Sabrina was wonderful to work with! Our food was amazing! Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food was at our wedding. We would definitely recommend Hank's to anyone planning their wedding in the Shenandoah area.

Amazing !!!! I mean wow. The tasting was crazy delicious so we had to go with It and Sabrina was so nice and accommodating ! And then on my wedding day they were so nice and punctual and everyone enjoyed the food! She worked with us and was patient with us. I 10000% recommend!

My husband and I are wanderlusts from Michigan who yearned for an intimate destination wedding. Our venue was a quaint and historic bed and breakfast located outside Harrisonburg, Virginia – about 10 hours from our home. We sought a non-fussy and tasty caterer for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Our wedding planner suggested Hank's Grille & Catering. Sabrina, Hank's Catering Director, was very accommodating and took the time to answer our questions. The remote booking process was a breeze. Thank you for keeping it easy for us, Sabrina! Our final menu included Texas brisket, pulled pork, green beans with ham, macaroni and cheese, and assorted dessert bars. Hank's also delivered buns, three types of their signature barbeque sauces, paper plates, plastic utensils for serving and eating, and napkins. Our order arrived on time and hot and was set up for us to enjoy buffet-style at our wedding venue. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the fare from Hank's. The mac and cheese might've been the least exciting dish - it was good but could have been better. The crowd favorites were the pulled pork and green beans with ham. They were both wonderfully smokey! After dinner, in-depth negotiations ensued about who could take the leftovers home. "Fine, you can have some pulled pork... but I get the rest of this bottle of barbeque sauce!" It's a good sign when your friends and family are fighting to take the leftovers home! Hank's Grille & Catering provides tremendous value. Their prices were extremely reasonable for tasty food, generous portions, and courteous staff. Thank you, Hank's!

Hanks is an awesome caterer to work with! Their food was delicious and Sabrina was so helpful throughout the entire process. She was always reachable via phone/ text/ or email and willing to answer any and all questions. The amount of compliments I got on the food from my guests was awesome! Wedding food can be hit or miss but EVERYTHING I ate my wedding night beginning at cocktail hour, to dinner, to our late night snacks was so yummy. I highly recommend Hank's for food and Sabrina for her effort and investment into making sure we had everything we wanted at our wedding!

Hanks catered our wedding at Faithbrooke this June and the food was amazing! Everyone said how delicious it was! They were so easy to work with and everything went off without a hitch! Definitely recommend!

Hank's catered our Stanley, VA wedding and was great from start to finish. They answered our many questions on building the menu that fit our event. They put together a delicious tasting and were honest with us when we had gotten a bit over ambitious with the amount of food. And they accommodated a late night snack and having staff stay to clean up. The food was absolutely delicious and got rave reviews from the attendees. In particular, we were very happy with the vegetarian jambalaya, one of a number of great vegetarian options from this BBQ joint. The pork was also delicious, the sides were great, and the bar package was affordable and fun to put together. Would highly recommend them for your wedding!

We hired Hanks to cater our big wedding (we had a small ceremony in 2021) and we loved it. They were very responsive, and we were happy with all of the options that were available. We are able to personalize what we wanted for the day. We and our guests were very happy with the quality of food and service, and we were glad there were leftovers to enjoy later.

Hank's is not only wonderful to work with, but the food is absolutely to die for. We still get comments about how amazing the food was, especially the brisket. You want to keep your guests well fed and Hank's is the best to do it. Sabrina was super easy to communicate with and we never had to worry about her getting back to us. Everything was quick and seamless. They offered us a wide range of food for anyone with an allergy and they even let us come do the tasting before we signed the contract which clearly sealed the deal. We also needed to find a bartender and Hank's was happy let us use a bartender for our venue as well. So overall, food is tasty, easy to work with, and very affordable for a wedding. They do it all!

Hanks was such a pleasure to work with! They were super responsive, professional, and knew what they were doing! The food was DELICIOUS, I heard from a lot of guests that it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding (and we agree)! They were very adaptable as well when it started raining and had to change the plan. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVED having Hank's cater our wedding! Both my husband and I are more low-key people, so we knew we wanted something simple for dinner. A BBQ buffet fit the bill perfectly! The food was fantastic and all of our guests seemed to get their fill plus some! Our plates were piled high with food and the servers made sure we got enough drinks as well. We worked with Sabrina in coordinating the logistics of the contract, details, etc. She was very helpful in offering advice about how many drinks to provide guests, variety of options, etc. Sabrina was also very helpful in rescheduling due to COVID and made everything very simple in our transition to the new date. We loved working with Hank's and would recommend them to anyone getting married in the central Virginia area!

Hank's provided catering services for our wedding reception and everything was wonderful. The process working with Sabrina was extremely easy -- from the quote, tasting, to day of. We also had to postpone our wedding due to COVID 2x and Hank's was very understanding and accommodating. It was great to feel no stress about the caterer/food throughout the very long planning process. Finally the day came, and everything went smoothly! The service was great (shout out to April our bartender who was the best!) and the food was delicious. Our guests were going back for seconds and thirds and we still had a ton of leftover food to take home the next day. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu but do not miss out on their baked beans! so good. Oh and the key lime pie tarts..... Also, even though Hank's does BBQ; they do offer vegetarian and gluten-free options to ensure all guests are covered. Highly recommend.

