Grand Affairs Catering and Venue offers on and off-site catering. Our in-house chandeliered ballrooms cater events from 35-500. Our In-House Wedding Chapel or Off Site Garden Wedding location (coming Spring 2024) await you and your guests for the start of a beautiful day. Professionally trained culinary, beverage and wait staff personnel are here to ensure a wonderful experience. Bring in your alcohol with our mixers, bartenders and ABC license for on and permitted off-site locations. On-site coordinators, exclusive complimentary decor package along with our delectable cuisine will create an atmosphere where dreams are realized and memories are cherished. We decided to use Grand Affairs to cater our wedding in Knotts Island, NC. Jaki and her staff were attentive, friendly, and so helpful the day of the wedding! They were so easy to work with and helped to make our day incredibly special! We got so many compliments from our guests stating that the food was amazing and the staff was great! I would highly recommend Grand Affairs to anyone in the area looking to cater an event. You won't regret it!
We could not thank this place more. If we ever have another event, it will 100% be here. Our rep we worked with, Michelle Renee, was absolutely incredible. They made our special day easy and go off without a hitch. The price for what you get is the best in the business. We had a great time and had zero worries the day of the wedding. We could not recommend this place anymore.
Before COVID, we started planning our wedding with Grand Affairs. Taking into account the constant and unforeseen changes that COVID played, we continued to be understand. We found that the communication during COVID was extremely lack. I sent monthly email asking if my wedding date was changing and that was the only reason I received any updates. 3 weeks before my scheduled wedding date, I was told that I had to either change my date or reduce the count. We understood that this was due to the Governor's mandate however, if given this choice during the updates, it would have made that process a lot easier. We ended up reaching out to the owner who decided to give us a new person to work with and give a complementary fruit and chocolate station for out cocktail hour. He assured us the communication would be better and we trusted him for that. Our new rep was a true pleasure to work with. As you can probably, we of course moved our date back (from June to August). A month before our new date, the Governor move the restrictions back. I immediately contacted the owner and was assure that Grand Affairs fell under a restaurant code which did not limit our wedding to 50 people. This was a true relief. Less than 10 days before our new date, I received an email that said we had to talk out our guest list since the mandate hadn't change. As you can imagine, yes I was confused. I quick called my rep and she explained to me that I have to lower my count to 50 people. I then asked to speak to the owner as he previously gave me different information. He then told me that he information he was given was changed but, we were NEVER notified of this. This left us cutting out guess list in half a week before our wedding. While at our wedding rehearsal, we were inform that our entire bridal party was required to wear a mask during the ceremony which of course left out bridal team scrambling to find matching mask at the last minute. On my wedding day, while my groom and I were in the reception area, my bridesmaid went back to the chapel to over hear the Grand Affairs team vent about us. Saying that we complained about everything. Even though I was upset with my experience, it was this action that prompted my review. However, the experience/communication continued to fail. We were due a refund due to the decreased guest count I was told that we would received our refund by the end of August. The beginning of September, I was told that our refund was being processed. We finally received our refund September 21 (30 days after our wedding). When receiving our refund, I questioned our deposit not being refund. I was told by our Day of Coordinator that we did not receive it back because our wedding party was over 8, our rehearsal ran over and our ceremony ran over. In a snarky email, she mentioned that our contract gave us that information however, that was not the case. She said that we pay $50 for over 8 in our wedding party and we were charged $50 for going over our ceremony time...she also mention that our rehearsal ran late because my groom was late, I had to let her know that we rode together so, that was not true. When calling as asking her to tell me where it said the "over 8 fee of $50" in our contract, she could not find it. Later that day, I receive a call to pick up our remaining balance from our deposit. I tried very hard to work with the venue but, the lack of communication and unprofessionalism from the staff was truly disheartening.
Amazing time of my life! Great party,great decor. Whitney and her team were amazing! Astro DJ, Danny Gray, was great! Roast beef was the best part of our meal. It was an amazing night!
They were kind, professional and worked with our budget. The food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!
