Hanover Inn Dartmouth

We held our wedding reception at the Hanover Inn and could not have been more pleased! The day was beyond anything we had dreamed of and it was in a huge part due to the Inn's superb service and their invaluable new event coordinator Kate Martel! The food was delicious, the cake was beautiful and tasted even better, the guest rooms were exquisite, and the staff and management was truly a pleasure to work with! They took all of the stress and worry out of the planning process and the big day, and made sure everything went smoothly. The fact that we used the Hanover Inn for the catering & bar, cake, guest hotel, and following day breakfast made everything incredibly easy for us and they executed it all perfectly and with added extra touches that really made the event special! The Upper Valley is a relatively small area, and we looked at many of the options for our wedding location before we chose the Inn. While it is on the expensive side in comparison with some of the other venues, the services the Hanover Inn delivers surpass the difference in price. After our event I could not imagine having it anywhere else! I have been to two weddings at the Inn (my own and a friends) and as a bride and a guest I was amazed and impressed by both! I would highly recommend the Hanover Inn for future brides and anyone seeking a venue for a special event!

I first went to the Hanover Inn because their prices were very competitive. Long story short, our wedding colors were bright pink and bright orange and when I entered my wedding reception I saw our cake and it was orange and purple...needless to say I was very upset. When we called to complain about the cake, they tried to blame the color on the fondant drying and becoming darker once it dried. On top of the color being completely off, the cake was suppose to have a raspberry filling and of course it didn't. All my wedding pictures that have the cake in it need to be turned black and white just so they don't clash with everything else.

The Hanover Inn did a wonderful job. The venue was absolutely beautiful and perfect for what we were looking for. Everyone there was so helpful and accomodating, they really made us feel at ease and provided a nice helping hand. The planning was relively stress free and on the night of the wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing. They were so thoughful and professional, I would highly recommend having a wedding here.