Delicious Food and Five Star Service We used Hank's Catering for our May 15 wedding. Booking their catering services was an easy process and so was selecting our menu. We are so grateful for them working with us through our postponement due to COVID-19, and scheduling our new date with no extra fees. Sabrina and Team were a delight to work with leading up to and on the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing! After dinner was served, they packaged all of the leftovers for us to take and continue to enjoy after the reception. We will recommend Hank's over and over again! You can't go wrong with any of their food options. Definitely choose their Juniper Chicken, it's absolutely delicious. We're looking forward to visiting Hank's Grille soon for more tasty cuisine!

I cannot possible say enough good things about Hanks in this little blurb. First of all, their service, responsiveness, communication, and value for what you get is unmatched. I had an unsettling experience with a different catering vendor prior, and the Hanks team was just absolutely amazing. Secondly, their food was just outstanding. As the Bride, I throughly enjoyed my meal and I know our guests did as well. They have a variety of options and everything tasted great. When it comes to a wedding, food is important. You are spending a lot of money to serve your nearest and dearest and at the end of the day you want it to taste good and have plenty of options for all to enjoy. We ordered BBQ, but they also had many sides to choose from for vegetarian options, in addition to gluten free. Food was hot, flavorful, and at the end of the day exactly what we were looking for. We also had them do cocktail hour and desserts (not the cake but other desserts) and those were equally delicious! And the Bar package, let me just say the bar tender was unmatched in customer service and the signature drinks we had are still being talked about and I am sure will be talked about for years to come. Our guests had a great time, and she was quick and efficient with serving. I cannot say enough about their customer service. They were a JOY to work with, and Sabrina was just outstanding. Planning a COVID wedding is stressful to say the least, and their understanding made everything that much easier. Furthermore, somewhere in the planning, I needed to add a Sunday Brunch. I asked Hank's if they had the ability to do so and they did! Brunch was ALSO amazing! I'm not sure how they do it all, from BBQ to drinks to breakfast, but let me tell you they are the ones to hire if you want something that tastes good and want to have you guests happy. And at the end of the day they were more than cost effective. We were the happiest couple that they were apart of our day. Thanks!

Sabrina was wonderful to work with! And the food was delicious! All of our guests were so happy! We look forward to going back to the restaurant and eating there (as we do every so often when we are able). We had a sit-down dinner, as we wanted to be safe with not having a buffet due to the pandemic. Honestly, the sit-down dinner was perfect. I loved making sure everyone had food before the rest of the festivities continued. We included a bartender for our event from Hank's, and they did a great job. We really enjoyed using Hank's services, and our day wouldn't have been the same without them. We found out about Hank's through our wedding venue owners. Overall, Hank's is the best and you should 100% use them for your event!

Hank's catered our wedding rehearsal dinner and did a great job! The food was delicious and ready to serve as soon as the dinner started. The staff was also very friendly and they were always very responsive via e-mail. I would definitely recommend Hanks to anybody looking for a caterer for their wedding!

The catering crew on our wedding day worked efficiently and provided a great meal to our guests. The food was delicious! We hired Hank's as our caterer for our destination wedding from PA to VA. We had such a great time at our tasting & everything was delicious! My fiance could not stop talking about their two different briskets! We worked with Sabrina throughout. She was always so friendly & responsive! Mid-pandemic, we decided to change our wedding to a small ceremony with a nice dinner for the 2 of us. Sabrina was very happy to accommodate us. She created an awesome menu. After our ceremony our dinner was delivered & plated for us by the chef! Our food was amazing! What a fantastic experience!

Sabrina was so nice to work with. She was very accommodating with the changes due to the pandemic. The tasting was very enjoyable and the food at the tasting as well as at the wedding was delicious. I always worry about the the food not tasting as well during a buffet, but we got many compliments with how good the food was!

Hank’s did an awesome job with our September wedding! We had happy hour appetizers, a dinner buffet with pulled pork and brisket and cake cutting through them! The plate-wear they provided was beautiful and it went so beautifully with our decorations! The brisket was to die for!! And they boxed up the left overs that we got to enjoy later that night and the next day! The staff were friendly and leading up to the event Matt and Sabrina were so great at answering every question! Thank you all for helping us have the most magical day!

We worked mostly with Matt for our wedding at Moss Vineyards in Nortonsville, VA. We had such a great experience. We had the brisket and chicken, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies and dips for apps. The brisket is SO good. Everything was hot and yummy for everyone. Matt and his team were so accommodating and helpful on the day of. We are very glad with our choice of Hank's!

Hanks was so easy to work with. From the tasting to the wedding, everything was so smooth. Matt was a big help in selecting sides and appetizers. The food was fantastic. They clean up and pack up all left overs for you! Sadly, our favorite, mac and cheese, went so we had none for the next day! Well priced and highly suggest to others.

