Booking our wedding with Harvest Moon Pond was the best decision we made. I fell in love with the venue and the team from the moment I toured. Our day was absolutely perfect and there were so many guests that have told us it was the BEST wedding experience they have ever been to. The Harvest Moon Pond staff treated us like family every step of the way through 18 months of planning and helped make our day so perfect. We are beyond grateful Harvest Moon Pond will forever be a part of our love story. Upon booking with Harvest Moon Pond, we knew we were going to be working with some very special people, but we didn't realize how much the Harvest Moon team stand out as wedding venue owners, going above and beyond to ensure their clients' happiness. We booked our wedding with them in July 2023, and the night prior a severe storm ripped through the area, causing the venue to lose power the day of our wedding. The entire Harvest Moon Pond team were in direct contact with us about possible next steps, and not only did they help us with our planning -- they took it upon themselves to secure us another venue, contact our other vendors about set-up, and also helped with decorating our venue...all hours before our guests were set to arrive! We are honored to have worked with such a wonderful, caring team. You are in good hands if you book with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Harvest Moon Pond is a beautiful setting for a wedding. The owners and staff are very attentive and organized, handling the many details nicely. Due to the size of the wedding, they made suggestions to help with the flow of guests. My husband and I were the parents of the groom.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful and fun day! 5+ stars for the best all-around experience; from the moment we started planning we felt supported, with all the helpful resources/tools and communication from Stephanie and Brian it really kept us on track. The day of our wedding came together perfectly and largely in part because of Stephanie and Brian, as well as the friendly staff and the wonderful vendors we worked with (many of which were on the preferred vendor list). We got married by the pond, and it was the most beautiful, serene and elegant setting for our ceremony. We enjoyed a walk on the nearby trails, and got some quick photos in before the reception. The barn is amazing and is being continuously updated- the new bar is so cool! Guests love the outside patio and yard games. It was so much fun dancing the night away with all our friends and family. We are so, so happy we chose Harvest Moon Pond; thank you Stephanie and Brian for making us feel so special on our day and for creating an unforgettable experience for all of us. I cannot rave enough about how amazing our day was at Harvest Moon Pond. That grounds alone are breathtaking. The staff helped us with every question and issue that we ran into. They truly made the planning process so easy with every tool and resource guide they have made. 10/10 recommend! You will not be disappointed!

We were married at Harvest Moon in April of 2023 and it's hard to put into words just how amazing our experience was. We looked at quite a few venues in the Madison area, and after touring Harvest Moon Pond it was an instant YES for both us and my parents. Not only is the venue itself breathtaking, but the owners and staff truly go above and beyond and genuinely care about you as a couple and making sure your day is everything you hoped for. I don't think you can find the level of service that HMP provides anywhere else. Stephanie and Brian have put some much thought into everything that they provide for their couples, not just for the day of, but throughout the entire planning process from local vendor recommendations, timelines and checklists, resource guides, and even a private group to connect with other HMP couples. We were able to plan our wedding in about six months, and I don't think we would have been able to do that without all of the resources and support that Stephanie and Brian provided. HMP also offers a décor rental package which we were able to use for our wedding day which made things so much more convenient and affordable. The items that they offer are so beautiful and are things I would have picked out myself! The wedding day was truly magical and our guests were so impressed by the venue and staff. We received so many compliments from our guests throughout the day and afterwards. Multiple guests told us that it was the favorite venue they had ever been to! The entire staff was SO kind and attentive from the very start to the end of the night. We are both so grateful that we were able to have our wedding day at Harvest Moon Pond. It is such an honor to forever be a part of their beautiful history.

It is so hard for me to put into words how special Harvest Moon Pond is to me and my husband. We got married there in late September 2022 and had the most amazing experience. Ive been asked a lot “if you could change anything about your wedding day what would it be?”, and every time my answer is “I honestly can’t think of anything.” The owners, Stephanie and Brian, are so helpful both during the planning process and on the day itself. It is obvious how much they care about making sure your wedding is everything you want it to be. They take such great care of the property and make so many helpful recommendations when you need them. I had so many family members and guests tell me how great the staff was and how much they helped the day run smoothly. Stephanie even graciously provided some sneak peak photos from the day while we were waiting for our professional photos to come back, and she captured a moment that is my mom’s favorite ❤️ As someone who likes to plan but also had no idea where to start, the online planning tools that HMP provides were an absolute lifesaver and saved me from so much stress! My husband and I also love attending their live music nights with friends and can’t wait to come back to see our HMP family in 2023!

