Hayes Hollow Hidden Falls by Walters Wedding Estates

s Hollow at Hidden Falls had it all, even a waterfall. Three suites! Family, Groom, and Bridal were all wonderful to have and each had ample space for everyone. The venue is owned and operated by Walters Wedding Estates - a corporate guru that owns many wedding venues in TX. They operate like a full on sales pitch in the beginning, but we did get a nice add-on for free when we signed our contract. The showcases they hold at the venues are the best opportunity you have to learn more about the exclusive vendors that are offered through the venue. Attend as many of these as possible before your wedding to sample their food and bakery items. Tastings of food and cake/desserts are not free if you purchase catering, which we didn't love, but we dealt with. They have different tiers of packages with pricing that starts fair/reasonable to more on the upscale/expensive side if you're looking for add-ons. We chose packages that included catering, bar, stationary, photo booth, DJ, photography, and bakery. This included staffing. We DIY'd all of our event decor and florals, but decor and floral packages are also offered through the venue. We do feel we saved a lot of $ by going with the packages of vendors rather than hiring different vendors individually. This part was really convenient in the long run, and the teams we worked with through the venue on our wedding day were all fantastic and their staff was wonderful. Pertaining to the journey leading up to wedding day, Walters' planning staff seemed to have quite a lot of turnover when we first signed on. Initially, we were assigned a planner that was awful. She did not know simple answers to questions about the venue space, nor did she respond to many inquiries we sent her. Out of nowhere, a new planner was assigned to our wedding, and she seemed much better equipped to do the job. She ended up getting moved around and then a third planner ended up being our final person to work with. Enter Malorri James - the wedding planner queen of all. Malorri made up for all the lack of communication and knowledge we received from our first planner. Finally, we felt like someone was in control, doing the job we hoped they would, following up with all the details, Q&A, and reminders. Malorri was a shining star, including on our wedding day, when we felt we needed someone to really step up and into the coordinating role. Walters assigns a day of coordinator but we never spoke to, met, or got to know her until one week before the wedding. We did not like this and we felt that Walters really should be getting your coordinator involved and introduced at least 1-2 months ahead of the wedding. Our day of coordinator was not the greatest. Family and wedding party kept telling me she was nowhere to be found and when she was, she couldn't answer anyone's questions regarding timeline or what they should do next or be ready for. Kind of the whole point of coordinating a wedding should be to know the timeline. Malorri stepped in after bringing this to her attention and immediately, the vibes changed. She made up for our day of coordinator's shortcomings - which we are incredibly thankful for. Our wedding day turned out to be beautiful, guests were raving about the gorgeous venue space, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We are so thankful to Malorri, and all the vendors we worked with through Walters for our wedding day.

), the planning was stress free (Malorri is amazing at addressing every detail without things becoming overwhelming), and the day of felt so smooth (Malorri is an angel and made us feel very well tended to the entire day). The "all-inclusive" venue is for sure the way to go. We were still able to customize our wedding how we wanted to because of the variety of options Walter's offers. We never felt limited to what we could do (we didn't receive any grief, even if our requests may have been inconvenient). We also appreciated that we never felt pressured to add "extras" to our day. We cannot praise Malorri enough - she is truly wonderful at what she does. We feel as though we gained a friend in her!

h job to ensure we did not miss anything. She had a detailed tracker and continually followed up on items that needed to be completed. She was patient, kind, understanding, and supportive. When I was unsure about the dressing, she went above and beyond to work with the chef to design a dressing I wanted for Walter’s house salad. She also partnered with us to allow the Alamo Café queso fountain during the happy hour. During the day of, she was tentative and thought of everything. The little things matter, and she does not skip a beat. She checked in on me several times and continually asked if I needed anything. She also supportive of doing two rehearsals, one with me and one without my future husband. After the ceremony, she brought our specialty drinks to the wedding party while we took photos. She ensured that everything was on time and the evening went smoothly. After the reception, she also helped clean up and stayed with us until midnight. Lastly, she wrote us a lovely card and opening it the next day was a surprise. Malorri is such a pleasure and joy to work with. She puts a smile on your face, and her personality is infectious. I have very high expectations, trust me, and she is the right person to get the job done. You would want her to plan your wedding and any future events! Our wedding was a dream come true, and I am truly blessed to have her be a part of our special day.
