Great River Golf Club

We don’t even know where to begin with this review. Is there a word limit? Great River beyond exceeded our expectations from the first minute we took a tour there for our wedding. In fact, we never toured anywhere after! They were exceptionally organized, flexible,and thoughtful in all of their support in helping us plan our wedding. They are highly skilled and knowledgeable in all things wedding-related and made the planning process surprisingly easy for us. They are also ready for anything! For example they last minute moved our cocktail hour indoors to keep our guests warm and it was so appreciated. They worked seamlessly with other vendors as well who had nothing but good things to say. We had a tasting a few months prior where we met the wonderful Chef. On our wedding day, the food was amazing, the drinks were excellent, and all of the staff were very friendly and attentive. We wish we had more time to thank them individually but they were working so hard behind the scenes. Our guests had the best time and so did we!! Abby and Suzie in particular made our wedding an unbelievable experience. The details mentioned are of course important, but above all we will never forget their incredible kindness, thoughtfulness, and inclusive spirit. It was truly above and beyond. We are endlessly grateful to Great River and recommend them wholeheartedly and without hesitation. Thank you Great River!!!

Great River Golf Club exceeded all of our expectations from beginning to end. Not only is the club itself gorgeous, but the grounds are meticulously maintained. We had a November 1 wedding at the gazebo and it could not have been more perfect. The weather cooperating was a plus but the staff made my vision come to life and then some. Throughout the entire process, we were in communication and questions were answered almost immediately. So many of my concerns/worries were put to ease because I knew I was working with a great team. All of our guests raved about the wedding and how amazing the club is. Many people who attended were local and were excited to learn about this hidden gem. People also loved the food. It does not taste like vendor food (something we were really looking for). It's high quality and the presentation is photo worthy! We also chose to rent our Monty's Grille for cocktail hour and it was perfect. Our guests had plenty of space to spread out rain/shine and enjoy each other's company. We can not recommend Great River enough!!

My husband and I can truly not put into words how happy we were with Great River Golf Club on the most important day of our lives. Not only did we feel this but our guests told us numerous times that the food, staff, and venue itself was amazing. Our day of coordinator, Abby, was so attentive and with us every step of the way and we could not ask for anything more. Even though it rained on the day of our wedding, the ceremony space was still beautiful. The experience from Chef Matt from the venue tasting to the day of was phenomenal. I would recommend Great River to any couple!!

We held our wedding reception at Great River in August 2024, and we could not be any happier with how our reception turned out. Working with Great River was truly a pleasure. Karin, Suzie and Abby were so easy to work with and they treated us like we were family throughout the entire process. The Great River staff was so thoughtful and organized with every aspect of the reception. They provided us with an excellent list of vendor recommendations that made planning our day so easy. They also coordinated with our vendors the week of the wedding and the day of to make the execution easy and carefree for us (including bus transportations from a local hotel to drop our guests off!). The Great River staff provided a plan for timing and even worked with our band to keep a good flow and everything on track. We credit this to Suzie who really went above and beyond with everything she did. She even offered to help me make our menu cards and drink signage. Abby was amazing to work with and on the day of our wedding, she always had drinks ready for the two of us and did anything to make us feel comfortable, including fixing my dress train and even clearing broken glass off our dance floor immediately as no guests were hurt (despite numerous broken glasses throughout the evening). We and our guests were blown away with the food, service and bar which can be attributed to Chef Matt and Dan. Our food tasting experience with Chef Matt was a memorable day in preparation for our wedding, and the kitchen executed flawlessly not only on dinner but on the raw bar and pasta stations during the cocktail hour. The bar, which allowed us two signature cocktails, was never backed up and all of our guests were happy with the service. The ballroom and outdoor areas at Great River are beautiful venues for your cocktail hour and wedding. The staff left no detail uncovered. When most other venues will try to upcharge you on almost anything that you ask for, Great River asked us what else they could do for us and were willing to work with us. I truly can’t recommend having a wedding at Great River enough. The team did such an amazing job and our day couldn’t have been better between the food, drinks, and service.

