Grandview Vineyard

t like a bridal shower. We understood going in that we only had 30 minutes to set up, and we planned accordingly. However, from the start, we felt rushed and unwelcome. When a couple of my guests went inside to order wine simply not knowing the process, they were told, rather harshly, to stay on the side we rented. It wasn’t just what was said, it was the tone, and it immediately shifted the energy. We also asked if we could pay for extra time since the space was nearly empty and there were no other guests at the time. We were told no, because “it would get busy around 3 PM,” but that never actually happened. It felt like there was zero effort to be flexible or accommodating, which was disappointing. As for the $300 wine minimum, we were aware of it and appreciated the staff giving us updates as we got close to that number, since we were trying to be mindful not to go too far over. We did end up exceeding it once gratuity was added, which was totally fine. What didn’t sit right was the overall energy felt like they were just ready for our event to be over, or maybe frustrated that we were being conscious about our spending. Either way, it made us feel unwelcome during what should have been a special, celebratory moment. To top it off, some of my guests overheard staff speaking poorly about us while waiting to use the restroom. That was incredibly unprofessional and really upsetting. We put so much love and effort into this shower, and while it started off beautifully, the way we were treated by the end left a bad taste. This could have been such a perfect day. But the lack of warmth, flexibility, and professionalism from the staff affected not just me, but my guests too and that’s something I won’t forget.

utdoor vibes. We had 125 guests and felt like that was the perfect number for the space. We also got married on a rainy day that turned sunny right before the ceremony. Our venue contact was super supportive and flexible throughout the whole day. We felt good about both the indoor and outdoor ceremony options. Everyone we worked with was helpful, accommodating, and pleasant. We appreciated the opportunity to do a wine tasting prior to the event. The getting ready spaces are smaller than some other venues we’ve seen (guys room is very small), but we didn’t mind!

to go over. Grandview had exactly what we wanted and fell in love. After touring the property and seeing various amount of pictures, we knew that Grandview was the place we wanted to tue the knot. They were a pleasure to work with from booking, all the way to the day of. Our last point of contact was Priscilla, and I am truly thankful that she was so calm and sweet, and allowed me to ask all my questions and helped to give me an insight "in case" it rained. But thank goodness our wedding day was perfect. If you need a venue that is reasonably priced, and has amazing views and options in the cove for the ceremony, Grandview is your go too!

groom getting reading spaces/bathrooms made a huge difference. The weather was perfect and everything was just beautiful! We did have a switch of coordinator after our booking and found that their new venue coordinator was not very pleasant to work with, but she mostly just stayed out of our way thankfully. We also ended up renting heaters which was a little bit of a hassle, but I would highly recommend the addition for fall/winter. Overall, we had a great experience and couldn't have asked for more!

