Sabrina and the team at Hank's were amazing. And at a way better cost than others. From bartending to food service to helping with clean up and breakdown to cake service and more, ...
they crushed it. People were still talking about the prime rib days after!
Hank’s Grille & Catering provided a truly full-service experience for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier! From start to finish, everything was handled with care and profession...
alism. The food was excellent—during the cocktail hour, the passed appetizers of Caprese skewers and chicken satay skewers were a huge hit. For dinner, the pork barbecue and smoked brisket were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the vegetarian stir fry option was also outstanding and appreciated by our guests. The sides were tasty and Hank’s provided all of the accoutrements our guests needed for a buffet barbecue dinner.
The staff went above and beyond all night. They assisted with both the setup and breakdown of the venue, ensured all leftovers were properly stored, and made cleaning up effortless by ensuring all trash was off tables as the evening went on. Their attention to detail made the day stress-free. We also had an open bar with beer and wine during both the cocktail hour and the reception, which was managed seamlessly by the amazing bartenders —everything was well-stocked and served promptly.
A special shout-out to Sabrina, the catering director, who was incredibly responsive via email and answered every question quickly and thoroughly. Hank’s Grille & Catering truly delivered a complete, worry-free experience. We highly recommend them for any event—you’ll be in great hands

tes and had great questions for us to make sure we were getting what we wanted. She was quick to respond via email and her quotes were always accurate.
We had our wedding at Shenandoah Woods. We went with the buffet style Brisket, Salmon, Salad, Mashed Potatoes, grilled vegetables, Mac & cheese, Rolls. The food was very good and our guests told us they enjoyed it as well. For cocktail hour we had charcuterie boards and pulled pork BBQ sliders. It was the best BBQ of my life. We had the full bar package at $35/person (45 people) and we pick 2 specialty cocktails the peachy keen (big hit) and espresso martini. For dessert we had the brownie bars which were 10/10 amazing and mini pumpkin pies. I will say that they did not cut up my wedding sheet cakes which I thought they were going to do. They did cut up the 2 tier cake that I had and served it, but the 2 sheet cakes I had left over from the wedding.
The wedding package started at $28.99/person and we had add-ons like gold plated silverware and plates, wine glasses, plus the premium entrees were an upcharge. Overall our cost for 53 guests (includes vendor meals) was about $7,500 for the reception.
We also had them cater the rehersal dinner the night before at the same location the pavillion at shenandoah woods. The staff they had were great, friendly and professional. They provided a bartender for us at the rehearsal dinner and we opted to provide our own alcohol for the rehearsal dinner for them to serve (we just had to get an ABC license). We had a taco bar buffet for the rehearsal dinner with steak and chicken which was very good. I especially liked the toppings and the sauces. The queso was the best EVER.
For both the rehearsal and the reception they boxed up the leftovers in the fridge and we had a lot to take home!
I love that we were supporting a local business in the area. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!
Hank’s did an amazing job catering our wedding! From day one, Sabrina was so helpful—always quick to respond and ready with answers to any questions I had. On the wedding day, Mike...
even came by the venue early to look over the layout and check in with me to make sure everything would run smoothly, which I appreciated so much.
The staff was extremely accommodating throughout the night, going above and beyond to ensure our guests were well taken care of. They even packed some food to go for family members who weren’t able to attend, which was such a thoughtful touch.
And I won’t forget to mention that the food was amazing! The juniper chicken and pork bbq were delicious and the guests loved it!
Everything about our experience with Hank’s was wonderful, and I’m so grateful for their hard work in making our wedding a success. Highly recommend!

est of all, the food was absolutely delicious! They were very flexible when we wanted to edit the cocktail hour appetizers, and it worked out perfectly. We did the buffet, and everything was a hit (the pulled pork and mac n cheese was my favorite). I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have the yummiest (and reasonably priced) food at their wedding!
We had heard rave reviews from so many who had worked with Hank's Catering in the past. Hank's continued their stellar service and cuisine for our wedding at Guildford Farm. The ...
delicious options we selected for the dinner buffet included salmon with lemon tarragon sauce, beef brisket, and Fresca chicken. These entrees didn't disappoint (especially the incredible brisket). They were paired perfectly with the scalloped potatoes, veggies, green beans and mac n cheese. We received compliments from our guests all around.
Sabrina, Matt and team provided spectacular service throughout the planning and on the day of the wedding. They couldn't have been more kind or thoughtful during the planning - helping us consider things we wouldn't have thought of otherwise. They helped us create a wonderful experience for our guests. Kudos and thanks!

