f you’re looking for simple designs or are willing to spend more time talking to a staff person about other options, you likely will find the rentals you’re looking for at a good price. Take that their website is a bit clunky and shows a fairly limited array of options. The staff we worked with were friendly and easy to get in touch with. At our walk-through at the venue, they brought samples of linens to help us choose between colors, and they helped us measure out how many light strands we’d need to rent.
My wedding has been cancelled due to covid19, I want other brides to know DO NOT WORK with Larry the owner!!! Larry recommend I should use my chair rentals for a super bowl party. Let me tell you I’m less than 30 days from contract(April 11th) I can receive 50% cash back of what I’ve paid or keep my credit with them. All vendors have provided full refunds for us! With what’s going on, I would like to donate those funds to a local charity or food bank. But I will keep posting because Larry and his team have blocked myself and anyone who’s commented, posted even liked our posting regarding our situation. So I ask Larry & his team to do the right thing, please refund the money so I can help this community.
They were quick with set up and were able to set them up in the layout we wanted. Only downside was that they were a little late with arrival time. Besides that minor setback, everything else was great.
Working with Great Events was a pleasure up until the day of my event. The staff was courteous, accommodating and professional. Unfortunately, none of this actually matters if you do not receive the service you request during an important event.
I chose Great Events specifically because they offered set up and tear down at a reasonable cost. My venue had tables and chairs we could rent cheaper and without a delivery fee, however since no one would set them up, I elected to pay more to utilize Great Events. My wedding day came and the set up and tear down crew had 0 knowledge they were setting up. This wouldn't be that big of a deal EXCEPT we showed them a copy of our invoice showing payment for set up. They pretended they would do it and when my father, who was supervising the setup, went to his hotel to shower, left.
Repeating, on my wedding day, the setup crew, after seeing an invoice including payment for setup, pretended they would do it and then left without completing the task. The bridal party and my father, fully dressed in wedding attire ended up setting up for the event, which made everyone sweaty and put us behind schedule since we did not find out until after my father returned that they abandoned the job. The main office, always respectful, offered a refund on set up and tear down, which I accepted and they processed promptly, however this is not enough. My father looks like a sweaty tomato in the wedding photos, I spent more using this service even with the refund than I would have without setup and they essentially made it so my bridal party and my father had to work on my wedding day. I paid so everyone could relax on the wedding day and Great Events added 100x to everyone's stress. Will never utilize this service again and implore every one of you to use any of the other amazing rental companies in the area.
We used Great Events for our wedding in April. They were on time for dropping off and picking up the tables and chairs without any issues. We have no complaints at all from them! Not to mention, they have a wide selection of rentals on their website to choose from. You won’t go wrong for choosing Great Events.

We used Great Events to fill in the blanks for our wedding reception needs. We rented a dance floor extender, gold chargers and napkins (we used table linens from our catering company). The ladies at Great Events allowed me to drop by before making any reservations and check out the colors of the chargers and the napkins to be sure the matched our needs. The process to reserve everything was super easy and the drop off of the items the day of our wedding went flawlessly. I'd definitely recommend them for your party rental needs!
Great Events went above and beyond to make my wedding day a success. Not only was everything set up quickly and efficiently, but I really appreciate them going the extra mile to suggest the portable coolers and handling that for us at the last second. They saved the day!! It was such an ease planning everything,especially since I was doing everything long distance. I would use Great Events again in a heartbeat, and would highly recommend you to anyone needing any event rentals and the like!!!
I contacted Great Events after visiting the site on a whim. Phil was nice enough to let myself and my family into the site, even though they were closed. I thought that this alone showed great promise!
When I contacted Katrina via email, she was short and disinterested. I would send 4 questions and she would only respond to 1 question. And even that response would be incomplete. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful and when interacting with vendors it's always nice to feel like someone is working with you instead of against you. Maybe it was a difficult 2 days for Katrina (that's how long I lasted before I decided that Great Events would not be for me).
I will say that the quote that she sent over to me, although incomplete, was a lot cheaper than any other tent rental company. However, if I have to pull teeth to get adequate responses, I'll certainly pass. If I can't get a complete answer, how do I expect to get a sufficient product? I never write reviews, but I was so appalled by the lack of interest in Katrina's responses, that I had to warn people. I'm sure that other employees at this company are far better than Katrina, but for me, this experience was bad enough to keep me away.
