I’m a wedding DJ and had the privilege of working with Carolyn for a wedding that she planned. As a vendor you get to work with and meet a lot of other vendors in the industry, and I can say that Carolyn was hands down one of the best I’ve worked with! She’s super organized, responsive, caring, and kind! She reached out to me a couple weeks in advance to ask if there was anything I need or had questions that she could help with to make my job easier. Day of wedding came and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to have worked with! Her personality and professionalism was top notch and she just made everything run smoothly with peace of mind! Carolyn was super helpful and gave me a lot of confidence during the planning process. I was planning our wedding across the country, so it was nice to have “feet on the ground” and she did so much for us. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and I am so grateful.
My daughter recently utilized Carolyn's services on her wedding day. What a wonderful decision that was. Carolyn was organized, confident, friendly and always available. She and her assistant Nickie provided reassuring guidance and direction all day long making it as stress free as possible. I could not imagine the wedding being much more perfect and they were instrumental in making that happen.
This was the best wedding decision we made! Carolyn was absolutely amazing. She was organized and provided so much guidance for us. We met regularly leading up to our wedding and Carolyn helped us sort out the final details for our big day. We did a destination wedding in northern Michigan and cannot imagine how we would’ve pulled it all off without Carolyn and Nikki there with us. They are so professional and knowledgeable. They are the reason everything went so smoothly. Our wedding was the most perfect day and I am so grateful we had them there with us!
Carolyn was wonderful to work with. We hired her as a day of coordinator for our wedding in 2020. I assumed that we would meet maybe 3 or 4 times before the wedding, but she was actually much more thorough and we had monthly check in meetings to make sure we were on track with everything. She had a lot of good advice for us when we felt like we didn't know what we were doing. We ended up postponing our wedding a year and Carolyn continued to check in with us and answer my questions. I was so grateful to have her and her assistant Nickie at my rehearsal and wedding. It was so nice to know that someone outside of my family was worrying about all of the details and making sure things were running smoothly. Many of my friends and family commented on how confident and efficient Carolyn and Nickie were. I truly could not imagine doing our wedding without them. My husband and I were able to enjoy our day stress free.
Where do I even begin… Carolyn is absolute ROCK STARRRRR. She is so kind, pays attention to every detail, professional, friendly, non judge mental, and does whatever she possibly can to make your day a dream come true. She is always responsive, supportive, and understanding of you have to reschedule. I didn’t exactly know what a day of coordinator was and I did not expect this. She went above and beyond to keep me organized and scheduled with my to do list and made me think of stuff I never would have thought have. She thinks of everything and takes amazing notes which was great because I didn’t always do this. My day was set up to PERFECTION and she did everything I asked to a T. EVERYONE at my wedding was sooo impressed with her and I was the most impressed because I had a lot of stuff going on haha. She even brought extra help. She truly cared all year long to support me and I really enjoyed speaking to her about it all, she always made it so stress free which the energy every brides needs. She stayed in contact and communicated with all my vendors and even went to the venue beforehand to check it out. She also hooked my up with an amazing baker when I forget to order a wedding cake haha! More of a personal story - my rehearsal was crazy because we had god awful weather and everyone was crazy late, plus a tree fell down blocking the venue - she handled it all with grace and made quick adjustments and owned the room with the rehearsal and it went awesome and made sure everyone was comfortable with how the actual wedding would look. I couldn’t imagine doing a rehearsal with 25 people without her. Day of - my photographers were a nightmare and treated everyone and her like garbage. She kept me as calm as she could and handled them with complete professionalism and didn’t tell me everything in fear of upsetting me. She even kicked them out for me! I know other issues were going on (like the power going out lol) in the background and she kept them to herself and just handled them calmly and efficiently. But still in the end she kept me sane by making sure the wedding of 210 was running on time and smoothly and kept on track where i needed to be. I would have never been on track with anything without her that is for certain haha. On your day (especially if your day is big) it is so overwhelming and you can’t really think straight about anything. YOU NEED a coordinator. It is very scheduled and goes so fast. My wedding looked exactly how I have pictured in my head and I know I have Carolyn to blame! I couldn’t have done this year or this day without her at all - it would have been a mess haha. I actually reallllly miss her and so does my husband haha. If you work a full time job and are having a large wedding it would be a great idea to hire Carolyn as the full on wedding coordinator instead of only a day of coordinator because even though I had her assistance through it all, I really needed more help and she would have been what I was needing! But if you can’t afford that then the day of is still 100% worth every SINGLE penny!! Thank you Carolyn for everything we love you! We know your business will be very successful because you are so passionate, talented, and such a beautiful person in general. She also gave us such a lovely gift which was so thoughtful!!! Carolyn and Nickie were absolutely amazing for the day of my wedding, ensuring everything was in place and everyone was ready to go! I definitely recommend getting them for day of planning to make everything go smoothly. They also helped us find vendors beforehand!
