Hiring Brittney at GLEP was one of the best wedding choices my husband and I made for our wedding day. I truly don't know what I would have done without Brittney. In addition to our usual monthly check in meetings, she was always available by text or email for anything I needed. I leaned on Brittney for everything - big concerns about the day of, and little concerns as small as where should I put my card box. She stood by my side through everything and I was SO much less stressed and was really put at ease having Brittney by my side. We had our wedding reception in a bank so we had to bring in everything from coat racks to tables and chairs to napkins. As you can imagine there were a LOT of people to hire, coordinate with, and plan for. Leading up to the wedding, Brittney made sure I was on track and not missing anything with my planning. She also created our entire wedding day timeline for us. Closer to the wedding, she confirmed all of my contracts for me and became the point person of contact. We held a special cultural ceremony during our reception and she even coordinated meeting up with our parents to pick up supplies and brought them with her the day of. The day of the wedding Brittney did SO MUCH! She made sure we stayed on track to our timeline, that all of the vendors were coordinated getting in/out of the bank in their certain timeslot, and that things ran smoothly. If something did go wrong on my wedding day, I don't even know about it because Brittney must have handled it! She was there with me from the beginning of the day to the end of the night. She truly became my friend during the wedding planning process and made it such an easy, stress free, fun time!! She even does these beautiful flower walls that I cannot wait to have for my next event. I CANNOT RECOMMEND BRITTNEY ENOUGH! Our wedding day simply could not have happened without Brittney. She was there for me every step of the way! I texted and emailed her with questions, timeline and layout changes, and just to chat about the wedding and she was immediately responsive, always cheerful, and gave the best most knowledgable advice! She was seriously my saving grace for the entire year leading up to my wedding day and then on the day itself! She thought of every detail, like sending me a sneak peak of the venue, set up our neon sign, our guest book and memory tables, and kept everything under control so that I could focus on just having the time of my life! Brittney was recommended to me by word of mouth—prior to this, I didn’t even consider a coordinator at all. She was extremely organized and helpful along the process, and she reminded me of things that had not thought of in such a busy time. When my wedding was around the corner, Brittney kept my vendors informed, and she gave me confidence that things would work out. I don’t quite know how to succinctly and adequately explain how absolutely wonderful and amazing Brittney is at what she does in a small space, so let me just say this first: BOOK HER! Brittney and I connected immediately and I was at peace that I felt I was in good hands…and then COVID happened, and those “good hands” became totally invaluable. The uncertainty leading up to our September 2020 ceremony was immense, and we had to pull together an entirely different game plan in less than a month. My husband and I had the ceremony of our dreams (just with far less guests!) and even an intimate lawn “afterglow”that was way more elegant than I ever expected to have during COVID times; It never would have been pulled off in that short amount of time without Brittney’s organization, coordination, and execution. Instead of casting us aside after that crazy experience, Brittney leaned into the relationship we had built and loyally stuck by our side for our October 2021 reception. I am still on cloud nine thinking about the fact that we got to have a second perfect night with our family and friends that we had missed out on the year before. Like our ceremony, Brittney made sure every detail of our reception was perfect, she kept the timeline flowing so I didn’t have anything to worry about except enjoying, and she provided much needed support through it all. She truly became an extension of my own hands and brain and she earned my trust tenfold. The morning after our reception, my mom - who initially did not understand my insistence that hiring a coordinator was necessary for my sanity as a bride - said to me, “That Brittney really was incredible and she worked her butt off! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I really, in all honesty, cannot say enough good things about Brittney. A) What an amazing human, and 2) what an AMAZING wedding day-of coordinator. I reached out to Brittney in March 2019, and we were with her until October 2021, so I can say that I am fully aware of what Brittney can do. I am a very type A human and was having a DIY wedding, and I needed someone to do exactly what I would do if I weren’t busy being the bride. She was that and a million more things. Throughout the up and downs, Brittney was so organized, proactive, and just a joy to work with (my MIL even wants to adopt her ;)) We were a true COVID wedding and were originally married during lockdown. Brittney was there with us every step of the way. She wasn’t just a vendor - she was our friend. She gave advice on communicating with vendors when we weren’t having much luck, reassured us when it felt like nothing was going our way, and in the end, helped us have the best day we could ever imagine. We ended up having a very medium reception in our new backyard, and Brittney handled EVERYTHING. If anything went wrong on the day, I have no clue what they were, and I will probably never know. Multiple times I caught her cleaning my kitchen and loving on our pup. She went so far and above what I ever expected. We never could have dreamed after all of the disappointments, planning/unplanning/replanning, and general stress of having a wedding at our own house, that our day could’ve turned out as magical as it did. HIRE HER! I’m telling you, hiring Brittney was literally the best thing that we did for our wedding. I hired Brittney in fall of 2020 for our ‘DIY’ October 2021 wedding. Brittney and I met via FaceTime (Covid) several times during the planning process and she is the number one reason I didn’t lose my mind wedding planning during a pandemic. Brittney is extremely knowledgeable about the world of weddings/events and has lots of great relationships within. She was even able to make some excellent vendor recommendations for us. During Brittney and I’s meetings for planning, Brittney was able to provide me excellent guidance in our day of timeline, logistics and floor plan. She welcomed any question or concern that I had at literally any time or day, which eased my anxieties greatly. Come the day of, Brittney was able to oversee the entire event, directing every moving part gracefully and without flaw. She was our single point of contact and ensured that all of our vendors knew where to go, what to do and when to do it. Brittney went the extra mile to make sure that we were able to enjoy our day stress-free with loved ones, and sent us progress updates and photos to ease our nerves. She even showed up early to ensure that our vendors greeted and paid. Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about this woman and her business, she was able to make our wedding the best day ever. And I even got to make an instant friend in the process 🤍

