My initial meeting with Tracy was encouraging she asked what specific idea i had and took that into consideration when offering some options when we met in person. She modified my bouquet based on what i had asked for and then finalized the design on what was going to be in it. I asked if she could have a sample put together for me to see once they were in season and closer to the wedding day. Which she did. I visited the florist office and was thrilled with what she had showed me based on what we had discussed. We only got my bride bouquet and groom boutonniere from them. I visited the office again the week of the wedding 5 days before to confirm again that the bouquet and boutonnière would be ready for my Saturday wedding and she confirmed and assured me everything was ready for it to look exactly as she showed me. On my wedding day while i got ready my friend picked up the bouquet and sent me a picture while still there and it was NOT what i had asked for, confirmed, or was reassured of mere days before. There were these ugly green leaves that took up a BIG amount of the bouquet and they were supposed to be eucalyptus leaves which they were not. My friend showed them a picture of the sample bouquet that was the identical version i was supposed to get and the lady told me that Tracy went on vacation and didn’t prepare them. So, Tracy was there Monday said everything would be ready for Saturday, went on vacation and didn’t notify me she wouldn’t be around or stay accountable for delivering what she had promised me. I get it people go on vacation and emergencies happen but then they told me i could either get a full refund and have no bouquet or keep the bouquet as is with no discount although it was not what i had asked for. Neither were ideal options so i just kept it as is with no changes to the cost. I was extremely disappointed because everything was seemingly going smoothly and my design requests were being fulfilled up until the day that counted. Luckily, i loved the middle flowers they provided but there were suppose to be more flowers less bulky leaves so all in all it was a major let down.
Tracy was amazing! I had gone to other florists only to hear what I wanted was going to be way over budget and instead of them giving me other ideas that were more cost effective they just said take it or leave it. When I went to Tracy she heard what I wanted gave me a quote and then we worked on ways to cut costs so that I could still have the look I wanted. She was amazing and I would recommend using Halls for your event!
Tracy at Halls did a beautiful job creating spring bouquets for our May wedding. The roses stayed in perfect condition all day and the flowers arrived in a timely manner.
Halls is a small family-owned business. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Berkeley Heights area.
I had a great experience working with Tracy at Halls Florist. She did the flowers for my bridal shower and wedding, and executed both perfectly! She had a great understanding of the simple but elegant summer wedding feel we hoped for with blue hydrangeas and greenery and delivered. She was great to work with and I highly recommend Tracy and Halls.
We were planning to use as florist because they were a preferred vendor of our reception venue at time of booking. Called in August/September to reserve our date and was told to come into the shop to meet after Christmas because Fall and the holidays were very busy times and it would still leave us plenty of time. Visited shop in January and met with Tracy. She made several comments on how we were cutting it close timewise (I reminded her of when I intially called to set up an appointment in the fall) and about our venue. They had no books or pictures of other weddings to show. The consultant we met with would ask for what I had in mind only to shoot it down ("You can't do that."), then try to sell us on something entirely opposite that she had available or could order us.
Overall, extremely unprofessional. The consultant was clearly taking her frustrations with the venue out on us.
Turns out they are no longer a preferred vendor of our venue, but the honesty from her about the situation would have been greatly appreciated. Do yourself a favor and keep shopping for another flower shop.
The flowers were reasonably priced & beautiful. And they were willing to work with us on a price.;They sent the wrong type of corsage ° we specifically asked for wrist corsages and they sent the pin on kind ° luckily someone had rubber bands so we were able to use them on everyone?s wrists. Also the boutonni?res were mislabeled with one of the groomsmen getting my husband?s flowers(and they were a different color) but again easily sorted.
