It had a really cute theme. But aside from that, it falls flat. Service is lackluster at best- they’re avoidant and unhelpful. Walls are paper thin- which is awful when there is a room of unaccompanied kids next door and the front desk staff refuses to answer the phone. Drag racing on the street outside. Not clean- soiled linens, bathroom gross, crumbs, items falling into disrepair. Wifi is worthless

The staff at the Graduate Lincoln are so organized and responsive! They worked hard to ensure all the little details of our reception went as planned and were very accommodating when scheduling things like meetings/tastings/etc.
Food was catered by the in-house restaurant and was delicious! The staff was great at dealing with options for food allergies or other dietary restrictions.
If you're looking for a venue with a little character that has a team of professionals working with you - the Graduate Lincoln is a great option!

We used the Graduate Hotel in Lincoln for our wedding room block, rehearsal dinner and to get ready on the day of our wedding. We were blown away by the service and care we received during the planning process and the level of professionalism was outstanding. Emails were returned in a timely manner and questions were always answered thoroughly and with full transparency. We fell in love with the charm of the hotel - it felt like such a celebration of Lincoln and Nebraska (almost like a destination within our own city!). It added so much character to our get ready photos and our guests raved about their experience. We loved access to Single Barrel for our guests and their catering for our rehearsal dinner was next level. The hotel's proximity to downtown and views of Lincoln (and the stadium) provided an unforgettable experience.

We used the ballroom in the lower level to have our ceremony and our reception for 50-60 guests on New Years Eve. We worked with Megan and she did an amazing job helping us plan, get all of the details worked out, staying within our budget, etc. Everyone that we dealt with there was great and provided great service so that our wedding & reception ran smoothly - we were able to relax and just enjoy everything! The food was amazing and we had many compliments. The all inclusive route was great for us and our stress levels! Everything that is included or comes from the hotel (facility, decorations, catering, AV assistance, hotel room for bride & groom, gift opening space, etc.) just made planning so much easier. Our banquet manager and the staff that worked our reception all did a great job as well! We highly recommend working with Megan for your event!

They did an awesome job. They set up everything for us at no extra charge. The night before and day of they had meetings going on in our room. The only bad thing was we did not get a king bed.

We held our reception in the basement of the Holiday Inn downtown. We loved having the room in the basement because we were the only event down there which gave us our own area to hang out and our own restrooms. Our room was not completely ready when we arrived and the centerpieces that I was borrowing from the venue were not in the room. My contact at the hotel was not working until that evening so I had to spend a lot of time finding someone who could help me get the centerpieces. The centerpieces were also dirty which stained a couple of the table cloths which also had to be replaced. Overall, everything was great but it would have been nice if my contact were available when we were setting up or at least left the information with someone who was there.

The inside of the ballroom is so gorgeous that no decorating was necessary! We had the florist bring in centerpieces, and that was all! And the hotel also took care of all of the picking up and cleaning. We had to put on, and remove, the rented chair covers we brought from a different company, but everything else was taken care of.
And our guests RAVED about the food, and it wasn't as expensive as a lot of other places we toured when choosing a reception site.
We also had a complimentary suite on the second floor complete with a king-size bed, jacuzzi bathtub, and chocolate strawberries with champagne.

When choosing the Holiday Inn we had great hopes! Our coorespondant was responsible, trustworthy and very put together. Throughout the planning process our planner made it pleasent and everything seemed peachy. It wasn't until the day before and day of that really urked me. Our wedding was a friday wedding which really put our time and our families time in a crunch with work and prep. We were told we could come in a set up decorations by 4pm Which worked, we could get dressed for reheasal and have and hour to decorate before rehearsal. Unfortunately the banquet crew did not have anything set up by then so we had to wait until 10pm to create our mock tables. Then I had to leave it up to Hollie to finish our vision. It made me a bit nervous. On the wedding day we were excited to get up and get going!!! By the time we left at 3:00pm (our recpetion started at 6:30) they had not began on setting up decorations.....i was concerned. Then at the reception the wrong mints were placed out amoung other things. The next day, we had to go through all the centerpieces and separate our stuff out. Come to find out, an expensive basket my mother in law had was missing as well as other flowers and items we rented.

The food was somewhat expensive but really good for the most part (one special ordered meal wasn't great). The staff was extremely helpful.

they were very helpful. only problem was they set up the room wrong, and we had to rearrange, but it was early the day before and they say it holds 500 people, but that is before a head table and dance floor. it really only holds 350 MAX. otherwise great location! :)

Our wedding went great but there were some snags with our service at the Holiday Inn. First, we ordered 9 bottles of champagne plus other alcohol for the night yet they were charging our guests or turning them away. I (the bride) had to find the coordinator to get it corrected but by that point it was too late and people had already paid for some of the alcohol that we had already paid for. Overall though, the experience was good but it just seems like they aren't really as focused on you as they could be - you know they always have other weddings they are worried about. This was an annoyance at times - especially when they booked a wedding after our ceremony without asking the time we were having ours thus making us move our time. It is a beautiful place to have your wedding at though and they do set up/take down everything for you.

The Holiday Inn was great! Their wedding servies department helped me with everything! We had our ceremony and reception in the same room and they put everything together, coordinated with the rental company, and answered the bazillion questions that I had. They flipped the room from ceremony format to reception format in about an hour and it looked great!
