Halls Signature Events at 5 Faber

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here in December 2022. Kaitlyn Fort and her team were outstanding every single step of the way. The food and service were on the same amazing level as many have come to expect from the chop house. You cannot ask for a better location to keep things central and easy for guests to find close to most hotels. Tremendous value and highly recommend to anyone looking for an event space!

My off-site event back in September was amazing! We had the party at my parents house in Mount Pleasant. We had steaks and salmon with collard greens and creamed corn for our entrees. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the salmon was delicious! The creamed corn came in little baby skillets that were adorable and really composed the plate. The servers they brought to the venue were very attentive and catered to every detail! No glass was ever empty during dinner. At the end they cleaned up so well you couldn’t even tell they were ever there. 10/10 will hire again!

We held the most perfect rehearsal brunch for my son and his bride at Halls Signature Events. The food and the service was exceptional and the event space is lovely!

Venue was very attractive, appetizers, and late night bites were very good. Main courses were nothing like Hall’s the restaurant. Staff could have been more friendly.

Halls was an amazing team to work with! Emily and Jerri were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. Our guests raved about the food! The space itself it great with so much character on it’s own. We are so thankful this amazing team was part of our big day!

I'm very torn writing this review because I had such positives and such negatives working with Hall's for my wedding at No 5 Faber. For full disclosure, I signed my contract to use No 5 Faber under the company’s previous ownership so some of the misunderstandings could have arisen from a transfer in management. Positives: The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The renovations that Hall's has made to the No 5 Faber venue have not only updated the space but changed the entire vibe. Hall's was extremely flexible allowing me to set up the venue on the Saturday before my wedding and break down on the Monday afterwards. Overall, the venue was beautiful and could not have been better! I would give the venue itself five stars. SO amazing! Negatives: While I had some positive interactions with Hall's, I felt like there was a general lack of communication and professionalism with the staff. Emily, the site manager, was somewhat helpful but I consistently felt like she didn't want to be there. The venue was uncleaned from a previous event when I came to set up, she didn’t have a strong grasp of my event timeline, and often spoke down to my parents and wedding party. An example to illustrate: on the night of my wedding she sprung a 2 AM deadline on my family for them to clear out of the venue (I had already left at this point). Once she closed up she made them wait outside in the cold for an Uber to pick them up for close to 30 minutes instead of allowing them to wait inside. Emily frequently stated she “just wanted to go home” and made me constantly feel like I was imposing on her. Again, to be clear, my wedding was the first wedding Hall's had undertaken since taking over ownership of No 5 Faber. I would HIGHLY recommend this space to anyone who wants to independently book catering, bar services, or other vendors to save money. The space is spectacular and the location cannot be beat. HOWEVER, I do think Hall’s needs to make some adjustments to their staff and processes. I was still filling out paperwork and information sheets from Hall’s that were sent to me just two days before my wedding. If you work with Emily and Hall’s be sure to have everything in writing and do not count on her to be accommodating on the day of! If Hall’s could improve their site management and streamline their procedures this location would be one of the best to get married in Charleston!