Suzie and Abby were amazing! I am so type A and from start to finish they were super communicative and kind! They made my day run so smooth and made everyone feel welcomed! The food is amazing, the venue is amazing, and the staff is amazing! I wish I could re live my day in slow motion it was so much fun but went by quick! Thank you to the team at Great River for a perfect wedding!

The entire staff from the beginning of our wedding planning throughout the wedding day were FANTASTIC!! We especially Thank Suzie, Chelsea and Caitlyn for their attentiveness to detail and making sure our special day went off without a hitch. The food was well received by all guest who commenting on how great it was. We highly recommend any couple looking for a wedding spot and/or reception to consider using Great River!!!!

I was very happy with our decision to have our wedding at Great River. The venue itself is beautiful and I love that we were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, the reception, photos, etc. all on site but still in all different and stunning locations. The staff was very accommodating. Suzie, Emily, and Caitlin from the Events Team did a great job in making sure everything went smoothly that day.

From the tour to the big day, we had so much help from the attentive staff at Great River. They are very professional in handling all of our questions, and the food was delicious. Our food tasting was so much fun and we got so many compliments from our guests.

Great River Golf Club is the absolute best place to host your wedding. The venue is stunning. The views are amazing. The food is delicious. And the staff are the kindest, most professional people you will ever meet. From the planning stages to the wedding day, I felt completely at ease because the team at Great River handled everything without any issues. My guests even commented on how amazing and attentive the staff was. I would recommend GR to anyone and I'm actually sad the wedding is over because they made the whole planning process enjoyable.

I honestly cannot express the immense gratitude that I have towards the staff at Great River for making my wedding day so incredible. From the first booking, through planning, the entire wedding day, and even the morning after, they went above and beyond. Great River is a stunning venue, but what really solidified our decision was Chelsea who toured the venue with us and was the point of contact from that moment until the wedding day. During the tour we also met Dan who generously offered his assistance for anything we needed. Chelsea made us feel at ease and confident throughout the entire planning process. They were so flexible and accommodating anytime I asked for certain changes, and they responded so quickly anytime I had questions. The tasting was incredible with chef Matt and the guests have been RAVING about the food. Any changes we wanted to make were no problem at all! During our final details meeting, we met with Chelsea, Abby, Suzanne, and Karin. Their expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail was impeccable. At our rehearsal the day before the wedding, they had already contacted all of our vendors and had everything prepared. A bride could not ask for a better group of women to have assist her on her wedding day. Not only were these four women so attentive, prepared, and professional, but they were so incredibly kind hearted. It was clear that they were invested in your day and would do anything to make it as perfect and memorable as possible. Every bride and groom deserve to have the most amazing wedding day, and I am so thankful to Great River for making all my visions and dreams for our day come true.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Great River Golf Club in October 2023. From the exceptionally well-manicured grounds to the beautiful interior, we absolutely loved GR! Our cocktail hour outside by the fireplace was stunning with the ambience from the twinkle lights, and the ballroom was meticulously set up. From our menu tasting to the actual wedding day food, everything was delicious! Our guests continually commented on the incredible meals they ate as well as the gorgeous views. We were fortunate to have an unusually warm late October day which added to the picturesque fall landscape. Caitlin was especially helpful throughout our planning process and made sure that our day-of ran smoothly. Karin was also a huge help in the early stages and continued to answer our questions as needed. Every call or email was returned promptly and helped to keep things very low-stress. GR exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled to have chosen this as our reception location. Highly recommend!

We cannot stop raving about Great River and how they made our wedding day so special! Leading up to our big day they were always so quick to respond to any inquiries we had and were always so buttoned up. They provided timelines for everything that had to take place leading up to the big day and were always willing to go above and beyond to make our day so special. On our actual wedding day the staff was so attentive and always made sure we (the bride & groom) came first. Even though we had a rainy wedding day they did everything in their power to ensure the day was nothing less of perfect. I would 100% recommend anyone to have their wedding at Great River!