We can't say enough good things about Harvest Moon Pond. Due to my husband's line of work we wanted to have a Winter wedding, yet we wanted the barn wedding which was hard to find for a February wedding. Staphanie and Brian are fantastic to work with. They have a portal for customers that houses all contracts, documents and helpful resources. I found the vendor list helpful as they only recommend vendors whom they have had a great experience with. The bridal suites are awesome. We were able to get ready right on sight with our ceremony and reception in one location making the day seamless. My husband and I fell in love with Harvest Moon Pond the moment we walked through the barn doors! It is the perfect amount of rustic and modern. Brian and Stephanie (as well as other HMP staff) were absolutely incredible to work with! They truly care about each and every couple that gets married at HMP. The whole venue is truly a dreamy place to have a wedding. I cannot wait to go back for their music nights to relive our wedding day!

We had the most perfect day thanks to this beautiful venue. Stephanie and the team are so great with quick responses, and have wonderful suggestions for vendors, decorations, and all other wedding details. We recently had our wedding at Harvest Moon Pond changing over from a destination wedding because of Covid 19. We could not be more impressed and happy with the way everything went. We just had our daughters wedding here and we have heard from many of our guests that this was one of their most favorite weddings they attended. It makes us so happy to hear this but more so that our daughter and son in law expressed their complete satisfaction with the entire day and are so happy they choose this venue. Stephanie, Brian and their entire staff are over the top incredible. Every fine detail attended to. While maintaining exceptional professionalism they also felt like family to us the entire time. This was the perfect venue for our wedding. All of our guests raved about how beautiful it was. The various outdoor/indoor spots for the ceremony are all nice options. The outdoor and indoor bars were awesome. The outdoor patio with fireplace and pizza oven is gorgeous as is the renovated barn. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations for a wedding venue. The owners are amazing as well and ensured everything ran smoothly. I would definitely recommend this venue.

The barn itself and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. We got so many compliments from our guests and even some vendors that had never been there before. The barn has everything (bathrooms, AC, heat, getting ready space etc.) and gave us the flexibility to work with our choice of vendors.

Barn at Harvest Moon Pond is the most beautiful barn in the area. We were looking for a venue that didn't require a lot from us. Everything is included in their price (chairs, tables and help with set-up and take-down) and the barn and grounds are so beautiful that they needs minimal additional decorations. That is pretty different than some of the other barn venues we looked at, which add costs for nice bathrooms, tables, chairs and other rentals. Renee, Gary and Martha are all very helpful and quick to respond to emails. They have a ton of great advice about the event as well. They are committed to keeping the grounds beautiful, they even pulled out some flowers that had frosted the night before our wedding because they didn't look perfect. All of our guests were blown away at how beautiful the barn is. Couldn't have been happier that we picked them!

Beautiful venue, staff was friendly and very helpful. Our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. Hands down the best venue! We live two hours from the venue and that didn’t matter, we knew this was the place we had to get married at we don’t regret it one bit!

We had the BEST experience working with Renee and the rest of the staff at the Barn at Harvest Moon Pond! Renee was extremely responsive and knowledgeable with any questions I had, was very flexible with visits to the barn and made the whole experience a breeze. She really knows what she’s doing, and her team was well organized and made sure our wedding was amazing all the way from the early planning stages through the end of the night. And now the barn itself... BEAUTIFUL! It seats up to 250 for dinner which was a must for us, and it’s completely climate controlled with heat and AC, because you never know what you’ll get in Wisconsin. There are great indoor restrooms on both the main floor and basement. There is also a large bar on the main floor and right off the dance floor is a beautiful large deck overlooking the property and patio with fireplace below. The yard was perfect for our pictures with old barns, willow trees and a little rose garden. It really was a picture perfect venue. We received comments all night long that it was the most beautiful venue our guests had been to! As an added bonus, the Barn has an open vendor policy so we were able to bring in our own caterer and alcohol, great for any budget! The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond was the best decision we could have made for our wedding day and I wish I could do it all over again!

