Hans Hutchison DJ & Guitarist

s cool vibes. When we began working with him, he set up a meeting to coordinate every detail, from procession song to cake cutting song and he had great input. Our wedding did not have a single moment without people on the dance floor, a credit to his spectacular work as a DJ. He also helped Emcee the event with amazing energy. We are so grateful to have worked with him!

rfectly mixed in others that we also loved. We were worried it would be a quiet dance floor at times, but nobody stopped dancing all night! On top of the fun party element, Hans was very intentional when it came to hosting the night and guiding our guests through the different events in a way that let the night flow naturally. We followed our wedding planner's recommendation when selecting Hans, and we are so glad we did! Couldn't recommend enough.

solutely book him.

listened to what we were hoping for as well as brought his expertise, thinking of details that made the wedding even better. He was so easy to work with and professional. We are grateful Hans was a part of our big day.

or every part of the day. My husband and I are very intentional about music & the meaning behind songs we love, so we had a lot of deeply personal choices we wanted woven throughout the day. He cared so genuinely about that vision and incorporated everything so seamlessly that many of those songs are now forever part of the soundtrack of our marriage. The dance floor was hands down the most fun wedding dance floor I’ve ever been on. The music was absolutely top tier. It was never empty for a second and the energy was unmatched. Guests are still talking about it. In fact, it was so fun that when the brand-new Taylor Swift song dropped, he jumped out onto the dance floor with us. My friends can’t stop laughing about how good the vibes were that even the DJ had to join in. On top of being an incredible DJ, the fact that he also is his own live music as a guitarist is such a steal. He has an amazing ability to read the room and foster exactly the environment needed at each moment of the day, from ceremony to cocktail hour to the party of our lives. Every call leading up to the wedding was amazing. He’s realistic, thoughtful, and answered all of my many (many!) questions with patience and clarity. On the wedding day, he arrived early, set everything up in advance, and even planned for rain, which, surprise, actually happened. Because of him, everything still went off flawlessly. He’s a genuinely great guy, an incredible value, and an absolute professional. We couldn’t imagine working with anyone else and would recommend him a thousand times over.

ofessional the entire time. He has a particular attention to detail that just made us feel like things were under control and the evening played out perfectly!  Hans played guitar during cocktail hour to set the tone for the evening then he created the best atmosphere for our guests during dinner service. Sound was perfect for speeches and toasts. When the dance floor opened he had people out there the whole night. We’ve had numerous compliments from all of our guests about how great the music was. We cannot recommend him more highly. Thank you Hans!!  - Josie and Daniel Pintor

light and fun oration as he led the dance floor and events. We owe him so much more than just a review. Thank you, Hans. You are second to none! Brother John Misty!!

e hoped for. He’s so detailed with his timeline and our pre-wedding meeting. He played the acoustic guitar at the ceremony which made things 10 times better than I could have imagined! I will recommend Hans to anyone that has a wedding or an event coming up. If I could have another wedding I would hire him in a heartbeat! Hans made our day so incredible and I am forever grateful! 🤍

ly and take all requests! My wife and I are so so happy we chose to go with Hans and can’t wait to recommend him to anyone and everyone! Communication was always extremely clear which is super important! We moved away from our initial music requests and a lot of the songs requested were on the fly. He worked with us through all our changes and never disappointed. It appeared as if he was also having fun which just added another level of enjoyment through the entire experience.

eeds!!

know us prior to our wedding, made sure he played our favorite songs, and kept the party going throughout the night! We cannot express how much we appreciated his time to make our day extra special! Thank you, Hans!

s she immediately knew Hans was the man for the job (: Hans was wonderful to work with and I wish I had another reason to work with him again! He was so kind and chill through the entire process. He let me be a control freak and select every single song that was to be played. He helped curate the vibe of each section of the wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) and was thorough in making sure each part of the wedding flowed nicely. Music is so important to me, my now husband, and our family so the songs he played for us in those few hours will be bookmarks in our lives forever <3 Thank you so much, Hans! You truly made my wedding day so special!!

wedding, developed a playlist of our choices, major dance songs (fist dance, father/daughter, etc.) with he customized to fit shorter play times, and even learned an acoustic song we specifically requested for walking down the aisle. We communicated frequently leading up to our day, and he went over the schedule from top to bottom to make sure he had our heart's desires hand ready. Most importantly, Hans is a decent human being, who radiates empathy and safeguarded our special day. Cannot recommend enough!

e to understand our music taste and crafted the perfect playlist for every part of the evening. Once the dancing started, the energy never stopped—our guests were on the dance floor all night long! The vibe was spot-on, and the music kept everyone—from grandparents to college friends—completely engaged. If you want a DJ who truly listens, brings energy, and knows how to keep a party going, look no further. Highly recommend!

nd helpful in picking music and keeping the chill vibe of the wedding. Cannot say enough great things about Hans.

the music he played (acoustic guitar for the ceremony and DJ reception) was just perfect. He knows how to read the room and play the music to get people up and out of their seats! We could not recommend Hans more highly! He is awesome.

