PERMANENTLY CLOSED THEIR BUSINESS AND COMMITTED FRAUD!!! Paid in full for my dress that the store never ordered!! They didn't tell anyone, including the landlord of the property that they were closing and went MIA. News articles are posted everywhere online and so many other brides in the same boat! This is a shame for the wedding industry, Gretchen you are the worst kind of person.
My impression of Gretchen's is that your experience is highly dependent on the consultant you get. For the record, mine was INCREDIBLE, and she never pressured me into one option or even purchasing anything. It spoke volumes when she said "You'll know when you find *the dress*, and it's not something I can determine for you." I spent a little more than I wanted to, but the quality of the dress was phenomenal. The reason why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that you can only try on a limited amount per session (and they have a large selection in store that you can't find online). I was lucky enough to fall in love with the second dress I tried on, but I know not everyone is that lucky.
Gretchens was amazing!!! I found my wedding dress here a year before my wedding. The whole staff is super nice and friendly. They had such a good selection of dresses and they have off the rack dresses too. I ended up with one of the Disney dresses!!! I’m obsessed with Disney so it was really cool that they had the dresses there. They always took care of me. My mom bought her mother of the bride dress here and she loves it!
My appointment at Gretchen's Bridal was my very first time searching for a dress for my wedding. I went in with lots of excitement, but left feeling very discouraged, disappointed, and guilty.
When trying on dresses, I did not feel like my stylist was listening to my feedback. I gave her direction on some dress styles I would love to try, and I felt as if she continued to bring me dresses that did not match my description. Since she was not bringing me dresses I was interested in, of course I didn't love a good portion of dresses. She seemed to be disappointed in me and was making me feel guilty for not 'saying yes to a dress.' When I told her I was going to continue shopping around, she tried to talk me out of it. I felt pressured to purchase a dress, which left me feeling guilty when I didn't.
It truly seemed like her only interest was making commission. She didn't seem to be having fun, she wasn't hyping me up, never one time complimented me in a dress (whereas EVERY other stylist I have seen since has made me feel beautiful in every dress) and overall I felt stressed out and pressured by her. It seemed very unprofessional.
However, I do want to say that Gretchen's Bridal as a whole seemed to have a wide selection of dresses, at a GREAT price! I wish I could have gotten paired with another stylist because I believe I could have had a much better experience.
I got my wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses and my mom's mother of the bride dress here. They had a great selection and reasonable prices. I was pleasantly surprised with the cost of my dress! My bridesmaids dress colors and style turned out beautiful and we were able to ship them directly to my girls for $20. My only critique is that the way they size you ended up being multiple sizes too big for me. My wedding dress needed a lot of alternations which cost me a couple extra hundred dollars. The alteration lady recommended by Gretchen's was shocked by the size of the dress and asked where I got it (I did not loose any weight either). My dress came in really fast so my mom knew that they tended to size too big and was able to order a size that she felt more comfortable with not the size recommended by Gretchen's and she needed very minimal alterations. I think they have quality dresses and selection but I wish I had been better guided on sizing.
Absolutely in love with my dress!! But the lady I had working with us pressured me a ton to buy the dress for them. It was very uncomfortable and made me not enjoy shopping there as much. I actually didn't buy it that day and went back later after I had shopped around more. When I said I wasn't going to buy it then, they became very hostile which I did not appreciate. For such an exciting time, they should want you to find what is best for you and not pressure you into buying something from them. Also, do NOT go to the alterations place they recommend next door - Yong's Alterations. Yong's didn't hem an entire layer of my poofy dress and I didn't notice until the day of my wedding when I sat down and got stabbed by multiple pins. Upon further investigation, we found over 20 pins in my dress. We had to makeshift hem my dress with safety pins so it would stay up on the wedding day. I even took my dress back to Gretchen's for them to steam it on the day of my wedding and they didn't bother letting me know that it hadn't been fully hemmed even though they had to lift all the layer to steam them all. Super disappointed with the service, even if I did absolutely love my dress.
I’ve seen very mixed reviews for this place and I’m super surprised. I went here numerous times and always had a really good experience. I originally picked a dress and put down the down payment but didn’t finish ordering. I came back later and had changed my mind and was able to use my down payment towards the new dress. I actually bought a Justin Alexander dress off the rack during one of their sales and got a killer deal. I also got a great military discount and a big discount on my veil. I saved a ton on my dress and veil by using them and was extremely happy. I spent less than $1000 on both Every time I went the consultants were extremely friendly. The owner is also very nice. They’ve also renovated in the shop looks so much better. They had the most dresses and styles out of anywhere I went. Quite frankly they were probably the friendliest out of the places I went to and the least pushy. I went to a lot of salons around Indy. Even my mom said this place was the best we had went to.
