I had my wedding at The Lookout at Hope Lake. Such a beautiful venue, amazing view of the mountains, and thankfully the weather cooperated. I was in contact with Chelsea the previous venue coordinator but she recently left Greek Peak. I was nervous about receiving a new venue coordinator right before our wedding but Danielle was INCREDIBLE. She was so sweet, understanding, and she got the JOBS done. Additionally, the kitchen and bar staff were amazing as well. Allison and Madeline always made sure everything was taken care of and that I was satisfied. I do wish there was a bit more staff to pass out the appetizers for over 200 guests during cocktail hour. Other than that, I could not be more happy with choosing this venue for our wedding.
I never would have thought about having my wedding here, at a "ski resort." We are not skiers. What drew me here was a picture!! The inside of the Tent (seasonal location) was breath taking!! We were scrolling and clicking on EVERY venue listed. NOTHING had that "oh la la" appeal. My FH went to bed and I kept looking. Then, I came upon GP. The next evening I showed him and he said, "If you want it then let's make an appointment!" So I reached out and left a message. The Wedding Events Coordinator (Chelsea) got back to me in a timely manner and we set up a meeting. She showed us around to their other locations on site. Then we went into the Tent. And it was ABSOULTELY BREATH TAKING when we were inside!! It was definitely LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!!!! Chelsea talked to us about what GP has to offer, as far as wedding packages, etc. We booked GP by the end of 2021; and we just got married last month! In order to have your date, the venue and at the exact location on premises you want- you need to book ASAP!! Chelsea is an EXTREMELY busy woman with a lot on her plate!! I do think she needs an assistant especially around wedding season!! Lol!!! Chelsea does a wonderful job by herself, even though she does have a "team" that does wonders too!! She helped us through the whole process and gave some personal insight. She's very thorough with every single detail. She was AWESOME to talk to, deal with and plan with!!!! The food was AMAZING!!! Our guests couldn't stop raving about their appetizers during cocktail hour, the main meal for the reception (we picked out Country Side Glam Buffet), their cocktails, their rooms, and just the ATMOSPHERE itself is enough! The staff also plans meals for food allergies- a lot of other venues don't cater to this! Inside the Tent, it didn't feel like you were in a Tent. Don't judge a book by it's cover! Lol! We were the only wedding there on our day, so that definitely made it feel more special and enjoyable! We enjoyed working with Chelsea, the staff and Greek Peak!! The prices were extremely affordable! Some of my family and guests didn't REALLY want to travel 1.5 hours (minimum). After the wedding, they understood why we chose to have our wedding at Greek Peak. We, our families and friends, and other guests would HIGHLY RECOMMEND GREEK PEAK for a wedding, a getaway, a honeymoon. You name it!! Thank you so much Chelsea, Greek Peak's staff & Greek Peak!!!!! Our Wedding Day was PERFECT!!!!!!!!
Everything was perfect! The food was great, the staff was great, the timeline went absolutely seamlessly and it couldn’t happen without our wedding planner Chelsea. We had our ceremony and reception at their new venue “The Lookout.” While it is a bit more expensive than the other venues, it is worth EVERY CENT. You have the whole building to yourself all day & night. You feel like you are the only event in the entire resort. The venue itself is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever seen! They truly thought of every detail to make you feel like a queen for the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Any questions?
Although the venue is a gorgeous location, I wish I had listened to the countless reviews I read about what terrible experiences other brides had before having to go through it myself. Chelsea, the event coordinator has far too many weddings/rehearsals to attend each weekend. Our rehearsal dinner left us feeling forgotten about, it was over 2.5 hours long for mediocre tavern food. During our wedding, Chelsea forgot my son’s ring bearer box and never even apologized for it. At the reception, our champagne toast was taken before we had a chance to toast. Our dinners were sent out after having our salads for 5 minutes and our dinners were then taken away before we had a chance to even finish, some of our guests had taken 3 bites by the time the banquet manager took their food. We had a petite wedding and found out later on that the banquet woman joked with our dj that although our rehearsal was scheduled until 11, she could probably be “on her way home by 8:30”. Police showed up at 10:30 when a neighbor called a noise complaint on our wedding. Chelsea never scheduled our breakfast brunch the following morning so we ate at carvers. Breakfast took over 2.5 hours, I poured coffee for my guests and my table was done eating before other tables even had their food. At the water park, they weren’t giving our guests the discounted ticket rates so some of them left instead as they weren’t expecting to pay as much.
