The day of coordinator helped a lot! It was beautiful and they were easy to work with. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained.
Only negatives are the A/C isn’t great in the bridal suite (it’s great otherwise in the rest of the chapel)
The time slots are a little awkward to choose from
OMG I don't even know where to start with how amazing Hawk Hollow was for our wedding. Jennifer Geiger and staff were soooo helpful, talented, knowledgable, and kind throughout this entire process. I probably sent Jennifer over 100 emails and she answered every single one and never gave me any grief. I felt like I had so much support in everything that we did and planned, it just made our wedding so much better. My maid of honor, who made our desserts, said that bar and waiting staff were so helpful to her the morning of with setting stuff around. The waiting and bar staff were super efficient with dinner and drink service I have gotten so many compliments! Tracy was our coordinator for rehearsal and day of and what a life saver she was. She kept us on track, gave feedback, and really just ensured the day ran smoothly. We had to switch times around with another vendor due to something coming up and Jennifer was so accommodating, I really had nothing to worry about, I kept waiting for something to go wrong and nothing ever did, the day was just perfect. We used the chapel, lake view room, AND the mini putt putt course (for cocktail hour!) all at Hawk Hollow and I don't think we would have done anything differently! I highly, highly recommend you take advantage of what Hawk Hollow has to offer for your wedding day, such as offering a free rehearsal dinner room when you book with them, ceremony coordinator, wedding packages, in house catering, and phenomenal staff! I can't thank them enough!
The venue and the chapel were beautiful and perfect for our wedding. The catering staff was very attentive and food was excellent! Our wedding event planner Jennifer helped us tremendously and worked out any detail we asked for.
Chapel attendant, Tracy RUINED MY WEDDING! SHES IN ALL OF MY CHAPEL PHOTOS, CREEPING AROUND THE BACKGROUND. She literally stood inside the chapel as my wedding party walked down the aisle. SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHERE TO STAND. THEN SHE LIED AND KICKED US OUT EARLY. SHE LITERALLY DESTROYED MY WEDDING, AS DID JENNIFER, EAGLE EYE WEDDING COORDINATOR. How do you guys sleep at night knowing you destroyed the most important day of my life? Including my parents 50 year renewal??? ZERO REMORE. DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. SEE EAGLE EYE REVIEW
We went with the Chapel at Hawk Hollow and the Lakeview Room for our ceremony and reception and could not have had a more beautiful day! Both spaces were gorgeous and the prices were WAY better than any other venues we looked at in Lansing or Grand Rapids --not to mention we got an even better deal because of the bridal show special. The chapel was the perfect size for us and we loved the beautiful wood doors, quaint interior, lovely garden outside, and spacious getting ready area. We also loved the high ceilings, natural light, and wrap-around porch at the Lakeview Room. The food was delicious and Hawk Hollow did an excellent job caring for our guests with allergies! We liked that Hawk Hollow had in-house catering, which meant one less vendor we had to search for. The only downside of our venue was that the office staff were sometimes hard to contact. When we would call it would almost always go to voicemail, so it was annoying to play phone tag. However, Carla and Megan were typically quick to respond via email. Overall, we had a great experience and loved that Hawk Hollow allowed us to have our dream venue at a reasonable price!
The lake point room was perfect for our wedding! Accommodated many food allergies and requests!
Overall, we loved everything about the venue/chapel and having our wedding and reception here. The food was excellent, the cake (make in house by Naomi) was above and beyond our expectations and exactly what we asked for. The venue was very clean, staff was organized, prepared and very accommodating to our needs. The price (comparatively) for having everything in one place was right where we needed it to be and reasonable for what we wanted.
The only negative thing I would say about the event/venue is that sometimes the staff could be difficult to get ahold of. While everything worked out fine in the end, in the craziness of planning a wedding this can add some unneeded stress. The only other thing we found a bit confusing was that you work with a event coordinator up until the day of and then you are handed off to a wedding coordinator that you do not meet until rehearsal.