our big day at Grandview. The cove was a gorgeous space of natural beauty that was perfect for our ceremony. The covered open air reception offered a nice blank canvas that truly allows you to put your own design and detail to the space. We had roughly 110 guests stay for dinner and it was quite comfortable. If there would have been more than 8ppl at a table, table seating would have been uncomfortable and the space would have been tight too. Being a person of honesty, we did unfortunately experience a few things the day of and these would be the reason for my rating. In the late morning there was still well drilling going on, however it did stop before our ceremony which started at 2:30pm. Around 2:00pm when guests started to arrive was too the time the Wedding party experienced toilet issues. Soon after no running water at the sinks in the bathrooms which was an inconvenience for wedding party getting ready. We were told that portable restrooms would arrive by 4pm, they only arrived and were setup ready for guest use by 6pm! With bathrooms unavailable, our guests could not use a clean facility throughout cocktail hour/dinner. This caused quite a bit of stress, inconvenience and a bit of embarrassment for the Grooms who were hosting and their guests had to either hold it or use a dirty stall over a span of 4 hours! The venue having known they experienced similar issues in the past as well as in the process of drilling a well the day of, you would think would have been more prepared with an immediate action backup plan. No sincere apology for the inconvenience in the days to follow was received and when we wrote to the venue to provide honest feedback, they still haven't addressed or apologized for the issue. We were pleased with the alcohol package and options. The bartenders provided excellent service to the Grooms, however when it came to the guests we were told by guests that the service was reported as "unfriendly and unwelcoming", as if the staff was there simply to do a job rather than serve guests. Additionally when one groomswoman asked for a drink for one of the Grooms 5 mins before the ceremony, she was denied and told to speak with the Coordinator, who, at the moment was up at the tasting room and the staff claimed that they were not able to contact the Coordinator either. Additionally the bartenders did not like serving soda to our 21 and older non-drinking guests which was a shocker when we even paid for every guests 21+ as required by the drink package. Feedback for the venue - we thought a courtesy and kind gesture (that is cheap) would be free water in the dressing rooms upon arrival, we certainly would have appreciated it. Future couples bring drinks for the rooms including water because the bartenders won't have that either, that is provided by your cater and our cater wasn't setup yet upon our arrival. Last, a few minor adjustments had to be made upon our arrival the day of which we were told would be done and in place. We would recommend that you include time prior to your arrival the day of to walk the spaces beforehand if you are not setting up the day of, which we did not. Aside from these points, we again were grateful to have been able to hold our wedding and celebrate with so many family and friends at Grandview.

on space is a blank slate and you can decorate it as much or as little as you desire. You will need to use outside vendors for linens, draping, music and anything else you will need or want. Out of all the event spaces we saw, this was by far the most affordable. Due to another wedding being the night before, we did have to have our rehearsal on Thursday, we were told this in advance at our meeting, but be aware that this may happen to you and plan accordingly. We really enjoyed our wedding. We went with the open bar which I think is a great and affordable option if you have a lot of drinkers in attendance. THE WINE IS AMAZING (one of the number one highlights of this venue.) The toilets stopped flushing at some point during the night, which was because of the well drying up. I did not know about this at the time of the wedding, but my mother and several of my guests could not use the restrooms down at the reception space due to this. The owners and staff are all very friendly. We will continue to come to visit when we are in town (wish we lived closer!)

e summer, which was a bummer because the venue does not have air conditioning anywhere other than the dressing rooms. However, our guests made do by staying in the shade, of which there was plenty. Additionally, partway through our reception the water shut off at the pavilion, but staff was able to get it running again in an hour. The venue is incredibly versatile and can fit whatever style a couple wants. We love our earthy photos, and have seen beautiful photos of couples who had a more classic vibe to their wedding. Overall, the venue was the perfect fit for us, and we would recommend it to anyone looking to have a beautiful outdoor wedding!

r growlers or beers and she didn’t bring them until 2 hours later after being asked for them. Instead, she decided to show a potential bride the venue while we were getting ready and allowed her to look into the dressing room while we were getting ready. It was not very personable on the most special day of your life. Also, at the end of the wedding, she was blowing out candles before the wedding the reception was over. She also asked my fiancé, who was not in the grooms party to rudely clean up the grooms suite by throwing him a trash bag. She also expected the bridal party to clean up all of our garbage with the office sized trash can provided and gave attitude when asked for a trash bag. Kelsey even made the bride’s mom feel uncomfortable because she was so rude. Basically, Kelsey was more concerned with the next bride to be, than the one who already paid thousands to have her special day. Also, don’t even bother spending the money on an open bar because their alcohol is watered down or doesn’t even taste like what you ordered. A gin and tonic taste like tequila. Throughout the night multiple people said the same thing. I also thought it was strange that each bottle of liquor opened was a new brand and not kept consistent. Overall, the venue itself was gorgeous but the main downfall was the wedding coordinator, Kelsey Gibbons, who made the day less than wonderful.

space as they did not have the set up picture, but it turned out to be beautifully decorated. The venue worked with our vendors very well. The bridal party getting ready space was pretty small for the men but good sized for the women. The venue coordinator was nice and helpful.

outdoor ceremony in the shade!! Grandview was able to accommodate both perfectly! It’s pretty much a blank slate which is perfect for couples who love DIY! Communication with Kelsey was clear and prompt! She even helped me days before in my “floral crisis” with suggestions for places out there! We were told many times how beautiful and fun our wedding was!! We can’t wait to come back to Grandview to reminisce! Thanks for providing a lovely space for our wedding!

ightforward. The wine itself is a local favorite and quite honestly one of the better in the surrounding area. We had been able to have open communication and answers to all our questions. We really have had a great experience so far and cannot wait till the wedding.