Before leaving on Sunday, I spoke with Nikki who seemed very helpful. She gave me a number to speak with John the manager. I was unable to get in contact with John and now Nikki will not return my calls either. I’ve since been given the phone number to Danielle who is the vice president. I’ve left her two voicemails without a response. It’s been 6 weeks since our wedding. Overall, Greek peak seems incredibly unprofessional to me, refuses to take care of problems, their staff is overworked, and they take on more than they can handle. I wish I had read a review like this one before my nightmare of a wedding weekend.
Greek Peak Mountain Resort was the perfect venue for our wedding! Chelsea was amazing to work with, making sure everything went the way we wanted it and even helped us with a last minute reception change! The fall leaves were absolutely gorgeous and you could see them from all angles - it’s truly a beautiful venue for the fall season. Everything went fantastic, food was delicious, and guests had a great time. Highly recommend!
We couldn't possibly say enough great things about our experience having our wedding at Greek Peak! Many of our wedding guests said that the event was one of the best weddings they're ever been to. Chelsea and the amazing team at Greek Peak have such a huge part in helping to make our vision a reality. We had our wedding at the new Lookout location. The venue was breathtaking. The food was excellent. The venue has a cool indoor/outdoor feel, which allowed for many guests to be inside dancing, while others could be outside near the fire pits or chatting. The ceremony location was amazing, and having it right next to the cocktail hour/reception venue was super convenient! Greek Peak arranged for a shuttle to pick guests up at the hotel and bring them right up to the venue, which was so convenient. The value of what we got for what we paid was incredible! My new husband and I would HIGHlY recommend Greek Peak to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue. Have your wedding here! You won't regret it!
The location is beautiful, and we got a great deal with the wedding being considered off season. The food was pretty good. But it is very hard to get ahold of the coordinator, Chelsea. We were very patient with her and were very understanding (since she was clearly stretched thin) up until the week before the wedding when she couldn't figure out how to bill our final invoice. We had to beg for the invoice to be figured out in order to pay on time. She also gave incorrect instructions to the waitstaff regarding how we wanted our wine at the tables set up. This led to one table getting no wine, and leaving no extra bottles to take home, which we were expecting some. She also brokea piece of our unity candle after the ceremony. Then she disappeared for the rest of the day. The head of the waitstaff was amazing. She was so kind and worked hard to find solutions to the wine situation, and let us know about the candle holder and that they would pay for a new one. No wedding goes perfectly of course, but these issues could have been fixed with Chelsea being more available/less overworked. She needs an assistant for sure.
I would however pick the same venue if I had to do it over again.
We are so incredibly happy we had our wedding at Greek Peak - the venue is perfect for what we were envisioning and the staff was amazing to work with. Chelsea especially is amazing and helped us plan every detail, put up with a ton of emails and questions, and did not let a single thing slip through the cracks. The entire day ran so smoothly and felt easy for us as the couple and all of our guests. Plus - the food was amazing and got rave reviews from our guests! The venue was also very accommodating of us changing our date due to COVID. We even got to have our day-after-party in the onsite waterpark - it was so much fun! We HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at Greek Peak!
I just had my wedding at Greek Peak on 10/2/2021. They were wonderful! Chelsea the event coordinator was excellent and extremely helpful in the planning process. I had my ceremony out by the gazebo and the reception at Trax. The food was fantastic and everything ran smoothly day off. There were a couple things that got left out but overall the important stuff was done! All the staff were wonderful and helped make the day very special.