All the staff at Great River did an amazing job! Especially Chelsea and Abby! They were so helpful during the entire wedding planning process and they helped make our day perfect. We had the best day ever and everything was beautiful. We keep getting compliments from our friends and family how beautiful our wedding was. We cannot say enough good things about Great River Golf Club as our wedding venue. Everything about GR was perfect. This place almost seems like a best kept secret! First of all, the ceremony space and reception room are absolutely stunning. The planning process was stress free, as a coordinator is assigned to you and guides the process. The day of the wedding, an attendant is assigned to you as well which ensures that everything goes off without a hitch. The food was so good! All of our guests raved about it- definitely not your standard wedding food. The price is more than fair for what you get! If you are concerned about the fact that it is located on an operating golf course, I would not let that deter you from selecting this venue. It was not noisy with golfers and they were all extremely respectful of the wedding taking place. I did not even notice. I truly cannot recommend GR enough to any future couple! Do yourself a favor and visit this venue, you will fall in love!

I cannot say enough good things about Great River. Our coordinators Chelsea and Abby were phenomenal and made sure everything wen completely smooth on our wedding day. Any questions or last minute changes we had to make were accommodated immediately! The food was also great! The golf course itself is stunning and the perfect backdrop for photos. Highly recommend this venue!

We had our wedding reception at Great River in early September and it was the most amazing day. The entire team at Great River is kind, helpful, and professional. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and they handle it all, the food and coordinating with your vendors, and even have relationships with several bakeries to choose your cake from. The whole process couldn’t be smoother, Caitlin is a joy to work with, she answered every question and concern we had. Chef Matt is phenomenal at what he does. From our food tasting to the week of the wedding he made sure every detail was perfect. Our friends and family are still talking about the delicious food a month later! Abby was my bridal concierge and she was so attentive, I didn’t have to worry about a thing except just enjoy our wedding day! The entire team at Great River is incredible. We highly recommend Great River for any special event. They will certainly make it very special and memorable!

Our wedding at the Great River Golf Club was a dream come true. The experience surpassed our expectations - the venue and its team were incredible! The food at Great River is also something that our guests keep complimenting. We initially met with the chef, who explained all the dishes and helped us create the perfect menu. We loved everything about our experience with the team at Great River. From the first tour of the space with Chelsea, to the day of with Caitlin, Madison & Lucy, to the follow up post event, everyone was kind, professional, and extremely helpful. Our guests loved the dinner and we loved the fact that we could offer four meal options. Don’t sleep on their chicken- it is the best catered chicken I’ve ever had. The coordinators and bridal concierge team handled everything for us including set up, clean up, running the rehearsal, and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be throughout the day. It absolutely poured all day, and they made the rain locations feel like the original plan. Caitlin kept me calm when things had to change, and Madison & Lucy made sure I was dry and warm during any down time. They even made sure my husband and I had water while we were taking endless pictures! I can’t say enough about Great River.

I got married at Great River on 4/22/23. As soon as I got engaged I knew I had to take a look a Great River and I would not choose a venue until I saw it! Once we saw it, we knew that is where we were getting married and we are so happy with our decision. I can't say enough good things about it! The entire staff was wonderful to work with! I was in good hands and no matter how many questions I asked (there were a lot!) Caitlin always answered. When we had our taste testing we were blown away by Chef Matt, he sat down with us and went over everything with us, one on one. Everyone is still raving about the food! Our bridal concierges were AMAZING! They were so attentive and sweet. On the day of the wedding everything was set up for us exactly how we pictured it. Due to the weather, we had to have the ceremony and cocktail hour in the breezeway, which is a beautiful space. They transformed the ceremony space into cocktail hour in less than 5 minutes and it was flawless! I felt ZERO stress the entire day! We couldn't be happier with choosing Great River!

I can't say enough good things about Great River. They were absolutely wonderful to work with! From beginning to end, working with them was a breeze. After my now husband and I had our initial meeting with them, I went back with my mom a few weeks later and they happily walked us around a second time so that my mom could see everything. I was not expecting that, and it was really nice that they took the time. The coordinator we worked with was great. We emailed her so many times with questions. We had a couple of unique requests, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, and they were happy to accommodate us. They set everything (seating cards, favors, guest book, etc.) up in the banquet room perfectly. It looked so good! I can't say enough good things about our bridal concierge that was with us on the day of from beginning to end. She was absolutely wonderful and so attentive. Their food was amazing as well. We got to taste test a set of food choices ahead of time and they were all really really good. We only heard compliments from our guests regarding the food, including the late night snack we chose. Don't sleep on the late night grilled cheese, I cannot tell you the number of guests that raved about these! At the end of the night they helped pack up any gifts and cards to send home and they happily held on to any decor items until the next day when we could come pick them up. I truly don't think there is one thing that I would have changed about the day, they were flawless!