The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond was the most perfect venue for our wedding day! There is not a more gorgeous venue in the Madison area for a barn wedding and we loved everything about it. We chose to get married under the willow trees, took tons of pictures by the chipped paint white barn, and had a gorgeous reception inside the barn (with air conditioning too!) Renee and Gary are phenomenal to work with and we can't thank them enough for sharing their family's beautiful land and barn for our wedding day. We 100% recommend having a wedding here and couldn't be happier!

We loved this venue! It was so beautiful, and we liked that we could serve homebrew at our reception :). We got so many compliments on how beautiful the barn was, and how well it worked for a reception.

We had our wedding reception at The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond last weekend, and it was truly amazing. Our guests were amazed at the beauty of the barn and surrounding area, and we were thrilled with how smoothly the day went. This is why you should book your wedding and/or reception here: - Renee, the owner, is incredibly responsive to emails. She was always willing to answer my questions. - This venue is incredibly well maintained yet still looks like the beautiful, old barn that it is. - Air conditioning. Need I say more? - There are LOTS of bathrooms. We toured other local barn venues that have NO bathroom...just portapotties. This was the obvious choice. - There are multiple spaces for guests to hang out throughout the night. Guests who didn't want to dance ended up hanging out on the deck. Some guests sat on the patio. - There is an incredible pizza oven on the patio. We brought pizzas in from Papa Murphy's, and the staff at Harvest Moon Pond baked them for us for a late night snack. - There are so many beautiful places to take photos! I could go on forever. We are so happy we chose this venue.

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this venue is! The owner, her family, everyone who was there that day made my wedding flawless. The place is beautiful, the landscape is like something out of a movie, and it really is spotless. My wedding anxiety drifted away when I walked in the doors.

Amazing venue with spectacular outdoor photo locations. The family was very flexible and accommodating with seating and setup. Guests loved the venue and we had a blast!

First of all, Renee and Gary are the nicest people in the world. Look no further for the best barn to get married in. From the beginning to end, the communication with Renee was excellent so that everything went over smoothly on your day. My wife and I went into this barn for the first time and knew it was the one from the first step. The amenities on site are perfect for a wedding day, including: 4 rustic bathrooms, a mens lounge down stairs, a bridal room with mirrors for the lady’s, a hayloft for dinner seating that also works excellent as a “rain out” ceremony, a full length bar with tappers, a basic kitchen for holding cakes or pies, a fridge for all the wine. Outside: the backdrop can’t be beat, with a stone fireplace, willow trees, and the choice of either a staged wedding or between the willows. I wouldn’t have wanted my wedding any other way than at the Barn at Harvest Moon Pond. Thank you Renee and Gary! Luke and Samantha

This is the most GORGEOUS wedding venue! Everyone absolutely loved our wedding and many said that it was the most beautiful wedding that they had ever been to. Renee and Gary are seriously the best! They answered every single question that I had and they were so unbelievably helpful during the planning process. They gave recommendations for vendors and they guided me through the entire process. And they were so prompt on getting back to me when I had questions. On the day of the wedding, the entire staff was so incredibly helpful and they took care of all of the small details that were stressing me out. I barely had to worry about a thing on my day! I honestly could not have asked for more from them. If you are looking for a barn wedding, THIS IS YOUR SPOT! It is the most beautiful venue that you could ask for and the staff is excellent - you will not be disappointed! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! :)

Wow. Renee, Gary, and Marsha went above and beyond to help me create a wonderful wedding/reception. She was quick to respond with emails, allowed numerous visits to the barn so that we could plan out every detail, and understood my vision and did all she could to protect it. They made the day of extremely easy and the ceremony site was set up before I arrived at 9:00 that morning. The site was clean even though they had a wedding there the night before. You can tell that the family takes great pride in the business and my guests were in awe of the location and beauty. I recommend this location to anyone that is looking for a great venue near Madison. Don't worry if you don't know who to use as any other vendors because Renee will give you great advice on any additional vendors you may need.

