedding in May of 2022 at Gorges and it was phenomenal! The staff and crew really went above and beyond for us to make our day so special, despite the rainy weather we had! The food is phenomenal, the vibe is fun and relaxed but stunning and we still talk about how much fun our wedding was. Can’t recommend Gorges enough!
My husband and I booked Gorges Beer Co. for a wedding reception in July 2022. The event space is on a hill above the brewery and the views of the Gorge are absolutely gorgeous. Gorges Beer Co. is also a great venue for any event. They were incredibly collaborative and accommodating when we had requests that went outside the scope of their typical event package. I highly recommend!
My husband and I could not be happier with our experience at Gorges. We chose to have a smaller wedding (about 40 people) and rented out the first floor of the brewery for our reception. We had a private bar, shuffle board, giant checkers, and space to mingle. The service was exceptional and Gorges worked with us to make sure that all of our guests with dietary restrictions were all set up. They helped us create signature cocktails which made the evening really special. The food was incredible! My husband and I were blow away by the quality and taste of the menu that Gorges helped us put together. Our guests could not stop raving about the steelhead that was served. Our dinner was served family style and we did not have assigned seats, which made it nice for our guests and family to mingle and talk. We loved our experience at Gorges and highly recommend it if you are looking for a venue in the Gorge.

My daughter and son-in-law had their reception at Gorges last summer. They were so easy to work with. The chef is wonderful. They did everything to make the experience perfect. I would highly recommend having your wedding or reception there.

We were married at nearby Wahclella Falls and love the outdoors. She grew up hiking the Sierras from her back door. He grew up hiking Forest Park trails from his backyard. Our shared love for nature made beautiful Wahclella Falls (a short bike ride from where Gorges now sits) the perfect choice for our day. Little did we know that 7 years later we would be hosting weddings at our own Gorge venue. This is one of the most beautiful settings in the entire world and I can't think of a better place to celebrate a day you'll remember for the rest of your life.