I’m very thankful that the venue cost of the coordinator like Kelsey who is very personable prompt with answers and very friendly to not only myself and my future husband but so excited that we are able to hold our wedding at a beautiful place with the best wedding coordinator Kelsey. She has been very prompt with questions concerns and has even helped me calm my nerves is our big day approaches! r relaxed wedding. The reception space is simple which is perfect to create your own vision for how you want your party to look like. The view of the vineyard in the background is a huge bonus. There is a field that we are able to get sunset pictures in as well. The venue space definitely sells itself and is affordable. They added a grooms room and bridal suite which the space was amazing to have. This year with the new addition of bathrooms was very accommodating for our guests. Kelsey is the wedding coordinator for grandview. She responded quickly to our concerns or questions. She was very informative about the venue and gave good advice for decorating the reception space and the flow of the wedding day. She was great at reminding us about the policies and procedures for the venue as well. My wedding was absolutely everything I had dreamed it would be thanks to Grandview Vineyard for supplying such a beautiful venue option!!! :-)

I feel inclined to tell other brides that the wedding coordinator was very difficult to work with. She was timely in her responses to questions, but frequently gave an attitude whenever she had the chance. For example, during an in person meeting, my mom brought up a concern about people climbing ladders to remove decorations at the end of the night after people have had a few drinks (because you have to have everything removed by 11 pm). The coordinator’s response was “Well, that’s your problem now isn’t it.” I could think of a million other ways that could have been said that did not include attitude. I'm not sure if it’s an issue of the venue or the coordinator, but they have a very "vague" contract and seemed to make up rules as we got closer to planning final details. The coordinator informed us on our tour that we could have our rehearsal the day before our wedding (like you normally would) as long as there wasn't a wedding on that Friday. As our wedding approached, the only time she could offer was Thursday in the afternoon AND there was no wedding on Friday. She reminded us that it was not a guaranteed to have our rehearsal on a Friday (but did not give a good reason as to why). She did eventually come around when we told her most of our wedding party and our officiant were coming from out of town and arriving early Friday. It just seemed like unnecessary stress that we shouldn't have been dealing with. In addition, we asked to set-up for 2 hours on Friday to alleviate some stress on Saturday and she said that was fine, but it took away 2 hours from our rental time on Saturday morning (THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING!!!). When we questioned her about it (because it’s not in the contract), she said, "this is a convenience to you -- if you want to follow the contract, you don't have to come at all on Friday.” While the venue is reasonably priced, I feel very strongly that if you are paying a decent amount of money to a venue, they should be accommodating to you. This certainly did not feel like the case at all. All of that being said, I would choose this venue in a heartbeat if they made some decent changes. Their wine is incredible and all of my interactions with the owners and their staff were positive.

what we got, and the setting was just perfect for a simple but elegant ceremony and reception. Unfortunately we were not able to have our ceremony in the beautiful cove due to mud, but it ended up being almost as lovely on the lawn in front of the treeline! The only negatives I can think of is that the event must end at 9PM (not their fault, just the township noise ordinance), and the fact that you're responsible for cleaning up everything right after the event. Luckily we had enough people to help it go smoothly and quickly! All in all, a fantastic venue! I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

tiful and because our wedding was in July, the shade was perfect! It rained the day of our wedding, thanksfully it held off until after the ceremony. But the canopy of trees blocked the few drops that came down anyways- either way it’s a win win. Also, you will get beautiful pictures every time! The only downside- during the wedding planning months, the wedding coordinator we had originally booked the venue with had resigned and a new one was put into place. That transition caused several miscommunications between the staff and I, leading to unnecessary stress the day before the wedding. Overall, My husband and I had an amazing day and created so many memories. I definitely would recommend this facility!

