CJ, Ish, and the rest of the team were extremely helpful with the planning process and wedding day festivities. They helped with getting answers to all of our questions and drilling down on everything we needed to do before the wedding. The whole team really made our wedding one of the best days of our lives. Choosing the Hawaii-Day Wedding Planning team was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. A big shoutout to CJ, Cindi, and the entire team for their professionalism, reliability, and genuine warmth. My wedding exceeded all expectations, and every guest felt the same way. From the charming linen on our sweetheart table to the whimsical cartoon ornaments and the perfectly arranged water and coffee station, every detail was flawless. Unfortunately we never received our edited photos. I reminded CJ multiple times and it’s such a bummer. The raw ones weren’t very good either. Wish we had gone with a professional photographer instead of someone trying to do every part of their business and not hiring professionals. n our end in efforts to resolve things with you amid reviews on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and now yelp. In this message we have to resort to publicly release a statement to protect our business and integrity. This is a long message for clarity for anyone that may read this so we can say our side of the story. We want to assure you that we have sent the edited photos to your email on May 15th, 2021. We haven't had any downloads on the link so I'm unsure if you hadn't seen the email, but we have sent it. We have seen your first review on Wedding Wire and our Operations Manager replied to your review with a mode of contact to resend you the link and verify your identity as your profile did not have a profile picture and the "Married on" date did not match what we had on file. For security reasons we wanted you to reach out to us to verify your wedding details and we'd happily send you the link once more. After about two weeks we haven't heard back so our Operations Manager (summer@hawaiidaywedding.com) reached out to your email that we have on file restating that we saw your review, we want to resend you the photos but need you to verify it was you, and waited for a reply. Amid no response, we requested to have a profile picture added to your account to help with identification but this was not fulfilled. We then decided as a small business to dispute the review since it contained false information that we did not fulfill our responsibilities which was untrue. We felt that this could damage our business here in Hawaii and decided we had no choice but to take action after several attempts of reaching out with no response. We then saw your review here on Yelp and wanted to try once more to open communication with you. CJ has called your phone number that we have on file several times and has left both a voicemail and text message in efforts to try to speak with you personally but have not heard a response. We are messaging here to once again assure you that we have sent the edited photos to your email on May 15th, 2021 and wanted to resend you the link after you can provide your Wedding date, name, and partner's name for identity verification. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a response in our DM's however you did not provide any verification of identity which leads us to believe that this was never about receiving the photos anymore. We tried to give you one last chance to verify your identity (Wedding date, Names, and an email we could send it to) but did not receive a response. As there is no response, we are here publicly stating this after a week as we have tried our best to help resolve the key issue and will need to defend our business. We truly want our couples to be happy and solve matters personally for better understanding. We are still willing to be open to have your identity verified and email address sent to us to give you the photos. We truly want the best for our couples and we'd appreciate it if you could send us a message. **UPDATE**: Messaging here since we cannot reply on Yelp since we need a response from you first to be able to do so. We have sent the photos to your email as discussed that we have on file on 4/12/2024 but we received the email that there was a delivery failure stating there was a "temporary problem" as your email inbox has run out of storage space. Thanks so much to CJ and his team: Ismael, Chloe, and Summer for all of their great work in helping us plan and coordinate our destination wedding! We really couldn’t have done this without them or have asked for better coordinators. Because of our busy schedules and procrastination, my wife and I had put off our wedding planning until roughly 3 months before our scheduled wedding date (we had booked the venue + date already from pre-covid). As you can imagine, because of that, a lot of things had to be done within this short time frame. Luckily, CJ and his team was available to help us with the planning and coordinate. I had been originally interested in his team due to his multi-lingual team ( I believe he has team members that speak fluent Chinese, Korean and Japanese). CJ and Ismael, who were involved in the planning phase, first built an overall timeline of what the day looked like, an initial floor plan based on our venue, followed by a very organized list of vendors that needed to secured, and essential things that needed to get prioritized. They also had many great vendor recommendations based on our budget and our envisioned design. Throughout the planning phase, they were also very flexible and accommodating as we had changed our design ideas multiple times and were quite selective about a few of the vendors. CJ is very honest about certain design ideas and pros/cons for each vendor which was extremely helpful for us in choosing vendors + planning the design. Fast forward to the wedding day, Ismael, Chloe and Summer were extremely organized and did an amazing job making sure everything went smoothly. Ismael helped us smoothly incorporate some last-minute design ideas for our guest tables, helped coordinate with all of our vendors to make sure everything was there, and made sure the whole event ran on schedule. Chloe was extremely helpful in guiding my wife’s and her family (and communicated with them in Korean) throughout the photoshoots and wedding day. Summer was great in helping to get everything set up, welcoming our family + guests, and helping us with our guestsbook. At the beginning of 2023, the thought of the whole planning process had been a very stressful thought for us, but with the great help of the Hawaii-day wedding team, our wedding turned out to be unforgettable and a lot more fun and memorable than we had expected. They had also made our lives so much easier throughout the planning process. TL;DR: Hawaii-day wedding team was great and helped us plan everything from scratch in a very short time. Highly recommend them, especially for those with family members from China/Korea.

