This venue was absolutely SPECTACULAR for our wedding! Carey was incredible to work with—so organized, responsive, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. Planning felt easy knowing she was on top of everything and quick to answer all my questions.
Having both a bridal suite and groomsmen suite on site was such a big plus for us as well. The guys got to relax and watch football before the ceremony, and our bridal suite had plenty of room for all 11 of us—bridesmaids, moms, and myself included—to get hair and make up done and get dressed comfortably.
Even though we hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the venue, it never once felt repetitive. Each space had its own unique look and atmosphere, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful it all was—from the greenery and gardens to the stunning balcony views overlooking the river and boats.
Carey also made sure my husband and I actually got to eat at our own wedding, which every couple knows is a rare and wonderful thing!
If you’re looking for a venue that feels private and scenic yet still super convenient to DC, this is the perfect spot. I can’t recommend it enough!

the pandemic. The team was very responsive to emails and are wonderful at event planning. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day and was really able to enjoy it because I knew we were in good hands. On top of that, the venue is gorgeous. The open air veranda overlooking the marina is gorgeous and perfect for a ceremony or cocktail hour, and the ballroom and wraparound balcony provided nice outside space to take advantage of the view. Would highly recommend!

We had our ceremony on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, and could not have asked for a more picturesque location. Emily and Lisa made sure that every part of the event went off without a hitch, and we had a great time. All of the challenges COVID presented were worth it when we found Harbour View, and I highly recommend the venue.

to say our vows at Harbour View. While we didn't have a nautical theme, the view of the boats and the water was something we couldn't pass up. The ceremony area was gorgeous, with a water view, and there was enough room for all our guests to spread out (COVID-19 regulations). The reception area was equally, if not more, breathtaking.
The staff are super friendly and honestly want your wedding to go by without a hitch and will do anything possible to relieve a bride's stress.
Some of the venue's rules, while understandable, may cause some inconvenience to the bridal party such as gathering all items, including centerpieces, out the night of. After a wedding, a lot of individuals are tired and maybe a bit tipsy and would like a chance to relax, not gather all the alcohol and decor. We understood as Harbour View hosts numerous events and needs the place clear for others. But I needed to mention this as no other reviews mentioned it to me in the beginning. I recommend finding friends or family that are extremely reliable and will help gather items as you and your partner say goodbye!

While we do pack everything back up for our couples, it's true that we need an empty vehicle and willing participant! :) We will make sure that in the future we double check with the person(s) that our couple has designated to take their items at the end of the night. got there. The staff is super friendly and amazing, they will help with ANYTHING. Amanda was an amazing and fun coordinator and everyone loved working with her. The venue also easily connected to all of our other venues like the DJ, catering, desserts... The location is amazing for pictures and the wedding ceremony and reception ran smoothly together, no issues at all. Amazing bridal suite as well and a huge dance floor to party all night. All of our guests loved the site and had an amazing time. The service was amazing and it is really clean, organized, and decorated beautifully. Not a single complaint from anyone. Would recommend this venue to anyone, it is perfect to fit anyone’s wedding dream. 11/10

ons we dropped off, packed our catering leftovers and gifts into our cars before the end of the reception, and even gave us a beautiful personalized gift themselves. The staff works very hard to ensure that bride and groom are not stressed with logistics and timekeeping on the day of the event. Any time that I did ask whether I was behind schedule (e.g. when I was getting dressed before the ceremony), my day-of coordinator, Amanda, reassured me and let me know that regardless of timing, the staff would make sure that my day went the way I wanted it to - which it definitely did. Very professional/organized team, but more importantly: they really give each client their full attention, even though they have lots of other events to plan. They're truly amazing people and the venue is gorgeous. I'd recommend them to anyone.

ther ladies are a life saver from random questions to ideas they provided.
One thing I loved about this venue is that it comes with sooo much including decor and people to set up some decor. I loved that they were meticulous like I am and combed over all details at my final meeting. I also loved that they worked well with my wedding planner. It was like my planner had an extended team. This venue is sooo open and allows you to bring in your own liquor which saved me thousands of dollars.
The venue is beautiful and close to the water so that goes without saying. The only downside is when its hot in the warmer months, the Veranda get pretty hot and I got married 9/28/19. But they had the air pumping in the ballroom upstairs. Also, the bride and groom rooms to get ready are pretty warm even though they have fans so we brought our own.
My favorite memory is my now husband and I receiving stiff drinks to help us calm down from all the craziness of just getting married and getting ready for the turn up at the reception.
Harbour View took good care of me and I have so many great memories there. Thank you!

