Heart 2 Heart Catering

We worked with Heart 2 Heart for our October 2023 wedding. Throughout the wedding planning process Mary Beth was extremely helpful! She provided us with a delicious tasting and was quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. We used both their food and bartending services for the day. The cocktail hour food we had was teriyaki meatballs, crab cakes, and a giant charcuterie board which were all big hits with our guests! For dinner we had the white wine chicken, prime rib, mac n cheese, a sweet potato bar, mixed veggies, rolls, and a Ceasar salad. The food was great, but we did have some issues with the service. First off while I was in the midst of getting ready and into my dress, they interrupted to say they never got the list of people who needed the gluten free/vegetarian meal. This was a blatant lie. I had sent over the list of names and the tables they were sitting at in September over a month before the wedding and proceeded to forward them this same message. If they had just said they were missing it and needed it again I would have understood that, but the way it was approached was accusatory and came off as they were trying to blame me for something they misplaced. Then even after sending that information over again when it came time to dinner, they couldn't even get the special allergy meals to the right tables. When they did get some of the meals to the right place and the people had questions about the dish and what spices were in it and the process to make sure it was safe to eat no one from Heart 2 Heart could answer their questions. Not the servers, not the kitchen staff, etc. This led to some very upset guests at the wedding and some people going without food. We also had some issues with the servers' taking drinks/plates of food that were barely touch away when guests got up. This then led to us running out of certain alcohols very early in the night, because people would have a couple sips of wine set down the glass to go talk with someone come back to their table and it was gone. The Mother of the Groom even stated she had to go ask for a glass of red wine 4 times in an hour because she would have a sip be pulled away to handle something and come back to the glass at her seat being gone. Overall, we enjoyed using heart 2 heart and were satisfied with the food, but the service was not great and no one at dinner time being able to answer what was in the allergy friendly meal was very concerning.
