We were planning the wedding from out of state so helped us out by sending pictures and allowing us to come stop by when we were in town/bring our decor in a little early. Having the venue at the hotel was so easy to set up the room block and add our welcome party and rehearsal dinner at Oystercatchers/Oystercatchers pool. Also my getting ready suite was included in the package. There were no hidden or unexpected hidden costs for the entire weekend.
We fell in love with our venue room the second we saw it. The Skylark ballroom on the 14th floor has indoor/outdoor options, has AMAZING views of Tampa Bay and the water, downtown Tampa, and planes flying in from the Airport. All of the serving staff and bartenders were on the ball and attentive. The food was great and the passed horderves and espresso martinis were a hit!
The balcony/rooftop with Skylark can have a bar and tables outside and this was really a hit with all of our guests as we had beautiful weather.
They are very familiar with having weddings here so the team worked seamlessly with my month of coordinator and other vendors. There are also ample rooms and spaces if needed for weather backup options.
Being able to take the elevator up to the room at the end of the night and not have to worry about coordinating transportation was definitely a plus. We had all of our guests join us for a pool day on Sunday. Its a quiet location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It truly was a perfect weekend and venue!

y could offer in terms of quality AND value. Katie is incredible - she's the nicest, most understanding salesperson ever. She was a true rock during our entire planning process. She responds very quickly, is super available, and gets things done. She helped us find creative ways to stay within our budget as well and delivered over the top during our wedding weekend! We had a multi day, multi event blended faith wedding and she and the Grand Hyatt team delivered above and beyond. Hotel is excellent for out of town guests and right next to the airport and beach. Rooms were the cleanest and nicest of all the venues we visited. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

ig day, we were in a panic trying to find a replacement. From the moment we contacted The Grand Hyatt, the staff was incredibly accommodating and reassuring, making the entire process seamless.
The team went above and beyond to make us feel special. Every staff member we interacted with had a smile on their face and maintained a level of professionalism that was truly impressive. I am gluten free and they did everything to make sure I had delicious things to eat. Guests drinks were filled and empty plates were collected within minutes. I really have never seen a better group of staff work a wedding. People couldn’t stop complimenting the service, especially the bartender who remembered guests drinks and even surprised people with drinks they hadn’t had! They handled every detail with care, ensuring that everything went off without a hitch.
We got married on the 14th floor in the Skylark ballroom. The space itself was stunning—elegant, spacious, gorgeous bay views and thoughtfully designed, providing the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the day unfolded.
Thanks to Taylor Blankenship, the event coordinator at The Grand Hyatt, what started as a stressful situation turned into the wedding of our dreams. We are forever grateful for their flexibility, kindness, and exceptional service. They accommodated every request we had. We worked with Katie and her team. From the moment we booked, she reached out and picked up right where Lizzie and I left off as far as planning, details, and scheduling time for us to view the space. She went above and beyond my expectations. The food was amazing, the space facing the bay was stunning, and every detail of my timeline and decor was executed perfectly. She cared about every detail and was there the whole night of my wedding.
The entire staff was welcoming and friendly and all our needs were anticipated and exceeded. My guests had a great time and I would do it all again! Thank you to Lizzie, Katie, and the Hyatt team for the most perfect day!

sed with the property. The location was very convenient for the airport and nightlife. The resort itself provided a wonderful Florida experience, showcasing the water & sunsets. Everyone enjoyed the pools and outdoor amenities.
The reception was wow … wow … wow!! Caitlin, our Event Manger, was fantastic to work with from our initial meeting until the last guest left. She made the process very easy. She was very attentive, communicated well, was very knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. Caitlin and her team worked hard to make sure that every vision my daughter had was obtainable. Caitlin had a good chemistry with our planner which made the entire event run seamlessly.
The food served during the cocktail hour and dinner was great, all our guests complimented it because it did not taste like “wedding food” but more restaurant quality (thank you Chef). The portions were good, no one was left hungry.