We had a lot of trouble finding a venue that would give us the wedding weekend we were envisioning when we started looking in 2018. Everything we found that fit our vision was over our desired budget. We found Greek Peak because my mom had attended a conference there and decided to visit due to the great packages and things to do. When we first visited, while we liked it a lot, we honestly weren't sold on the available ceremony venues. However, we took a chance and sent Ben Sills a dream photo, and he and the team found the perfect place to match our vision! We were sold after visiting that new spot, and from that point on (early 2019 or so), we had the pleasure of working with Chelsea Flynn. I just tallied it up, and there were about 340 emails exchanged with Chelsea in total between 2019 and our (postponed) wedding in 2021, many of which were focused on options as we went through the pandemic, and many more were spent asking questions and finalizing the little details exactly how we wanted them. Through it all, Chelsea was courteous, friendly, professional, and very patient! She and her team went above and beyond to answer our questions and accommodate our wishes, even as they evolved over the past few years and through the pandemic. There are countless examples, but I will focus on the wedding weekend. Chelsea was there for our rehearsal, and then arrived early for our 5am hair/makeup start with the food we ordered and to check in. She was responsive via phone/text when we had questions. She helped drive me and my parents over to the ceremony, chatted with us while we waited to get started, and helped make sure that ran smoothly. She then made sure everything was set with the cocktail hour and reception and checked on us during the reception. The catering staff and bartender were also so kind and helpful! The whole weekend was beautiful and was exactly what we always hoped for - thank you so much to Chelsea, Ben, and the whole team for making our dream a reality!
Hope Lake Lodge was a beautiful and the perfect wedding venue for us. The entire day before our wedding, the day of, and the day after was absolutely perfect.
We worked with Chelsea Flynn for the majority of the time, and also Ben Sills. Talk about a dream team with them and their staff.
Chelsea is an amazing planner who is super organized and lets no detail go unnoticed. She also dealt with my Type-A, marketing/production planner myself, and all along I felt like we were a team. She got me. We were constantly on the same page with all steps. She kept us organized during the crazy moments, and also calm that her and her team had everything.
The day of, the set up was perfect. Cocktail hour was such a hit, and we had it in the main lobby of the lodge. Reception was such a dream, with how the staff set up the room, turned over our gift table to the desert table. They stayed with us, and made us feel so welcome. We LOVED how they came up to my husband and I at cocktail hour asking if we wanted a plate of all the apps served (heck yes, because we didn't get to have ONE). It was the little things like that, that really touched us the most.
Our guests loved the food and service; we felt it was a huge perk that we had plated salads and dinner rolls on the table when we went to the tent. Chelsea and team accommodated special Finger Lake wine, to have them uncorked on each table - another special detail.
Chelsea worked with all of our vendors and made sure they were on the same page. It's very important (at least to us) to have a Catering Director/Event Planner like that - someone willing to go above and beyond with contacting your vendors. It's with her dedication to our wedding that helped make it a dream.
Waterfalls Spa also did our bridal party hair and makeup. While I made the schedule, they stuck to it, and were even ahead of it by a full 45 minutes. I was really stressing over the time each of the girls was getting their services done, but had NOTHING to worry about! I do have to say, some of the hairstyles did not hold up, or we had to do some quick make-up retouches in the room. Overall though, we cannot complain, and had another enjoyable service!
Our guests made several comments to us (and still are) about it being one of the best weddings they've been to. The lodge itself provided accommodations, entertainment, dining and an overall awesome experience. A lot of our guests made a long-distance trip for our wedding, and a mini-vacation out of it! It was great to see our family taking advantage of the area; they loved the mountain coaster, waterpark, dining and the walking trails all around.
You really have an all-in package with choosing Hope Lake Lodge.
Thank you Chelsea and team for an unforgettable weekend.
Chelsea was excellent in terms of organizing and planning. She was reachable and thought of every detail. Her experience shows. Everything went smoothly and we were able to set up our stuff two days ahead of time due to no one being scheduled right before our Saturday June wedding. One issue: the outdoor glass tent panels are loose and bang against each other in the wind (it is loud). We stuffed cotton balls in the window panes and that resolved the issue.