Not only did the first 3 people we work with leave this company over the course of our wedding planning, one by one, but the people who did eventually work our event were unable to successfully manage our linen order. Even paying for 270 red napkins in advance, and being shown by Violet how they would be set up on our tables (before Violet left the company of course), did not prevent us from showing up to our reception to find that half the napkins were missing. Unfortunately this meant that half of the tables had to have white napkins borrowed from the caterer, which looked hideous on the gold tablecloths. Not appreciated, especially considering the wedding colors were red and gold... Great Events refunded the price of the napkins, but only after trying to blame the Event Coordinator for not calling them in time to correct the mistake (who said she didn't know until 30 minutes before the reception that not all of the napkins were there). Getting the napkin money back does not make up for the mistake and how the reception hall looked. I would definitely not recommend this company and we are beyond disappointed. We paid a lot of money, dealt with their high turnover issues, and they destroyed the look of our reception and wasted our time. I don't appreciate the stress or the attitude I received when I voiced frustration over only a partial order being delivered for our event. We went over the linen order so many times, and that is their business. It shouldn't be that difficult.
Great Events is a fantastic vendor. Both Christina and Emily were so friendly and enthusiastic, it was contagious. They also were willing to meet me multiple times at the venue to go over ideas. We came up with a great lighting scheme, but they also worked with me to have a back-up rain plan. They were afforable (cheapest linen rental I found) and definitely did not make me feel bad when I removed some items due to budget constraints. Would definitely recommend them.
Unfortunately, I feel like the rental vendor handles most of the behind-the-scenes aspects of a wedding and, therefore, gets the least credit. But the set up of everything looked flawless to me! I never noticed employees from the rental company anywhere, and I even had them flip the chairs from the ceremony to the reception. They did a great job doing it quickly and inconspicuously. I received a lot of feedback at how beautiful everything looked, and I give a lot of credit for that to Great Events and my Day-Of Coordinator who worked closely with them.
Michelle was such a wonderful person to work with. From the moment I set foot into Great Events offices she was warm and friendly and listened to what I was envisioning for our wedding. Not only that, but she was able to pull together exactly what I was picturing in my head and bring it to life.
Another thing that I greatly appreciated is that she was very very respectful of my budget and didn't make me feel guilty when I decided against a few of the more expensive details.
Michelle and the staff that came with her the day of the wedding were very friendly and efficient and set up the space in an exquisite manner. It was exactly how I had pictured it and they also came and very quickly broke it all down the same evening leaving the venue exactly as it had been before (i.e. we got our deposit back).
I have already recommended people use them and will continue to do so!
We rented linens from Great Events and they were beautiful! They had a great variety to select from and worked with us to make sure we got just what we envisioned. We also rented our photobooth from them, which had great props and was such a hit!
I contacted Great Events on a whim after we recieved an astronomically high quote for simple lighting for our wedding. I didn't want anything crazy, so I shopped around. Great Events was SUPER friendly over the phone- the owner even got on the phone with me the first time I called- and since I was planning from out of state, they were very flexible and accommodating with my mother who handled the contract. Their prices were great and we ended up using them for some linens and our chairs- which all ended upbeing less than the initial quote we got for lighting from the other place! Service was great and everything looked great the day of! Definitely recommend!
It took me over a year to plan my wedding, and I starting with this company very early. Over the course of that year I was shuffled around from person to person because the people at this company kept quitting their jobs. I never knew who I was working with. They were so unclear with everything that not only did they confuse me, they confused themselves. As a result the linens, etc. I ordered for my wedding day were not in the right place. They are very over priced and a major headache. If you want "great events" I suggest you look elsewhere.
I rented cocktail tables, linens, uplighting, chandeliers, lounge furniture and decor from Great Events for my daughter's wedding. The items were all in perfect condition and looked beautiful and they have a huge selection to choose from. Larry was very professional and courteous, even when I changed my order several times. They delivered and picked up all of the rental items right on schedule. I would definitely recommend them.
They did a great job.. I had rented a dancefloor but it rained pretty bad that week and we had a complete change of plans at the last minute. They were very accomodating on renting us something different so we didn't lose our money.. Great service :)
A week before my wedding, we realized our decorator and venue each thought the other was renting the dance floor! Needless to say, we had to find a company that was willing to work with us on short notice and had ample supply. A resounding number of friends and venues recommended Great Events, and now I see why! They were incredibly helpful in figuring out dimensions and other things we needed on the day and hadn't thought about (coolers, risers, etc.) and were more than happy to provide them at a ridiculously great value. Christina was so nice and I enjoyed working directly with her. I will absolutely use them in the future and would recommend them without hesitation!
They were easy to work with. I rented linens and table number holders. I needed more at the week before and were great about getting me what I needed! They had lots of options to choose from. I would recommend them to everyone!