I found the Great River Golf Club on the Knot. I went to visit the venue and booked it immediately for my future daughter in law’s bridal shower. The staff, food and help I got to plan it was terrific! I would highly recommend for any special occasion!! It was beautiful!! Everyone loved it!!

My husband and I had the most wonderful time at our wedding at Great River Golf Club. The venue is beautiful and absolutely accommodated our 135 guests comfortably. We had a winter wedding and great River provided so many “extras” to help decorate! I also really appreciated the vendor list we received when we booked our venue, that was so helpful! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

My wife and I were married at Great River Golf club this past November 5th. I cannot express how beautiful and perfect our day was thanks to great river. Not only are the groundings amazingly well kept, the food, staff, and beautiful ballroom fell nothing short of perfect . My husband and I got engaged in October 2020. We knew we wanted to book our venue quickly since everything was so uncertain due to the pandemic, we were looking at 2 years out to try to have a “normal” wedding. I researched so many venues but once I found Great River I was sold just by the package alone before ever seeing the venue. So 3 weeks after getting engaged we toured Great River Golf Club, and I didn’t need to see anything else. Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place and it’s a gorgeous venue. Once we booked our date, I got to planning for 2 years, Gail was wonderful to work with throughout the beginning of our process and I couldn’t be more grateful, then this year we started working with Caitlin as our Wedding Coordinator. Caitlin not only answered all my crazy questions and emails, she gave me valuable suggestions that truly helped me plan our day. Once we had our final meeting with Caitlin and Madison, I never have felt more at ease, I knew our wedding would be amazing because of how comfortable they made us feel. Our wedding day was the most magical, perfect day of our lives. From the moment I got to Great River Madison and Caitlin were on top of everything ensuring our day went off without a hitch, and boy did it! We are still receiving compliments about how our wedding was the best. Madison even gave me a sneak peak of our ballroom decorated so I could see my vision come to life before everyone sat down. The food was incredible, the service was amazing, and the venue itself was breathtaking. I can’t thank everyone at Great River enough for the past 2 years of planning and for the best day of our lives!

Our wedding day & rehearsal dinner were truly perfect thanks to an amazing team at Great River! From the planning process to the day of, the event team was available to answer all of our questions and guide us through every step. Our menu tasting was such a special experience with the chef and the food was outstanding; some of the best we've had! Our meals the day of tasted exactly like they did during the tasting and the service was exceptional! We also had our rehearsal dinner at Monty's River Grille with a pre-set menu that we selected with the team. The food, again, was amazing; even our foodie family was raving about how delicious everything was and how big the portions were! I can't recommend Great River enough for their outstanding service, food & amazing event team!!

From the initial tour to leaving in our get-a-way car everyone exceeded all expatiations we had. Everyone could agree the food was outstanding- some of the best our guests had ever had. They were extremely organized, attentive and just so incredibly helpful at all times and never once did I feel like I was a bother to them. They answered any and all questions I had and were excellent at providing guidance throughout. As a perfectionist and a very type A kind of bride, I was expecting a lot to go wrong on the day of but I can honestly say it went off without a hitch thanks to the staff at Great River. They were on top of everything and ensured all went according to plan and made sure I did nothing but enjoy the day, and enjoy the day I did!! From the beautiful setting and attention to detail to the delicious food, they ensured all was perfect and people are still raving about how great everything there was. This venue is gorgeous! We knew when we met Gail at our venue tour that we were in good hands. Gail and Grace helped make our wedding visions come to life on our beautiful and well organized wedding day. We still have guests reaching out complimenting the food and cocktail hour (we used the fireplace area). We are so grateful for the Great River staff for helping to make our day so special and memorable.