The Hawaii-Day team was great! They gave us a very detailed overview of there services, and managed nearly all the vendor work for us. Additionally, they helped tremendously with our design and layout, making the process far less stressful. They recommended ALL our vendors (food, beauty, entertainment) and it all great. We truly had a dream wedding which would not have been possible without CJ, Sally, Ismael and Summer!

We loved working with CJ on our elopement in Honolulu. He was able to put everything together under 2 weeks of notice due to the changing pandemic rules . And I was very appreciative that the entire crew were very flexible to accommodate my schedule. CJ was very responsive, and his team provided very professional services. Matt and I had a wedding in Hawaii at Turtle Bay. CJ’s team was a very professional planner, top-notch photographer, and professional editor for the video. They exceeded all our expectations from beginning to end. Planning was seamless and he ensured that every detail of the event, from several days prior to our wedding event to meet and discuss final details, to the very end of the wedding night were all well coordinated. Having a professional planner was definitely a wise investment, as there are so many details to attend to for a special day that it takes much of the burden off the bride and groom for coordination and planning. Having a great planner like CJ to ensure all details and the event go smoothly, along with great photography and videography services that capture the event so beautifully like they did, I can say I wholeheartedly recommend him to ensure your day is only filled with wonderful memories for a lifetime!

Hiring CJ, Emma and Hawaii-Day Wedding & Events to be my wedding planning team was the best decision we could have ever made!! I decided to move my wedding date 9 month early due to my pregnancy. I definitely don’t think we could’ve done it without CJ and Emma, especially within less than 2-month timeline. For the planning phase, CJ and Emma made sure that we were on top of everything for the wedding, from following up timeline to booking the vendors, especially our wedding was destination wedding and planning phase was during my first uncomfortable trimester. They provided us vender and wedding place options with pro and cons and follow up multiple times before the deadline. Due to my body condition, my maid of honor Han was the main one involved in planning. CJ was very patient and thorough with everything and provided clear to-do list for each person to complete meanwhile keep everyone in the loop. On the day of the wedding, CJ team was on top of the timeline and made each session had enough time to celebrate as well as to take enough photos. Emma also went above and beyond to make sure everything went as smoothly as wedding could go-all the while smiling and easing my stress level. Our family was so enjoyed the day and we stayed over time at the dinner place. Both CJ and Emma stayed over till the end and helped us packing all the decors. We really appreciate their care and kindness. Another highlight of their services are vender choosing. The biggest concern of destination wedding is worrying vender quality. I have to say Emma has very good taste to choose venders, made our biggest day beautiful and elegant. I absolutely love my makeup artiest abbie, my ceremony place and dinner place. How many times have you been to a wedding and actually enjoyed the food and wine? In fact, most of our guests raved about this food and wines. Believe or not, CJ is not only a great wedding planner but also a professional photographer. I absolutely love our wedding photos and the highlight video. I got a lot of compliment on the photos and a lot of my friends mentioned how touchable the video was. Known I have an angel boy coming up, he even made us a nice electronic photo album as a gift to us with a lot of photo fine touches!! My second year wedding anniversary is coming very soon. Very thanks CJ, Emma, and Abbie for coordinating on my wedding day. This good team made my ideal dream come true. I especially remembered two days before my wedding day there was a tremendous rainstorm that ruined my original wedding location. CJ and Emma immediately informed me and help me think up Plan B. They were very efficient to find me a new place and coordinated all vendors the day after. My husband and I were very lucky to rehearse on time, and enjoyed our real wedding day on April 15, 2018. Amazing Team and give us the perfect wedding! The Hawaii- Day is such a professional and diligent team. My husband and I planed to have a wedding at the winter. So Honolulu became our first choice. However, we lived in the NYC. We cannot really talk with planing team face to face, which made us feel very worried. Durning preparing time ( about half year), we had