They made our daughters special day far better than we could have ever imagined we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.. Everything was perfect. From beginning to end they worked with us and made sure that we were happy with every selection. The staff, the tasting and the food at the wedding were amazing. We still get compliments on how good everything tasted, how pretty the food was displayed. It was an absolute amazing experience. rom the airport, with a free shuttle for out of town guests. They allow outside catering. The wedding coordinator Caitlin was responsive, organized, flexible, and very pleasant to work with. They went above and beyond in their level of service, whether it was instructing their team to practice the specific napkin fold I wanted at the reception, to modifying their brunch package to include turkey sausage instead of pork. Everything went super smoothly on the weekend of because of their experience and professionalism. There were certain things about the price which I wished were different, such as each soda we served costing $6, or parking in the garage having a daily/overnight charge. However, with large luxurious venues, such things are probably to be expected. I would highly recommend purchasing a Sunday brunch package as a nice way for guests to unwind from the wedding weekend festivities and say goodbye, as brunch is hosted at Armani's and the view of the bay is spectacular. Another perk of having my wedding here was getting four free nights at any Hyatt in the world to use for my honeymoon!

r coordinator I had been working with for a while, but she ended up taking a new position almost in the middle of the year, I did not meet Kristi Cowling until July of this year. With the short time of knowing her, and filling her in on everything the other coordinator knew, she pulled off one of the most beautiful nights I have ever witnessed. Thank you Kristi for dealing with my millions of questions and little details! The entire staff did above and beyond of what they were asked to do! All of our guests have continued to tell us how amazing the food was and what a great time they all had. The views are spectacular, you can't beat this place!

sque. The coordinator for the hotel, Marianna, was wonderful to work with. She is very organized and helped keep me on schedule as well. The tasting held for our menu was very professional and reassured us our food would be perfect for the wedding. Marianna also helped coordinate a rehersal and was onsite the day of the wedding to ensure all the vendors and wedding party knew where to go and what time. Basically if you book at the Hyatt you do not need a wedding coordinator!! Armani's was great alternative to a ballroom, it provides bay views and downtown skyline of Tampa. There is a great patio area guest can float in between there and the restaurant. The only downside is only available on Sundays. All of our guests truely enjoyed their stay at the hotel as well, just make sure to reserve enough rooms because the hotel sold out quickly and some of my guests had to stay at nearby hotels. If I had to start all over and replan a wedding I would select the Grand Hyatt no questions asked!

The venue was gorgeous and the food was actually the best wedding/banquet food I've had! t only available for use on Sundays because the restaurant is open the rest of the week. And there's only space for about 100 guests max.
That being said it was like a dream. We had our ceremony on the newly revamped balcony, then guests spent cocktail hour in the bar/lounge area and dinner was served in the main dining area. The raised middle portion of the restaurant was converted into a dance floor. We added minimal decorations because the restaurant itself is already beautifully and elegantly decorated, not to mention the view of the sunset over the bay from the 14th floor is breath taking.
The staff and service were excellent. Our coordinator Mariana was so sweet and just extremely good at what she does. She made organizing everything seem effortless. When we went to taste our menu the chef came out to tell us about every dish and how it was prepared like we were on an episode of Top Chef (and the food was SO GOOD). And one of the servers who helped us at the tasting was so nice we joked that she should work the wedding too. I was so happy when she not only actually came to work at the wedding but looked after me and my bridal party specifically and seemed really happy to be there.
We had looked at a lot of other venues and this was the best value to us for the quality and completeness of service for the cost.

it staff during dinner was very courteous and polite. The same staff who also did the rehearsal were very helpful and attentive to all of our guests needs. We had a kosher wedding and the food was delicious! We recieved so many compliments! We had the ceremony outside on the Oystercatchers deck and it made for beautiful scenery and AMAZING pictures. Honestly, the gorgeous views and pictures we got from the dock, nature walk and gazebo are priceless. Our pictures are beautiful.

ry convienent staying there. They treated the entire bridal party like celebrities the whole weekend. The only bad thing about the rooms is that a standard room has no refrigerator. We did our ceremony on the waterfront by Oystercatchers and it was beautiful. We did the reception inside in one of the ballrooms. They have a shuttle service that can drive everyone back and forth. Everyone LOVED the food too. There tons of places on the grounds to take beautiful wedding pictures. Alexis, their events coordinator, is a delight to work with. Everyone at the reception was talking about how great the wait staff was. We had an amazing day, and I am so glad we chose the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay as our wedding site!!