Chelsea and Caitlin were amazing to work with and they made our wedding day one we will never forget! Chelsea was so helpful throughout the entire planning process and was super communicative and was there to answer all my questions. On the big day, as soon as I got to the venue, Chelsea and Caitlin took over and I felt at ease and immediately less stressed. Caitlin helped me with my dress and bouquet throughout the night and was super attentive. She even brought us some snacks from cocktail hour while we were finishing up photos to make sure we got to eat. I had the best experience with this venue, they were on their game with everything. From our wedding menu tasting, and after meeting with the chef, we knew the food would be incredible - and we were right. It did not disappoint and was just as incredible as the day we had our tasting. If you are looking for a venue to book, I highly recommend Great River. My husband and I were so pleased with everything and the entire staff who helped make our day amazing.

We toured about a dozen wedding venues and nothing felt right until we arrived at Great River, almost instantly we knew this was the venue for us! The grounds were beautiful as were every indoor area, this was a place we knew would "wow" our guests! We also could not have asked for better staff to work with. Chef Matt is so talented and we could not have asked for better food at our wedding, all of our guests were so impressed. The events team were also so accommodating and really took the time to get to know my husband and I to make our day extra special. We truly enjoyed working with every single person at Great River! Lastly, a big selling point to us was the multiple options for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in case of bad weather! This allowed our day to be as stress free a possible. Highly recommend Great River to any future couples!

Great River made all of our wedding dreams come true! The whole process was seamless. Our wedding concierges Gail and Carly were always very responsive and helpful. They truly went above and beyond for us. The food was great, the room was decorated beautifully, and the grounds are amazing for pictures! We had our wedding at Great River a little over a week ago and we still cannot get over how truly amazing the day/night was! Chelsea, Carly, and the whole team at Great River went above and beyond to help us have the wedding of our dreams. Chelsea was there to help with any questions that came up during the planning process and to keep us on planning track. On the day of, all staff especially Carly and Chelsea were so supportive and were there for us to make sure our wedding day went exceptionally smooth. Chelsea and Carly really helped me feel relaxed on the wedding day and I knew we were in great hands. The grounds were beautiful to host our ceremony and reception and all our guests complemented how great the food was. Would want to relive this day again if we could it was perfect!

Our coordinator Caitlin was wonderful from start to finish. Communication was stellar and we were treated wonderfully as alumni of Sacred Heart. Great River balanced the uncertainties of the pandemic and kept us in the loop as our day got closer. The day went off without a hitch as Grace was also added as our coordinator for the big day. We met the week of the wedding and everything we discussed was executed. Details like timing, set up, food, staff…. the things that stress you out were not even on my radar that day. My wife and I are proud to say we were married at Great River!

From the beginning to end my husband and I felt like we were the only couple GR was working with. Chelsea, Carly, and the GR staff truly made us feel so special. The amount of work and dedication they put in to making our day perfect goes without notice. It’s been a little over week now and our family and friends are still talking about our wedding day and how beautiful it all went! Chelsea , thank you so so much for the quick responses and making me feel so relaxed on the big day. I knew I could count on you with every small detail I asked, and you executed it so marvelously! And you honestly did everything you possibly could to make me happy. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this venue! 5 stars!!!!!

With questionable weather for an outside wedding, Caitlin and Gail were extremely flexible and supportive in making last minute decisions. They guided us and reassured us that they would take care of every detail regardless of the weather. The experience couldn't have been better and we are so appreciative of the team at Great River! Our wedding at Great River Golf Club was everything we hoped for and more. From the planning process all the way to wedding day, they did not disappoint. Chelsea and Caitlin, our bridal planner/concierge made sure my husband and I were where we needed to be and had everything done for us. We didn’t even have to ask for another drink - they just appeared! I could not say enough good things about Great River - wish we could relive our wedding day again!!