Bridal superstore was fantastic. They were super kind and helpful in helping me pick out my dress. I told them what I was looking and they helped pick out dresses I may like then picked more when I wasn't happy with them. My dress didn't take long to come in either. Everyone was so friendly and amazing!
I was a little worried going in after seeing all of the negative reviews on here, but I had a wonderful experience shopping here. Everyone I encountered seemed friendly and the lady helping me out was great. We were given plenty of space to pick out and discuss the dresses without feeling any pressure at all to hurry up and pick one. They also have such a variety of dresses that are reasonably priced.
I loved my experience here!
I had no idea what I was doing when I walked in, but I was met at the door and given some "I'm a bride" goodies. A lady named Deborah helped me and explained everything so clearly and made the whole process seamless. It was all amazing and I felt like a princess.
The only issue I had (why it's 4 stars rather than 5) was that I trusted them to size my dress correctly and the dress they helped me order was quite big, my weight didn't change any and even after alterations it still was too big. This was very disappointing. But I still wore it and loved it.
I really liked the styles that Bridal Superstore carries - they had exactly what I was looking for. I liked that I was able to choose my own dresses to try on, rather than them being chosen for me. My consultant was Paige. Paige helped me take pictures of my final choice. Everything went really smoothly. My only issue was that Paige had told me I could have a $500 discount if I bought the dress that day, and I didn't receive the discount. This is partially my fault because I forgot about it until I had already paid and left the store, but I wish they had honored that promise.
When I ordered my wedding dress, my bridal consultant was fantastic and she made sure that I found the dress that I wanted. My bridesmaids went three weeks after me and got their dresses ordered. The consultant was uninterested and seemed like she didn't care. We were told that it would be roughly 6 months on my dress and 5 months on the bridesmaid dresses. My dress came in at almost the 6 month mark but nobody said anything about my bridesmaid dresses. I called them in August and was told that only one bridesmaid dress was in and that the other two wouldn't be in until the first of September. My wedding was the first weekend in October. So my other bridesmaids did not receive their dresses until the first part of September and was rushed in getting them altered for the wedding. We ordered everything in January of that year to give things enough time to get in and we still got theirs late. The worst part is, two of my bridesmaids were fitted wrong so, when they tried on their dresses, they didn't fit them even remotely close to how they should. My sister, wears a size 1 pant size, and they ordered her a size 8 dress. She could fit her arms into her dress and it was hanging off her. They had to take her dress in to a size 4. The manager was nice enough to cover all of it that needed fixed except the hem which wasn't that expense. The manager was not as willing to take in the other bridesmaid dress that was incorrectly sized. We fought for three hours until they agreed to cover the waist and hips. I would not recommend them for bridesmaid dresses at all!
Would not recommend. You can go elsewhere to get more bang for your buck. I went here to get a dress for my rehearsal dinner. When the lady that checked me in told the person who was supposed to be my consultant that I would not be getting a wedding dress and just a rehearsal dinner dress the consultant said, "No thank you." and walked away from her.
The lady who checked me in ended up being the one that had to help me as no other consultant seemed interested. Despite the bad attitudes, I found a dress I loved. When they took my measurements they recommended that I get a dress that was EIGHT sizes larger than my average size. I was baffled and when I asked to have one size smaller, they highly discouraged it, and even made me sign paperwork stating that I was not taking their advice on the dress size.
Low and behold when my dress came in and I tried it on it was too big on me. Could you have imaged how big the dress would have been if I went with their sizing advice? Now I am left with a $250 dress that is too big and am going to have to spend even more money getting it altered and taken in everywhere.
Long story short, because of the immediate negativity we received from this place and the result of the dress I bought, I would not recommend any bride to go here. If you want to be pampered, as I think a bride should when picking out their wedding dress, then you should go elsewhere.
had a wonderful experience at the Bridal Superstore! I was a walk in appointment. I worked with Brianna. She was so friendly and helpful even though I told her at the beginning of the appointment I was more looking to just try on dresses rather than purchase. She did a great job working with my budget and helped me pick out several different options based on what inspiration I showed her. I didn't mean to buy a wedding dress without my friends and family there with me. When I found my dress Brianna was so accommodating and helpful, allowing me facetime my mom and my sister before I made my decision. She took lots of pictures of me from different angles to help me get a better looks. She gave me lots of different options so that I could come back and try on dresses with my bridesmaids if I needed to. Even throughout the check out process everyone was so helpful. They offered to carry my dress out to my car since I was by myself. They also had so many recommendations for good tailors throughout the city.