We had our rehearsal dinner (for 100+ people) catered by Hank's, and it was fantastic! Great service and delicious food, with great options to choose from. The guests absolutely LOVED it. Hank's was very accommodating of our last-minute reservation request and the service was great. Definitely recommend them!!

Hanks was great to work with. The manager, Matt, was very responsive and pleasant, even when we made changes. We ordered place settings through them and they set them up with the napkins we supplied and everything looked beautiful. They also provided bartending services (but allowed us to purchase our own alcohol, saving us some money). They accommodated our speciality (kind of complicated) cocktails and were very friendly. They have many different options but we did the BBQ buffet. Even though it was BBQ, their most affordable option, the presentation was beautiful. The guests loved the food. Even the grilled chicken served buffet-style was moist and delicious.

Hank's is the way to go for a wedding! Matt was great to work with, the food is delicious, you get everything you need and more, professional staff and set up, and all in all affordable. We highly recommend Hank's!

Hank's Grille and Bar makes such good food! They actually catered our wedding and it was a really easy experience, from tasting to contract to the fulfillment of the contract. They were very professional, on time, and the servers were very nice! And of course, the food!!! My guests, even weeks later, were raving about the carved Texas Beef Brisket! Thank you guys!!!

Hank's catered our wedding on March 24th, 2018 at Stover Hall. They came highly recommended by the venue owners and I was relieved to use a vendor so familiar with our venue. The food was fantastic - I highly recommend the beef brisket! Hank's was very accommodating to us in making our menu personalize and outside of the typical wedding package. Our guests loved the food selection. The staff was very attentive at the bar, buffet and in the dining area. I was so incredibly impressed by the service and how great the food was. I would highly recommend them to cater as well as a great restaurant to eat at!

The food was AMAZING. They were flexible when it rained and had to delay my reception. There was slight confusion on payment, but they were very professional.

We used Hank's for both our rehearsal dinner (BBQ) and our wedding (Black Tie). People are still talking about how amazing the food was. I was initially opposed to the idea of a buffet for our wedding, but Hank's did a great job making sure it was laid out both appealingly, and to limit any sort of back up. Everything went perfectly. The value also cannot be beat. We did tastings with other caterers who were asking twice as much for food half as good.

Hanks was hired to be the caterer at our wedding in April 2016 and they did an amazing job! The food was so delicious and was priced very fairly. We ordered pulled pork, slow cooked brisket, and juniper chicken and everything was so good!!! Hank's was great at staying in contact and was great help in doing anything they could to accommodate us. I would highly recommend Hanks to cater your event or just eat some great BBQ.

My husband requested one thing at our wedding and that was good BBQ. I really wanted a cocktail hour with appetizers. Hank's delivered on both ends. Great food and reasonable prices.

The barbecue was AMAZING. Everyone raved about how good the food tasted. My 4 star rating is mostly for the service and lack of communication. We had specifically said that we had several gluten allergies to consider when planning our menu, and Matt guaranteed that only one of our selections was not gluten-free. Well, on the day of, he seemed unsure about was and wasn't gluten-free, so some of our guests had fewer options than we'd hoped. He also was very slow to respond to emails and return phone calls. Otherwise, everything went well the day-of and the servers were prompt and professional!

The food was really good... You always hear complaints about wedding food but our guest actually told us how much they enjoyed the food! The staff was great and super helpful!

Hanks catering was an amazing vendor for my October wedding. They were extremely reasonably priced for the services and food they provided. They were willing to customize the menu for my wedding, travel over an hour from their location, and the food was delicious! The service during my reception and the bartender they provided were professional and efficient. Everyone was raving about the food as well! I would definitely recommend Hanks for a wedding or any catering needs!

I was so pleased with the catering services from Hank's. They were professional and organized and the food was delicious! So many guests from our wedding said that the food was so good that they had to have seconds (we did a buffet style dinner). They are so easy to work with, very reliable and you will love the food!

Hank's catered our reception and bartended our cocktail hour. The staff was amazing and worked really hard. For a fee they stayed until the end to help with clean up and I highly reccomend that service. Their price is VERY reasonable and the food was incredible. The guest were very well fed. There was a little confusion about who would serve our pie. I had discussed it with the person in charge of the catering but it wasn't written into the contract. The staff wasn't aware of that being part of the service but willingly pitched in and helped with the pies. My director was very impressed with their professionalism.

Hank's food and their service is AMAZING. They have a couple different price points so they can work in any price range. They provided a delicious spread for appetizers and had people walking around with them, they also provided bartenders and were there the whole time to help serve. Cutting the cake is an expensive addition to ask someone who knows how to cut the cake to do it. Overall, I highly recommend them.

The food was incredible and the two gentleman that worked at the reception were great, but the presentation was poor. I was also disappointed with the ability to get in touch with the caterer leading up to the wedding.

The food was absolutely delicious, we had their black tie package. The staff was very helpful, it was just awesome. Maybe it was the setting!

The Hank's staff was wonderful to work with, the food was DELICIOUS, and very affordable. These people know what they're doing! We wanted a southern BBQ buffet, and that is what Hank's does best. I only wish I had eaten more at the wedding!