couple phone calls with Hawaii-Day team. They provided us several wedding locations, budget and progress. They explained the difference between those plans very clearly, it made us easy to make a choice. We headed to Hawaii one weeks ago. That was first time we met with CJ; He is a super nice and professional gentlemen. Within 2 hours. He brought us to the wedding locations, chose the wedding dinner and explained the specific plans. Meanwhile, he companied with us to buy the Honolulu cookies as our wedding lucky treats lol On the wedding day, we just focused on ourselves and enjoy the whole day. Because the markup team, photography team and manage team already prepared everything to you. That is a perfect wedding. All our requirement and expected, HAWAII-DAY team helped us realized. We very appreciate what they bring to us. Meanwhile, we got the baby now, we decide to bring the baby back to Hawaii and get the family photoshoot by Hawaii- Day team again. The good wedding planner is super important for us, because their professional and passion; you can save the time and energy. Your big day will become such memorable! I spent a lot of time on searching for a day-off coordinator when my fiance and I decided to host a destination wedding in Honolulu. After contacting a bunch of vendors and talking to plenty of them on the phone, I found CJ and his team is the most under-rated vendor for wedding planning/coordination services. CJ was very accessible and always keen to offer his help even at the very early stage of my vendor searching process. We scheduled a phone call for discussing services his team can offer but it turned out we received much more information than what we expected, including suggestions on how to negotiate with our hotel venue, what we might miss during wedding planning and how the planning time table should look like - this is indeed much more than a day-off coordinator should offer. We soon made a decision on hiring his team as our day-off coordinator. During the course of early wedding preperation like vendor searching, hotel venue planning, venue design, and etc. CJ was always very helpful and tried to provide all his honest opinions whenever we needed any advices. We are just like all other couples during this difficult time when Coronavirus disrupted everyone's wedding planning. CJ was the first and the only one vendor who reached out to us and reminded us to contact all other vendors about the potential changes in our wedding plan. This absolutely shows his sense of responsibility and enthusiastic to offer his help to clients. Although we arrived at the difficult decision to cancel our wedding, I'd still like to give CJ and his team a 5/5 rating!

CJ and his team were my day of coordinators and they were nothing short of amazing. Leading up to the day, they were very thorough and created a whole timeline for my reception and made sure they had every little detail down. I didn’t worry about a thing on my special day. Later when I found out there were a few setting up hiccups, I didn’t even notice it the day of because CJ remained diligent and efficient throughout the day without putting any worries in my mind. They did an awesome job on our wedding filming! The videographer was very professional and the final video came out really good. Our communication with CJ was easy and smooth, he listened carefully to our requests and tried his best to meet our needs. We happened to meet CJ when my husband and I are looking at the outside of Ko Olina Chapel. We were hesitating if we could look inside and CJ introduced us the whole chapel friendly. After that, we got his contact. We compared with other agents and decided to choose Hawaii-day wedding. It's a smart choice. We had the wedding ceremony @ Akala Chapel, which is a pure white and beautiful one! And the dinner reception @Helakulani, which is a five-star hotel. They helped us with each detail and planned it so well!!!! My husband and I, my whole family and all the guests said this wedding is so successful and gorgeous. It is not deniable wedding is costly, but they understood our budget and helped us on deciding the decoration. Thank you so much!!!

We just had a destination wedding in Waikiki. My husband and I was looking for a Hawaiian wedding planner since the beginning of the year 2017. I found Hawaii-day Wedding and CJ from the internet and contacted him directly. We went to Hawaii to meet CJ and his team member Emma on August 2017, after we talked to him through WeChat. They showed us few venues and explained the different packages they were offering. After we came back home and decided to go with one of chapel package. The wedding day, CJ brought along with his crew members with him. The Whole team are professional, enthusiastic and so easy to work with. I am so glad that we chose him as our wedding planner.