This barn is well worth the almost two year wait! This was one of only two venues that we looked at when searching for wedding venues. We didn't look at anything else because it totally over exceeded anything else in the barn category. Even though it is in a very rural area and somewhat off the beaten path it was well worth every drive out to visit and plan. Renee and Gary Whirry, the owners of the barn, are some of the nicest people I have met. Renee pretty much handles all things wedding when it come to planning at the barn. She was so helpful and informative with planning our big day. Any question we had she answered in a very timely fashion. We are not from the area so she was also able to help us with reputable vendors in the area. They have put a lot of time and effort into making this barn everything it should be for a wedding venue. It is well worth every cent we paid!

This venue is amazing. It is so beautiful with the pond, barn, and the flowers. The barn itself is gorgeous. Plus it has wifi, air conditioning, a great back up for rain, great bar, and tables with chairs. It was great that we got to bring in our own bartenders, food, alcohol, etc. Renee was easy to work with via email- she was pretty responsive and good at explaining the logistics of the venue. We live out of town so I had quite a few questions. The wedding was spectacular! The grounds and the setup were gorgeous; they definitely work hard. I am so happy with how it turned out. The only things we had a few issues with was trying to get the ipad to work with their system to show the slideshow. I am happy that we were able to try it out at the rehearsal, but they weren't much help in trying to figure it out. We ended up using a laptop for the slideshow. Also, the bartenders told our guests that they had been told by the venue owners to pour the alcohol we brought in "lightly," which I thought was over-stepping the contract, but it didn't cause an issue. They also cleaned up a bit early, but it didn't interfere with anything. Overall, we are so happy with the wedding and the venue. I would 100% do it at Harvest Moon again! We had the best wedding!

I cannot stress enough how fantastic this venue was for our early September DIY wedding. Not only is the place beautiful and really fitting with the aesthetic that we wanted to go for, but the people who own it are really great to work with. Renee and Gary were so helpful and friendly every step of the way. For example one of the only things we wanted to do in our very short ceremony was to have a wooden box with love letters and wine in it. Of course I ordered it a month before the wedding, but then come the day it still wasn't there. (we ended up getting it the day after the wedding of course) Without us even asking, Renee and Gary MADE us our own box out of lovely smelling cedar and fixed the problem just like that. They did it in like ten minutes too, I'd barely begun to get upset and BOOM fixed. Now that is freakin' awesome. I should also mention this place is great because of the air conditioning, the bathrooms, the fire pit out back, the balcony, the willow trees by the pond. I mean I could just go on and on, but seriously if you are thinking about it. Just go check it out. I can guaranty you won't regret it. Also for the shoestring budget, they do offer cheaper prices for Friday and Sunday weddings, and a discount if you pay up front, which I thought was a nice way to save a bit. They also let you bring in your own caterers and alcohol and everything, so not only is it completely tailored to you, but can be quite a bit cheaper. OH and you don't need to hire a DJ if you don't want to, because their speaker is already completely set up, you just need to plug a laptop or ipod in. Seriously this venue was the best. I can't recommend it more highly.

The Barn is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue. We lucked out with our mid October wedding that we were able to have our ceremony outside on the cemented area with the pond and colorful trees in the background. But, of course, we would have been just as happy using the upstairs loft if we needed to move the ceremony inside due to weather- the stained glass window also makes a perfect backdrop! The reception inside also turned out wonderfully. The bar area is a very nice set up, as is their area for catering display, especially for a buffet dinner. We got rave reviews on how lovely the venue was and how absolutely gorgeous it was inside. Another plus- the barn comes with some nice getting ready rooms in the basement. The brides room is HUGE, and gave us a lot of lighting and space to get ready and get some pictures taken before the ceremony. Renee and Gary were super helpful during the whole process, hiccups and all. We couldn't have been more please with our choice of venue!

Renee and Gary were great! They were very helpful in the setup and take down of our wedding! They responded in a timely manner to any questions that I had and their venue is BEAUTIFUL! I truly had an amazing night and would highly recommend the Barn at Harvest Moon Pond!

