The venue is beautiful. Perfect for what we were looking for, simple yet classy and a great view of the golf course. Shelby was easy to work with. She is well seasoned in the wedding industry and answered every crazy question we threw at her! The food was incredible and they took all of my allergies very seriously! All the the staff was friendly and welcoming! We had 130 guests and we all fit comfortably on the dance floor. We are so happy to have had such a lovely wedding day! We highly recommend Haverhill Country Club.
Kristine is very easy to work with, the venue is beautiful, and my guests absolutely loved the food! My wedding was on 10/01/16, and all throughout the planning process we had a strict timeline and plan of events to keep everything on track to optimize the day. I'm a very organized person, so I loved this! When it ultimately ended up raining, Kristine was quick to help me alter that timeline so I could take more photos at the church and arrive at the HCC at the end of my cocktail hour. She made sure to run through the order of events with my DJ, and kept on top of everything. To make sure my parents had the best view in the house she even put "reserved" cards on their place settings! My grandfather, seated at the same table, ended up stealing the spot. Not knowing who he was/that it was OK she even offered to speak with him to move him down a seat so we would have no stress.
My husband and I had our wedding at the Haverhill Country Club on April 23,2016. We considered having it at a place where we could bring all the stuff ourselves in an effort to save money but we are so glad we found the Haverhill Country Club. We got a great deal by choosing the buffet option instead of plated and the food was delicious. Our guests had a lot of fun hanging out on the deck (it turned out to be a gorgeous day!) and it was great having so many rooms at our disposal throughout the day. All we did for decorations were some mason jar centerpieces (made by Shaw's) since the banquet room was so pretty already. We are so grateful to Kristine for taking care of everything. We did not have to worry about anything at all and were guests at our own wedding! Nothing beats having peace of mind and being able to enjoy your special day.
Ideally I'd like to give Haverhill Country Club 3 1/2 stars, but apparently I have to choose 3 or 4. I really, sincerely wish I could give this place 5 stars. The food is absolutely incredible (we've gotten multiple compliments), the place is stunning, and up until the wedding day, the on-site coordinator, Kristine, is for the most part wonderful to work with. I do feel I have to warn that she can be a bit spacey and mix up your dates & details multiple times. This didn't do any real lasting damage, but when her catchphrase is "no stress" and she ends up being the source of your stress, it can be a bit frustrating. The lowering of my rating, however, truly comes from how she conducted herself on the wedding day. She gave my mom a hard time multiple times for multiple things (centerpieces, a tupperware for the cake), and at one point seized control of the order of events from our MC after we had gone over the order of events with her in advance multiple times. This was completely unprofessional and did put an (only slight but still present) damper on things and left a very bad taste in my mouth. Our wedding day was otherwise perfect and the place is absolutely phenomenal. I do wholeheartedly recommend it, but I feel like I have to mention these concerns, as they actually did affect my (and my new husband and mom's) day. If you do plan your wedding/reception here, please go into it knowing that Kristine can be difficult to work with. She is incredibly experienced and doesn't have any hidden fees, which was wonderful, but she likes to have control even when it means being at odds with the couple and their families, which is not the best quality in someone seeking to bring to life "your day" and "your vision" (as she will mention many times). Her intentions are great and we truly believe she wanted to make our day as special as possible, but the follow-through on the wedding day itself was disappointing at best, from a professionalism & behind-the-scenes standpoint. To our guests, for the most part this wasn't evident, and again, the venue itself is incredible. We would recommend it, with this caveat.
Haverhill Country Club was a beautiful location for a fall wedding. The ballroom overlooked the golf course, where the foliage was beginning to show color. We hae to give credit where credit is due to the wedding coordinator, Kristine Maria. She leaves no stone unturned and puts your mind at ease during a time which can be very stressful. The ceremony and reception were held there and the food was impeccable. HCC comes highly recommended and we would recommend it to all our friends for future functions! Thanks for making it the best day of our life.
The place is perfect. The staff was so helpful and helped us along the way to make our day super special!! Susan and Cindy are amazing coordinators. The food was fantastic.
HCC treated us very well! We had great food and service. The venue has many rooms to work with so you are able to pick one to fit your style. HCC also has a large (multi-purpose) deck. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful night for our wedding! Many guests have complimented our choice of venue, the food and service at our reception! The Function Manager did a terrific job!
I loved how we could take beautiful pictures inside on the staircase and up by the piano. The weather on my wedding day was nothing short of awful and our pictures were still beautiful and breathtaking. I also love the set up of the country club. We had our cocktail hour in the bar area with the door open to the deck and then when it was time to start the reception, we moved into the ballroom. I just loved how the place wasn't set up like 'any old wedding venue'.;Make sure you keep pricing quotes on hand. If we didn't we would probably be paying at least $10 extra per head.
The hall itself is lovely -- big dance floor (newly finished & enlarged) -- food was good (Prime Rib with baked potatoe) Big bar area adjoining hall; The site manager/ coordinator interrupted continuously throughout the event asking me for example where my DJ was because 'he's gone missing!'.. which he had not.. & also she freaked about when it should be time to cut the cake etc... brought me into things that she should have been handling while I was sitting at table for dinner & also her head waittress did also because she couldn't find the vegetarians or which children had children's meals -- wound up giving children's meals to 13+ yr olds when we had ordered them prime rib... she was NOT professional AT ALL.. my sister approached Cindy (coordinator) & asked her not to bother me anymore & ask my sister questions instead & so Cindy the coordinator -- said 'I have better things to do than stay until 11 -12 for every wedding!' & WENT HOME!!!
If the weather is nice there are fantastic places for photos. I'm not sure what we would have done however if it was raining. The area for the cocktail reception was recently renovated. It was wonderful. The reception room has a wall of windows overlooking the golf course. It was beautiful.;My fiance and several family members have serious food allergies. There was some attention paid to it but not as much as I would have liked. The service overall was average nothing to write home about.
everything was great
