My husband and I had our wedding reception at Targhee and it was absolutely perfect. Targhee took care of a ton of the heavy lifting that really made it possible for us to enjoy the day. From food, to decor, to helping plan out the day, Madi and Evan and their team made the day run seamlessly. The food was excellent and the bar was fully stocked. Plus the venue was perfect for all the kids we attending. They were able to run around outside and really enjoy roasting s'mores at the reception. It was great to share one of our favorite places on Earth with all our friends and family and the team at Targhee made that possible.
My wife and I got married here just back in June and had the best experience.
First, the resort was perfect for a destination wedding. The little village was a perfect place for all our friends and family to meet and hang out over the course of the weekend. The lodging was perfect for what we needed and there is quite a bit to do at the resort and in the surrounding area so nobody was bored.
The wedding festivities were awesome! We had the rehearsal dinner and welcome party in the Trap Bar and it was a riot. The bartenders absolutely killed it, especially because our little welcome party ended up being a pretty big rager at the bar. But the bartenders kept everyone's drinks full and all our guests had a blast.
The wedding itself was AMAZING. We got lucky with the weather, but the day of the wedding was so low stress for me and my wife...Madi and her team handled everything including putting up the decorations and pictures we brought. It allowed us to spend the day with friends and family and getting ready which we really appreciated. The lawn where they host the wedding ceremony is beautiful and then right after you have cocktail hour right there on the deck and lawn. Later you funnel down to the tent for the reception which is tucked away in the beautiful Aspen trees. And last, we were able to rent the Trap Bar after the reception for a little after party to keep the party going. Also, the food was amazing!
They offer so much as part of their wedding package (food, lodging, decorations, desserts, beverages) it makes planning a breeze. Also, it’s so much more affordable than the Jackson Hole valley.
We had multiple people tell us how much fun they had, how pretty the venue was, and how good the food was. Highly recommended for a wedding!
Can't wait to come back and ski and mountain bike for some weekend trips in the future.
Cheers and thanks to Madi and the entire events and catering crew for absolutely killing it!
We had our whole wedding weekend (welcome event, ceremony and reception) at Targhee over Labor Day weekend 2022 and it was everything we could have asked for!
The events team is so on top of it and if you aren't one to angst over every piece of decor they have everything you could want! They make planning and executing the event a breeze.
The food was fantastic, and our guests commented on how much they loved the relaxed vibe of the whole resort and enjoyed having everything in one central location.
We seriously can't recommend Targhee enough!
Any questions?
Our daughter married here July 9, 2022. It was as close to perfect as possible. Lots of outdoor activities for kids and adults during downtimes. The team at Targhee was friendly, professional, efficient and expedient. The scenery was breathtaking and made for a beautiful backdrop for a wedding and for photos. If we had another daughter we would do it here again!
The Grand Targhee Resort was the perfect place to hold our wedding. They are able to accommodate ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and lodging all in one area which made it so easy for our guests to have a relaxed trip. They also take care of the set up and tear down of decorations which is a huge relief for family and the couple trying to enjoy their big day. They give a complimentary room to the couple the night of the wedding as well. Not to mention, the views at the top of the mountain were breathtaking. Amanda and the crew at Grand Targhee went above and beyond for our wedding, even packaging us up extra food and cake for after the wedding. The accommodations made our day easy and enjoyable. We cannot think of a better place to hold a wedding at.
We got married here in July of 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Suzanne and her team handled the situation expertly and professionally, and worked with us every step of the way. As a result, or wedding was absolutely beautiful. You can't get a better deal on a more beautiful location!
We hosted the entirety of our wedding events at Grand Targhee and everything about it was absolutely wonderful! The rehearsal dinner was done at the T-Bar, photos were done at the summit, the wedding ceremony was held behind Teewinot lodge facing a beautiful view of the mountains, the reception was below the ceremony location in a tent in an aspen grove with a fire pit outside, the after party was at T-Bar, and the morning after brunch was at the Branding Iron. Steph was wonderful in getting us set up and comfortable as we were looking at Targhee as our possible venue and Suzanne spent the next year answering our questions and helping to reassure us that we were on track and everything was good to go as we narrowed in to the date. The food was great for each of the events and having everyone there all weekend helped make our medium sized event more intimate and allowed us to spend as much time as possible with our guests. The Targhee staff helped make our wedding day, easily, the best day of my life. I can honestly say that it couldn't have gone any better and will be talked about by friends and family for years to come.

Thank you for your kind review and choosing Grand Targhee to share your special weekend. It was a blast that you two embraced our Octoberfest event and went all out! Visit soon :)
Lovely resort for a small wedding. We had a tubing party before the rehearsal dinner, photos on the top of the mountain before the ceremony, and a s'mores bar outside for dessert. The food was excellent and the staff so friendly. I'd highly recommend this venue. Price was very reasonable given the quality of the experience.