They really went above and beyond - our HV coordinator ran our rehearsal, did 99% of the work of bustling my dress, and independently found ways to use our ceremony flowers to bump up the decor in the reception area. signed our contract until we got in our car and left the night of the wedding! Katelyn was always keeping in touch with us via email to keep on schedule and to offer any assistance. The day of our wedding we expected Katelyn there, but we were shocked of the amount of additional staff and help that Harbour View provided (setting up, coordinating the reception space, bringing us drinks, helping guests, etc.). Everything went so smoothly thanks to Katelyn and the Harbour View team!

The ladies of Harbour View, including the owner, were amazing from the first time I walked in the door to follow up after my event. They handled the smallest of details and addressed any guest need flawlessly. I only found out later just how much they did behind the scenes.

sm, and really everything was done as though we were family. As a matter of fact, our families did nothing but the compliment us on the venue and the staff.
With every wedding there is a degree of stress, but everything regarding this venue was stress free. We reserved the entire venue for our large wedding, and it is our opinion that we got more than what we paid for. You aren't getting ripped off when working with the Harbour View team. They actually have a approved list of vendors, some of which we hired, that integrate with the venue team seamlessly.
One last note....Book them early. We actually reserved our date over a year in advance.

My friends and family told me after the wedding that they were extremely accommodating to kids and moms and I'm so grateful for that! Rachael and the Harbour View were very responsive, and were always extremely pleasant when I reached out to them. Our pictures are beautiful because of the venue, and the beautiful dock backdrop. The reception space was also gorgeous! I really liked that the Harbour view team offers day-of- coordination so that you do not have to worry about the small details on your big day. I will always recommend this venue to anyone who is getting married. The team truly made my day special.

wanted our wedding reception. The venue is beautiful inside and out with amazing views of the Occoquan River. The price is much better than many other comparable venues in Prince William County.
Rachael and the rest of the staff were phenomenal. I can't think of anybody else who is as passionate about her job as Rachael. She truly cares about her clients and made my wife and I feel like family. They were accommodating as we often brought family in during off hours to see the venue and get ideas for the reception.
As wedding day drew closer Rachel did an excellent job coordinating with all of the vendors so that the day of, we had nothing to stress about. Rachel and the team at Harbour View went above and beyond to make any requests we had a reality which included having a cookie table at the reception that our family still raves about.
If you're looking for a wedding reception venue I would absolutely give Harbour View the highest recommendation. Give them a call and make an appointment to visit. I promise you will not be disappointed!

pricing with us in a nice, comfortable setting. She put us at ease with her friendly personality and her confidence in their product. We loved that we had access to the whole building - it felt more personal that way. The venue itself is well-kept and naturally beautiful (plus they have a few standing decor pieces and lighting that really added to the ambiance).
Katelyn answered at least 40 emails from me with random questions ranging from nanny options to vendor recommendations (all turned out amazing). In addition, she was super patient when we had a few last-minute changes.
They have many Caterers to choose from and you can bring your own alcohol, which is a huge cost-saver! In addition, they provide day-of coordinators, which is so helpful. I didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to set-up and they made sure to check in with me several times during the wedding to make sure I had all the support I needed.
Katelyn promised me an amazing wedding, and they definitely delivered on that promise. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Harbour View.
I highly recommend this venue!!!

eally was no other competition, as they were the perfect fit for us :-) Throughout planning, they would constantly send check in emails to see if we needed any help with anything at all which was so sweet of them to do! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we were so impressed at how organized Harbour View was and how well they listened to exactly how we wanted things to look when we dropped all of our wedding decorations off. I have to give a huge shout out to the staff for the day of our wedding but most importantly I have to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to Katelyn. She was so organized and made sure that our day ran so smoothly with no issues and she helped us all stay on schedule. She is truly a gem and she is the absolute sweetest! wever everyone we met at the venue was so friendly and accommodating. Whenever we were visiting, everyone we saw asked us how we were doing, asked about the planning, and helped to give ideas if we wanted them. Katelyn was really responsive and supportive by email, she would offer new ideas, talk about logistics, and comment on our ideas. They help do a ton of coordination so you do not have to and I cannot say how valuable that was. There were two coordinators from HV on site the day of the wedding, they confirmed and coordinated with all our vendors, they offered advice based on experience, invited us in for free meetings, had a 30 day coordination meeting, and were fine with working with both me and my mom. The venue is beautiful and so many guests commented on how it was perfect. The set up is fantastic and classy, they have out door and indoor areas during cocktail hour, the ballroom is huge, it overlooks a beautiful harbor. They think of everything you need on your wedding day, they are on top of things but not intrusive when they need something, Katelyn even tried to make sure we had a few minutes to relax and eat during dinner when everyone wanted to stop and talk. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the people there, do not hesitate to book them now!!!!