Brittney is an incredible event planner and I was lucky to have worked with her for my wedding. Throughout the planning process, Brittney was extremely organized, calm and communicative. Event planning is not my cup of tea, but Brittney made me feel relaxed and confident that the day would run smoothly, and offered her helpful opinions whenever I was indecisive and needed input. On the day of the wedding, Brittney was an absolute rockstar. We had a power outage at the reception, tornado warnings and delayed shuttles, but Brittney was calm and collected and just handled everything like a pro. Brittney did a TON of work on the day, all while having the best attitude and making the wedding party feel relaxed, special and happy. I loved having Brittney by my side on my big day, and all of my wedding party was impressed by her as well. Aside from her planning skills, Brittney is a genuinely kind, funny and positive person. I don’t miss planning a wedding during a pandemic, but I do miss my check-ins with Brittney! I can’t say enough about how great my experience was, and highly recommend Brittney to anyone in need of an event planner.

Day of wedding was not any less challenging with a power outage, tornado warning, shuttle issues and fire alarms. Brittney was absolutely wonderful! I don't know how I would have pulled off the day without her! She was super flexible and helpful over the last year and a half with all of our planning and cancelling and planning again due to COVID. On the day of, Brittney was there to set up the ballroom and make sure everything went to plan. She helped us troubleshoot big and small issues that arose, often without me even finding out. I was actually able to relax and enjoy the moment because I was confident that Brittney had everything handled. Having this personalized level of support was priceless. Could not recommend her more!

Brittney is AMAZING. Every step of the wedding planning process was made so much easier and less stressful with Brittney as our planner. Where do I even begin? I never thought about hiring a day of coordinator until a friend suggested I do so. I’m so glad I did and I couldn’t suggest Brittney and her team more. She was so professional and always quick to respond to my crazy questions. She has so much knowledge about weddings, events, timelines and great vendor suggestions. By investing in a coordinator I actually ended up saving money because she had many tips and tricks. It’s as if I didn’t have to pay for her services, because of her recommendations on rentals and entertainment that saved me money. The day of she sent me a text that morning that had a smile on my face the entire day. She knew just how to ease my mind and I hadn’t even seen her yet. She helped run the miscellaneous wedding errands the morning of and then surprised me mid afternoon at my hotel suite. My bridesmaids loved her just as much as I did. My venue looked beautiful and she set up my accent tables perfectly. When our timeline was running behind she handled it with such ease and said she considers the bumps in a road when making a timeline so little did I know we were actually perfectly ok with time. She communicated to the venue about pushing dinner service back by 15 minutes and took care of it all without hesitation. It gave us more time to ease into grand entrance vs being rushed once we arrived at the venue. At the end of the night she packed up my stuff just as I had brought it to her the day before. I could never thank her enough and I’m so happy social media connected us! Thank you Great Lakes Event Planning we love you!!!!

Brittney is THE BEST person to have on your most important day. I cannot stress this enough. My best friend got married and I was her maid of honor and watching Brittney bring everything to life that my best friend dreamt of brought me to tears. I am so grateful for finding Great Lakes Event Planning. After interviewing over 5 planners I fell in love with Great Lakes from the moment she responded to my inquiry form! I was the over the top bride with 14 bridesmaids, 14 groomsmen, 6 children plus some a huge entourage. My party was BIG with the horse and carriage and all things a little girl dreams of. Having a year and a half to plan my wedding, I thought I could handle doing planning and coordination on my own; I was organized and knew exactly how we wanted the day to go. Booking Brittney of Great Lakes Event Planning as our Day-Of Coordinator was one of the very best decisions we made for our wedding! She knows exactly what she’s doing and she was a huge part of why our wedding day ran so smoothly. During our planning meetings before the wedding, she was super helpful and had great advice about vendors in the Detroit area, and the day-of timeline she helped us create for the wedding was perfect. Through the whole planning process, Brittney was so easy to communicate with and quick to respond — so important for stressed-out brides (like I was!). Then, the day of, she was an angel — she got to our venue (our house/property in Dexter) early, helped SO much with setting up glasses/folding napkins/transporting flowers/giving checks to vendors/probably a million other things I didn’t even see because I was busy doing last-minute wedding prep. During the actual ceremony, she was the one who coordinated all the timing/entrances and kept everything running on track. She also brought us a beautiful backdrop for our sweetheart table at the reception and set it up for us — it looked amazing! — and a really cool dessert tray that we used to display some of our wedding desserts. Also, we had to take photos during our cocktail hour, and she tracked us down and brought my husband and me a little plate of food so we wouldn’t pass out from hunger/exhaustion! It was just so nice having her there during the day, knowing that if something came up, she would handle it, and she really goes the extra mile for her clients.