At the end of the day, we would still choose Hawk Hollow again and would recommend them for your wedding day.
Everything was great and ran smoothly. The venue is beautiful and a great place especially if you have a larger wedding on a smaller budget. Everyone from the coordinator to the on site staff the day of were so helpful and nice. The cake was AMAZING - if you do your wedding there, I also recommend doing your cake from their on-site baker. Special thanks to all the coordinators for putting up with how absent minded and forgetful of everything I was,.
From beginning to end, Hawk Hollow and their wonderful crew were responsive, creative, and patient with our event. Everyone I worked with was helpful and our event turned our beautifully. The food was delicious, the linens were lovely, and the facility was impeccably clean. They allowed us in the day before to set up because there wasn't an event and were accommodating to the issues and timeline required.
On our first visit to Hawk Hollow/Eagle Eye, we were very impressed with the cleanliness and appearance of the facilities and grounds, especially for the price point. A lot is included in their rental fees, and really it's up to you to decide what you want to pay for. The scenery is so pretty, even if you have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. We chose to have our ceremony at the chapel, since in Michigan you never know what the weather will be, and it was a great spot! The coy pond outside was great for pictures, and the inside was as well. The coordinator we had helping us for the ceremony was very good. She was professional and quite helpful, while being accommodating to our wishes. The staff allowed my mom to come multiple times prior to the day to try out decorations and look at the rooms again. The reception hall was also great, the veranda was a nice place to get some fresh air. We did a pasta buffet and the food was quite good. Had some party subs later on that everyone liked as well. They were very receptive to changing certain things (we did ice cream instead of cake) and they were helpful with planning the logistics. We did have an issue with some gluten-free options we were told would be available, but they weren't ready at the same time as the buffet (at least 30 mins later) and they only had half as many as we had asked for. However, they did recognize the severity of their mistake, and made it right in the end. To gather all the food and beverage information, they send a two-week prior final questionnaire which to me felt a little late, it made everything feel rushed and stressful while we were figuring out the small final details. So my advice would be to try to discuss things earlier, and double-check special situations with the event planner. Unfortunately, we were too busy to be on top of it at the time. I also wish we had been reminded when filling out the questionnaire for the bridal party to bring their IDs with them for the complimentary champagne toast. It was probably in the paperwork somewhere but we didn't remember, and it put a small kink in the plan. A few members of the party had given their personal items to people already in the room (I had absolutely nothing on me) so we had to defer to a non-alcoholic toast (not the end of the world, but was annoying). Those are the only issues we had, and what was keeping my rating at a 4 rather than a 5. In relation to the whole day, they were minor issues. I would still very much recommend!!!
He work with HH for our reception. Flexibility of the vendor: 100%. Collaborative spirit: 100% Room cleanness and timing: perfect! staff on the wedding day (maitre+ waiters): perfect! Food: excelent! (we did not have any complaints or comments at all from our guest, they even prepare 5 meals: vegetarian, chicken, filet mignon, kids menu (chicken tenders), salmon and gluten free menu! all great!) Bar: we work with open bar with them for the maximum possible hours, we pay some extra for crown royal and grey goose but totally worth it! Landscaping: the view of the room from the first floor of the golf course is simply breathtaking! we love it!. extras: they gave us 4 tickets for golfing that my husband use prior to the wedding to enjoy some golfing with family members!. Sales coordinator: George Veres , super professional .
I booked our ceremony with The Chapel at Hawk Hollow and we needed absolutely nothing for decor! The landscape was stunning and our pictures turned out beautiful, as they all were shot in and outside The Chapel. The Chapel fit our guest well and it was such a beautiful moment for my husband and I. Thank you!! <3
Our wedding at Eagle Eye was fantastic! The food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous and clean. Our event coordinator, Carla, was very helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all of my phone calls and emails in a timely fashion (usually 24 hours or less) and seemed genuinely happy to have my fiance and I as a guest at her banquet center. We couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you Eagle Eye!!