From the moment we stepped foot into Great River, we knew that it was the venue for us, so much so that we cancelled other tours afterwards. We absolutely fell in love with the venue, especially the outdoor/indoor options. We worked with Chelsea throughout the entire process and she was amazing. She answered every question, reached out when needed and always made us feel secure and that she was thinking about everything we would possibly need. The team made our wedding day perfect. Chelsea and Carly are as helpful as it gets and hustled all day! Even our photographer commented how most venues are not as involved and diligent in making sure every detail goes as planned. We had food, drinks, and everything we needed all evening. We even had some last minute weather and they handled everything we need and adjusted on the fly to move our cocktail hour to the breezeway. It was so seamless that no one even knew it was a last second switch. The bridal suite/ groom's room were perfect and an ideal drop off spot for our extra items and everything was there for us the next day - a great help not to worry about it the night of. And the FOOD was amazing! Our tasting with Matt a few months prior was one of our favorite days and the food tasting every bit as good on the wedding day. Many guests told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We could not be any happier with Chelsea, Carly and the entire team at Great River and would recommend this venue to anyone!

Great River Golf Club is a gorgeous venue! We worked with Gail throughout our wedding planning process and with Carly on our wedding day. Perfectionists shouldn’t plan weddings because things will go wrong, but it’s all about how you roll with it and keep moving forward. Carly ensured that our day felt seamless. The Ceremony started a little late (not Great River’s fault), and once it was over, we opted to take extra family photos during Cocktail Hour. Unfortunately, the photos took longer than expected to round everybody up (not our photographer or Great River’s fault). Afterwards, we bustled my dress. By the time everything was finished, we missed just about all of Cocktail Hour. Had we realized this would be the case, we would have asked for Cocktail Hour food in the bridal suite – just something to consider if the day’s schedule starts slipping. I requested some décor repurposing, which Great River took care of beautifully – reusing the gazebo spray from our Ceremony on our sweetheart table, and also using one of the bridesmaid bouquets to add flowers to the cake. Both came out perfect and made us so happy! For dinner, my husband requested a lobster tail with his meal and ended up being served an entire lobster! To say we were shocked was an understatement. It was totally unexpected and such a nice surprise! Carly made sure that we were fed and had drinks throughout the entire evening, including our dessert. We were really looking forward to the donut wall, which we raved to everyone about, but it was kind of disheartening that our flavors weren’t there. We requested and confirmed that we would have apple cider, glazed, chocolate frosted with sprinkles, Boston cream, and jelly donuts, but ended up with chocolate and vanilla cake donuts with pink and green frosting. We’re not sure what happened, but our guests didn’t notice and enjoyed the donuts, so we were happy that they didn’t realize. Lastly, we opted for the late night bite of French fries, which was a huge hit! The cheese sauce was delicious and it was a nice way to end the night. At the end of the day, we had the exact wedding we wanted, our guests had a fantastic time, and for that, we are so grateful to Great River! Everyone has been saying how incredible of a time they had, which makes us so happy!

Great River Golf Club was an absolute dream of a wedding venue. I cannot say enough about how beautiful our wedding day was. All of our wedding guests absolutely loved the food. Great River really elevates the wedding food game in a way that I have never seen done before. Every single guest commented on how good the food was and how they've never had wedding food this good. Gail was wonderful to work with and Lisanne was our day-of coordinator. We felt so taken care of day of and it was a stunning day. Lisanne set up our decor which looked incredible and everything turned out perfectly. Incredible day from beginning to end.

We got married at GRGC on April 23rd, 2022 and it is a day we will never forget. I appreciate Caitlin and Lisanne beyond words. The month leading to our wedding was hectic, but Caitlin was always so speedy on her responses and had the answers to all of my questions. When rehearsal day came around, both Caitlin and Lisanne were rock stars! There wasn't an event the day before so I was able to walk around the ballroom, bring all our decorations into the bridal suite and walk through my vision with Caitlin and Lisanne. I could feel their excited energy which made me even more excited about the big day! Our wedding day was pretty much flawless, all thanks to our team of wonderful women. They kept our timeline on time, were always there for any questions we had, and both truly made the evening perfect. For example, I noticed a few guests getting warm on the dance floor so I asked if we could get the doors propped open to cool off the room, two seconds later the room cooled down. Caitlin and Lisanne were SO attentive, kind, supportive, and truly amazing. There aren't words to truly describe how they made me feel on my wedding day. My husband and I had one goal, to have fun (and get married of course). We wanted everyone around us to have a good time and enjoy themselves. Caitlin and Lisanne helped us reach our goal. I should also mention, the food at Great River is SO GOOD! Our food tasting was unreal and the day-of was even better. The guests commented on how amazing all the appetizers were at cocktail hour and how delicious the entrees were. If I were to do my wedding again, I would do nothing different. Great River Golf Club was the PERFECT venue. Thank you, Lisanne & Caitlin!!!