Virginia – about 10 hours from our home. We sought a non-fussy and tasty caterer for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Our wedding planner suggested Hank's Grille & Catering.
Sabrina, Hank's Catering Director, was very accommodating and took the time to answer our questions. The remote booking process was a breeze. Thank you for keeping it easy for us, Sabrina!
Our final menu included Texas brisket, pulled pork, green beans with ham, macaroni and cheese, and assorted dessert bars. Hank's also delivered buns, three types of their signature barbeque sauces, paper plates, plastic utensils for serving and eating, and napkins. Our order arrived on time and hot and was set up for us to enjoy buffet-style at our wedding venue.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed the fare from Hank's. The mac and cheese might've been the least exciting dish - it was good but could have been better. The crowd favorites were the pulled pork and green beans with ham. They were both wonderfully smokey!
After dinner, in-depth negotiations ensued about who could take the leftovers home. "Fine, you can have some pulled pork... but I get the rest of this bottle of barbeque sauce!" It's a good sign when your friends and family are fighting to take the leftovers home!
Hank's Grille & Catering provides tremendous value. Their prices were extremely reasonable for tasty food, generous portions, and courteous staff. Thank you, Hank's!
Hanks is an awesome caterer to work with! Their food was delicious and Sabrina was so helpful throughout the entire process. She was always reachable via phone/ text/ or email and ...
willing to answer any and all questions. The amount of compliments I got on the food from my guests was awesome! Wedding food can be hit or miss but EVERYTHING I ate my wedding night beginning at cocktail hour, to dinner, to our late night snacks was so yummy. I highly recommend Hank's for food and Sabrina for her effort and investment into making sure we had everything we wanted at our wedding!
Great food! We utilized a buffet service and everyone loved it! Great presentation. Sabrina was super knowledgeable and great to work with!

asting and were honest with us when we had gotten a bit over ambitious with the amount of food. And they accommodated a late night snack and having staff stay to clean up. The food was absolutely delicious and got rave reviews from the attendees. In particular, we were very happy with the vegetarian jambalaya, one of a number of great vegetarian options from this BBQ joint. The pork was also delicious, the sides were great, and the bar package was affordable and fun to put together. Would highly recommend them for your wedding!

We are able to personalize what we wanted for the day. We and our guests were very happy with the quality of food and service, and we were glad there were leftovers to enjoy later.

r guests well fed and Hank's is the best to do it. Sabrina was super easy to communicate with and we never had to worry about her getting back to us. Everything was quick and seamless. They offered us a wide range of food for anyone with an allergy and they even let us come do the tasting before we signed the contract which clearly sealed the deal. We also needed to find a bartender and Hank's was happy let us use a bartender for our venue as well. So overall, food is tasty, easy to work with, and very affordable for a wedding. They do it all!

e best food they’ve ever had at a wedding (and we agree)! They were very adaptable as well when it started raining and had to change the plan. Would highly recommend!

ectly! The food was fantastic and all of our guests seemed to get their fill plus some! Our plates were piled high with food and the servers made sure we got enough drinks as well.
We worked with Sabrina in coordinating the logistics of the contract, details, etc. She was very helpful in offering advice about how many drinks to provide guests, variety of options, etc. Sabrina was also very helpful in rescheduling due to COVID and made everything very simple in our transition to the new date. We loved working with Hank's and would recommend them to anyone getting married in the central Virginia area!
Hank's provided catering services for our wedding reception and everything was wonderful. The process working with Sabrina was extremely easy -- from the quote, tasting, to day of....
We also had to postpone our wedding due to COVID 2x and Hank's was very understanding and accommodating. It was great to feel no stress about the caterer/food throughout the very long planning process. Finally the day came, and everything went smoothly! The service was great (shout out to April our bartender who was the best!) and the food was delicious. Our guests were going back for seconds and thirds and we still had a ton of leftover food to take home the next day. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu but do not miss out on their baked beans! so good. Oh and the key lime pie tarts..... Also, even though Hank's does BBQ; they do offer vegetarian and gluten-free options to ensure all guests are covered. Highly recommend.
They catered our wedding and the food was AMAZING! The guests loved it. Leading up to the wedding they communicated very clearly with us.
Delicious Food and Five Star Service

