I had the pleasure of hosting my late October wedding at Harvest on Hudson, and I can't begin to describe how truly magical the experience was. The scenic beauty surrounding the venue, both outside and the stunning interior, provided an enchanting backdrop for our special day.
Harvest on Hudson is not just a beautiful restaurant; it's a culinary gem. The food was so delicious and our guests raved over the flavors. The generous portions and impeccable service, even with our 54 guests, made the dining experience outstanding. The efficient and attentive staff ensured that all our meals were served promptly, leaving no room for hunger or impatience.
We are so grateful for Harvest and we’re looking forward to celebrating our future anniversaries here for the years to come. It's a place that offers not just a meal but an unforgettable experience, and we can't recommend it enough for special occasions like weddings.
DO NOT - I repeat do NOT book your event at this venue. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE
I’m not even sure where to begin with how horrific an experience I had from start to finish.
For starters- the “event coordinator” Danielle Marci was incompetent from the very start. I blame myself for ignoring the red flags and booking this venue.
My mother originally reached out to inquire about a small party for my wedding celebration. Danielle responded to my mothers email with information, soon after my mother cc’d me and let Danielle know that she would be coordinating with ME moving forward. Even though I was emailing Danielle directly with questions - she would continue to respond to my questions by sending the information to my mother, NOT to my email. I had to practically beg this women to please stop emailing my mother, and only email ME. Again, this coordinator is so incompetent that she responded to my questions via email and sent the responses to my mother MULTIPLE times, leaving me OFF the email chain.
Moving forward - Danielle sent me a “party package” with multiple options for food and open bar. My screenshot is attached of the beer and wine option that her and I agreed upon MULTIPLE times. She assured me it would be open bar beer and wine for my guests “upon consumption” which is what the contract said - matching what the document said.
Upon the day of the event I arrived at the restaurant - none of the management or front desk workers seem to know what was going on. I asked and Confirmed with multiple people including the blonde women at the front desk that I had “2 hour open bar beer and wine” the women at the front desk proceeded to tell me yes - so I let my guests know they could order beer and wine.
To my surprise when it cane time to pay, the restaurant charged me for every single beer and wine my guests drank. I was behind furious/disgusted/ fed up at this point - I argued for about 15 minutes with the management, the only thing they had to say for themselves was “that’s the contract you signed” repeating this statement multiple times even after I showed them what Danielle sent me - and what her and I agreed upon. A short white male who claimed to be a manager got into my husbands face and pushed him (beyond unprofessional). The blonde women at the front desk who told me “yes” it was open bar then claimed that she “didn’t actually know what my contract said”.
We paid and left - I sent a very long email to Danielle and guess what? No response - no apology - the incompetence of this “high end” restaurant is comical - an apple bees probably would’ve provided better service.
I wish I had listened to the other bad reviews but I thought the River view was nice and went ahead with one of the worst mistakes of my life.
I highly recommend looking into other riverfront restaurants such as 3 westerly in Ossining, factoria in Peekskill, or any of the riverfront restaurants in Tarrytown. Save yourself time/money/frustration .
Our actually wedding day ended up being beautiful. The ceremony was set up in the garden and was beautiful and the reception was wonderful as well. The service was great, they were very attentive. The food was decent (the fish and chicken were a bit dry) but the salad, antipasto, penne Vodka was perfect. Our main concern was speaking with the wedding coordinator. It was challenging to be “allowed” to have our wedding reception held out doors due to covid. Our guests did not feel save eating in doors in a small room with 45 people. We had to go through great lengths to get permission to have everyone seated outdoors safely. It also ended up costing us more money that we weren’t anticipating at the last minute to have our ceremony in the garden and to have the reception outside instead of inside. Overall, we really enjoyed our wedding day at the Harvest but the days leading up to it was stressful since we were worried we were going to have to find another venue to better accommodate our guests 2 weeks before our wedding date.
We used Harvest on the Hudson for our Rehearsal Dinner in October. The location is amazing as our party was wowed by the gorgeous sunset. The restaurant and dinner itself was outstanding, our friends are still raving about the Chiocciole! Aside from one minor issue the night was perfect, highly recommend!
