GrandStay Hotel & Conference Apple Valley is a beautiful venue and amazing rooms. Gwen was wonderful to work with and I would love to have had her by my side for all aspects of wedding planning. She knew what she was talking about and was SO kind and understanding with making our day exactly what we hoped for. Every time we left a meeting we walked out less stressed and more excited for our big day! She was amazing in answering nonstop email questions no matter how random. Any issue our guests had with booking, she took care of personally as soon as it was brought to her attention. The food was amazing however it did run out and the gluten free meal was not ready so my grandfather did not get food until everyone at his table was done. The food issues were made right however it was stressful during the reception. We had SO many compliments on the hotel rooms and how nice they were, most of our guests were from out of town and stayed all weekend and were very comfortable. The only room issue was the only handicap room in our block was placed on the top floor and the power went out therefore the elevator was not available at the time guests were leaving for the wedding.
The only other issue we ran into was with the bar. We were convinced to have less alcohol than our gut told us and sure enough we ran out very early. Again, it was made up to us by Celts staff as luckily they had more of what we ordered on hand and brought it to the reception.
Our favorite part about choosing GrandStay for our reception & hotel venue (besides Gwen ) is that we were able to set up on Friday afternoon and we had the room Sunday for packing up decor and held gift opening there.
Gwen also had wonderful suggestions for vendors we had not hired yet such as a decorator which was extremely helpful and affordable!
I would recommend GrandStay to future couples!
Gwen was great
It's been a month since my daughters wedding and I am still getting feedback from our guests! The venue was great, the food was good, and we all had a lot of fun celebrating the bride and groom. As the mother of the bride, I worked closely with Gwen on all the plans. She was fantastic! She put me at ease, was flexible and made herself available. The venue looked beautiful and everything went smoothly. I would recommend this venue to everyone. We blocked rooms for our guests and the hotel was great to work with.
What an amazing experience! Gwen was a big help through out the process but in the final week, willing to go above and beyond for me. I had no stress with her help. I knew she would get any request done. Also very resonable price to rent out the entire space. I would highly recommend this space for ceremony/reception combo for smaller weddings. One place and no driving. Thank you again!

This is a beautiful, relatively inexpensive facility to have a wedding reception in. The room has everything you would need. While the capacity can fit 200 people, I only had 150 plus a DJ and Photo booth. I didn't feel like we were over-crowded. Also the coordinator, Laura, is great to work with. She was always willing to help with anything that we needed. She was available to me either through phone, text or email. On the wedding day, she and her team had everyone coordinated so well that there were no issues when my husband and I arrived. Everyone said that it was a great time!
Having our Reception at The Grand Stay Hotel was AMAZING! Laura was phenomenal to work with! She responded to emails almost instantaneously, she definitely went above and beyond! He had advice for us on caterers, florists and many other details. She was very flexible in meeting with my husband and I during the planning process. She was amazing during the reception, too! I never felt like I had to worry about anything relating to the reception or the room block! She had everything under control!
SO many of our out of town guests LOVED the hotel rooms too! They were extremely comfortable and they were an amazing value for the money! I had at least 10 guests come up to me and say "Thank you for choosing such a great venue! This has been a treat for us."

My husband and I got married at the LaGrand Conference center in Apple Valley and I could not have been more happy with how the entire day turned out. The event coordinator is Laura and she is AMAZING! Seriously this woman has the best personality! Very understanding and kind, and passionate about her work. I tend to be very OCD when it comes to decorating and workspaces and I watched her go behind everything that was done to verify complete perfection. The simplicity of the venue set up is perfect for guests, the rooms of the hotel are beautiful and have everything a person could need. The entire staff was so helpful the day of the wedding and kept everything going throughout the night. I am so glad I chose this venue for our big day. It is reasonably priced, beautiful and the staff are one in a million making our day one we will never forget.
We had our reception here, and Laura made it so easy! Everything went smoothly, it was all ready and set up according to our plan and we couldn't have been happier! Plus, when your guests have too much to drink, they can just walk upstairs to their hotel rooms and not have to drive anywhere! Rooms are all suites with separate bedroom with a living room and kitchen. Pull out couch included, so each one bedroom fits 4!

Close to the reception venue and good price. They also had a shuttle bus that went back and forth from the hotel to the reception.
We used the Grandstay for all our wedding guests and family, and we stayed for New Year's eve (the night after our wedding). There are hide-a-beds in the rooms, so we were able to accommodate a few last minute guests. The rooms were comfortable, and we loved having a kitchenette.
I have nothing but good things to say about this venue!
The GrandStay was the perfect place for my wedding because it was affordable and absolutely gorgeous! WHen I first saw the room completely set up I was in awe I could not believe we were sticking to our budget and the atmosphere was amazing! Not to mention the event coordinator, Laura, was very helpful and the hotel manager was able to help with room blocks and other issues and were very prompt at returning messages and answering questions. I could not have asked for more on my wedding day!