The barn is gorgeous and was absolutely what my husband and I were looking for and imagining. The renovated barn is vintage rustic with modern accents. There was everything you could need for your wedding and more! There was a main stage, DJ booth, bar, kitchen, dinner buffet tables, dessert back counter, handicapped accessible bathrooms plus other bathrooms downstairs, indoor and outdoor ceremony locations (the lofted chapel is absolutely perfect), women's and men's getting ready rooms, many gorgeous photo locations and doors in convenient locations to make sure the bride and groom didn't see each other or to make entrances or exits. There is a large back deck which was ideal to go talk and cool off during all of the dancing. Also just to look out onto all of the land! The owners are seriously the best and made the process so seamless! They were so helpful and gave input when asked or saw fit. They are very flexible and actually care that your wedding is perfect! If you are looking for one space for ceremony and reception i highly recommend this barn!

Amazing venue for a winter wedding! The place looked awesome after we added decorations and some up-lighting. We were so happy to find a place we could bring our own vendors as well. The owners were great to work with and made sure the day ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for anything more from them. We highly suggest you use the Barn for your next event!

Renee and Gary are amazing to work with! We began planning our wedding in early 2012 and originally booked their other venue in Markesan, WI. Due to unfortunate venue updating requirements by the state they decided to close that barn and we had to switch to the Barn at Harvest Moon. I'm SO happy we decided to make the change and carry our contract over instead of searching for a different venue altogether. I can say that the ease of working with Renee is the reason we stuck it out. They are incredibly accommodating and will do everything they can to make sure your day is perfect. Like the other reviews there was a family that was touring the facility while we were setting up the morning of our wedding and Renee was sincerely apologetic however I didn't mind and assured her it was ok. It really was. We all go through the planning process and I visited during another brides set-up time too (and she was super cool with it as well) so I didn't get upset. And I actually ended up speaking to the people who were booking and told them about my planning experience with Renee. The venue itself is amazing. Gorgeous photo opportunities are everywhere! I felt so at home being there and got a ton of compliments on choosing the venue. Overall, I would most definitely recommend this venue. Our experience was amazing and I'm kinda bummed that the wedding is over. I always looked forward to talking to Renee and Gary :)

We were absolutely amazed just how much we loved having our wedding here! Just a short drive north from Madison, the barn and grounds have a wonderful elegant simplicity that made our simple wedding that much better. We were able to bring in our food, decorations, and other supplies the night before, so we had plenty of time to relax and enjoy our wedding day with a few less things to worry about. The caterers' kitchen was large enough for us to move around in as we got things ready to set out, all while our good friend decorated and set up our cake. The barn has a great sound system that can play music inside and out, which we were able to plug an ipod into since we didn't have a dj or band. Renee and Gary, the owners, are just wonderful, too. They were incredibly helpful from day one, and were there to help us out on our big day. I couldn't imagine having my wedding at a better location!

Couldn't of asked for a more beautiful venue. All my guests still comment and say how amazing the barn truly was! Highly recommend it! Renee is amazing to work with, they are so willing to accommodate any request!

This is an absolutely amazing venue at which we had our ceremony, social hour and reception all at! It was more than perfect! The barn is gorgeous and there are so many different directoins you can go in for decorating it. We went with a 'pintrest,' DIY, vintage wedding and it was just perfect for it! We were going to have the ceremony and social hour outdoors but due to the weather we moved both inside but it still worked out wonderfully. We had the ceremony in the loft and it fit everyone and looked adorable. The barn includes chairs for the ceremony and reception and tables in with the rental price, which is great. The main level fits a number of people and has a stage where the head table can go, as well as the DJ. There is a bar area on the main floor as well where there is a fridge, wine cooler, and 2 keg coolers/taps. You are allowed to bring in all of your own beverages, including alcohol, which cuts down your costs big time compared to many other venues. You also bring in your own caterer, which gives you so many more options of who you want to use and what kind of food you desire. In the basement there are rooms for both the groom and his groomsen and the bride and her bridesmaids to use and get ready in. I had my hair and makeup stylist come and do everything there, which was very convenient. My bridesmaids and I completely got ready there and it was very nice and relaxing to not have to travel from one place to the next the day of the wedding. Gary and Renne Whirry are the owners and operators of this barn and were so wonderful to work with. They were extremely helpful throughout the entire process and made sure our wedding was everything we wanted and more. If you are looking to have any part or every part of your wedding at a barn this is definitely the place!