Greek Peak was everything we wanted in a wedding venue. It was extremely affordable, amazingly so, considering what was included. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect and had enough experience to pay attention to the little things. For example, while I was waiting with my bridesmaids just before the ceremony, they brought us a pitcher of water. There was a person at the reception designated to help me get my food so that I wouldn't get anything on my dress. The kitchen was extremely accommodating to us bringing in a giant cooler of ice cream sandwiches rather than a cake. I see a lot of the other reviews specifically mention Chelsea and I found out why. She helped us plan, was available at a moment's notice once we arrived, and was personally involved through the entire event. That woman has her stuff together. Waterfalls Spa is located on the premises and was extremely convenient for us. They did a great job with hair, nails and makeup. My new husband and I even got a couple's massage the next day. It was fantastic. Our wedding was during what was probably one of the busiest days of the year for the resort and I couldn't tell. Later I heard that some of the guests who wanted to go to the Indoor Water Park weren't able to get in because it was too busy. Yes. They have an indoor water park at the hotel! Did I mention that the Honeymoon Suite is a loft with a spiral staircase? Beautiful. The only hitches were minor communication issues with the hotel that were easy to clear up. Nothing that affected our perfect day!
My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner, reception, and post-wedding brunch at Hope Lake Lodge and from start to finish it was an incredible experience. The minute we saw pictures we knew we wanted to have our wedding celebration here. Ben, the event sales manager, was informative, responsive and helpful in setting our dates and getting rooms blocked. After that Chelsea, the event coordinator, was a godsend. She tolerated our endless questions and requests with a smile on her face. She made sure each individual event went off without a hitch. The staff the entire weekend were helpful, hospitable, and overall gracious. Our guests were so pleased with the service, as were we! The environment at Greek Peak was exactly what we were looking for for our February wedding. If we had to we would do it all over again we would do it the exact same way. If you are thinking of this location for your wedding... DO IT!
Great experience having our wedding at Greek Peak! Chelsea who does the catering and day of coordinating is very organized and helpful! She made sure things were taken care before during and after! We wanted an all in one venue and this was perfect! We had our ceremony in the lobby and reception in the tent and it was rustic and classic all at the same time. The food was great and staff was friendly! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an all in one venue and you don’t have to worry about renting a lot (ie: tables, chairs, linens, silverware). They definitely know what they are doing!
When we were looking for venues we did a lot of searching for a place where everything is done in one place and people can come and enjoy an entire weekend away with us! Greek peak was exactly that. Tucked away in the mountains with that warm and cozy feeling made for a fantastic wedding weekend for us! Chelsea the wedding coordinator was amazing and made our wedding planning process so easy. She also was able to meet with us when we needed too and made our wedding day flawless. We were able to give her our decorations and she put everything together with her own fantastic twist! We couldn’t be happier with our day as the staff was kind and helpful as well as the food was excellent all weekend. Rehearsal dinner and our wedding was all we could ask for! Thank you❤️
Chelsea was absolutely amazing and answered texts so quickly which kept me calm. The venue is gorgeous and can accommodate indoor or outdoor weddings. The day of was much less hectic knowing that I could simply drop my ceremony decor off and Chelsea took care of it for me and sent me a photo beforehand. It was stunning and the whole day was a dream!
Chelsea Flynn is the most supreme event coordinator! I could not imagine a more competent or professional person to plan and execute your event. She coordinated our wedding reception and we were completely delighted! She is always thinking ahead and cheerfully coming up with solutions as obstacles arise. She is organized, thorough, considerate and will totally put your mind at ease for your big day. I heartily give her the highest recommendation!
When we began to search for a venue, our neighbors suggested Greek Peak because that is where they were getting married in the summer. We were planning a winter wedding and it was the perfect place. Having the ceremony right in front of the fireplace was so cozy and homey. We received several compliments about how great it was. The best part with picking Greek Peak, you pick your ceremony, reception, and catering all in one place! The food was great and the workers were amazingly helpful throughout the day.
Chelsea was great to work with during the entire process...especially on the wedding day. She got extra decorations from her closet because she thought it would go perfect with our theme...she was the best! I highly recommend Greek Peak!!!
Me and my wife tied the knot at Greek Peak last July and i couldn't have asked for a better venue.
Chelsea and Ben were super easy to work with and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing. I still fantasize about the mini beef Wellington and bacon wrapped scallops i had for appetizers. The honeymoon suite was fantastic, very roomy with a beautiful view. All of my guests are still raving about how much fun they had and many guests have specifically returned to Greek Peak just to stay the night and enjoy all the activities. Perfect venue if you have guests coming from out of town and you love the outdoors and amazing food.