I would not recommend going here at all. Their selection is very limited and does not resemble a "superstore," they do not have enough employees and the consultant I had was flat out rude.
I scheduled my appointment a month and a half in advance and when I got there they gave me a consultant that immediately told me " I don't ever work over here" when we went to look at the bridesmaid dresses. So I showed her a picture of what I had in mind and instead of trying to find me something similar that I might like, she replied "we don't have anything like that" and stood there while I looked on my own. Then we went to look at veils. I told her I attended the Perfect Wedding Guide Expo and before I could finish, she goes ".... and?" very sarcastically.
so I asked if i could use the PWG wedding bucks I got as a discount and she told me she didn't know. So then I asked if i could put 50% down on the veil since it had to be ordered and she once again replied with " I don't know." I had to prod her to go find out any information and the entire time she acted annoyed she had to help me. If this was the first place we would have gone, this would have ruined the entire day and my dress shopping experience. Thankfully I found a dress at my first appointment and didn't have to dress shop here.
Great dress selection, my consultant let us go through the dresses and watched what we commented positively on and what we seemed not to like. She was efficient but didn't make us feel we were in a rush. In the end she helped me decide on a gorgeous dress that was in budget and made me feel gorgeous . Really a positive experience.
I got my gown and bridesmaid dresses from the Bridal Superstore, and the discount for my bridesmaids was nice, but if I could do it over again, I wouldn't get their dresses from here. My bridal gown was beautiful and everything I had ever dreamed of. The bridesmaid dresses ended up being beautiful, but they didn't come in until 2 weeks before the wedding. There was a delay on my dresses and I had to call them every day for a week in order to find this out. Their customer service needs some work, and maybe a bit more of a heads up if there's a problem with the dresses would be nice.
Tish helped me find my beautiful dress, even though it was not anything like I had assumed I would like! I also did not think I wanted a veil but she found the perfect one. She was very sweet and helpful throughout the process. They ordered the perfect size as it will not require alterations beyond hemming and cups. And it arrived in 3 weeks instead of 4 months! Lovely experience overall.
**This was from a letter I sent to the store.** Based on my gown shopping experience, I would have recommended this store to everyone and anyone who asked. My consult, Dee Ann, was wonderful. I left that day having found my perfect dress and accessories to complete the bridal look I had envisioned for myself. We then had an issue with the color of the bridesmaids dresses. Our consultant, guided us to a designer who had the exact color I wanted. The color I chose was called Oasis. The designer also had a color named Teal. When my bridal party signed the paperwork they didn't question the color of Teal because they thought that is what I wanted. It wasn't until the dresses arrived that the color mix up was noticed. Even though the manager said this was her worse nightmare, very little was done to correct the situation. I had to "settle" for this secondary color. Since we had gotten all of our wedding attire from you, the idea of an additional discount from you was appealing. My groom was happy with the selection of suits and was able to design his ideal look and the look for the rest of his party. From this point though, the customer service experience changed quite dramatically. It was difficult to get a straight answer to questions we had. None of my questions were out of the ordinary, in my opinion and we complied with your given timelines. When my future father and brother-in-law came to get measured for their suits on December 27, 2017, the record of our selections could not be found. I was with them, fortunately, and had recorded what my groom wanted on my own, so I was able to give Kody the information. A similar situation happened when the groom, his brother and step-father came to be measured on February 3, 2018. Granted this was a Saturday, but we had called ahead to let you know they were coming – as per your request.
I was originally told that you would not be able to get suits small enough for our junior groomsmen. After searching and not finding anything I liked, I decided to double check with you (the store). When I called that day, I was told “Oh yes. We can do that.” When my father came in to be measured on February 5, I reminded him about the discount off his rental. He mentioned it to the consultant but it was still forgotten at the time of checkout. Fortunately, my Dad was still in town and could return to the store to be refunded, after I received a call from Kody acknowledging the oversight. These little incidents I chalked up to the change in ownership, training of new staff, and some things that go along with the operating of a business. However, when the bridesmaid’s dress situation occurred, I became increasingly more frustrated with the poor customer service we have received. Dealing with your store has become the biggest source of stress in my wedding preparations. And the stress has been felt by others, too. When one of my bridesmaids called to defend me, she was called “Evil” for her perceived “attitude” about the situation. My DJ went out of business in January and dealing with that situation was less stressful than what I have had to go through with you. Later in the evening yesterday, I received two voicemails from Cindy saying that “with the wedding being just over a month away, “we” really need the groomsmen to come in and get measured for their suits.” As I documented earlier, this had been done by the majority the groom’s party already.
