Hangar 21

I attended a wedding here on 04/01/21 as a groomsman. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location as a wedding venue. I am sure it is an acceptable location if there are no setbacks. However, on this day the wedding was interrupted by intense helicopter noise in the middle of the service. This noise was so overwhelming that I could not hear the officiant despite being a few feet away from him. Later I learned that the noise was the result of emergency maintenance on an aircraft. The venue claimed it was out of their control and that couples know the risk of hosting a wedding in a location where noise interruptions are likely. While I understand loud noises are not unusual the location, I disagree that the client should fully bear the risk. It is possible to anticipate these kinds of uncertainties. As a wedding venue on a live tarmac, it is important to have contingencies in place in the likely (their word) event of noise. This could be as simple as managing expectations or sharing schedules to others who share the tarmac. It's disappointing a wedding venue couldn't at least provide guidance to clients on what to do if interrupted, offer opportunities to reshoot/re-record segments, or even waive certain fees. The stakes are high for weddings, and it is even more important that couples can trust a venue who is proactive about mitigating risks and will take the extra steps to make things right in the event something goes wrong. To my knowledge, no effort was made. Further, to frame this event as a "buyer beware" situation is insensitive and dismissive. It sends a message that they are not interested in improving. For that alone, I encourage prospective couples to look elsewhere. The risk of something going wrong is too high, and I do not trust that they are willing to go above and beyond to make sure the client is satisfied. In my opinion they are not serious about their business.

However, Hangar 21 callously disregarded my distress, offering no meaningful response or willingness to accept responsibility. Their ill-conceived collaboration with a neighboring business resulted in an unforgettable disaster, met with an astonishing absence of remorse. I implore future couples to tread cautiously, conducting thorough research and seeking the experiences of others before choosing their wedding venue. The noise continues until approximately 49:22 then again another outside noise 51:08-51:50 Gardners? or so (Please note this was recorded from second row no one heard my vows after row 4 or so).

Hangar 21 South is amazing!!! We had our wedding there and highly recommend it. The customer service is unparalleled and I promise you won't regret it. Our guests can't stop talking about this unique and open venue. We had our wedding outside and flew in on the helicopter for our grand entrance. The pilot was amazing and we had so much fun up in the sky! The space and the people who run it are amazing! Maybe I'm biased but it was the most beautiful wedding ever. Thank you Hangar 21 South!