My fiance and I are from a small town in Idaho so planning a destination wedding seemed incredibly difficult. After almost signing with another wedding coordinator, we found Hawaii-Day Wedding & Events and called CJ immediately. Our conversation showed to my fiance and I that we had found our fit! CJ, Emma, Michael and Brad (with their whole team behind the scenes) made our day better than we could have imagined or planned for. We had never been to the our wedding location and neither had they. Needless to say, they know exactly what they are doing and willing to accommodate whatever wishes we had. Janelle was a fun and terrific planner and made all the details of the wedding simple and organized from the moment we contacted Hawaii-Day! She made sure to keep us updated on everything that we needed to do throughout the process and communicated with us reliably, making sure that we were always in the loop, knowing everything we needed to know and on time. Unfortunately, Janelle wasn't able to be present with us on the actual wedding day, but CJ and the rest of the team were very helpful and made the event fun from start to finish! I didn't need to concern myself with anything, and we were able to perform a beautiful wedding on the scenic Waimanalo Bay Beach without any issues at all. We've just received the ceremony and highlights videos, and they are very high quality and beautifully done and capture all the best moments! Last, but not least, for such a complete package (photos, videos, ceremony, decorations, hair/makeup, etc) and excellent, personal service, the price was way below the competition. Other wedding planners we considered in Hawaii had to stretch themselves quite a bit to even come close to what Hawaii-Day was offering from the outset. Definitely recommend if you're looking to have a wedding in Hawaii, on Oahu!

I chose coordinator, photographer, videographer, make-up artist and florist from Hawaii-Day. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Emma provided me tons of great suggestions about wedding planning. She helped me take care of all sorts of communications with different vendors. My wedding turned out SO beautiful! I got my videos and original photos in less than 2 weeks. I just got the edited photos. They are gorgeous. I highly recommend CJ’s team!!

My wife and I had a fantastic experience planning and executing our wedding with CJ and his team. It all started roughly a year before our wedding date when we decided to have a destination wedding in Hawaii (we are from the continental U.S.). Having never been to Hawaii , we wanted to work with someone who’s very knowledge about local culture and different venues, who’s prompt in answering our questions and who can strike good deals on our behalf. CJ offers very comprehensive packages with a variety of options and we were very satisfied to be able to find something we like. My wife also had a great experience working with Emma who was there every step of the way to answer all her questions regarding decorating the venue and other logistics for the day of the wedding to ensure everything was arranged the way she wanted. During the actual wedding day, we were even more impressed with Cj and his photo/filming crew’s professionalism and everything went beyond our expectations! In fact, we were so happy with how our wedding planned out that we decided to work with CJ again for our 1-year anniversary photo shoot in Hawaii again! Overall, If you are looking for someone who’s professional, communicative, and flexible in personalizing a wedding plan that suits your need, CJ and his team are highly recommended!

CJ is a fantastic wedding planner!!! He and his team helped me plan my wedding in Feb 2016. Having a destination wedding could be very stressful and difficult for someone who has never been to Hawaii before. CJ is very easy to work with. He helped me pick a perfect venue for my small wedding. His team also took care of everything including photographer, videographer, florists, venue decoration, make-up designer and DJ. The all-inclusive package his team provided is a great relief for me since I only had 5 months to plan my wedding. And I must say that the photographer and videographer in his team are the BEST!!! They took fantastic pictures and video! On the wedding day, he is a great coordinator even though he was a little bit under the weather. He made sure that everything is on schedule and kept my guests entertained. Anyway, CJ is a very reliable wedding planner and full of surprises! I would highly recommend him if you're planning your big day in Hawaii!!

I hired CJ as my wedding coordinator for my big day in June 2016. I would honestly say that CJ well executed every single task as we communicated and even stepped out of his zone by also playing the roles of part time photographer, translator, makeup assistant and weather forecaster hah! He is the man! Although my hotel has their own coordinator, I strongly recommend CJ as he is a person you can trust and rely on. With him I wasn't nervous at all on my big day. The big plus: his photography style isn't the usual one you will find around. His is very scenic and colorful, even in cloudy days! A must go for blue sky/ocean seeking brides!

Wedding days can be hectic and if you’re worried about things that may get lost in translation she speaks both English and Korean for families who would like to speak their native language for clarity and comfort!