This staff chooses which customers are worth of respect and which are not. My fiancee stood at the checkout counter with her > $500 dress ready to checkout. As she stood waiting, the young cashier looked to the right of my fiancee and then looked to the left, and asked the group of customers if they had been helped, and if they are ready to checkout. My fiancee was stood there 5 minutes before these other groups, so she had to interject (politely) to say she was ready to checkout. There was not even an apology. The cashier then went on to mock my fiancee after asking her when she was getting married. When my fiancee replied in 1 month, the young cashier looked at my fiancee disgustingly as if it was pitiful of her to pick up an evening dress at the last minute.
When we arrived that following week (March 16th), to collect the dress. We stood at the front counter, while many staff members made eye contact, for over 5 minutes, again without being greeted. 5-7 minutes passed, a group of 3 walked into the front door, and one of the young girls at the counter eagerly greeted those 3 ladies with open arms, and was very polite in offering help and insuring they had a positive shopping experience. Now that this is our 2nd time being humiliated, we no longer gave them the benefit of doubt and assumed that this staff is evidently making targeted decisions in deciding who will and who will not be treated with some basal level of RESPECT.
Yes, I was furious, but I still did not give them the pleasure of overreacting. I approached the young lady with a smile and told her that we had been waiting there at the counter for quite some time and we had not been offered any help and we were not greeted entering their store. She gave no apology. My fiancee went over to inspect the dress under duress from all of the nasty stares and obvious 'small talk' they were having about me and my fiancee behind the counter. I wonder what did we ever do to this staff to make them so disgusted with our presence? Not one time were we confrontational. I refused to give them the pleasure of using that as an excuse for their behavior, so I would like for this staff to explain themselves. So, under duress, my fiancee inspected the dress and quickly signed to escape the chaos. The one time we were greeted or heard the words "thank you" happened as we walked out of the door. When we arrived home, my fiancee noticed a hole in the top collar part which must've happened when they were 'fixing' the dress by pulling/clipping out the hanging threads.
I waited the next day to call (today) to let them know about the hole. I wasn't going tell them anything about the horrible experience we had there because I wanted to wash my hands with them and move on with the beautiful dress my wife had gotten from that store. I had to call 3 times because the call was ‘terminated’ the first two times after being put on hold. I told them there was an issue with the dress. After a third call, they told me that a note was left for management and they would give me a call before the end of business day. Management did not give me a call, which by this time I was not surprised. I have no other option now but to be left to my own thoughts and speculations as to why two people looking for a nice day out to find a beautiful dress were treated like dirt.
I absolutely loved my wedding dress! The sales consultant was super helpful and friendly. I tried dress after dress and then she pulled one off the rack that I just fell in love with. I knew before I even stepped out of the dressing room to look at myself in the mirror that this was the dress. I’m so thankful for their help in making my big day special!
Joe, Gretchen, and all of the staff at The Bridal Superstore go above and beyond to help you find the dress! The process was easy and stress free. Not only were they helpful, but also very fun to work with.
Rude employees, not interested in your requests for specifics of gowns, and no patience for their brides or guests. I couldn’t take pictures of dresses I tried on, which would have been nice to know at the beginning because I have family that live in the Philippines so having their input on picking my dress is a must. If this business can’t respect that then I have to take my business elsewhere. Please go somewhere that actually cares about the vision of your wedding instead of making money off you!
They were so amazing! I walked right in and they welcomed me with open arms. I found the perfect dress here and they had tons of options in all different price ranges. LOVE THEM!
The entire staff was nothing but kind and sweet to me. Our appointment was only supposed to be an hour, but my consultant let me keep trying dresses for an extra half hour and didn't rush me whatsoever. The price of my dress couldn't be beat either. A dress right off the runway for under 2000? Where else can you get that? Lots of sizes and different styles. My dress came in super fast too! When I purchased it they gave me a 'swag bag' of bridal goodies. It was a total dream experience.
This place is very professional and carries a ton of styles and designers. The pricing seems fair, and you usually get a discount if you buy a dress the same day you try it on. My dress was ordered and arrived in a timely manner and in the correct size (didn't try to sell the wrong size to get the alterations). Two things: compared to other bridal salons, some of the staff clearly didn't care that much about your "experience," so don't go in expecting princess treatment even if you've gotten it somewhere else. Also, they DO NOT allow you to take photos of any dresses (even off the discount rack) unless you buy it. TL;DR The purchasing and receiving experience as fine; staff could be a little more enthusiastic; no photos.
