alism. The food was excellent—during the cocktail hour, the passed appetizers of Caprese skewers and chicken satay skewers were a huge hit. For dinner, the pork barbecue and smoked brisket were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the vegetarian stir fry option was also outstanding and appreciated by our guests. The sides were tasty and Hank’s provided all of the accoutrements our guests needed for a buffet barbecue dinner.
The staff went above and beyond all night. They assisted with both the setup and breakdown of the venue, ensured all leftovers were properly stored, and made cleaning up effortless by ensuring all trash was off tables as the evening went on. Their attention to detail made the day stress-free. We also had an open bar with beer and wine during both the cocktail hour and the reception, which was managed seamlessly by the amazing bartenders —everything was well-stocked and served promptly.

We had our wedding at Shenandoah Woods. We went with the buffet style Brisket, Salmon, Salad, Mashed Potatoes, grilled vegetables, Mac & cheese, Rolls. The food was very good and our guests told us they enjoyed it as well. For cocktail hour we had charcuterie boards and pulled pork BBQ sliders. It was the best BBQ of my life. We had the full bar package at $35/person (45 people) and we pick 2 specialty cocktails the peachy keen (big hit) and espresso martini. For dessert we had the brownie bars which were 10/10 amazing and mini pumpkin pies. I will say that they did not cut up my wedding sheet cakes which I thought they were going to do. They did cut up the 2 tier cake that I had and served it, but the 2 sheet cakes I had left over from the wedding.
The wedding package started at $28.99/person and we had add-ons like gold plated silverware and plates, wine glasses, plus the premium entrees were an upcharge. Overall our cost for 53 guests (includes vendor meals) was about $7,500 for the reception.
We also had them cater the rehersal dinner the night before at the same location the pavillion at shenandoah woods. The staff they had were great, friendly and professional. They provided a bartender for us at the rehearsal dinner and we opted to provide our own alcohol for the rehearsal dinner for them to serve (we just had to get an ABC license). We had a taco bar buffet for the rehearsal dinner with steak and chicken which was very good. I especially liked the toppings and the sauces. The queso was the best EVER.
For both the rehearsal and the reception they boxed up the leftovers in the fridge and we had a lot to take home!

The staff was extremely accommodating throughout the night, going above and beyond to ensure our guests were well taken care of. They even packed some food to go for family members who weren’t able to attend, which was such a thoughtful touch.
And I won’t forget to mention that the food was amazing! The juniper chicken and pork bbq were delicious and the guests loved it!

delicious options we selected for the dinner buffet included salmon with lemon tarragon sauce, beef brisket, and Fresca chicken. These entrees didn't disappoint (especially the incredible brisket). They were paired perfectly with the scalloped potatoes, veggies, green beans and mac n cheese. We received compliments from our guests all around.
Sabrina, Matt and team provided spectacular service throughout the planning and on the day of the wedding. Virginia – about 10 hours from our home. We sought a non-fussy and tasty caterer for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Our wedding planner suggested Hank's Grille & Catering.
Sabrina, Hank's Catering Director, was very accommodating and took the time to answer our questions. The remote booking process was a breeze. Thank you for keeping it easy for us, Sabrina!
Our final menu included Texas brisket, pulled pork, green beans with ham, macaroni and cheese, and assorted dessert bars. Hank's also delivered buns, three types of their signature barbeque sauces, paper plates, plastic utensils for serving and eating, and napkins. Our order arrived on time and hot and was set up for us to enjoy buffet-style at our wedding venue.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed the fare from Hank's. The mac and cheese might've been the least exciting dish - it was good but could have been better. The crowd favorites were the pulled pork and green beans with ham. They were both wonderfully smokey!
After dinner, in-depth negotiations ensued about who could take the leftovers home. "Fine, you can have some pulled pork... but I get the rest of this bottle of barbeque sauce!" It's a good sign when your friends and family are fighting to take the leftovers home!

The food was absolutely delicious and got rave reviews from the attendees. In particular, we were very happy with the vegetarian jambalaya, one of a number of great vegetarian options from this BBQ joint. The pork was also delicious, the sides were great, and the bar package was affordable and fun to put together. Would highly recommend them for your wedding!

They offered us a wide range of food for anyone with an allergy and they even let us come do the tasting before we signed the contract which clearly sealed the deal. We also needed to find a bartender and Hank's was happy let us use a bartender for our venue as well. So overall, food is tasty, easy to work with, and very affordable for a wedding. They do it all!

We also had to postpone our wedding due to COVID 2x and Hank's was very understanding and accommodating. It was great to feel no stress about the caterer/food throughout the very long planning process. Finally the day came, and everything went smoothly! The service was great (shout out to April our bartender who was the best!) and the food was delicious. Our guests were going back for seconds and thirds and we still had a ton of leftover food to take home the next day. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu but do not miss out on their baked beans! so good. Oh and the key lime pie tarts..... Also, even though Hank's does BBQ; they do offer vegetarian and gluten-free options to ensure all guests are covered. Highly recommend.

Sabrina and Team were a delight to work with leading up to and on the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing! After dinner was served, they packaged all of the leftovers for us to take and continue to enjoy after the reception. We will recommend Hank's over and over again!
You can't go wrong with any of their food options. Definitely choose their Juniper Chicken, it's absolutely delicious.

d an unsettling experience with a different catering vendor prior, and the Hanks team was just absolutely amazing. Secondly, their food was just outstanding. As the Bride, I throughly enjoyed my meal and I know our guests did as well. They have a variety of options and everything tasted great. When it comes to a wedding, food is important. You are spending a lot of money to serve your nearest and dearest and at the end of the day you want it to taste good and have plenty of options for all to enjoy. We ordered BBQ, but they also had many sides to choose from for vegetarian options, in addition to gluten free. Food was hot, flavorful, and at the end of the day exactly what we were looking for. We also had them do cocktail hour and desserts (not the cake but other desserts) and those were equally delicious! And the Bar package, let me just say the bar tender was unmatched in customer service and the signature drinks we had are still being talked about and I am sure will be talked about for years to come. Our guests had a great time, and she was quick and efficient with serving.
I cannot say enough about their customer service. They were a JOY to work with, and Sabrina was just outstanding. Planning a COVID wedding is stressful to say the least, and their understanding made everything that much easier.
Furthermore, somewhere in the planning, I needed to add a Sunday Brunch. I asked Hank's if they had the ability to do so and they did! Brunch was ALSO amazing! I'm not sure how they do it all, from BBQ to drinks to breakfast, but let me tell you they are the ones to hire if you want something that tastes good and want to have you guests happy. several gluten allergies to consider when planning our menu, and Matt guaranteed that only one of our selections was not gluten-free. Well, on the day of, he seemed unsure about was and wasn't gluten-free, so some of our guests had fewer options than we'd hoped. He also was very slow to respond to emails and return phone calls. Otherwise, everything went well the day-of and the servers were prompt and professional!