First off, such a beautiful venue with great rain day options (the biggest reason I picked it and somehow we ended up with a beautiful early April day after a week of rain). Chelsea was on top of communication from before I ever booked them and kept everything on task all the way up until the wedding day. She meticulously wrote every detail and made you feel at ease that everything would be perfect. Lisanne was my day of concierge and she was just so kind and attentive, keeping us all on schedule. And the food! My in-laws can be very picky about food and they said this was the best meal they’d ever had at a venue. Chef Matt was great during our menu tasting and he did not disappoint day of. I am so happy we chose Great River Golf Club as our wedding venue. We had so much fun on our wedding day and that’s what we all want!

Chelsea and Caitlin did an amazing job to make our day special! They always answered quickly and helped with any questions. The venue was gorgeous, we had such a great time! We also received a lot of compliments about the food! Definitely recommend!

We can not say enough about Great River! From the beginning to the end the entire bridal staff were there for us. Always getting emails with any questions or updates leading up to the best day! My husband & I recommend Great River for your best day as well. You will not be disappointed from the staff to the food to the grounds! We were so grateful that we found Great River for our wedding day!

It's taken a bit to write this review because we truly can't stop taking in how incredible our wedding day was at Great River! My husband & I got engaged in October, booked our date in early November & got married on March 19th, with such a short time frame & a wedding of 150+ guests we knew it would be stressful, however, with the amazing support & planning from Gail, Chelsea, Lisanne & the entire Great River Team we were able to enjoy every second of planning & had no doubt in our minds that our day would be perfect! Chelsea & Lisanne went above & beyond on our wedding day, making sure everything was in line (bridal party included :) ) & we truly can't thank them enough! From the beautiful venue, the extra details, delicious food & most of all the incredible staff, it was a day we will never forget! Thank you to the entire Great River Team!!

I cannot say enough how amazing Great River was for my wedding reception in March 2022. The grounds, the ballroom, the patio and bridal suite are beautiful. The staff members Chelsea and Grace were so wonderful to work with. They were helpful during both the planning process as well as the day of my wedding. The small touches they added and how attentive they were really made Great River an amazing place to work with. We were also able to do a tasting and select the room options for the wedding. The chef, Matt was able to walk us through the courses and provide valuable suggestions. The food on the wedding day was just as amazing and tasty as during our private tasting!! Overall, I experienced NO stress at all which is what every Bride hopes for when planning their big day. I cannot recommend Great River enough, I am so thankful for them!

We had absolutely 0 doubt that Great River was the venue for us. It is a beautiful venue & close to the church we got married at. Their attention to detail and care was unreal! They helped me make last minute signage, they followed us around during pictures with a cocktail of our choosing, and so much more! They have a waterfall which is PERFECT for pictures but not walking distance so they have a golf cart that says Just Married on it. It's like they thought of everything. COVID planning was STRESSFUL but the team at Great River made everything perfect. Don't hesitate to have your wedding here, your search is over. You will be in the best hands with Gail, Chelsea, Caitlin, and Lisanne.

AMAZING place to have a wedding!!!! We chose to have our winter wedding at Great River and it was the most incredible and stress free experience from beginning to end. Chelsea, Gail & Caitlin made the entire experience effortless for us from beginning to end. The entire staff was amazing to us, and the food for the wedding was to die for. They were so accommodating and communicated with us through every step of the way. We got married in the breezeway with the beautiful fire heaters and the guests couldn't stop raving about it! 10/10 amazing experience

Had my wedding here on 12/4/21. Let me tell you they made our day so unforgettable. Everyone was so helpful and made one of the most important and stressful days one we will never forget!
