GT Catering & Events

our process was seamless and more importantly the food was delicious! Our guests enjoyed unique sliders and hors d'oeuvres made from locally sourced ingredients and it’s a testament to their quality that the food disappeared fast. Catherine was a pleasure to worth with and an equally valuable resource to help coordinate the day’s timeline and open bar beverage estimates. We’re so happy to have had Gastrotruck at our wedding, the food was a big part of our vision and they delivered!

ere done looking. They helped us to customize a menu, and met with us several times to make sure we had everything that we were looking for. Nina and Catherine were both SUPER responsive, which I really appreciated. We worked primarily with Nina, who is so kind and helpful! She ended up being a part of the staff serving at our wedding, and I was so happy to see her there after all of the work we did to put together the menu. We also did our dessert through Angel Food, and it was so easy to organize through Gastrotruck. I honestly cannot recommend Gastrotruck more. People are still talking about how much they loved the food at our wedding :)

ey include a lot of great toppings. They set up the buffet beautifully and were on time, professional, and did a great job. We worked with Nina and she was super helpful, responsive, and answered all of our questions. She was very up-front with pricing and helped us figure out everything from quantity, dietary restrictions, timing, etc. Overall us and our guests loved the food, the price was very reasonable, and they were great to work with!

sy to work with and so nice! About a month before the wedding we received our quote with the items we selected at the food tasting and several items were higher than on our original quote. Getting everything squared away took way too many emails and brought unnecessary stress just a few weeks before the wedding. On our wedding day we were expecting to have real silverware (not plastic) and glassware, both of which were not at our wedding. The silverware was a communication issue... we had asked about it during the tasting and were told it would be there (the manager made it seem like a standard item), but it was an up charge that we were not aware of. The glassware was apparently at the venue, but did not get used (still not really sure what happened). Also, food service ran 30+ minutes longer than usual, which meant we had to rearrange our agenda as we had guests outside at the truck when we were suppose to be doing toasts/speeches. Overall we really liked the food and the vibe of the food truck. Communication could have been better. A menu that clearly lists all food options and prices would have also been nice to have. The missing items and slow service was a bummer. Hopefully these things get fixed, but I have to rate GT 3/5 based on our experience.

he day of and leading up to the wedding. And Nina from Gastrotruck was phenomenal. She was so organized, always ready to answers my many questions, flexible and beyond helpful. They went out of their way for us, and we love them for it. Can't recommend them enough.

ching my vision - until I connected with Catherine from Gastrotruck. Not only did she write the most thorough and thoughtful proposal, including a drafted floor plan, coordination of all rentals, set up, tear down and staff, she respected my budget and NAILED the concept we wanted. The food was absolutely incredible, beautifully arranged and displayed, and our guests are still talking about it. Catherine, Chef Stephen and the entire team were an absolute dream to work with. When we found ourselves in a bit of a bind for our rehearsal dinner a couple of weeks (gasp) before the wedding, Catherine & the team were able to cater it on the fly. Gastrotruck pricing is extremely competitive and the entire process was so wonderful and easy I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. Brides, Gastrotruck will make your life SO MUCH easier as you plan and execute the wedding of your dreams. The outstanding food quality and service are a complete bonus.

and answered our questions throughout the planning process. They worked closely with our coordinator and executed our wedding day flawlessly. Also, the mac and cheese bar was a hit with EVERYONE. So much that people went up for seconds, thirds, and fourths. Lastly, we had breakfast sandwiches for late night food and IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER.

ugh of them - the staff is well prepared, professional, and uses high-quality ingredients.

n expect, all the guests RAVED about the food. Dad said it was the best wedding food he ever tasted. New brother-in-law ran up to us during the reception with a taco clutched in each hand to tell us the "food truck was the BEST. IDEA. EVER." You get the picture. I think everyone went through the line two or three times, and several guests asked where to find Gastrotruck so they could go eat more of their food at a later date. My favorite thing about working with Gastrotruck was the potential for customizing the menu, everywhere. When we sent over our list of food we wanted to try for the tasting, I explained that some of the choices contained gluten and that I would try them but my partner would not. Moe wrote back saying that they found a way to make everything we picked gluten-free, even using a locally sourced gluten-free beer to braise the beef brisket, plus they threw together a tequila chicken fajita thing that wasn't even on the menu, just to see what we thought. They also graciously invited us to their main location for the tasting to avoid the risk of cross-contamination. Then, when we couldn't decide between two flavor options for the brisket, Moe offered to serve it up without any sauces but provide both the sauces we liked as options for guests to customize it - basically two menu items in one. They ended up bringing a whole slew of delicious sauces that guests could add to their tacos. Later in the menu-deciding process, we were asked what kind of salsa we'd like to have served with the tortilla chips. I described the perfect salsa of my dreams, and they made it a reality on our wedding day. Wish they'd sell it in a jar, along with their Yukon gold potato salad. My wife is already talking about having a big anniversary party in ten years and getting Gastrotruck to cater it.

not say enough, I would highly recommend them!

we had apple thyme, and gruyere, goat cheese and fig jam on a crostini and thai beef salad in a cucumber cup. For dinner we had chicken with blue cheese sauce, mixed grain pilaf, cheesy potatoes with beer cheese sauce, and mixed green salad along with rolls. The chicken and the cheesy potatoes were guest favorites. The cupcakes were basically gone by the end of the night (they were so so amazing and beer-themed). We ended up going with Gastrotruck because they were used to catering in unusual places and we could also get our tables and tablecloths from them as well. They were professional and timely and everything looked beautiful. They also broke everything down and put everything away so all we had to do was bring home our gifts and decorations. We paid $300 to have Catherine help with extra stuff onsite as the event coordinator and make sure things went smoothly. Price-wise they were comparable to a little bit cheaper than others though there will be a hefty service charge that doesn't count toward tip.

