We decided to hold our wedding at Hale after cancelling our originally planned wedding due to the pandemic. There were so many event site options and Shannon and the whole Hale was...
so accommodating - even with balancing everchanging Covid guidelines - as we explored our options and ultimately got married at Hale in the spring of 2021.
Hale was a beautiful backdrop for our happily ever after! The Andrew Cucchiara Learning Center & Orchard was a perfect space: a rustic barn and enough outdoor space to configure 3 distinct functional areas with no changeover. The space allowed us to host the best day of our lives while easily respecting all the guidelines that caused us to cancel our initial wedding. We were able to completely make the space our own for the weekend which made it so easy to make our day special with every custom touch we wanted.
Shannon was always quick to answer any questions as we were planning we had and made it so easy for us, our vendors, and our guests to get everything needed and ensured a great time on our day. Usually the logistics of a wedding - especially a small DIY event - are overwhelming, but even with constantly changing restrictions, Shannon went above and beyond in helping us with the onsite facilities, day-of details, and empowering our vendors to get what they needed leading up to and throughout our wedding.
We may have been a covid couple, but we were able to host a celebration safely. Pandemic or not, Hale is absolutely a special wedding venue and a place that we will forever cherish. Thankfully we can go back and visit any time! We cannot thank everyone at Hale enough for giving us the opportunity to have the most perfect wedding. And the fact that they made it feel easy in the throws of a pandemic definitely helped make our wedding day even more magical.
The venue is so beautiful. Shannon helped us through the whole process. She hold 3 site visiting, answered our questions and helped us in decision making.
Wow. I can't express enough how much I absolutely loved Hale Reservation for our fall wedding. It was more gorgeous than I ever could have imagined! Shannon is incredible! That wom...
an had so many emails from me I don't know how she did it. She was always so quick to respond and basically helped me plan my whole wedding. I feel so lucky to have chosen Hale. Thank you!!
We feel super fortunate to have found Hale as our wedding venue. We got married at the Powisett Lodge and it provided the cozy, casual intimate setting we dreamed of for our 75 per...
son wedding.
We knew we wanted a venue that would allow us to bring in our own food and alcohol. We were very excited when we found Hale, which is essentially a gorgeous room that you bring everything into. It’s absolutely more work than an all-inclusive venue, but it allowed us to do exactly what we wanted. Everything came together beautifully with a lot of planning and a great external day of coordinator to execute our vision.
Shannon, the venue coordinator at Hale Reservation, was very friendly and easy-going, which made the whole planning process less stressful. The Hale team set up tables and chairs for us and we had ample time to set up the rest of the decorations ourselves.
The lodge was a wonderful site for our 4 hour reception with a spacious main hall, outdoor area in the back with picnic tables, kitchen, restrooms and a front hallway that worked perfectly for serving our buffet dinner.
We had our ceremony right outside the lodge and it worked perfectly with its stage and wooden benches. We made double use of our ceremony site by having guests go out for a campfire with smores at the end of the reception.
One snag is that the drive to the Lodge from the main entrance is long and confusing. To help with this, we hired a shuttle that transported most guests and hung posters along the path to make it clear.
We couldn't be happier with selecting Hale as our wedding venue. The atmosphere was perfect, working with Shannon was really easy, and the price was in our budget.
Powissett Lodge on Hale Reservation was a dream come true for our Fall wedding. Beautiful wooden lodge set in the middle of the woods. We had 80 people attend and the number seemed...
just right for the space. The ranger even came and set us up a bonfire outside at the end of the night to do s'mores! It was perfect!
The Hale Reservation was the perfect venue for our October wedding. As soon as we walked into the Powissett Lodge, we knew it would work perfectly. We had 120 guests. 96 could sit ...
inside, and the rest outside under a tent that we rented. We put most of our friends outside and kept the doors open, and this worked great.
Working with Shannon was very easy - she was always available to answer questions, and she was very helpful with solving various last-minute issues that came up.
One of the things that we really liked about the Hale Reservation was that, unlike many venues in the area, they don't make you choose vendors from a short list. This allowed us to make the wedding ours, and to keep within a more reasonable budget.
Hale also offers economical options for pavilion rentals (which we used to host brunch the next day) and guest camping (which we were not able to take advantage of due to the rainy weekend, unfortunately).
Powissett Lodge on Hale Reservation is In a lovely, wooded setting. The Lodge is a fairly new log structure. Inside, there is a large entry hall, the large reception hall, a stora...
ge room off the large hall, a kitchen, and two restrooms. The reception hall had medium toned wood wainscotting and a high wood ceiling with beams. The walls are white, the floors are light oak, there is a rustic stone wood burning fireplace, and the room is flooded with natural light.the 75 guests had plenty of room to move around in the hall. The kitchen was equipped with a stove, refrigerator, full size freezer, countertop & sinks.bi-fold doors over the counter open into the reception hall for bar service.
Even better than the facility was the service. Shannon answered all the bride's many questions in a timely manner, made sure we had the right number & size of tables, and coordinated delivery and pick up with our rental company. Tom was there to lock up after we decorated and answered all our questions about the facility. he was friendly, helpful, and patient while my husband & I took extra time after the reception packing up & loading our car for our out of state trip home. If a rustic setting is what you are looking for, Powissett Lodge is a winner!!