It was a beautiful venue, the food is fantastic, the event staff was great, our bartender was very nice, prompt, and everyone was happy. For the most part we enjoyed it however, our sales event planner Carla was awful. We won't have an event there again if she is the one who would be planning it. We constantly had to remind her of things we had already discussed because she kept saying she didn't recall going over it. She was rude and her demeanor was always negative. We asked about our final appointment and she said she would contact us 4-6 weeks prior and we didn't hear back from her at all. We had to call just before the two week mark and then she said we have to meet the following week. Since it was so last minute at that point we were only able to meet in the evening which she wouldn't do and so we had to do it the Saturday before our wedding. It caused a lot of stress. I can understand not doing evening appointments but when it is her fault it was so last minute she should have accommodated. I was disappointed in the way we were treated and she wasn't even the one who did our final appointment. I have heard from others who are having the same issue with Carla so just beware if that is who your event planner is. Otherwise I would recommend the facilities, food and everything else!
Hawk Hollow was such a beautiful location for our wedding! They keep the flowers and curb appeal perfect for photos, and the interior of the chapel is pretty and easy to decorate. The coordinator, Lisa, was amazing and super helpful with our rehearsal and day of coordinating. Everything went smmoothly - couldn't have asked for anything better!
We had our ceremony at the Hawk Hollow chapel. It was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. Luckily the chapel doesn't need much decorating, it has charm and class. We were married on a Sunday in May, and the price was cost effective. Plus Hawk Hollow allows you to use a banquet hall there or Eagle Eye.
We used a banquet room at HH for our reception. The room and the property were beautiful and I loved all the event staff we worked with. However, this place costs a lot of money in food and we weren't happy with our food the night of the reception. We had done a tasting prior and picked meats based on that and they were not prepared the same the night of. Also, the food wasn't kept hot which is always unpleasant especially for meat. Overall we were happy with the staff, the location etc. but to spend thousands of dollars on room temperature tough meat is not a good experience.
The staff at Eagle Eye/Hawk Hollow went above and beyond to make sure our special day was amazing. They answered every question we had and made sure everything was what we wanted. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
Hawk Hollow provided us with a great wedding on all levels. We used the chapel as well as the lakeview room at hawk hollow. Their service during our rehearsal and day of was great! We worked with Melissa from out of state for months prior to the wedding and we received prompt and informative responses every time we had a question. The food was great and served to the dining room in a timely manner.
We never had any issues and realized the staff was working very smoothly to provide us a wonderful evening!
Amazing customer service
The food was not that good and we had a problem with the bridal party being hounded for ID's while taking pictures. The bride/groom had not been told of the need for IDs until this time.
Great staff, great food, great service
This place is beautiful and the employees were wonderful. They helped to make sure that everything went smoothly. I am definitely pleased with the service.
We used Hawk Hollow for our wedding and reception and had such a wonderful experience! We booked the chapel and the Lakeview Room. The staff was fantastic and so easy to work with! They went above and beyond to make our day special - lining up golf carts for bridal party travel to name one fun thing they did! I would HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding.
I had a great experience planning and the day of the wedding was amazing!
I had an amazing expierence with Eagle Eye. It is beautiful and they have great food! The managers and cordinators are all great and quick to help. Any questions i had they didn't hestitate to answer, so helpful. The only complaint i have is about the service the night of the wedding. There was some confusion about numerous things that should have not been issues. Overall it was a great expeirence and they helped make our special day amazing!
Surprisingly the cheapest venue we found and the best value! Amazing job! We loved the choices of colors, food, scenery, etc. Our wedding was in November and the landscape was incredible. The staff was great and very accomodating. Highly recommended!
The chapel is cute, no frills though. The landscaping outside is beautiful. We took most of our photos by the mini waterfall.