I went shopping here and did end up buying my dress, but the experience wasn't great. It started out with my consultant asking me what I was looking for and I told her some ideas of things I'd like to see but that I wasn't quite sure yet. Then she just sets me loose in the store with 5 tags - the dresses are organized by brand. For someone who didn't have a solid vision of what they were looking for, some guidance would have been helpful to avoid that overwhelming feeling. In addition to being hands off the woman was a bit condescending to both myself and my mother. She had an assistant helping me into the dresses and this woman saved the sale! The main consultant was extremely condescending to her and treating her like she was stupid, even though she was doing something that I had asked her for that the main consultant hadn't heard.
Had there not been a 20% off your purchase incentive, I would have passed on the dress and continued shopping elsewhere. The dress came in about a month ahead of schedule with no issues. I just wish it had been a happier experience.
On I went to the Posie Patch superstore. The staff was friendly, and it was very clean. I just didn't like the set up. You are given 5 tags to put on dresses that you want to try on. Now, I wear a 16 or 18 (depending on the dress) Essentially there was nothing for me to try on at this store.
At this point I knew my dress was at Bridal by Young. I changed my Davids Bridal Appointment to a bridesmaid appointment, and found a dress that now matched my whole wedding theme. (Lauren helped me realized that I had a theme beginning to appear!)
Save yourself the time, and just go to Bridal by Young!
I had a WONDERFUL experience at Posie Patch! I was searching for my wedding dress and found my perfect one. It was on sale, lace, just my size, and the only one left! Julie worked with me and was absolutely wonderful. She listened to what I wanted and was very respectful of my budget. She gave me a lot of tips/feedback and made me feel like an absolute queen. I could tell that she genuinely wanted me to feel like a bride and was eager to help. I would recommend this store to anyone and have already told others about it! Thank you for being a part of my big day!
First of all store has a big inventory of dresses but very little veils and accessories ( compared to dresses). Walked in and was greeted immediately. Told the assist I was looking for a veil and jewelry for myself and bridal party. Told her I drove from Illinois to the store to make my purchase. She looks me up and down then whispers, "how much do you want to spend because these go up to $700." Just for kicks I told her show me the lowest price. She said those start at $125. Later I asked for something in $250 range. Still didn't see anything that said WOW. Looked at jewelry and still no wow factor. She NEVER showed me anything for my 7 bridesmaids. I tell her thanks for her but I will continue to look. She then turns to me and say " well maybe you will do better at Charming Charlie. I mean they are cheaper and have a nice bridal section that you may like." Hold up. Number one she kept looking me up and down. Lady are you racist? Is it because I walked in wearing leggings, a sweatshirt and gym shoes? Surely you didn't think I drove from Illinois to Indianapolis to be told go to Charming Charlie? Did I ever say a max price point? Well check this out. This black lady in a leggings and a sweatshirt had $5000 in her purse to spend in your store! Thanks for rudeness and racist comments. I'll be sure to pass my experience along.
After reading very mixed reviews of this place, I went against my better judgement and made an appointment to take my maid of honor here to try on bridesmaid dresses. Big mistake. The consultant helping us wasn't especially friendly or genuine but did select dresses that fit the style we were looking for. Trying on the first few dresses went okay but the consultant became increasingly unkind to my maid of honor as we eliminated those first few dresses. When my maid of honor didn't fit well into one of the samples (she's busty but not large), the consultant very rudely and harshly refused my maid of honor's repeated request that I see the dress to see if it might work if ordered in a larger size. We left with my maid of honor in tears. There is just no excuse for the rudeness and body shaming. With so many wonderful bridal stores in Indianapolis (we had positive experiences at 4 other stores), spare yourself a bad experience and go elsewhere.
I just found my DREAM wedding dress on Saturday! Shopping here was such an exciting, comfortable, and relaxing experience. Theresa, our bridal consultant, was just amazing! She completely put us at ease and created a fun experience for all of us! She was so friendly, respectful, supportive, and knowledgeable! My mom passed away a week before our planned shopping trip. My sister and I entered the Bridal Superstore with quite the mix of emotions. Theresa immediately put us at ease and was so sensitive to our situation. She helped us find the perfect dress! She shared in our joy and happiness at finding it AND with our celebration of my mom's veil matching it perfectly! I highly recommend this wonderful store and Theresa to any upcoming bride! Thank you so much for helping make this experience special and memorable!!