The first wedding of this spring for RIMAS FILMS, took place in the beautiful Virginia and its outstanding wedding venue and events planners – Harbour View. Although the ceremony took place in the church, Harbour View and its team did an amazing job keeping the guests entertained and happy. And the wedding reception was a true success with everything planned perfectly to a tiniest detail! The bride and groom relaxed and enjoyed their day, while everything was looked after by hardworking Harbour View staff. And the views of the venue offered the perfect background for a gorgeous wedding music video. Harbour View is the perfect choice and RIMAS FILMS cannot recommend it highly enough.

I was a little disappointed that the wedding coordinator that I had when I started planning was switched to someone else about 6 weeks before the wedding. I am not a very romantic, "cute-sy" type bride. The first coordinator I had was very chill, like I am, the second one was a little too "excited" about everything for me. Every email had exclamation points all over it and I felt like it was a bit of a battle to keep things the way I wanted which wasn't the "traditional" way of having things.
The day of the wedding went very smoothly, everything was set up beautifully and I was very happy with how the room looked. They were great about setting up all the things I had personally made for my wedding including centerpieces, favors, and placecards.
All in all, it was a good experience and I am ultimately glad I picked them.

If you got the impression that Lisa was going to be your coordinator that is absolutely our fault for not doing a better job of explaining our process for assignment of coordinators.
Our philosophy hinges on providing excellent customer service, and as such we have formed our business so that you have an entire team of coordinators. We never want our couples to feel that they have to wait for "their" person to get an answer — we are all here to help. That said, it is important once everything has been planned and decided on to have a main point of contact who can communicate the intricate details of your wedding to the entire team, so we assign a lead coordinator 6 weeks before the wedding. That person then conducts your coordination meeting and rehearsal, but even on the wedding day we have a whole team of coordinators here making sure everything is exactly as you want it.
In that vein, I wish you'd seen your lead coordinator Holly on the day of the wedding going to battle for your vision of simplicity and elegance when one of your vendors tried to heavily embellish all of your tables with mounds of purple silk flowers. It is this kind of intimate understanding of your vision that having a lead coordinator promotes.
If you felt that Holly was a little over-excited about your wedding, we do apologize. We LOVE weddings, and we genuinely care about our couples. We always hope that shows through in our communications, but we are sorry if you found it off-putting. We are wishing you and David all the best in your life together!

We gave her a vision for what we were look for in our reception and when we walked in on the day of our wedding I was speechless, it was just as I always pictured. She was always very responsive to emails. I was never stressed one bit about our reception because I knew they had everything under control. As me and my husband were taking pictures on their beautiful property Katelyn even brought us out some apps from cocktail hour and our specialty drinks to enjoy while taking photos. They completely blew us away with their hospitality and always went above and beyond. We are so thankful we came across this venue because our receptions couldn't' have gone better. If you are looking for your wedding venue stop searching and go tour Harbour View, you will not regret it. Thank you Harbour View for everything!

thing that they did for us. When we booked about 14 months before we knew we made the write decision. Our coordinator was Katelyn and she was AMAZING! (we really love her! haha) She always checked up on to see how we were doing and was always in constant contact! We ran into a few problems with our caterers and Harbour View was there to save the day. Lisa, the owner, and Katelyn went above and beyond to make sure the problem was fixed (even though they didn't have to!) to make sure we were stress free- it meant the world to us. Day of, everything went smoothly, the ladies were so professional and we had an amazing time. Our guests were so blown away by the venue as well as how beautiful it looked! Another bonus is that they provide the tables and chairs- AND you’re able to rent other great things from them for your wedding! They recently got the beautiful chiavari chairs as well and I was able to use the darker brown ones for the first time at my wedding- it was such a plus!! I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at Harbour View- you really won't be let down!

Harbour View were SOOO accommodating. I forgot to purchase our sparklers for the send off but Holly made sure we had the sparklers so that we could have our picture perfect moment. She was always available and would give me vendor suggestions if I needed help finding one.
The venue itself is gorgeous. It can accommodate weddings that are small to large (320 I believe) The location of it being on the water makes for a great background. The cocktail hour hour upstairs had such an elegant feel with rich wood floors. If you are considering this place look no further, stop contemplating and BOOK IT!
