On our first call with Anissa, she immediately put us both at ease. We felt like she already got us. We met up and there was no mistaking she was who was meant to officiate our wedding. She worked with us to get the perfect script written and asked for our feedback along the way. She helped us with our vows and made the perfect ceremony come to life. She did a great job of having the attention on us and our words to each other which coaching us along the way. I can't imagine our day with anyone else standing up there with us that day. So it was a no brainer for me to choose her to officiate our Civil Ceremony. We were trying to surprise our families with something special rather than just a simple notary, and we definitely achieved that goal. Anissa from Gracefully Wed Events was amazing in every way! From the first moment my now wife and I met Anissa, we were compelled by her and her graceful and confident manner. She was incredible throughout the entire wedding process and helped from start to finish in so many ways. She met with my wife and I before the wedding in order to make our ceremony reading more about us than just a general reading. She even coordinated with our musician, photographer, videographer, and event coordinator from the hotel in order to help make the wedding flow. We are so happy we hired Anissa to officiate our wedding! My husband and I wanted to find someone who would make our ceremony feel personal to who we are. Her goal was very clearly for us to have a ceremony that was perfect for us. And that is exactly what we got - an absolutely beautiful, touching, and personal story of us. So don't hesitate in the slightest to make adjustments until your ceremony is perfect for you, without a doubt that's what Anissa would want. On the day of our wedding Anissa made sure to come and meet me in person ahead of the ceremony, greeting me with a hug. I immediately felt so comfortable and at east - she felt like an old friend. While we were standing with her saying our vows, she was a comforting and calming presence by my side. Furthermore, our guests just loved her and enjoyed engaging with her as well! Another key piece of information is that Anissa reviewed the personal vows we wrote to one another - to help us make sure that our length and tone were complementary. And then she printed out our vows so we didn't have to. Anissa also printed out a beautiful copy of the ceremony so we could have it as a keepsake. By the time we said goodbye, Anissa felt like a true kindred spirit! You are the absolute best Anissa, we are so grateful to have shared our dream of a day with you!

Anissa was the perfect match to officiate our wedding. She took the time with phone calls and facetime to get to know us and custom make our scripts for our special day. Anissa has a great energy! She is truly excited to be a part of your day. What we loved about working with her is that we were able to customize our script to exactly our tastes. Anissa helped us with the outline but was super flexible about incorporating stories and readings that spoke to as a couple. One of our favorite parts of the process was meeting with her before the wedding. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple and learn about our relationship. She used that information and incorporated it into our wedding script; which we heard for the first time at the ceremony! It was so fun to hear our story told by her and shared with our guests. I don't think we could have picked anyone better to help us put together the perfect ceremony and officiate our wedding. Anissa took small conversations that her, my husband, and I had back and forth and wrote an amazing script that captured our relationship perfectly and brought me to tears every time I read it. Anissa is my first review to write after getting married, and rightfully so! The ceremony was incredibly important to me and I wanted to find a officiant that understood who we are as a couple and custom write a ceremony for us. From the first moment of speaking to Anissa I knew she was our gal- kindhearted, warm and understanding. She knew exactly what questions to ask my now husband and how to involve him in a way that made him comfortable and she got all the details that were important to me. She also ran our rehearsal the day before and made sure that everyone was comfortable and happy. Anissa took the time driving to our venue and waiting for all of us to arrive (in afternoon traffic and with delay) and then even offered to take my in-laws back to town as their Uber did not arrive in time. That is just exactly who she is as a person- loving and kind. The ceremony she wrote for us was perfection, and it was my favorite part of our wedding! Anissa gave us a little folder with the printed out version of our ceremony and the poems that we used - which is such a sweet sentiment for us to have! I’m so glad we decided to go with Gracefully Wed for our officiant. Anissa was super involved, and she really made our day special for us. From the beginning she was there to answer any questions or concerns we had, as well as walking us through the process in great detail. She also helped us with our vows and when everything was said and done she handled all the paperwork for us and had a beautiful decorative license made for us that we have hung up in our bedroom. Where do I even start? Anissa and her assistant, Mallorie, are the most amazing and gracious people I have ever met. Anissa contacted me back right away after I inquired about her officiant services and she not once did I feel like a stranger to her during our phone call. The most uplifghting voice I have ever heard full of love and passion for what she does! My husband and I also offered her to help coordinate our wedding. I can’t exlain how many times she went out of her way to make sure that our dream wedding happened. My first wedding venue canceled on me and my DJ canceled on me the day before my wedding... Anissa made sure that didn’t stop us! After we found our new venue at the beautiful Merchants Hall, Anissa and Mallorie were available at anytime of the day to speak to me and give advice, inspiration, etc. If you want to achieve your dream wedding and have a stress free process, please hire these women. Our wedding script had us in tears during the first draft!! It’s like Anissa had known us for the past five years. Anissa was FANTASTIC! My husband and I were married in front of the Angel Oak Tree on John’s Island. Our wedding was very small and intimate. I loved the custom script Anissa wrote for our ceremony. The old fashioned ceremony and vows are fine, but my husband and I wanted something more unique that fit our personalities and Anissa really captured that. She helped make our day truly memorable. I do not even know where to begin and if there is enough space to exude how perfect Gracefully Wed / Anissa was and what an ENORMOUS role she played in making our special day even more perfect! I can begin by saying that the moment we spoke via phone, I knew she was the one! I felt as though I had known her for years! We had a follow-up phone call where she wanted to get to know both of us (how we met, 'our love story', families, when we knew we were in love with one another...) - then even blessed us more by meeting at the location of the ceremony when we arrived in town, to walk through everything step-by-step! Anissa is an exceptional communicator and listener! She has an amazing attention to detail and leaves not one single detail out! Anissa even made signs for our lost loved ones and reserved seating for them at the ceremony with beautifully made signs~ To top it all off, she placed wooden butterflies around the signs, because she heard me mention my love of butterflies during our 'walk-through' appointment. We knew when we selected Charleston how many people are married in the City and travel to be married in this beautiful City - and especially knew how busy Anissa was -- but we NEVER felt rushed - we NEVER felt as though she had other appointments - we ALWAYS felt like we were the most important people on her schedule! I just cannot say enough about Anissa's kindness, warmth, genuine spirit, love for what she does, attention to detail, ability to listen so well, her kind delivery of our vows, understanding...the list goes on and on! Anyone that works with Anissa will find that she will make your wedding even more special just by having her there! She has a glow around her! Anissa even gave us our printed vows to frame!! I feel so blessed having met her and having her share in this moment with us~ Every single guest commented on Anissa after the ceremony and said it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended! Sean and I absolutely loved having Anissa officiate our wedding at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. She not only did a wonderful job making our ceremony script one-of-a-kind but she organized the rehearsal brilliantly. We enjoyed her leading the rehearsal and I can tell she loves what she does. Annisa was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to FaceTime us and get to know us better as a couple she also was very flexible when we changed our ceremony 4 times. At the ceremony she was dressed very elegant I was proud to have her up there marrying us.