I must give it 5 stars because my daughter found her perfect DREAM dress here. The experience was so special. This wasn't the first place we had been and honestly hadn't had a bad experience anywhere else either. I had called ahead and knew what to expect. The selecting of the 5 dresses was easy as all the dresses were displayed so nicely. The sections were explained clearly and so we knew where to begin the search. We did have a budget and that was respected from the beginning. We never felt pressured to go above that. Nancy was amazing. She kept us girls on track while letting us have our special moment to cry happy tears when we knew "THE" dress was found. While scheduling your appointments, I would include the Bridal Superstore.
I loved the Bridal Superstore. Katy, my consultant, seemed very experienced. She was very honest and didn't mess around, which I appreciated, after having been to three other stores prior. She would bring me a dress, ask my opinion, and if I didn't like it, she listened as to why and quickly found another dress.
The selection of dresses is unmatched and of incredible quality. I literally bought the dress of my dreams for a great price- I honestly didn't think it was possible! They also have great deals on bridesmaid dresses and the men's tux rentals.
I am not one to write bad reviews ever but my goodness. The vibe from walking in the door was awful. There were SO many rules. You can only take one person back with you to get the dress on, only 2 can accompany you to pick out options, you can't pull them yourself, no children at all-however they bent the rules for someone right next to us but COULD NOT for us(newborn in a car seat). I would never recommend this store to any one. There was another dress I wanted to try on but was rushed out of the store because of the next appointment. You lost my business!
My experience at the Bridal Superstore was phenomenal! Katy helped me find the dress of my dreams! I went into my appointment with the goal to find the style I wanted for a wedding gown. This was the first time I had tried on dresses, I had no idea what I wanted. I picked out some dresses and Katy also picked out a few dresses she thought would go well with my body type. The last dress I tried on was one that Katy had picked out and I fell in love! It was perfect. Katy was incredibly personable and super helpful. I left the store to go to another appointment and my experience didn't come close to my experience at the Bridal Superstore. They picked out all of my dresses to try on and they just really weren't me. I couldn't stop thinking about the Bridal Superstore and how much more personable they were. After my second appointment I went back to the Bridal Superstore, tried the dress on again and bought the dress! I would definitely recommend this shop!
Walked in to see if we could look at bridesmaids dresses. The guy said that you must have an appointment. Even tho they were dead!! Basically turned us down. I drove over an hour away and I will never bring my business here. I would give no stars if that was an option.
One star is too good of a rating for this company. By far the WORST bridal experience I have ever experienced. The policy that children weren't welcome started the experience off with a very sour taste, the selection in my price range as a maximum of $1000 was a joke... it's a discount gown store, there should be a far better selection than they had for that range. The few dresses I did try on I had to walk all the way to the front entrance because none of my guests were allowed back to see me back in the big room where the fitting rooms were, which I was one of two brides there at the time meaning there was more than enough room for my guests back there. Lastly I felt rushed during the entire shopping process there. By the end of the appointment I had a bridal melt down. I would never suggest this place to anyone (also the store was filthy...).
I liked how you can shop for the dresses you want to try on - definitely a good option / destination for finding your dress!
Had the best time finding my dress! Teresa made it so easy and enjoyable! Would recommend to anyone!
I had a great experience with Posie Patch. They made me feel special and bridal unlike any other store! I bought my dress from them and am so excited!
I had visited 5 other bridal stores in the Indianapolis area, and the Bridal Superstore blew me out of the water! I had tried on dresses at other stores that I really liked and was considering, but Teresa made sure I found the PERFECT dress. The personalized service at this store was top notch. Teresa helped me pull a few dresses that were my style, and let me roam around the store and pick 5 dresses I wanted to try on. It was awesome because I actually got to look through the entire selection and pick out dresses I wanted to try. I ended up being torn between 2 dresses. I had an appointment at another store, and went to the other store and came back to the Superstore to purchase my dress. Teresa was more than accommodating and made sure we were going to decide between the two dresses without being pushy at all. She even had straps that we could add onto the strapless dress and this is ultimately what helped make my decision. She let me take the time I needed to decide. She put the veil on my and I actually started to tear up! I never thought I would have this moment. I said yes to the dress and could not be happier! Teresa and Nancy then did my measurements to make sure we ordered the correct size. I am so excited for my dress to come in and to get to work with Teresa again! I felt welcomed and truly cared about, and I did not have that at any other bridal store I went to. People were nice at other stores, but at the Bridal Superstore I felt like they genuinely cared about me and I felt so special!!
Love the dress selections. They could update the salon though. I don't like the fact that you can't take photos.