Carolyn is the most organized wedding planner. She dots every i and crosses every t. I couldn't have made it through my big day without her. She is extremely passionate about the entire wedding process, which allows for the bride and groom to have the best experience. I would recommend Carolyn to anyone!
Carolyn and her team were so incredible on our big day and in the months leading up to it. We had a destination wedding and Carolyn made sure everything was running smoothly and being taken care of while being physically away from the area we we’re getting married in. All of our other vendors were praising her attention to detail and how easy it was to work with her.
As a nervous bride Carolyn helped me maintain perspective. On the day of the wedding when things went off plan with another vendor she stepped up and took care of the problem without me even knowing there was an issue. She made everyone in our wedding comfortable and kept our day running smoothly.
I really can’t say enough good things about Happily Ever After. If you’re having a destination wedding or a hometown wedding you want her to be on your team.
We were married in Mackinac Island this past July and Carolyn was our wedding planner. We could not have chosen a better person to help us. She was professional, kind, thoughtful, consistent, and always on top of everything! She met with us regularly leading up to the event to keep us on track to ensure nothing was missed. We would meet even more frequently as the wedding date came closer. She had excellent communication methods. I live in Florida and this was a destination wedding for us but Carolyn made our meetings so seamless. We would talk via google meet, email, or over the phone! She was very flexible and willing to help in any way she could. She even allowed us to ship small, last minute items to her home and she brought them to our wedding for us. She went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process and on the day of. By the time we actually met in person, I felt like I already knew her and she was a longtime friend! She was very well-equipt and had assistants that came to help during the wedding and throughout the planning process. I walked down the isle alone and she stayed with me and helped with my vail right up until it was time. Hiring Carolyn was the best decision we made for our wedding. She made everything beautiful and perfect and we had the best day with no stress because of her! Thank you (:
Carolyn and her team at Happily Ever After were simply incredible. They planned our wedding in Michigan under the stress of COVID complications. Then, we had to cancel our Michigan event because of a new lockdown. They immediately shifted and moved our wedding planning to our honeymoon location in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. I can't imagine it being better. As the groom, I can tell you that I was impressed by their organization, persistence, and flexibility. It felt like we had a true partner to help us and a team that took the stress and difficulties down a notch so that we could enjoy getting married even during a pandemic. We said we were getting married no matter what, even if we zoomed into a justice of the peace! But instead, Carolyn and her team made possible a beautiful wedding on a tropical island that we will never forget! I recommend them in the highest terms for your next wedding or other event.
I recommend Carolyn to everyone! After covid became clear it was sticking around I knew I needed some help (especially living in Indiana and planning a wedding in Michigan). From my first phone call with Carolyn, I was at ease trusting my wedding vision with her. Our zoom meetings were on point and extremely helpful. Planning a wedding during a pandemic comes with quick changes, and Carolyn provided useful advice and solutions. She helped us adapt to the changes as if the original plan had intended to be that way. She walked our large bridal party (18) throughout every step from the rehearsal right up to the end of the evening. Everything was on time, and Carolyn made sure every detail was executed. Even though we had never met before hiring Happily Ever afTer, Carolyn and her assistant Nickie fit in with our big family and brought us together. I am forever grateful I said, "YES" to Happily Ever afTer.
My mom was also very happy I decided to hire Carolyn because it significantly cut down on the panicked planning phone calls. 😂
Carolyn is the kindest! Our wedding changed to an elopement due to Covid-19, so we were unable to use her for the entire planning process. However, she helped us think of things that I never would have thought of on my own! She is very thoughtful and wants you to feel so special on your day. Highly recommend!
I met Carolyn at a Bridal Expo and from the moment we met, I knew I was going to be in great hands! Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is no easy task, but Carolyn set off right away to help me secure vendors (even through quarantine while I was out of state), put schedules together, help taste test, and was always available any day of the week for silly questions like 'what's the traditional order of a processional?' Carolyn knew exactly when to pop into my texts to offer my husband and I encouraging words and reminders when things looked bleak, which meant the world to us. Despite the pandemic, our wedding day (and rehearsal) went incredibly well and it was all thanks to Carolyn's excellent organizational skills. She is a steadfast leader and exuded calmness and grace as she seemingly effortlessly guided my wedding from start to finish. I say seemingly because I know that she put in hours upon hours of effort to make sure that my wedding was exactly the wedding I dreamed it to be. She was always the first one there, the last to leave, and was never out of reach in the moments I needed her the most. The only thing I regret is not having more time to spend with her! Carolyn is a joy to work with. She has an attention to detail that I was looking for. She helped plan my bridal shower and she thought of everything! From the cupcake cake to the adorable center pieces displaying my love of travel. Everything fit within the theme. It was so nice to not have to stress about this and I knew she would handle everything as though I would. Very organized planner with an attention to detail.