rateful for them working with us through our postponement due to COVID-19, and scheduling our new date with no extra fees. Sabrina and Team were a delight to work with leading up to and on the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing! After dinner was served, they packaged all of the leftovers for us to take and continue to enjoy after the reception. We will recommend Hank's over and over again!
You can't go wrong with any of their food options. Definitely choose their Juniper Chicken, it's absolutely delicious.
We're looking forward to visiting Hank's Grille soon for more tasty cuisine!
I cannot possible say enough good things about Hanks in this little blurb. First of all, their service, responsiveness, communication, and value for what you get is unmatched. I ha...
d an unsettling experience with a different catering vendor prior, and the Hanks team was just absolutely amazing. Secondly, their food was just outstanding. As the Bride, I throughly enjoyed my meal and I know our guests did as well. They have a variety of options and everything tasted great. When it comes to a wedding, food is important. You are spending a lot of money to serve your nearest and dearest and at the end of the day you want it to taste good and have plenty of options for all to enjoy. We ordered BBQ, but they also had many sides to choose from for vegetarian options, in addition to gluten free. Food was hot, flavorful, and at the end of the day exactly what we were looking for. We also had them do cocktail hour and desserts (not the cake but other desserts) and those were equally delicious! And the Bar package, let me just say the bar tender was unmatched in customer service and the signature drinks we had are still being talked about and I am sure will be talked about for years to come. Our guests had a great time, and she was quick and efficient with serving.
I cannot say enough about their customer service. They were a JOY to work with, and Sabrina was just outstanding. Planning a COVID wedding is stressful to say the least, and their understanding made everything that much easier.
Furthermore, somewhere in the planning, I needed to add a Sunday Brunch. I asked Hank's if they had the ability to do so and they did! Brunch was ALSO amazing! I'm not sure how they do it all, from BBQ to drinks to breakfast, but let me tell you they are the ones to hire if you want something that tastes good and want to have you guests happy. And at the end of the day they were more than cost effective. We were the happiest couple that they were apart of our day. Thanks!
Sabrina was wonderful to work with! And the food was delicious! All of our guests were so happy! We look forward to going back to the restaurant and eating there (as we do every so...
often when we are able). We had a sit-down dinner, as we wanted to be safe with not having a buffet due to the pandemic. Honestly, the sit-down dinner was perfect. I loved making sure everyone had food before the rest of the festivities continued.
We included a bartender for our event from Hank's, and they did a great job. We really enjoyed using Hank's services, and our day wouldn't have been the same without them.
We found out about Hank's through our wedding venue owners. Overall, Hank's is the best and you should 100% use them for your event!

napkins we supplied and everything looked beautiful. They also provided bartending services (but allowed us to purchase our own alcohol, saving us some money). They accommodated our speciality (kind of complicated) cocktails and were very friendly. They have many different options but we did the BBQ buffet. Even though it was BBQ, their most affordable option, the presentation was beautiful. The guests loved the food. Even the grilled chicken served buffet-style was moist and delicious.

ood was fantastic - I highly recommend the beef brisket! Hank's was very accommodating to us in making our menu personalize and outside of the typical wedding package. Our guests loved the food selection. The staff was very attentive at the bar, buffet and in the dining area. I was so incredibly impressed by the service and how great the food was. I would highly recommend them to cater as well as a great restaurant to eat at!
The food was AMAZING. They were flexible when it rained and had to delay my reception. There was slight confusion on payment, but they were very professional.
Delicious and affordable! Was a huge hit with our guests! Plenty of food and the staff were incredibly helpful! Would highly recommend
We used Hank's for both our rehearsal dinner (BBQ) and our wedding (Black Tie). People are still talking about how amazing the food was.
I was initially opposed to the idea of a ...
buffet for our wedding, but Hank's did a great job making sure it was laid out both appealingly, and to limit any sort of back up. Everything went perfectly.
The value also cannot be beat. We did tastings with other caterers who were asking twice as much for food half as good.

several gluten allergies to consider when planning our menu, and Matt guaranteed that only one of our selections was not gluten-free. Well, on the day of, he seemed unsure about was and wasn't gluten-free, so some of our guests had fewer options than we'd hoped. He also was very slow to respond to emails and return phone calls. Otherwise, everything went well the day-of and the servers were prompt and professional!
The food was really good... You always hear complaints about wedding food but our guest actually told us how much they enjoyed the food! The staff was great and super helpful!