We were married at Harvest on June 21st. The food was amazing, the surroundings just beautiful and the staff, for the most part, was wonderful. The one difficulty was the events coordinator, Regina. It was extremely difficult to get any responses, aside from a "yes" or "no", to any questions, which was very stressful. The result was my husband and I spent our wedding dinner with our backs to our guests due to table organization which was different from that requested. Not the end of the world, but it could have been avoided and the planning could have been easier.
Over all we were very happy at harvest. There was one small mistake and the manager more then made good o. It. The food there is always excellent and the service is fantastic!
I should've reviewed this place sooner.
This is where my sister hosted my bridal shower. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, the food couldn't get any better and the VIEW couldn't have been more gorgeous.
I am in love with this place.
Harvest on Hudson was a majestic setting for our wedding! The surroundings and interior are gorgeous and it was the perfect size for our party of just over 100 guests, accommodating both the ceremony and reception all in one place, just minutes from Manhattan by train, so it is super convenient too. We had a nearly-Winter wedding so the price was a bit lower to help with our budget and we lucked out with the weather as it was a beautiful bright day in November just two weeks after Hurricane Sandy hit. We didn't even know they had been flooded until they told us when we stopped in the day before the event and they were sanding the floors! Which brings me to service... The staff was very enthusiastic and happy to help with any thing we asked. The food was very very very good - sumptuous steaks, succulent shrimp, and tender chicken - which was a major factor in selecting our venue. It was nice to have everything taken care of in-house - space, food, drinks - although we were a bit restricted with time, since they open for dinner, but we had our fun and moved on our hotel after thoroughly enjoying the day at Harvest. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue and attentive service for our special day!
We had an amazing wedding because of Regina Michielli's and the restaurant staff. We are getting a ton of incredible feedback on the food, the service, and the venue. Regina Michielli's (event coordinator) staff was really attentive all day. They did not miss a step. The bartenders were courteous and really professional. The cocktail hour was great, and everyone was raving about the bacon wrapped short ribs and the shrimp cocktail. Yhe dinner's fist course was a delicious spring mix. The greens were fresh and crisp, and the toasted Marcona almonds were a perfect addition. The next course was a risotto that was rich and decedent (We could eat that risotto everyday). For our entree, I had the filet mignon and my wife had the halibut, and both were cooked to perfection. The potato that was served with the steak was to die for. We also heard from our guests that the duck was delicious as well. We just can’t say enough about our experience at Harvest on Hudson.
The best part of the whole experience was Regina. She really made us feel like we had nothing to stress about and that she was in complete control of the entire event. That was very comforting during what can potentially be a very stressful day. Thank you for making our wedding day stress-free and perfect!
We jut got married on 9/4/11 and we can't say thank you enough to Harvest for the amazing event they help us turn out.The food was delicious!! Everyone (all 110 ppl) is STILL talking about our wedding and how much they loved the place and the yummy food. It's Mediterranean food...and the drinks are top notch. The people that work there were so wonderful to work with. The executive Chef even came in on his day off to make sure we had an even better experience. Regina is the events coordinator and we love, love, love her!! She & her staff went above & beyond to make our special day even more special. Our DJ didn't show up and she performed magic and had another DJ for us for our reception! She saved our wedding!! The view is gorgeous..you can't go wrong with a view of the Hudon River and Palisades. They grow their own vegetables in their garden..where we had our beautiful ceremony in. Check out their website...make a reservation for dinner and I promise you that it will be worth the extra $$ you'll need to pay for it. We originally were looking to get married in May or June but pushed it to Sept so we could have it there. And think about this, also...how many people get to go to dinner to the place they were married at for as long as it remains open? And trust me..this place is not going anywhere any time soon. We will always have wonderful memories of our special day...way to go Harvest...thank you thank you thank you!!
We were absolutely delighted with our wedding reception at Harvest on Hudson. Their Events Coordinator is a consummate professional and made the plan process easy and enjoyable. She promptly answered my questions and stayed on top of everything.
Food: It was great! We were a little disappointed with the passed hors d'oeuvres because they didn't seem as good as what we had sampled. However, the meal itselfw as delicious. We didn't do a cake and served Harvest's pecan tart, which was a big hit.
Service: Amazing! The service was specatcular and my husband and I felt like a king and queen. The staff was there to pull out our chair whenever we got up (which happened a lot!); they covered our meals to keep them warm; and they constantly were refreshing our drinks. Our guests were very impressed with the service too. The wedding was several weeks ago and family members are still talking about the service at Harvest!