When we decided to have a June wedding, there was one thing I knew I wanted--- windows in my reception room. When I toured Eagle Eye's Grand Garden Room, I was sold. The location could not have been more beautiful, and the views are amazing. All of my guests raved about how gorgeous it was. I worked with Carla and Sarah. Both were so easy and nice to work with. They were also very quick to communicate! I had so many questions, and they always responded to my emails right away. The food was outstanding. I received numerous compliments from guests (We served Beef Tenderloin and Saltimbocca Chicken). The staff there was polite and made sure everything about our day ran perfect and smooth. The only negative I can come up with is that there was often a line at the bar. I think they could have probably used another bartender... but maybe my guests were just really big partiers :) All in all, I am SO happy I chose Eagle Eye. They truly made my day perfect, and I recommend them to all Lansing brides!
The staff at Hawk Hollow/Eagle Eye are great to work with. We worked with Melissa as our event coordinator and couldn't be more pleased. She was willing to make changes and give her input on what were some of our better options if we were headed in the wrong direction. On the day of our event, everything went perfect. We couldn't have asked for a friendlier staff, and the service that was provided was quick. Definitely would book more events here if we needed to in the future!
I loved my wedding venue! I had not only my reception here I had my ceremony here as well. They have a beautiful chapel on the grounds that you can use. They let us use golf cart free of charge so that some of my older guests wouldnt have to walk to the whole way to the reception. Total for reception and ceremony spots, food, cake, and bar we spent about $6500.
The facility was gorgeous and the onsite wedding coordinators were very extremely helpful! Would definitely recommend the location!
Great people to work with!!!!
The place was beautiful. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. They went beyond and above to accommodate our needs. Would definitely go there again.
Although the price is a bit higher, when all considered, this is the venue we ultimately chose because of both chapel and reception being onsite and not having to worry about catering anything in.
We had our reception in the Hillside room at Eagle Eye. We barely decorated the room because it is so nice as it is. The food was so delicious. The people were friendly and easy to work with. Anytime we had a concern, they were quick to help, even after the wedding day was over. We also attended a reception at Hawk Hollow. Both buildings are attractive and had great parties.
Eagle Eye has a very friendly and organized staff that guide you through the planning process very well. The night of the reception, they were very easy to work with as well and very accommodating. They helped with several things that the contract said they were not committed to do, such as helping my mom tear down decorations. Besides the service, the place is absolutely breathtaking as well. We had our reception at Eagle Eye's Grand Garden Room and it was very spacious and the dance floor is huge. Additionally, the food was absolutely delicious!! I couldn't have been happier with this venue and would recommend it to everyone.
My reception was perfect. The staff was great. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The back drop of the golf course was perfect.
Naomi was absolutely amazing! The cake and cupcakes turned out perfectly! And everyone just loved the flavors!
From the venue to the food to the entire day, we couldn't be happier with Eagle Eye. They went above and beyond our expectations for both our wedding and reception. It was just amazing and everything we'd ever hoped and dreamed of. The staff, food and venue are incredible. We wouldn't have changed a thing! Thank you!!