wanted for each specific part of the wedding. A huge reason why we booked him is because he also plays the guitar - it was so special to have an acoustic guitar as the backdrop to our ceremony. He is an exceptional musician in addition to a great DJ, and knew exactly what songs to play to keep our guests happy! Our friends even commented on how great the DJ was. Thanks again, Hans!

he mics, lights, sound equipment, and all the MC-ing and DJ-ing from set-up to take-down. Send him a playlist and let him be the Vibe Manager at your wedding. You and your partner will be anxious, exhausted, and overwhelmed leading up to your wedding day, but the one thing you won't have to worry about is Hans. My wife and I had so much fun and our guests had a great time too. The parents, the grandmas, the kids, even our socially-awkward friends all had a ton of fun out on our dance floor. I'm pretty sure my mother-in-law was dancing to Shakira's Hips Don't Lie at one point... People probably won't remember what they ate or the color of your table chargers, but they will remember having a blast. He is a pro who knows what he is doing at all times and knows how to make a wedding fun and memorable from ceremony to last dance. If you're going to splurge on one thing at your wedding, go with Hans.

g, even stopping by with water for us while we were out in the sun taking pictures. The acoustic guitar was absolutely beautiful during the ceremony and the dance floor was POPPING all night! We literally danced the night away and had the time of our lives!!! Everyone raved about Hans and he made such a great impression that my sister and her fiancé booked him for their wedding next year too😊 If you want a stress free, perfect, super fun, dance party wedding then Hans is your DJ!

d how in tune he was with the crowd, he was totally reading the energy of the room and matched it!! Thanks, Hans!

s danced all night long and commented how great our DJ was! He worked with us leading up to the wedding to make the event exactly what we wanted and provided his expert advice to ensure everything was perfect. If you are looking for an amazing DJ for your wedding, hire Hans and you will not be disappointed.

ory” by Taylor swift to his guitar repertoire) and he got everyone partying at the reception! We would recommend him to anybody.

. He was incredibly supportive and attentive throughout the entire planning process, ensuring that all our preferences and requests were meticulously noted. On our wedding day, Hans executed everything flawlessly. His attention to detail and ability to read the crowd ensured that the music perfectly matched the mood of each moment. His live guitar playing during our ceremony was the perfect cherry on top. Our guests had an amazing time, and we received numerous compliments on the fantastic music and seamless flow of the event. ception and dance atmosphere thereafter. Would highly recommend Hans, your guests won’t want to leave the dance floor!

ad such an amazing time and would highly recommend!

ial day! We loved working with him and could not recommend him more highly!!!

ng up to the wedding day. He provided me with a template to fill out for music which helped blend into our wedding timeline. He let me create my own playlist for the reception and adjusted as needed. I decided I wanted some acoustic music and he played guitar for my ceremony which was such a nice touch. Throughout the evening of the wedding, Hans had great energy and checked in with me. We originally planned to end earlier in the night, but extended and Hans was flexible with adjusting to our later time. Great communication via email, text and phone. Could not recommend him more!

sional, and we are so grateful he made our wedding so special!

He is so fun and down-to-earth and made the entire process so easy. I took such comfort in his calm demeanor and had too many positive comments from guests on his great playlist to count. He took the time to add some flair to our ceremony music (Here Comes the Sun, a favorite of my recently passed father that he updated so it felt like he was there) and, a huge bonus, Hans even found out my husband loves Star Wars and gave us a lightsaber and some tunes to enjoy! :) Hans, thank you for everything--I was so delighted and fortunate to work with you!

: he is a musician who is incredible on the guitar, he ran the show from start to finish, and handled any transitions and changes like a pro. We were also relieved from the beginning when our venue told us how much they loved working with Hans. Thanks you, Hans, for making our special night perfect. - Ed & Katie Hird

y compliments on what a great DJ we had at our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Hans! Everything went perfect during our night!

assionate. We loved his enthusiasm during the planning process. He was clear about pricing, and quick to respond to communication. He provided us with an outline that helped us select music and organize our timeline, and spent time thoughfully reviewing it with us to make sure everything was ready. Hans identified lots of songs that we might enjoy-we felt like he used his expertise to zero in on song selections that were perfectly suited for our tastes. We also appreciated his insights about the order of events and his many helpful suggestions. On the day of the wedding, Hans was well-prepared and absolutely a huge part of what made our day so wonderful. We loved his performance on the guitar during our ceremony, and he brought such great energy to our reception. Hans is fantastic at reading the crowd and kept our guests on the dance floor all night! He was super flexible with changes, and remained mindful of how they might affect other parts of the reception. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Hans, and we will treasure the great memories he helped create! We highly recommend having him at your wedding!

e is your guy!!

ectations and would recommend him to anybody!

oth were great and Hans was awesome at moving the schedule along and keeping everything organized. As well, it unexpectedly rained very hard the day of the wedding (we were supposed to have an outdoor reception). Hans adapted quickly and made sure all the last minute changes were taken care of.

