I could not recommend this venue enough to any bride. The space itself is absolutely stunning, but the owners, Melinde, and our coordinator, Talia, truly made the experience. They were thoughtful, accommodating, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. Every detail was considered, and their team was prepared for anything, always offering helpful suggestions that made planning feel easy. The venue sits on its own land, giving it a peaceful, tucked-away feel despite being close to everything. It’s beautifully maintained and full of history. Our wedding felt like a dream, and I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else. 💛

Together, they have raised six children, welcomed eight grandchildren into their growing family, and created a home filled with the warmth, connection, and simple joys that reflect the timeless charm of Gruene itself. Today, they lovingly care for the 17 acres of the original Gruene Family Farm, preserving the natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and historic character that make Gruene Estate so special. To the Russells, the property is more than a venue; it is a place meant to be experienced, protected, and shared with others. Eddie proudly manages the land, and his commitment reflects the true meaning of Texas Hill Country land ownership, where respect for the land, hard work, and hospitality are part of everyday life. Susie’s gift has always been creating unforgettable experiences for others. After managing the highly regarded Huisache Grill for 28 years, she became known throughout the community for her warmth, attention to detail, and natural ability to make every guest feel welcome like family. Her decades of hospitality experience, combined with her love for celebration and connection, made her uniquely suited to continue the legacy of one of the most cherished wedding venues in the Texas Hill Country.

The loaner room is full of gorgeous decor and the tables and chairs are a dream right off of our Pinterest boards. The staff and the day of coordinator at Hazel & Bloom (Casey) was top notch and made everything go better than perfect. We had zero issues, no fires to put out, not a single complaint. Melinde reached out and eased everyone's minds and ensured that everything was handled on their end. The staff is professional and incredibly helpful and communicative. We loved the coordinators they connected us with and felt like our wedding was pretty perfect here. We stayed the night at the venue after the wedding, and not only were the houses beautiful, they were so comfortable and such a perfect set up. They went as far as to tell us that if groups of ten are allowed that we will be forced to pay the full price with only ten people attending... My fiancé and I are both in the military and are unsure where we will be stationed in the upcoming year. My fiancé’s family is all from NJ and NY and the venue expects them to travel to the small town of Gruene in the middle of a pandemic and national state of emergency. The venues lack of understanding and care for us and our families is astonishing. Planning your wedding is supposed to be fun and exciting and has turned in to a nightmare due to our venue. I haven’t been able to give any of my other vendors a reschedule date and will likely lose a lot of deposits if upcoming dates are booked. I am heartbroken over Gruene Estates lack of understanding. I hope nobody else is having to deal with a situation like this.

From our first tour to our final farewell as we drove away Husband and Wife, the team at Gruene Estate took care of us and made our experience absolutely unforgettable. I truly had ZERO stress as the Bride! We were able to purchase an affordable package including set up and breakdown which was amazing! Carey was our wedding coordinator and absolutely rocked it non-stop. She communicated with all of our vendors before the big day and day of, so we didn't have so deal with any of that! She also was there for me the entire process to answer all my questions. She also asked me all the right questions to make sure every detail was accounted for and all the necessary information for the venue to be set up exactly as I wanted. She has this down to a science in the best and most helpful way possible! I really can't say enough good things about this venue and the team behind it.

They were accommodating when we needed to do a visit on a Sunday morning. The price of the venue includes tables, chairs, a ton of decor, and the services of a day of coordinator, Carey Millington. Because of the GE team and Carey, our wedding vision became a reality. LITERALLY- not one single thing went wrong on our wedding day. Another great thing about GE is that you can bring your own vendors. They do provide a list of vendors they've worked with before, but you're not obligated to use them. However, we did end up going with a few of their suggestions because they were great! Oh, and if you're wondering if you should stay at the historic houses onsite the night before or after you wedding, the answer is yes! They are super cute, clean, and the beds are really cozy. We were so happy to just walk through the fence and be "home" for the night rather than finding our way back to a hotel room.

She handled everything with such professionalism and was on top of everything the day of. Whenever I had a question during the wedding planning process, someone was always available to email or text and their response was so quick. My day was perfect at Gruene estate. All of the event staff was great and super helpful as well!

wing did not disappoint. The natural, rustic decor of the venue made for easy but beautiful decorating. We received many compliments on how elegant and gorgeous the venue was. The staff was friendly, helpful and nice to work with. Carey, our day of coordinator, was very informed and helped a great deal throughout the day and early in the planning process. The houses on the property are so adorable, cozy and an awesome way to prep for the upcoming day. We are so glad we chose Gruene Estates for our special day!

by far the best thing for getting ready. So comfortable and perfectly placed because I never saw my husband while I was getting ready. and I got engaged in July of 2016 then moved to New Braunfels in October of 2016. One of the reasons we had a lengthy engagement was that we were going back and forth where to have the wedding (NY or TX) but when I saw this venue on The Knot I just knew I had to go and see it for myself. After the tour and meeting the Gruene Estate staff we knew this was where we would say our "I do's" and I was so excited to show my NY friends and family the beautiful place where I call home. 　 Everything about this venue was absolutely PERFECT! From the breathtaking open air chapel (there's even a church bell to ring after the ceremony!!), the rustic chic bridal suite (perfect for getting ready photos), horses, deer & longhorn (which the children absolutely adored), fire pit & games (great to keep guest busy while taking wedding photos), the list could go on... I am so happy that we chose this as our wedding venue, our guest near or far all fell in love this this place. 　 Nolan, the General Manager and the Gruene Estate team were on top of everything leading up to our special day making sure everything ran smoothly. Also, Carey with BASH events and Courtney who was assigned to be my day of wedding coordinator took care of EVERYTHING, I seriously did not have to stress about anything because it was already taken care of. 　 A big thanks to Gruene Estate for making our wedding such a special and memorable day!