We couldn't have imagined a smoother or easier wedding planning experience. We arent from the area, so the option for all inclusive really sold us. The food was delicious. The decorators are fabulous, and made everything so simple. Everything we forgot, they were on top of it with a solution.(Even returned a platter that we left behind to our cake maker and mailed us our ceremony centerpiece we forgot) There were 2 wedding day of coordinators that were included in the package, and they were outstanding. They made it all so easy and stress free. The entire staff was energetic, friendly, and made the whole experience one I will never forget. I'm so grateful for everything everyone at Grand Affairs did to exceed our expectations. A special thank you to Brian who always gave a speedy response to my frantic bride-to-be emails with all the right answers! From the bottom of my heart, Thank you all!! I wish we could just do it all over again!
This is my second time attending an event at this venue. The first one was a birthday party and this past weekend it was a function for our church. The birthday party was an pretty amazing function. The church function was as great. They went above and beyond with some things the church discussed we didn’t want, as far as decoration, which I know an considering the time of year it is, it was difficult for them. The food was good and the staff was great! I am thinking of having my daughters wedding here.
I was looking forward to using this venue for my wedding. The price was in my budget and included a lot. Jackie, the wedding coordinator, was very upbeat & polite over the phone and I was looking forward to working with her. Unfortunately due to the lack of communication within the business, no one was at the venue when it came time to do our tour. The only person there was a rude lady up front that stated “I’m off today, I’m just here dropping off checks” and gave no further assistance on how to proceed to possibly reschedule the appointment or if we should wait for someone to show up. Overall these are warning signs of how the business is ran and the lack of customer service. I couldn’t imagine trusting this venue to make sure my big day is ran smoothly since they couldn’t even ensure my tour was ran smoothly.
Jaki and all the staff were amazing. She coordinated everything down to the last detail. My vision for the room was more than I could have hoped for.The food was SO GOOD, people could not stop talking about the salmon! The pasta bar was a big hit too. All of the wait staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. THANK YOU Grand Affairs for making our special day perfect and even better than we could have imagined! Jennifer Ethridge
I had a very good experience using this location as a venue for my wedding for both the ceremony and reception. Brian Harvey helped us every step of the way and even did a walk through at the end to make sure every detail was on point. My husband Brandon doesn't get get excited for many things, he was extremely happy for the entire event along with me. We highly recommend!
July 14,2018 was one of the best day of my life..And Words can not Express how Grand Affairs From Whitney to the chef, Jackie Michelle everybody was wonderful and I could not have asked for a better perfect wedding and reception....And my guest are still talking about how beautiful it was and how good the food was.....
Everything looked amazing, great communication. Price was greatttt, omg the food was AMAZING.....I loved it. Slight hiccups here and there but nothing we couldn’t handle.
Jaki is amazing. She helped plan everything exactly the way I wanted. You can tell Ms Jaki loves her job and is passionate and willing to help with any and everything to make your day smooth. My only gripe is that my Mistress of Ceremonies Nicole didn’t do as much as she should have. My guest were waiting in the hall, no one ever told them to go into the ceremony hall. My dressed wasn’t fluffed at the end of the aisle (she was supposed to do that). She missed a lot of small things.
You'll have no worries if you book with Grand Affairs. I had extremely high expectations and the Staff met and exceeded my expectations. Ensure Michelle is the Captain of your day and you won't have anything to worry about.
Grand Affairs made our magical day come to life. I worked with Jaki for over a year and she went above and beyond in assisting me with every single detail. She was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend everyone to get marry there. I love Grand Affairs!
Everyone was extremely nice during the planning and while we were making payments, but once the final check was cut everything went downhill from there. I had my own Mistress of Ceremonies, but they insisted that I use the one that worked for them. She rushed us in and out of the chapel, in and out of the banquet room, and she misplaced my expensive handmade wedding programs. Not only did they refuse to compensate me for my programs, but they kept my deposit because I used the Chapel for 10 minutes to take pictures after my ceremony.
The staff was great to work with during the entire planning process and were especially helpful since we were planning from long-distance. The room looked great and they have affordable packages and various options to choose from. The food was also great!
The package makes everything so easy and the staff is so friendly! So excited for the big day!