Suzanne & the rest of the staff at Grand Targhee made the wedding day relaxing and fun. This was a destination wedding- so it is impressive they were able to keep everyone chill. Myself (bride) and a group of the other adventurous female guests opted out of a spa-like day and hiked up Fred Mountain and did yoga at the top with views of the Teton Range. Such a great way to relax and center myself before the wedding. After the ceremony we had a great time at the tent behind the Teewinot Lodge. It was MORE than enough space for our 50 or so guests. All of our guests are still going on about it being the best & most beautiful wedding they have attended. Food was almost as good as the views. We had salmon and rob eye.
We had our wedding at Grand Targhee on March 24, 2017 and it was BEYOND what we could have every asked for. When we visited the venue they mentioned that they don't typically do winter weddings, however Sarah Hartman did everything she could to make our hopes for a winter wedding possible. We ended up having the ceremony on the back porch of the Teewinot Lodge with the mountains in the background and renting out the Trap Bar for our reception. The resort has so much character and was the perfect place to host an intimate wedding and a hoppin reception. I was blown away about the hospitality of everyone at Grand Targhee, especially Sarah. They made our day run so smoothly and created the perfect atmosphere for skiing and gathering our loved ones. I couldn't recommend Grand Targhee more and can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. There was so much for our guests to do and with lodging and venues so close together, it was easy for everyone to kick back and have a good time. Best weekend of our lives by far!
I can barely begin to explain how wonderful our recent wedding was at Grand Targhee Resort. From start (months and months ago) to finish, the staff at the resort was helpful, resourceful and willing to work within our budget. Every single employee that my wedding party and I ran into offered any help that they could give - even the staff cleaning the bathrooms! They made us feel like we were the only people at the resort and took care of all of the little details that I was worried about such as setting up our decorations at the reception. As with any wedding planning, we had a few "hiccups" along the way, and the wedding coordinator was always immediately available to help offer up alternative ideas and to remind me not to get too stressed about things. It was also so fun that all of our guests could stay right at the resort to celebrate our special day! My husband and I absolutely loved getting married at Grand Targhee, we wished it would have never ended, and we wouldn't change a single thing! A sincerely deep thank you to all of the incredible staff at GTR!
Not only was this location beautiful and spectacular, I can't say enough about Tim and his staff. From day one, Tim was nothing but helpful and kind. He sat with both me and my husband multiple times to go through what we wanted. We got to have a taste of the food during one of our visits, and it was some of the most delicious food I've ever had. We chose the fajita option, and we had a fruit and meat and cheese platter before dinner.
We had around 130 guests for the wedding, and we had live music at the ceremony and the reception. They accommodated our musicians well, and they even let them play at the bar after the ceremony.
Tim had everything arranged for us, and he even made sure that the lady doing our cake had everything she needed (a space in the freezer was most important and they went out of their way to make it happen). He was so patient with everyone who attended, and listened with an open heart and a serving will when things got a little crazy right before the ceremony. The service they provided was perfect, and they provided the champaign for everyone.
For the price, service, and accomodations this site provides, I wouldn't have my wedding at any other location. All of my guests were so happy, and Jeremy and I had an amazing day.
There were so many other things that Tim did for us, and I wish I ahd time to write everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you Tim and your amazing staff. This day was everything we ever dreamed of!
I recently got married in Victor, Idaho, as a destination wedding. We held our welcome BBQ/wedding rehearsal dinner at the Grand Targhee Ski Resort. The service and the venue far surpassed our expectations! It was a dream come true.
The new banquet and group coordinator, Tim Rock, went above and beyond the call of duty to help make our welcome bbq the perfect night for ourselves and our 100 guests. It was the extra effort by Tim and their staff that made the night so special.
Just a few examples, Tim personally made sure that the tables all had matching burlap table runners (which fit our theme perfectly!). He organized music throughout the dinner (courtesy of a hand-picked western playlist), and made sure that we had an amazing bonfire the entire dinner. We also enjoyed beautiful hand-picked wildflowers centerpieces (thank you Beth!). Tim is beyond question, the best group coordinator that I've ever worked with.
On top of it all, we had several special allergies and Tim worked with chef to provide allergy-friendly sides. The food was delicious. Our guests raved about it for days afterwards!
I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an amazing place to celebrate a special occasion!
We wanted a wedding in the mountains and there was not a better option. Could you imagine better than having your wedding in grove of trees with leaves changing colors for autumn, the tetons in the background, and a beautiful venue all to yourself? Not to mention our food, it was definitely the best, I couldnt have asked for more. And melanie, the site's wedding coordinator was amazing, she went above and beyond
The Grand Teton Resort is amazing! It was so easy to plan our wedding when almost everything--the venue, reception, food, flowers, and bridal suite--was planned at the same time and with the same person. Everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful, and most people went out of their way to help us with anything and everything we could think of.
