We are so happy that we chose Grand Hyatt Vail for our wedding venue! The location is absolutely stunning, with a ceremony backdrop of the beautiful gore creek and aspen-filled mountainside. Sarah, the event coordinator is beyond incredible. She was so helpful every step of the planning process and truly did so much to ensure that our day was absolutely perfect. We had to make some quick, day of changes due to the weather and she was very involved and on top of helping with this process. Despite having other weddings to manage as well, she was still very attentive and helpful. Our experience at Grand Hyatt Vail was overall very positive and so much of that had to do with Sarah. She was a true joy to work with! If you are planning a Colorado mountain wedding, we highly recommend Grand Hyatt Vail. Our wedding was perfect and we are so happy we chose them as our venue!
First let me say, the venue and hotel are gorgeous and our guests did enjoy themselves. However, had we not had a coordinator and a spectacular florist, I am unsure how the day would have gone.
Much of our wedding planning stress came exclusively from the Grand Hyatt and their lack of resources and desire to prioritize their clients and follow through on promises made.
A few examples include:
*An overbooked hotel that resulted in our necessity to rebook our wedding date so guests could access hotel rooms. In exchange for this major undertaking on our end, many promises were made and few materialized.
*Lines at cocktail hour, despite this being one of our main concerns to avoid.
*A dance floor in "the tent" that was chipped and unattractive along with a promise that it would be spray-washed and stained in preparation for our event that never was.
*Dinner that came out excruciatingly long after the salad
*A Hyatt sales wedding contact that was spread so thin, with little to no support, we found it difficult to reach her throughout the wedding day and during the planning process.
I will say the venue is stunning and with all the support we brought in, we had a BEAUTIFUL wedding, but the unnecessary stress and lack of support and staff for the price that is paid, is very concerning. They will tell you everything you want to hear, but be careful, I would never use this venue without a coordinator, floral decor team etc, which is totally what they count on.
We are so grateful to have worked with the Grand Hyatt Vail. We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party with them and it was so beautiful. The food was delicious, the ambiance, and set up of our dinner table and buffet was perfect. We were able to meet with them multiple times before the wedding as well and see the space. It was truly enjoyable to work with them all. Our room block during the weekend was held here as well, as well as my husband and I's wedding suite. We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful weekend. We would especially like to thank Sarah who worked closely with us, bringing it to life.
Thank you all so, so much.
I cannot say enough great things about the Grand Hyatt Vail. We had my daughter's wedding there as well as the rehearsal dinner. It was perfection. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Emily Block was absolutely wonderful and answered our multitude of questions in a timely manner for the entire 9 months of planning. I would have another event here in a heartbeat!
We just got home from our AMAZING wedding weekend at the Grand Hyatt Vail. I could not speak higher of this venue and the staff. The hotel was recently renovated and feels completely luxury from the moment you walk in. We hosted two events (Welcome Reception and Wedding) and the food/service at both were spectacular. Shoot out to Melly our amazing bartender who had the best attitude and remembered everyone's drink orders! Our guest couldn't stop talking about the short ribs and everything they tasted. The whole team at this hotel (front desk, valet, housekeeping, event planning group, food/beverage) went above and beyond with our every request. We really felt like we got to know them and they were happy to help us celebrate this important moment in your life. I have literally no complaints. My only wish is that I could do it all over again exactly how they did it!
We stayed here the night before and of the wedding. They were extremely helpful. The property was very lovely. We had an excellent stay.
Vail cascade was a beautiful place to get married. We used the outdoor mountain patio. Lindsay was the wedding coordinator who was wonderful to work with and made our experience perfect.
We used the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa as the resort for our guests to stay at and the venue for our rehearsal dinner. We had the privilege of working with Lindsay, the hotels wedding planner who was very organized and on top of everything during our wedding weekend! Our guests raved about the hotel service and beautiful views from the guest rooms. Our rehearsal dinner was on the Creekside deck, surrounded by the beautiful Aspen trees, Gore Creek, and the Cascade fire pit! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Best experience!
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Lindsay at the Vail Cascade Resort. Lindsay was such an incredible resource to us throughout the wedding planning process. In the months leading up to our wedding, she was able to give us recommendations on local vendors that I greatly appreciated, especially given my limited time and resources. She asked questions to get a strong sense of what we envisioned for our wedding and did an amazing job of pulling everything together for us. Lindsay made sure that our wedding day was stress-free and that everything was taken care of for us. For instance, by the time we returned to our hotel room after our reception and after-party, we found all of the gifts that our guests had brought for us, as well as our guest book, the top tier of our cake, reception decorations we'd brought, etc. all packed up and waiting for us. Beyond that, Lindsay made our wedding weekend even more spectacular by accenting it with unexpected enhancements such as a complimentary bottle of champagne and delicious chocolate-covered strawberries, a free buffet breakfast, and a gift certificate for a free 2-night stay at the resort. We are so grateful to her and her coworkers at the Vail Cascade for making our wedding such a perfect memory for us and our guests!
It was great to have a location in Vail with a connection to the mountain, great amenities and a place fore everyone to stay. The wedding itself was great. the food however, was apparently overcooked according to our guests.
This venue was amazing! From the beautiful setting to the delicious food Vail Cascade was an outstanding place for a wedding. They offer customized wedding packages to fit your needs. They provided an event coordinator that was able to help with every aspect of the wedding day; not to mention able to make recommendations for pre-wedding events.
We were on top of Vail Mountain with the most beautiful views possible. The food was outstanding and the staff as well. It could not have been more beautiful.;Difficult to travel to (gondola up the mountain and then a people mover over the mountain slopes to the reception site). However very well worth it. It could have been an issue if the weather was bad but it was perfect.