We recently had Grand Affairs as our caterer and it was without a doubt one of the most brilliant highlights of our event. I can't express how simply fabulous Grand Affairs was!! Firstly, their staff is incredibly thoughtful, professional, friendly, and courteous with a fantastic personalized eye for detail. They know how to make you and your guests feel absolutely amazing. Our guests simply raved about the scrumptious food and we joy every single bit. We can't recommend Grand Affairs catering enough - they were simply wonderful.
Where do I even begin to express how happy I am with this venue and catering company?
My husband is a Chef so you can imagine how the catering was so very important to us. He asked a lot of questions and was very tedious with making sure this is what we wanted. Our interactions with Jaki, our sales rep, at every point was above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. One of the reasons we picked Grand Affairs is they were willing to work with our bizarre request to have Breakfast for dinner. Our reception was 6pm to 10pm, and other caterers were not willing to make breakfast at dinner time. Grand Affairs was not scared to accommodate this. The Chef not only prepared an amazing buffet but spent a lot of time perfecting certain creations that are not common. Needless to say people are still telling me how amazing the food was!
I cannot express how appreciative I am of Jaki, Ann, and the catering staff at Grand Affairs for everything they did to make me and my husband’s day as perfect as they did. I always refer my friends to Grand Affairs just from the pure interactions with them, now that I have had the wedding, I refer them even more.
I am a strong believer in word of mouth testimonials and reviews from other brides to decide on picking vendors. I can say with all my heart, pick Grand Affairs, They go above and beyond and care about you like you are family. A truly lovely place start your forever together.

The planning seemed daunting, but Jaki made planning easy. She adapted to each of my changes to the ceremony and reception with ease. The staff who worked my wedding at the beach and the reception at Grand Affairs listened to me and made me feel important.
We used the Grand Affairs for our reception vendor. They did an AMAZING job with the decorations and the service for not just the bride and groom but the guest as well. They were very attentive and made sure everything was perfect! When ever we had questions prior to the wedding they were always there ready to help and make sure we understood everything. We weren't the only ones that were pleased with their service but all of our guest as well. I don't know how many times we heard " this is so beautiful!" and "they are doing an amazing job at making sure we are happy:" If I were ever to need a vendor for any big party, they would be the ones I would go to in a heart beat! I would recommend them to anybody!
Grand Affairs was a fantastic catering company to work with! We had heavy appetizers as our wedding meals, and everyone complimented us on the diversity of options. I really appreciated the extra efforts they made to the make the day that much more special - even checking in to see if they could get me (the bride) anything throughout the reception. Jaki and her staff were wonderful to work with throughout the whole process!
From beginning to end the entire process with Jaki was so wonderful. Any questions we had she was always able to quickly answer. My husband and I paid for everything ourselves so we tried to stay in a budget and Grand Affairs was very easily able to accomodate this. The hall is also just beautiful, all my guests wouldnt stop saying how gorgeous the room jaki and her staff set up for us was. My guests and I also loved the food, it was such a delicious meal. I would recommend Grand Affairs to anyone that needs an amazing, affordable wedding experience.
We hired Grand Affairs to cater our daughter's wedding for 125 people at a winery in 2013. It was fantastic! Chef stations of all our international and family favorite foods were a huge success with our guests. The decor was magical and romantic, and the staff was attentive and professional. It was also terrific having a professional wedding coordinator work with us every step of the way. She coordinated our vendors from months ahead right through the event.
When our next daughter marries, we already know we will be back to visit Grand Affairs!
They had fantastic food and service. The only problem was that they were 45 minutes late to the wedding. But great service and food!!
I can't believe how Grand Affairs took my vision and made it come alive! The decor, food, service and help with pulling all my vendors together was fantastic! It's been years and friends and family are still talking about the awesome food and the chef stations at my wedding! I would highly recommend them to any bride and groom, or anyone looking to plan a special event!
We used Grand Affairs for my wedding at The Williamsburg Winery on 9/21/13 and they did an outstanding job. Jaki was very helpful and organized throughout the whole process and all of the staff at our wedding did an awesome job. All of the food was delicious and our guests were raving about it. The food display was beautiful and the staff made sure that my husband and I got to sit down and eat which was great. I highly recommend Grand Affairs to anyone looking for delicious food and amazing service.