I would recommend Eagle Eye/Hawk Hollow to any bride looking for a classy venue with a mid-range price. The staff are friendly and flexible -- for example, we used a dish listed only on the 'plated' menu for our buffet style dinner. Additionally, the reception is efficiently run by the meal staff-- we had 260 guests at our reception, and everyone got through the buffet line in a very timely manner. The rooms are decorated in warm, neutral colors, so that any color scheme will match, and each room has beautiful views of the golf course. Eagle Eye, in particular, allows a spectacular view of the sunset for evening receptions. The only concern with the venue is that there can be up to 4 weddings going on in the building at once -- however, while in attendance at a reception, you wouldn't even know that other receptions are going on because of soundproof walls and a staff that is dedicated to making each reception unique. Finally, the venue is well priced as compared to other comparable venues in the area -- the price includes linens, china, simple centerpieces, table numbers; and the venue is very flexible in adding as many special tables as you need, as well as varying the number of chairs at each table according to your instruction. Overall, we had a very good experience working with Eagle Eye/Hawk Hollow
We used Eagle Eye for our both our ceremony and reception. After scouting multiple venues in the Lansing area, Eagle Eye was the obvious choice. The main selling point for me was their beautiful wedding garden where we married, but their delicious food and cost were big positives in our book as well. While many venues will nickel and dime you for things like linens, silverware, etc., at Eagle Eye, everything is included. The rental costs are maybe a bit higher than other venues for that reason, but we believed we still came out ahead. One really convenient part about Eagle Eye is that you have the option of having your wedding cake baked on-site, so you don't have to worry about transporting it across town. That said, the one slight disappointment of the day was our cake, which didn't turn out quite like the picture we had given the baker. But still, it looked fine and tasted great.
Our experience at Eagle Eye Golf Course for our reception was absolutely amazing. We had an great time and everyone made the process so incredibly easy. All of the staff kept the reception flowing and dealt with any issue that came up without even bothering me. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!
This place was the perfect place to have my Wedding reception. They did a great job with the planning and they were very easy to work with. The food tasting was great to have, it gave us an idea of how the food tasted and how it was displayed. They did a great job with the food on the day of the wedding and setting up everything the way that we wanted.
Everything at Hawk was fantastic! We received numerous compliments on the food and the facility. The staff was helpful and put my mind at ease. The grounds were beautiful, as well. We had no problems with the golf store being right across the hall from the reception, either. I highly recommend this venue!
I used Eagle Eye for both my ceremony (in the garden) and for the reception - Hillside room. Not only was the site perfectly clean, well decorated, and beautiful, but the staff was OUTSTANDING! I dealt with Sarah specifically, and she made everything perfect. All of those annoying questions that a bride has at the last minute were nothing to her - she answered with such promptness and sweetness that I felt as though I were her only customer. Plus, the food was delicious. No one went home hungry, and everyone had a fantastic time.
I wish that I could throw another big event just so that I could use them again...although this will be my one and only wedding! :)
We had our reception at eagle eye. The staff was great to work with. The prices were great for the quality of service we recieved. The food was great and they were very helpful.
The food and Service was wonderful. All of our guests loved the layout and that they could go outside and see the great view!
The people at eagle eye were very helpful and hard working. The day went perfectly. From planning appointments to cleanup after the wedding, working with them was a breeze.
we had our ceremony outside on the lawn at the Hawk Hollow Golf course. It overlooks a gorgeous pond and golf course. The building is beautiful and covered in flowers in the summer. The staff was so helpful in planning and making sure everything went as planned. They truley know what they're doing. After having our wedding here i would never want the ceremony any other place.
I got married at Hawk Hollow on New Years Eve and it was a wonderful experience. Working with Melissa was very easy and she was really helpful. The food was wonderful and we were very happy with our choice!
Really great job on their part, only 2 main complaints. First their needed to be better air conditioning, it was a little too warm in the reception room with so many people and 2 the cost of the alcohol was so high that it was kind of annoying. $275 for a domestic keg that at the store down the street would have been $75. That's just excessive in charging too much.
We had both our ceremony and reception here. Everything was great. The flowers and plants outdoors were well taken care of and the room inside was clean and modern. Staff was easy to work with in planning. Our guests appreciated having everything in one place.
Our reception was held in the Patio room at Hawk Hollow. Our guests had a very large, and private patio overlooking a golf course, lake, and then woods. It was perfect for our afternoon cocktails and dinner.
The cake was wonderful! Beautiful and DELICIOUS. She uses a mousse in each layer and its so moist! I wish I had actually gotten to eat more of it!!! Gorgeous she iced the cake with white frosting and then black swirls with roses in between each layer. Stunning. She's very friendly has a lot of pictures of her work.