ter are telling us how beautiful the venue was! Our wedding was the week of all the crazy flooding in central PA. They worked around the clock that week to make sure the ceremony area was clean and ready to use! The staff was so very helpful and it helps that they have a variety of good wine! I would recommend the venue to anyone looking for a vineyard wedding!

o how breathtaking the landscape already is. It is a peaceful, intimate setting to say "I do!" The pavilion also offers a wonderful reception location to get the party started, and help everyone to have a laid back, fun time eating and dancing the night away! The wine is divine, and Kristin the vineyard coordinator is very punctual, helpful, knowledgeable with all the vineyard details, and very sweet and kind as well! If I redid my wedding, I still would choose this place every time! :)

being said, we had such amazing weather at an absolutely beautiful location!!! We first went to look at the venue in February when there was snow on the ground, and it looked good then, so we knew it would only look better come the fall. We were not disappointed!! The owners were busy updating the venue in the months before the wedding and all of their hard work paid off. The cove area got an update with a cleaned up creek bed, new flowers planted, and cement pavers laid out to make a path once crossing the bridge. The pavilion area where our reception was held got a new canvas covering and a concrete stamped floor. Kristin, the wedding coordinator, was very helpful and answered all of my questions in a timely manner! She helped with the set up of chairs at the ceremony site and tables in the reception area so that when we got there for the rehearsal and set-up, it was one less thing to worry about! She was on-site the entire event and helped keep things running smoothly with timing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience from everyone at The Vineyard at Grandview! Thank you to everyone there who made our wedding day special!

ed on how lovely it was. We used the cove as our ceremony area - we got married across the creek in the gazebo. We had hanging ball jars with flowers and candles everywhere. The reception area and yard are wonderful, as well. We had the whole yard filled with different yard games and had an old popcorn maker for guests to have along with the rest of the appetizers and refreshments. The vineyards this time of year are beautiful and full - perfect for photos. We lucked out on the weather for August. We had a 4pm ceremony and the weather was partly cloudy (great for pictures!) and around 80 degrees. No humidity. For Pennsylvania - that's unheard of! While this is the prettiest venue around (Trust me, I looked at everything) there was one very minor drawback - but with it being a very new venue, I'm sure it's something that can and will be worked out as they have more weddings there. That was having to have all trash out that night. If I could make a suggestion, it would be (if there are no weddings the next day) - allow the wedding party to have until noon the next day to clean up everything. We all went from a complete happy high from the whole day to rushing to get things in different vehicles and completely cleaned out (unfortunately, some items were lost in the dark while we cleaned up). But that would be my only suggestion. The venue is BEAUTIFUL, their wine and champagne is some of the best I've had and the staff is all very helpful. We wouldn't have changed a thing :)

appier to have had the opportunity to hold our ceremony in such a beautiful location and take amazing photos in the vineyard area. My only complaint is that I wish the vineyards wedding coordinator would have done a better job of organizing everything. During our rehearsal there was no real guidance or help with how and where everyone was supposed to go. I know that she is new to the job, but it would have been helpful to have someone who took charge of the situation and made us feel that everything was under control on the day of our wedding. Instead, we were really doing most of the managing ourselves. Overall, the wedding was beautiful and our guests had nothing but positive things to say. It was a perfect day!

he perfect setting for the kind of relaxed outdoor wedding we wanted. They were flexible and didn't mind that we wanted gamble with the weather and try having the dinner on the lawn even though they had never done it that way before. Many of our guests commented on how much they loved being in such a beautiful place "away from it all." It was a truly magical day. They also have excellent wine! I am so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Vineyard at Grandview and I would highly recommend it.