Jacki was a pleasure to work with from day 1, she had the best attitude and energy you can really tell she is a woman who truly loves her job. She was so helpful, helped us customize everything and kept us UNDER our budget! The day of the wedding the officiant was almost an hour late and the staff didn't flinch at all, they kept the food warm and they all had smiles on their faces the entire night. they also packed the left overs for us and cleaned everything up.
I needed to accomodate 85-100 people. The price and location were great. There was plenty of free parking. The decorations were very nice and all I supplied were favors and cameras for the tables.
The staff at Grand Affairs Catering was so helpful and professional! They even gave us a "care package" full of wine, cheese, and fruit in addition to the catering. The catering staff had great leadership and they were all professional and very polite. I was slightly nervous because it was a same-sex wedding, but they were all friendly and accepting. I wish I could use them again!
Helena was my initial contact. In the begining she was awesome. Near the end after being locked in with a deposit it appeared like her attitude changed. The reception went well the banquet staff was awesome. Food was perfect and we had a ball. The bartenders made the drinks just right. The space and size of room was perfect.
It was a little hard getting ahold of them between the initial consultation and right before the wedding, but they did a great job and nothing was left out. They took special care of my guests at my beach wedding with iced bottled water (which I didn't even know they were going to do). The food was amazing, the DJ they recommended was awesome, and I had a personal wedding coordinator at the ceremony and the head service woman greeted me and took care of all of my needs at the reception. I felt like I was treated so special by all of the staff on our special day!

We hired Grand Affairs to do the catering for our wedding at a beach house in Virginia Beach. Jaki was such a huge help during the whole process. We were so pleased with the food, setup, staff, service and cleanup. They really did leave the place cleaner than it was when they got there. It was a perfect fit for what we needed and they were there for us every step of the way.
Grand Affairs catered our wedding reception at the Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia. Helena, our wedding coordinator, was a pleasure to work with. Helena was always available to answer any questions from the beginning to end. She also offered great suggestions on ways to make everything run smoothly. Grand Affairs worked with us when we had changes to our initial requests. Grand Affairs exceeded our expectations the day of our wedding. Bonnie was the "catering captain." Not only did they set everything up as requested ahead of schedule, they also stepped in to help our florist who was running behind schedule. Bonnie made sure her team was efficient and available when needed. There service was impecable. I can't say enough good things about Grand Affairs.
Both our ceremony and reception were held here. Our banquet service staff was wonderful. So attentive and helpful. And our catering manager helped plan every detail. The only problem with this vendor was a new staff member in charge on the wedding day. She was quite rude and inappropriate. The venue apologized profusely afterwards and I would still recommend them.
I cannot thank enough Jaki, Gordon, Chef, the bartender (go girl!), the waitstaff, even the people who swooped in and set up. This company is THE matter of fact. The service was superb. Every single one of my guests loved the food and complimented it to me. And if you've ever been to weddings, you know that is NEVER true. Chef even came by our venue to do a quality check. I was so impressed with them I cried about it.
Awesome Food!
I used Grand Affairs for both my ceremony and reception. Grand Affairs works with you to plan the wedding you want. They provide a chapel as well as a reception site. You work with a master of ceremonies for the actual ceremony and the reception. The food was great and everything promised was delivered.
Enjoyed myself
I got married over a year. It was the best day ever. My mom and i were looking for the perfect place for us within our budget and we had found it. Grand Affairs was awesome they helped me pick out the perfect menu (which the food was amazing, so tasty). They helped me pick out decor that would make it look amazing that included the beautiful twinkle lights that was over the dance floor. They had even helped my mom on the day of the wedding. She had come in to see how everything was set up and she came to put the flowers on my cake and they ended up doing it for her saying no flowers needed let us take care of it. I didn't have to worry about a thing that night. If i had anything to do they would come and get me. It was a special night and if it wasn't for jackie at Grand Affairs then i wouldn't have had a more beautiful and special evening