te. He communicates so well, is incredibly easy and fun to chat with, and gave me confidence immediately in taking care of all of the many things he masters on the day of our wedding. He paid attention to every detail, asked all the questions he needed to, and communicated great with our other vendors as well. Super down to earth & kind. All of my family left saying how much they enjoyed him after getting to meet him. The songs he played on his guitar leading up to the ceremony & after, as well as the songs he played at our reception- were perfect! He reads the room so well, and would kill that no matter how big or small your event is. Seriously look no further than Hans- he’s the best & you won’t regret it!

ith our DJ, photographer, and officiant and we have heard so many compliments since the wedding regarding our day. Hands down, Hans is the right choice!

dding-planning was limited. We had a few things that were important to us from a music perspective, but also a lot of things where we know what we like but cannot quite explain it beyond generalities. Hans did great with the live music and nailed all of our specific requests. He understood our vague preferences and was able to fill in the specifics nicely on his own. He’s friendly, approachable and just an all around professional.

e ceremony and it added the perfect touch to our day. We couldn’t have been happier with Hans!

g until the very end of the night. We loved that he offers the acoustic guitar for the ceremony and then DJs for the reception, and is equally fantastic at both. We gave him pretty free rein on the music choices for the reception and he did not disappoint! We had an absolute blast and Hans was a huge part of that. He was so helpful with planning and is extremely knowledgable about all things wedding and helped us with so much more than just the music - he really knows exactly what he's doing. We would give him 10 stars out of 5 if that was an option. If you are looking for the total package, you can find it in Hans.

as also very kind and friendly every time we communicated. We liked that he wasn’t an “in your face” DJ. He did a perfect amount of MC-ing, played our requested songs and others that matched the vibe perfectly. During the planning process he had great recommendations about how the evening could flow and it all felt seamless. Our favorite part was that he played guitar for our ceremony. My husband and I are both performers so having live music involved, especially during the ceremony, made it feel so incredibly special. Being able to have the best of both worlds (so to speak) was perfect. We highly recommend Hans!

onderful to work with and we can't recommend him enough!

ere primarily looking for someone who was experienced, comfortable directing our wedding as MC, and who had a broad taste in music. From the very beginning, Hans impressed us with his communications, organization, and his very easy-going demeanor. He gave us a thorough wedding organizer that helped us fill in some of the gaps of our wedding plan and helped us establish some of the initial songs and atmosphere of the wedding. We met in person and we were able to talk over the organizer and listen to some collections he has built to determine the feel of our reception. We had some “Must Play” Songs in mind and some pretty strong “absolutely never play songs” and he took them both in equal humor and provided suggestions and excellent music to fill in the gaps. In terms of directing and MC’ing our wedding, I really cannot speak more highly of Hans. We made some adjustments to our plan in the final two weeks leading up to the wedding and he took these in stride and even helped to make them even better than we had envisioned. He is a true team player, and helped everyone involved in the ceremony feel prepared and ready to sound our best. He worked incredibly well with the photographer and even helped direct the reception /dinner when the caterer failed us spectacularly. The entire time he was an absolute professional and we received many compliments about the Hans as our DJ/Host. I am so glad we hired Hans for our wedding, and highly recommend him to everyone! He will be 100% on your team from beginning to end, helping you plan for the perfect day and being ready to roll with the punches if something goes awry. Thank you again Hans, for everything!

ce from start to finish. Hans came highly recommended by other vendors we were working with for our big day. First off, in meetings Hans was professional and quick to reply to our emails and phone calls. He established clear lines of communication and outlined expectations from us to that we could get him what he needed to do his best job. Hans was incredibly easy to work with, and we were able to nail down the details with ease. He helped solve some of the problems that stumped us during the planning phase. As a DJ with many years of experience, he knows the typical flow of these events and where to make personalized adjustments. Hans was flexible with us sharing our playlists and music selection. He knew where to compromise and where to be firm with what would be best for the party. This was really helpful and made both my partner and I feel like we were in good hands during planning. On the day itself, Hans was set up and ready to roll. We truly did not have to think about a thing. He had everything taken care of. Hans had also worked with our venue and was familiar with the staff. A huge plus. Hans played acoustic guitar before our ceremony began, and while we walked out to the altar. This was a wonderful thing to have, and added an intimacy to our ceremony. It’s so great that Hans also offers this along with his DJ services. Hans provided music for the cocktail hour which was outside. We provided him a playlist of songs that we liked, and he handled the rest— weaving together a tapestry of music that provided the backdrop for our guests to mingle. Hans is skilled at track selection and keeping the vibe going. During the reception and dinner, Hans seamlessly handed mics out for speeches and kept the flow of the night going without a hitch. When it came time for dancing, Hans’s skills as a DJ again shined. I don’t think there was even 1 minute where there weren’t people grooving on the dance floor, and many guests came up to us throughout the night to compliment the music and skills of the DJ. The vibe was just right, and kept going until we had to close down for the night. In summary — Hans was the perfect DJ for our wedding. I can’t imagine working with anyone better. It’s a night we will remember forever, and I’m so grateful to have worked with such a talented and wonderful person! If you choose Hans to handle your event, know that you are in very capable hands!