We had an AMAZING October wedding at Greek Peak/Hope Lake Lodge! We had an outdoor wedding under the awning at the main entrance of the lodge, which was perfectly blocked off for us so that there were no strangers in the background of our wedding photos. Our cocktail hour was held in the lobby of the lodge. Our reception was in the tent. It was a beautiful venue. It was a little bit chilly in the tent at the beginning, but warmed up as the night went on and people were up and moving. They are looking for a new weddings coordinator, as the one that we originally booked with left and the catering manager took over. We had a few minor issues, like the wrong type of chicken skewers for cocktail hour, the notes about what wines we wanted going missing, they forgot to serve our cookie trays when they were supposed to, and a few other minor details that were easily rectified or ignored. The pricing for the hotel stays for our group was very reasonable. The food is delicious; the filet minion was to die for. They treated us well during our whole stay there. The staff at the front desk of the lodge are not the most competent, but there was always someone in management that was able to help us rectify everything. In the fall they have fall foliage rides on the ski lift, as well as a ropes/zip lining course, and some mountain biking trails, which gave our guests something to do as they all traveled for the weekend. I'm so glad we had our wedding here; the venue is beautiful. I didn't like the indoor ballroom as a reception venue; the tent is certainly the way to go. I recommend considering a daytime reception to take advantage of the view of the mountain in the daylight. (Our nighttime photos don't include any of the great views from the tent). I hope they get their sales/weddings department figured out; they've got a great product to sell!
We utilized Hope Lake Lodge as our primary accommodations for out-of-town guests, our honeymoon suite, bridal party (getting ready, hair and makeup, bridesmaid sleepover, etc.), as well as a Sunday wedding brunch for the bridal party. The woman we worked with months before the wedding was friendly and quick to respond to help set up the room block and reasonable responsiveness for the brunch! Our coordinator for the room block was flexible and nice enough to help make sure that we were in a beautiful suite for the girls and I but that the room could be partially closed off to a smaller 2 floor suite for my new husband and I to use as a newlywed suite, which would be refreshed for us after the girls and I had used it. The suite was beautiful!
The problems came when we actually utilized all the services our wedding weekend. 1. Our wedding welcome treats were at first missing and then I found out (witnessed myself) being handed out to the WRONG wedding 2. Most disappointing, I appropriately requested cleaning services after we were done with the suite morning of the wedding and it was NEVER refreshed to use as a newlywed suite for my husband and I. I made them change linens for us so we didn't have to spend the first night as newlyweds in a bed slept in by my sister-in-law (yeah imagine that for a minute). 3. We found out toward the end of the stay that in reality our suite had actually not been cleaned in days before we even reserved it 4. Our private area reservation for the Sunday brunch was again given to the WRONG wedding!!
The entire place is a gorgeous wooden lodge with beautiful suites and views and wonderful food once we ate brunch. There is also plenty to do with outdoor activities nearby which we all took advantage of after the wedding! In the end managers were also apologetic, comped us our wedding night, and made up in additional ways which we were thankful for! We still felt it important to list these points for improvement though in hopes that communication regarding cleaning services and multiple weddings are improved at a higher end resort like this.
We planned our wedding at Greek Peak from our home in CA but the whole process was very easy and pleasant. We worked mainly with Chelsea Flynn, the catering manager, throughout the process and could not have been more pleased. Chelsea was attentive and informative and helped us put together the entire event, from rehearsal dinner to reception. She also was in contact with our florist, photographer, cake baker, and DJ to ensure everything went smoothly. She was very flexible and allowed us to schedule in-person meetings around our trips to NY and used phone conferencing when necessary.
The venue is beautiful and all-inclusive, offering food, accommodations, entertainment, and numerous options for ceremony and reception location, depending on your wedding size and preference. The surrounding area is picturesque and the resort has everything you could need. The rooms were wonderful and the decor was great. All of the staff went above and beyond to make our guests and us feel truly taken care of.
The resort also has a full service spa, where my bridesmaids and I got ready before the ceremony. Everyone in the spa took such great care of us and it really made for a relaxing and fun experience. We were given a private room to unwind between services and were even brought food.
We are so pleased with our experience working with Chelsea and the rest of the staff at Greek Peak.