us she would be willing to make anything we wanted. We ended up with a delicious menu including polish pierogis, pork tenderloin, an amazing mixed grain pilaf and to top it all off, made to order ice cream sandwiches! Catherine's experience in catering was so helpful in planning and executing every part of our day, and her original estimate included bartenders, without even being asked about it. If you are considering Gastrotruck for your wedding, I would say 100% go with it. You will end up with delicious, filling, healthy food that all your guests will rave about plus an amazing, courteous and helpful team of servers and cooks. A++++

ugh wonderful things about the food, the service, and of course...the Izzy's ice cream sundae bar. I heard from several of the guests that they loved speaking to Chef Steven about his dishes (especially the homemade caramel sauce) and could tell how much he loved what he did. Thanks so much to Moe, Chef Steven, and the rest of the crew at Gastrotruck...you helped make our event absolutely wonderful.

her clients and I'm so so apreciative for her expertise and professionalism! Love Love Love

eak the menu to exactly what we wanted. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. Thanks!

ccommodate 140-150 guests quickly and easily. We got so many compliments about our choice in sliders (blackbean, shredded beef, turkey wildrice) and even those reluctant to try our choice of sliders and sides ended up raving about them in the end.

edding from Seattle, and they were more than accommodating, planning two separate tastings for us and our families while we were back visiting. Beyond that, Moe was so responsive to every little question that we had and even drove the 1.5 hours to our venue before the wedding to scope it out and make sure that everything would run smoothly. Most importantly, the food was delicious!! It was so important to us to have unique, delicious food at our wedding, and the fact that it was all locally sourced added so much to that. The best part is that they were able to serve all 150 of our guests from the truck in quite literally the blink of an eye. If we could do it all again, Gastrotruck would definitely still be our #1 food choice. They've made lifelong fans and customers out of not only us, but our friends and families!

ot a lot of flexibility to choose things we liked. People told us it was one of the coolest eating experiences at a wedding they've had. They are big on buying local and being eco friendly which is very cool. We wondered if service would be slow with just one truck and the food being made fresh, but they were super efficient and did a great job! One of the best parts was working with Moe, our coordinator. She was so friendly, helpful, and attentive. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in the work she does and truly loves it. She came on our wedding day and worked hard. She met with us a few times before the wedding as well to make sure we got what we wanted. She responded quickly to emails and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend using them for any event or just eating at the truck. It's delicious and really fun!!

The truck is very attractive and service excellent! It's so much fun having them and they are very professional!! It's also a great value! You have no worries with Gastrotruck catering because they know what they are doing! You will not be disappointed!!

astrotruck's food was by far the best, and it turned out they'd done a lot of weddings at our venue previously, which really put me at ease, since I wasn't sure how it would work with the space we had. Their menu had a lot of great, reasonable selections. We also purchased compostable/recyclable cups and plates from them, and had them cut our cake. They offered to also replenish our baklava platters at no additional charge, and took care of all our trash, even though it wasn't all from the food. I like that the woman we'd been working with during planning, Moe, was actually at our wedding. She was great to work with, patient as we made our selections, and sat us down at the reception and placed a ton of food in front of us, which was awesome! With all the guests you run into on the way to eat, it seems you'll never get there, and she made sure to save every option for us to taste. It was delicious! The food itself was priced well, but when it came to all the extras we'd ordered, the trash management, the service charges, tax, etc. it was not as cheap as one would expect a food truck to be. That said, their experience really paid off and service went very smoothly, and it was great that we didn't have to worry about the little things. Guests absolutely loved the food, they had lots of yummy GF/veg/vegan options, and it was so nice not to have to serve thawed chicken in bland sauce and soggy vegetables at $45/plate, like every other wedding. I'd certainly use Gastrotruck again!

le children could have a simplified version instead of needing a "kid's plate"...a crowd pleaser for SURE.

n't stop talking about how delicious everything was ("top 3 wedding meals of my life" was one comment from a chef!). They were flexible with us and helped us develop a menu that would fit our tastes and the season. They have a commitment to using seasonal ingredients, which was something we really loved. The menu was perfect for the day. We worked with Catherine who went above and beyond by coming out to do a walk-through at our venue and gave us lots of good ideas about logistics and also met with us a couple of times to make sure all the details were just right. She was professional, thorough and really fun to work with. They were also able to work with use to tailor the menu to our budget without it feeling like a "budget" menu. Loved them - I wish I could have another big event so I could use them again!

nal, open to new ideas, communicated effectively, and had fun with our guests!

elped us brainstorm ways to keep the food within our budget, without it feeling like we weren't feeding our guests! At the wedding, I didn't hear one bad word from our guests about the food. Everyone absolutely loved it, and they couldn't believe how much food came out of the truck! They were extremely professional, and we would recommend them to anyone!! They completely set the party off in the direction that we wanted to go!

sourced food and a completely customized menu! The food was outstanding and our guests all RAVED about the menu! I had friends who went up to the food truck 3-4 times so they could try everything! Gastro not only offered up food truck service for our dinner, but also had apps and beverages for the cocktail hour! Love me some GastroTruck! If you want to sample their food before you book them, hang out in St. Paul (near rice park) around lunch time! :)
