About Halo Event Lighting Susan, founder and owner of Halo Event Lighting, has been a respected figure in Boston’s entertainment and event production industry for over 30 years. Her journey began as a talented musician and DJ, gradually evolving into a deep expertise in audio and visual technology. Over the past 15 years, Susan has specialized in designing and installing cutting-edge audio, lighting, and video systems for a wide range of hospitality venues throughout New England. Her extensive background includes working across diverse event settings—from nightclubs, weddings, and corporate events to school functions, theatrical productions, and concerts. For a decade, Susan also served as the technical director and manager of one of Boston’s most popular nightclubs. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for the transformative power of lighting. She believes that lighting is more than just a technical element—it's an emotional force that shapes the atmosphere and energy of an event through color, shadow, and movement. “I’m passionate about production and dance lighting,” Susan says. “I like to think of my work as a step above standard DJ lighting—elevating it into something truly immersive and impactful.” Halo Event Lighting uses professional-grade equipment from trusted brands like Chauvet and Chamsys, and Susan has completed extensive product-specific training to ensure every setup is both innovative and technically precise.