Teresa was amazing! I went into my appointment with my mind set on a certain dress & ended up buying a wedding dress completely different than what I had initially wanted. She was incredibly helpful and was so nice to my bridesmaids that came along with me. She was genuine, knew what she was talking about and not pushy at all. I was so pleased with my overall experience. Even at checkout all the women at the counter were very nice. Thank you again!
My consultant Teresa was amazing! She made my experience just the way it should have been...... There is only one issue I had here and that was that my daughter could not go back with me because of her age! She is a bridesmaid and I feel there should be an exception if they are in the bridal party!!!! I totally understand why u don't want kids back there, but sometimes the rules need to be broken! Teresa was the reason I bought a dress! Ask for her when making an apt! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Over all great experience!
I went in on 5/7/16 without an appointment scheduled. I had been looking at wedding dresses on-line and had even gone to one other store but really had no idea what I wanted. DeeAnn greeted us right away and was able to get us in. She showed us around the store and where all of the different dresses were located what everything meant on the tags. I selected 6 gowns to try on. The 2nd gown I tried on I fell in love with as soon as I saw myself in the mirror. DeeAnn was very helpful in getting every detail worked out so I could order my gown. She made sure I knew the whole process and said once they call me to let me know my gown has arrived, she would be willing to come in during the week to meet with me if it works out better for my schedule (since she usually only works on Saturday). She really made this whole process very easy and so wonderful for me! I highly recommend Bridal Superstore and DeeAnn to anyone looking for any of their bridal needs over any other place!
My maid of honor and I stopped in to browse, we didn't have an appointment but they were fine with that. We were helped by Deborah, she is super friendly, I told her my budget and style I liked and within an hour I had my dress that I loved and we also found my MOHs dress! They make you feel like the bride and not just a customer. I highly suggest shopping here!
The absolute worst in customer service. The staff is unbelievably rude and they ordered the wrong size wedding dress. The manger won't give you his name and they treat all their clients terrible.
AMAZING experience. My parents, aunt, and I all felt so welcome, and the lady who helped me (Teresa) was absolutely incredible. She actually chose the dress that I ended up buying! She knew exactly what style and color would look best on my curly red-headed, fair-skinned, curvy self! (I went with a Casablanca champagne/ivory/silver Lotus from the 2016 collection.) I am SO thankful that she helped me that day, and I'm really looking forward to going back for my fittings!!!
I recently purchased my wedding dress at the Bridal Superstore and Deborah worked with my budget, my color request and my age to find a dress that my new Husband Loved! I felt gorgeous and was treated like a queen! I highly recommend coming here, and all my worries melted away!
We had a great experience at Posie Patch. Teresa was knowledgeable, helpful and fun! I was looking for a dress that I had seen in a bridal magazine and we found it at Posie Patch!

Going dress shopping here was so much fun. You got to look around the store and pick which dresses you got to try on. At other stores they pick based off what you tell them, this made it more fun. I found my dress immediately but tried on other ones just to appease my mom. They had a great variety. I had a great lady go through my budget and help guide me through the process. Loved the experience. After getting my dress in I went next door for alterations, and she was FANTASTIC too. I got to walk right over with my dress on and she did my alterations right then. She did a fantastic job too.
Had a great experience here Saturday. Deborah was extremely helpful. I merely gave her a description of a few elements I liked and didn't like then she went looking while myself and my party looked too. She ended up picking out the perfect dress, I couldn't be more pleased with it. When I came back that evening they quickly took my measurements and helped me decide the proper size to order. The whole experience with this salon was great. All of their staff was smilies and politeness.
I came in to the store first thing Saturday morning without an appointment just to get some ideas and prices. They were able to fit me in with an appointment right away. My consultant Tish was great, she really helped me to make up my mind, helping me to not confuse myself with all the different dresses. I left the store having purchased my dress and saving that amazing 20%.
Had a great experience at Posie's! DeeAnne was absolutely wonderful! She's very personable , and I loved that she helps you narrow down your dresses so you don't get overwhelmed . I would HIGHLY recommend this shop to everyone, because they have such a wide variety at great prices and DeeAnne will help keep you on track .
Bridal Superstore makes brides cry... and not in the good way.
I live in Chicago, but the three out of seven of my bridesmaids live in Indianapolis. I booked my appointment at Bridal Superstore based on a friends recommendation. I went with two of my bridesmaids and was impressed with the huge selection of dresses in a variety of colors. We picked out about 7 dresses to try on, and narrowed it down to one, a gorgeous Kanali K lace dress in teal. We were told that we were not allowed to take pictures, because the store has "strict agreements with these designers." Our stylist took my bridesmaids measurements and wrote down the dress information on card for me. I was informed that they did not have a current color swatch for this Kanali K dress because it was so new. I asked if I could have a swatch sent to me, and was informed that a swatch would only be mailed to me upon purchase..... (huh? We can't see the color until we buy it?)
