Hired them for floral, catering and bartending services. Big mistake. They seemed knowledgeable and nice when initially booking. Once you’re booked you never speak to the same person twice. I had to initiate scheduling my color meetings and when they were scheduled, they forgot about them. Was told I would get design credit for my catering package and florals. They were only going to give me credit for my florals until I pushed further. When I did get the credit, it took numerous emails back and forth to try and get the financials correct. In the end they still were incorrect. Went over the contract multiple times and was told everything would show up at 9:00am the day of. They didn’t show until 11:00 and were unprofessionally dressed. Catering staff were in black H&A tshirts and cut off denim shorts. They did not provide florals for my cake that I paid for. When asked if we could keep some pink roses sitting in a bucket next to our bouquets to use, the florist told my wedding coordinator they were for something else and immediately put them in her car. They did not bring the gluten free meals I specifically requested and had written in my contract. The corsages and boutonnière for my family and wedding party fell apart before the ceremony even started. They did not buss the tables as guests were finishing dinner like it says in the contracts. They will throw all the left over food into Ziploc bags, even Mac and cheese and green beans. They do not package it in nice foil trays like you’re told. Was told my table florals would be a woven eucalyptus and wax flower garland. It was thrown onto the table quickly, the “florist” brought her boyfriend to help, not another H&A staff member. The venue staff had to go behind her and pick up greenery she would drop all over the floor. We had a private tasting to choose our menu items and I was not told up front that my choice was a $5/person up charge. They called me a week before my wedding telling me I still owed almost $800 in catering. This was after I sent multiple messages to change my email for further communication and it was not done. Once I signed the contract with meal choices, I could not access it again. I emailed them multiple times asking for them to send me a link to view the new contract from the email I wanted it sent to. They continuously sent it to an old email I asked them to delete. During the process or drawing up contracts they are pretty helpful in the beginning. Once you book, I couldn’t get the same person twice. The “wedding coordinator” I was working with quit communicating with me about a month out from my wedding. We went and hired a separate day of coordinator to help and she couldn’t even get the guy to call her back until the day before the wedding. H&A sent a completely different person to handle the set up at my venue than I had been talking to. I was told an arbor was going to be built specifically from the photos I provided after they did not acquire the one I requested. It was built two days before my wedding and was not at all like the photos I sent. My dad ended up building me one instead. Do not hire them for your wedding.
