ng from the other side of the country, and so were limited in the times we could visit them for a tasting. They made a tasting work during an inconvenient time for them by hosting us in the home of one of their staff. Overall, I recommend. I only gave four stars, however, because email communication prior to the wedding was very difficult. I found I had to reach out multiple times to get a response. This caused unnecessary planning stress. Also, the salmon (one of our entrees) at the tasting was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, but when served at the wedding it was quite dry, and stayed largely untouched by guests. Tasting quality should definitely reflect wedding quality. No complaints about any of the other food.

ese bar was a huge hit, and they even worked with us to make a logistically difficult caramel apple bar become a reality!!! All their staff were courteous and efficient, and the bartenders were great. People are STILL talking about the chicken and waffles apps we had two months later! Seriously, can’t recommend Hazelbea enough!!!

ught separately, and the staff was happy to take them and arrange them beautifully for us. We had a casual outdoor wedding in a very rural area, but the remote location didn't phase the staff one bit. Very accommodating!

brunch and wedding reception. Rachel was so patient with my family and I and all of our opinions on the food at our first meeting, and the few changes we had after. She was able to come up with creative options within our budget to help us get the quality of food we were going for. We made a custom menu working with Rachel it was really important to me to have unique food unlike your typical wedding food with a southern flare and boy did they deliver! The food was great, and the service was phenomenal! We were able to purchase our own alcohol and have them provide the bartenders which was a huge plus for our budget. All of our guest talked about how much they enjoyed the food and I just can’t say enough good things about how it turned out.

k loin, mac n cheese, and green beans for the wedding). We honeymooned in Charleston and HazelBea's food was seriously better than our meals in the actual low country. In addition to the amazing food, HazelBea's service was impeccable. We planned an outdoor ceremony and thunderstorms came through right as we were supposed to start. The Hazelbea team rolled with the punches and started cocktail hour early so that our guests could wait under the tent with food and alcohol while we waited out the storm. They made sure to bring in drinks and food for the wedding party while we waited to get started, so we didn't miss out on the amazing cocktail hour snacks. The team helped my family move tables and chairs in from the rain, helped clean up spills on the dance floor, plus numerous other things that we didn't expect them to help with but truly appreciated. We even got a to-go bag from them as we got into our car at the end of the night. I could not be happier with our experience with HazelBea Catering and will be recommending them to anyone and everyone in the future. The food was perfect and the team was so amazing and accommodating. They helped our wedding go smoothly and made sure everyone had what they needed, despite the rain trying to cause chaos.

it to our rental house. I can not say enough about how delicious the food was. All of our guests commented on how good all of the food was, especially the pulled pork barbecue. The hummus and guacamole were some of the best I have ever had. HazelBea will be happy to know some of our local guests took contact information for their future reference. All in all, food and service was outstanding. I highly recommend HazelBea!

hat we had some guests with dietary restrictions and were assured that food would be provided for them. That never happened, meaning we had guests that didn't get to eat. On top of everything, the caterer herself, didn't show up to the event and tried to bill us for extra people and services beyond the scope of our contract then blamed us when we discussed these issues with her. Do not hire this company.

address your concerns. You mention the food - I understand that the salmon was not successful. We have since let the cook go that managed the food for your wedding -specifically because of this particular mishandling. Also, after speaking with your husband about the food, he agreed that the six other dishes beyond the salmon were quite good and enjoyed by all the guests. Regarding the vegan meal: I once again spoke with your husband about this and profusely apologized for this. I take full responsibility for not preparing the single vegan meal and expressed how mortified I was to your husband when we spoke. Regarding my participation: yes, I did not attend your reception. I was a guest at the wedding of one of my dearest childhood friends. We hold an incredible amount of successful weddings each year - sometimes more than one in a weekend - it is not possible for me to be at each and every one. When I spoke to your husband about this, he expressed his relief that I had an important prior engagement and was not simply neglecting to be there. In our five years of catering weddings, we have never once received a negative review. It literally breaks my heart that you feel this way - and I tried to do whatever I could to address your concerns - most recently, we did not require for you to pay the final monetary installment, which I had hoped might also help a little. I'm not sure what else we can do except to apologize once again and continue to strive to always improve and do the very best we can. I hope you and your husband are enjoying this new chapter in your life as one and I wish you the very best.