Two weeks later, I tried to look up the dress on the Kanali K website to show the rest of the bridesmaids. I discovered that the style number was missing from the dress information I was provided. I contacted the store to get the details so I could find the dress on www.kanalik.com. I was informed by the guy that answered the phone that their stores designers, (including kanlik), do not have websites, because "they are really trying to help out the stores" (which was weird because I was looking RIGHT at the designers website) Then I was informed that there wasn't a record that we tried on dresses that day, and defiantly not a record of the dress we were interested in.
I was shocked, and panicly asked, how could this happen. He replied that the appointment must not have went well, so the stylist must have not felt that it was important enough to write anything down. The worst part is that he was completely unapologetic, and it felt like he blamed me for their error. I was nearly in tears, because I LOVED that dress. I asked why the stylist would take our measurements and not even keep a record of it. He said he would look around for more information and try to get back to me the next day. Two days later a girl contacted me to inform me that there wasn't any information and that the stylist we met with went back to school. She suggested that I find a store in Chicago that carries the designer and start over.
AWESOME! as if the wedding planning roster isn't full enough, now I had to start over. I visited a store in Chicago, and found what I THINK was the dress (since i have NO picture and NO style number). I was shown the color swatch, which revealed that the dress doesn't come in a teal. The whole Bridal Superstore experience was pointless and created so much stress.
Unless you want your first bridal appointment to be an awful experience, do not go to Bridal Superstore. I chose this store thinking they had a large selection of dresses and was so disappointed in the experience that it didn't even matter. I showed up early for my appointment and was to tag 5 dresses I liked, of course I found a 6th and was told I had to get rid of one of them. 30 minutes into my appointment my consultant finally greets me (keep in mind someone I knew showed up at the same time as me and had already tried on a few dresses). My consultant didn't pull one of the dresses I wanted because it was over budget which I understood, but later pulled a dress even more expensive than that one for me to try on. I only tried on 4 of my 5 dresses when my consultant told me her time was up with me because she had another appointment. I had not gone out to show my family the 4th dress when she said this. I started to explain to her that when she had gone to grab that dress my family and I discussed that I personally needed a belt with the dresses because it made a world of difference and she quickly cut me off and told me "It was MY dress, not theirs". Therefore, I didn't get a belt to go with the last dress. Then, I asked if I could at least go show my family before she made me take it off and she didn't seem thrilled. She kept insisting that I didn't know my style and needed to think about it some more before I actually purchased a dress, which I agreed with but I also wasn’t listened to. From the moment I walked in, it felt as though they didn't actually want my business. I left the store feeling terrible and like I would never find a dress. I do not recommend this store, no matter how many dresses they have. That's not a feeling you want when you are trying on wedding dresses for the first time.
I went as a bride-to-be looking for my wedding dress. I did have an appointment. It is better if you get an appointment. I took my mother and 2 bridesmaids. You can only bring 3 guests with you. Wear appropriate undergarments. You will have a lady helping you into your dress. So wear underwear that you are comfortable being seen in.
First, the dresses they offer are good quality. They will help you find a dress that is under budget and that fits. They have a wide range of sizes and an adjacent alteration shop that you can take your dress to. I went to another shop to compare what I found and to see how I felt about the shop. I realized that The Posie Patch was just the best for the price. I found my dress here and I love it. It needs some alterations but that is normal. Expect that.
Teresa was the lady who helped me and she was the sweetest lady! She was fun and energetic. She wasn't too pushy and she guided me to the right dresses once I told her what I was looking for.
My best advice is have fun. You (hopefully) are only going to do this once and it should be an enjoyable experience. Laugh, joke, and just be you. Also have an idea of what kind of dress you are looking for. It is easier for them to help you if you have some idea. For example, I wanted a tea length dress with lace. I also found that I really enjoyed the style of Justin Alexander dresses. That is a good starting point. Look online before you go. Decide what you like and don't like.
I walked out and purchased my dress else where because a consultant was that rude. She asked what style I was looking for and I told her I love mermaid dresses. She looked at me and asked if I was sure because mermaid dresses show ALL of your curves. I am a size 10 and the mermaid dress I purchased at another boutique looked amazing!
I found my dream dress at this store. The cost was decent but the staff was sort of rude and rushed us. However since this was exactly what I was looking for I still bought my dress from them.
